Throughout the whole time on the road Storm hadn't spoken one word to anyone in the cart with her. Sophie saw that she wore a menacing glare the whole time and even when they stopped for camp. She got why she was mad in the first place, with Moo just up and leaving no question, taking her sister with her, and not telling her the reason why he left.

If she were in Storm's position right now, she would be pissed too, but when Storm was pissed she stayed pissed until you gave her an explanation; a really good

Izzy thought it would be best not to bother her when she was like this, but Sophie really wanted to talk to her as she didn't want Storm screaming at Moo's face when they got there.

Or something worse.

Sophie gulped hoping this wasn't a bad idea, "Um, Storm . . .?"

Her eyes remained on the road, "What?" her tone ice cold.

She frowned, "I know you're upset, I would be too, but Moo had a good reason to leave."

"Oh, so you're saying that it was a good idea for him to just take my sister and niece with him too? Greatest reason in the world if you ask me."

"Storm . . . "

Her face softened as she sighed, "You're right, I'm being a bitch," she turned to look at her, "I can't believe that he would do this to me."

Sophie raised a brow at that, "Taking Vi?"

"No . . ." she looked down, "not telling me about our moms being, ya know, taken."

"You know how much he loves Ms. Tori and Cobra, he'd leave in a heartbeat if knew something bad was happening to them."

"It's not even that," she admitted squeezing the steering wheel, "it just the fact that he always told me about this kind of stuff like 'hey Storm here's the good news; here's the bad news.' I feel like I wasn't there enough for him lately and that's why he's didn't tell me this."

Sophie soon realized what Storm was talking about. She would have the same feeling whenever Minerva was upset and never told her what was wrong, she always feels like shit because she thought it was a sign that she felt like she was neglecting her in some kind of way. For Moo and Storm, she saw how Moo looked up to Storm as an older sister, the two were mostly together and Moo would be the one turning to Storm for life advice.

Now she saw that she was feeling that same kind of guilt that she felt all that time ago.

"Not even my threats stopped him from being with her," she scowled, "he would still go behind my back trying to make his next little plaything."

"Are you sure that's his real intention?" Sophie tried to play dumb, "they're just—"

"Stop with that shit!" she growled making Sophie wince, "he knows what he's doing, I what he's doing, and I'll be damned if he'll lay on hand on her," she looked over to Sophie's expression and looked away, "and apparently you know it too."

"Not the same way you do . . ."

Both Izzy and Storm raised a brow, "What?"

"He knows Vi and Vi knows him, if I'm being honest he's been the most sweetest that I ever saw him to another person. When I see him the other girls back at home the look on his face says he's ready to be left alone again, but with Violet, I think he feels that he found something, or someone that could really put a smile on his face, which something else he barely does."

Storm frowned feeling a little guilty, "I shouldn't have been such asshole to him that day, I never really thought of it that way because of all the other shit he did."

"I understand."

"It's probably why he left with her in the first place, I feel so fucking dumb," she looked down again, "it's just that we've been together for so long, I thought I him like a book."

Sophie shrugged, "sometimes ignorance is bliss, I know how much you love Moo and used to tell the stories where he would do kind things when he didn't have to."

She smirked, "Even though he's an idiot I'm glad his heart is in the right place."

"I guess I won't beat him to a pulp when we get back then."

She rolled her eyes, "Storm . . ."

She chuckled, "I know, I know, I'll talk to him this time when this whole shit is dealt with instead of ramming him like last time."

Sophie smiled and nodded, "That's good to hear."

Night was already about to settle in as soon as Storm and Coyote made it to the gates. Coyote had jumped out first making herself appear visible in Cash's sight.

"Hey, Cash! We're back!" she called out getting his attention, "are you up there?"

Minutes later Cash's head poked out from the watchtower, his expression shocked and nervousness.

"You guys are finally back?!" his tone matching his expression, "you've been out for almost a month!"

"I know!" Storm shouted back sarcastically, "hurry up and let is in do we can see what the deal is!"

He looked hesitant, "Oh, um . . . okay . . . but when you come in it's a bit of a mess in here . . ."

Coyote, Sophie, and Izzy looked confused while Storm just rolled her eyes ignoring the comment.

"Whatever, just open the damn gate already!" she growled impatiently with Cash holding up his hands in defeat.

He shrugged getting out the remote, "Alright, don't say I didn't warn you."

When two got in their carts the gates began to slowly open for them. As Coyote started to move along with Storm Coyote came to an abrupt stop when gates wide enough for them to get in.

Before Storm could ask what the problem was she too couldn't help but to stop and stare. They saw that there were some destroyed homes, little flames on some plant life that have yet to be put out, and people either helping others who are injured or either carrying away dead bodies. Storm felt her heart pounding hoping that Onnie, Moo, or Violet wasn't caught in the middle of whatever this chaos was.

As Storm slowly looked back in confusion and horror at Cash, Cash just shrugged again wincing at Storm and Coyote's expression.

"I said I warned you."

Storm had a million questions on what had happened in there town and Cash would have all her answers.

From him, apparently, Miguel and some of his men attacked the town out of impatience and rage. Cash thought he was most likely attacking the town because of what was happening to Moo. It made Storm's blood boil at hearing about Catalina and some of her soldiers just torturing the teen for her amusement and no one coming to help him. It didn't last long when Storm winced at the announcement of Catalina's death, she wasn't add upset as Coyote but mostly relieved that won't do any more damage to Moo or the town. But, then again, she knew her mother would be distraught at the news of her sister's death.

It was for the best . . .

But the news that churned her stomach most of all were Violet and Moo's abduction of the Broken Backbone. Now there were five people that they needed to save and Storm would be the first person to go on the mission in a heartbeat.

Now the only question was how?

Later that day, the four has met up in the City Hall in the room of meetings. The other people that were there beside them was Roxanna, Onnie, and a few soldiers around them. Storm couldn't help but give them all menousingly glares for one them might be part of the Moo's torturing.

Sophie noticed her look as she squeezed her shoulder in reassurance. It calmed her a bit knowing that Sophie was here by her side, she honestly didn't know if she didn't have someone like her. Izzy was busy comforting Coyote about most of the ordeal as Storm just rolled her eyes at her pity.

Why is she crying, she wondered in anger, didn't she hear a single word on what Cat did to Moo? And I don't why she's so sad about him anyway, her and Moo aren't even related.

Everyone at the table waited for Ashley to get the meeting started, it was him who wanted them all to come for he had something to show them that might be a great chance of getting everyone back from Miguel.

Storm didn't know why he couldn't tell what it was when they first see him, but if it involved saving her family and the others then she was all ears.

Everyone soon turned their attention to the double doors opening revealing Ashley holding Blossom and Smokey trotting along beside them. Storm sighed at the sight of Blossom just clinging onto Ashley tightly her eyes closed with a little frown on her face. Usually she was so hyper and always smiling, now she saw that she just mostly cried and slept now that her mother was gone.

Poor baby, Storm shook her head in disappointment, you're momma's coming back soon.

When Roxanna took Blossom into her arms Ashley went ahead and sat at the end of the table where the leaders like Marisol sat to begin the meetings. Storm noticed that his eyes were pink as if he's been crying too, but tried to hide by wearing a serious look on his face. She knew it was about losing Cat and Moo, but Cat might've been the main one. Even all the terrible and unforgivible things she's done to him when he was little, a mother was still a mother.

He cleared his throat, "Okay, guys, we have one cluster fuck of a situation," everyone nodded in agreement, "but while I was in Moo's apartment . . . I found something that might save them and the others."

"Well, spit it out!" Storm called out impatiently.

He dig inside his breast pocket pulling out a folded piece of paper then slid it to the middle of the table. Everyone looked at it in curiosity except for Storm who looked at him in frustration not having time for her cousin's games.

"We're saving them with a piece of paper?" Storm spat sarcastically, "you're so fucking—"

Ashley smirked holding up his hand to say something, "Look what's on it, my dear cousin."

She shook her head grabbing the paper then unfolded it to see what Ashley was talking about. She raised a brow at the sight of a well-drawn-out map of a place she didn't recognize.

"What is it?" she asked, her tone softening.

"It's the home of the Broken Backbone," Ashley confirmed making everyone looked shocked at how he even got a map to this hell pit.

"How'd you even get a map around Miguel's?" Roxanna asked in curiosity.

"Mom, and I had to go over there to work out a compromise with Miguel, of course that didn't work out. I never gotten a map to it, but I remember the place quite well of all the time we had in there."

"Where'd you even get it then?" Storm asked.

"It was on Moo's kitchen table," he frowned looking down, "I think him and Vi were planning to go there themselves since . . ."

Everyone stayed quiet at that.

"Anyways, Moo's been there too with Aunt Mary and, as you guys know, Moo has great artistic skills and sharp memory," everyone nodded in agreement, "so he must have spent his time exploring a bit for he is easily distracted as well."

Storm chuckled looking up thoughtfully, "He is, isn't he?"

"During the time I had it I was looking at ways on how can get them back," he pointed at the entrance, "you know Miguel has his soldiers at the entrance; obviously," he began pointing to the sides of the mansion that had blue pen dappled on it, "but . . . they're rarely on the sides and a fifty-fifty chance that they're not in the back," his finger moved behind the mansion where there was a lot of red pens dappled.

"What are the marks for?" Izzy pointed out the pen stains on the paper.

Ashley smiled, "Glad you asked, you see, this is where we come in," everyone looked at him in confusion, "well, my friends, these sides lead to the main hall, which appears to be empty most of the time from my time there, we can only hope at this point. When we come in we go to the basement where Miguel keeps his prisoners that are not being executed, let's hope that they're not there too," he guessed his finger to the door of the basement, "any volunteers to go there?"

Izzy immediately shot her hand up, "I'm willing to go, and if the door's locked, which they probably will, I think I'll be able to pin the lock to get that sucker open."

"Great, now, the deal with Moo is that we don't know which room he'll be in."

"How come?" Sophie asked hesitantly as Storm began to look worried again.

"Well, due to that event that shouldn't have even happened," him and Storm shot glares to soldiers that were beside them with some just shrugging and the others looking down in guilt, "they probably took him to the medical house."

"Medical house?" Storm repeated, "what and where the hell is that?"

Before Ashley could explain Coyote leaned in pointing at a little house on the left side of the mansion.

"It used to be the guest house before the outbreak," she said, "it's only limited to the injured who he finds useful once they're up on their feet again."

Ashley nodded, "She's right, it's most likely that Miguel has his best doctors doing their best to help him."

Hopefully . . .

"But, he finds that place kind of useless since hurt people can't fight," Coyote added sadly, "and it's barely guarded so anyone could just walk in their anytime."

"That's good news for us," Ashley chirped, "who's brave soul would like to go there?"

Almost immediately Storm shot her hand up before Coyote could raise hers.

Ashley raised a brow, "So . . . the both you then?"

Coyote nodded before Storm could protest, "I guess so."

"Alrighty then, now let's get to the big thing," he motioned to some of the soldiers as they proceeded to come closer.

"What is it?" one of them asked.

He tapped his finger at the red spots, "Do you guys think you can put on a good distraction for us?"

One the soldiers cocked his head, "What is it that you need us to do?"

"We want Miguel's men to be focused on something else to make it easier for us to get in," he grabbed a pen from his pocket drawing arrows, "all of our best men come from the back and can from the sides, there Miguel's men will divide with being a little scarce of them and they'll attack in two small groups rather than one big group."

Another soldier nodded, "That's smart, dividing the herd, I like it."

"You guys will go first so they'll take all of their attention off the entrance and most other guarded places so we can make our move," he looked around at everyone with a hard expression, "I'll signal our soldiers once we get them back and we do we get out of there fast as possible and then we'll be home free, sounds like a plan?"

"A good one to me," Izzy smiled.

"I'm with you," Coyote cheered.

"I'm all in," Sophie spoke then she turned to Storm furrowing her brows, "Storm, what do you think."

She looked at her and smirked, "You know I'm in too."

When night fell Storm spent most of her time packing some of her stuff for her and the group to leave in two days. Even though Ashley and the soldiers had to work on their strategy two days was too long for Storm to wait. She wanted them back tonight, Miguel could be also torturing Moo for what he's done to his spy that attacked her.

"Please, please be alright," she prayed quietly, "just hang on a little longer."

As she got done packing her bag a knock came at her door, she rolled her eyes putting on a t-shirt as she was first just in her black bra. When she went to the door her mood instantly changed when she saw Sophie wearing a light smile with Storm blushing a little.

"Sophia, what are you doing here?" she asked curiously.

The redhead shuffled her feet, "I just came to check on you, see if you're alright during this whole mess."

Storm sighed, "I'm fine . . . more or less."

Sophie frowned, "I know how you feel, Storm, I'm worried for them too. But, with this plan, we're guaranteed to bring them home soon."

"I guess," still questioning Ashley's plan in her head.

Sophie stepped closer touching Storm's bare arm rubbing it gently. Storm felt more blood rushing to her cheeks as Sophie's hand made its way to her cheek. She looked into her dark golden eyes as her emerald ones stared into hers with great surety and positiveness.

"I know we are," she breathed.

Storm couldn't help but muster a smile back as Sophie's optimism lifting some of her spirits. She turned to the window with only the bright moon visible in her sight then turned back to Sophie with an unsure and nervous look. She furrowed her red lashes in concern wondering what was wrong with the brunette now.

"What is?" she asked.

Storm chuckled weakly, "Hey, um . . . do you wanna spend the night here tonight?"

Sophie smiled again, "I would love to."

Her shoulders slumped in relief then gently grabbed her hand guiding her to her bedroom. Storm stretched her arms and yawned tiredly before crawling into her bed, she looked back at Sophie who nervously grabbed her arms hesitant to get in the bed with Storm.

"Hey, don't just stand there like a frozen corpse, there's room for the both of us," she giggled lightly.

"Are you sure? You don't-"

"I want to," she insisted softly.

A grin crept on Sophie's face as she began to crawl beside Storm, "Alright, I know there's no arguing with you."

The two laid closely beside each other as Sophie's arm began wrapping around Storm's small wais when Storm rested her head on her chest holding her tightly. Storm began to sink into Sophie's warm embrace as her muscles relaxed slowly closing her eyes knowing she won't have to worry about being alone tonight.

"Goodnight, Stormy," Sophie yawned holding Storm closer.

Storm didn't say anything else for she had already fallen asleep planting a little grin on her face. Sophie just giggled before she too fell fast asleep with Storm in her arms.

Storm was so happy she didn't have to spend another night alone, especially during a time like this.
