A couple of weeks have passed ever since Miguel was no more and Charlottesville was at peace. No enemies, no threats, and no more perils of chaos between the Broken Backbone, everything was the way it was meant to be

Marisol had learned the devastating truth about her sister and speak to no one for a few days until she soon realized that it was probably for the best. Coyote also found out about the death of her mother but didn't seem too upset at the fact as much as her brother Pablo, she kept telling herself that Sabrina needed to see the light one day and hoped she finally came to her senses after death.

Lynx and Nicóle were able to reconnect their relationship with Victoria, Cobra, and Moo with permission from Marisol. Marisol was still kind of on edge with the two but she was on the path of forgiving them. Lynx and Moo finally started that brotherly relationship the two never had when they were younger along with apologizing for all those terrible things he has done to him in the past. As much as the two wanted to come back to Charlottesville they felt they were needed back at the mansion with Dixon now leader and Lynx still general of their army. Victoria understood this and hoped that her other two children would come to visit her often.

Ashley became the new general of the Charlottesville army for his intelligent plan to getting everyone home and in honor of his mother. Marisol was very pleased to see her nephew stepping up to take on a big role like this, it proved to her that he was finally growing up; for the most part.

Storm and Sophie were officially a thing a week after the invasion. Storm never thought she would be interested in liking girls but when Sophie came into her life she made her the happiest she's ever been in a long time along with Sophie who truly cared about Storm. Izzy and Violet we're very supportive of the two and, surprisingly, Marisol as well. All that really mattered to her was that her daughter was happy.

As for Violet and Moo, their relationship was more than perfect. Violet ended up going back to school getting more of her and Blossom's belongings to move in with Moo. Of course, everyone was happy to see her and devastated when she left but everyone wanted her to be happy. Her and Moo ended doing things like any other couple like taking a walk on sidewalks, watching old movies in the living room, and laying beside each other enjoying each other's company.

It put a smile on Violet's face watching Moo handling Blossom so well treating her as if she was his own. She thought part of it was that one day he wanted kids of his own but right now he was happy with Blossom; both of them were.

Victoria was awfully aware of the two's relationship, however, she was all for the two and glad that Moo was finally in a real relationship. As for Violet's parents, they had no clue what was going on, Marisol had her suspicions on Moo though always hovering over them when she saw them together. She made it very clear she didn't want the two together. So Violet lied to her saying she was staying with Storm and Sophie making sure to be in their apartment when visited.

All and all, the two were happy together with nothing now standing in their way.

After the two weeks past Marisol decided it would be good idea to have a town party for coming to peaceblater that night and announce the life changing news to her people. Once everyone heard of this they were thrilled to have that celebration they never had when everyone made it back home and just itching to hear what she had to say.

Storm, Sophie, and Izzy going to be there while Moo wanted to stay home as he had plans for him and Violet that night.

"You sure you don't wanna come?" Sophie asked with disappointment in her tone, "I heard you were the main one she wanted there for the announcement."

He let up the recliner on his side of his couch laying back lazily, "Positive, this is the perfect night to do this."

She raised a brow, "Do what?"

He giggled sheepishly fidgeting his fingers, "I wanna . . . take her out on a date."

"You mean you guys haven't yet?!" she gasped shockingly, "It's been weeks!"

"I know, I know, but the reason being is that there'll be no distractions now with Mary having that party and you taking Storm out, it's perfect!"

"What about Vi? Doesn't she want to come?"

Moo smiled widely, "I told her we were going together but when she gets back I'm gonna surprise with the date."

"Aaahh, I see, " she nodded her elbow on the arm rest, "But what about Blossom?"

"She's with Mary for a few days, " he frowned sadly at that missing her already, "Kinda hurts but at least it'll be just the two of us tonight, just keep Storm out for a while, all night if you have to."

Sophie became impressed with Moo having this all planned out, she thought was real sweet of Moo that he was surprising her with a date.

But what got her was why did he want Storm out for that long? She already knew they were together.

Unless. . .

"Moo, you two aren't gonna do what I think you're gonna do?" she asked hesitantly getting a bit ill to her stomach.

It didn't make it any better when he just shrugged, "Honestly, I dunno, I don't wanna pressure her or anything like that."

"I mean, if it does come down to that, which I hope not, don't be hard on her, I don't know how she feels about sleeping with guys. And I don't know if I'd be a good girlfriend if didn't tell Storm about it."

"You got nothing to worry about, I doubt we'll go that far anyway."

"I hope not."

As they sat the corners of Moo's mouth rose up again getting up from the couch, "Wanna see the dress I got her?"

Sophie gawked at that, "You got her dress?"

He nodded enthusiastically running to room to get it. After the sounds of him rummaging through his closet he ran back out holding up one of prettiest summer dresses Sophie seen. It was a long shoulder less dress cover with royal purple and black stripes with little black bow on the side of the waist.

"It's so beautiful!" she beamed getting up and touching the dress, "Where'd you get it?"

"This dude that Raven's dating, I told her about the date and she had him sew up a dress for me."

Sophie couldn't help but stare in awe still touching the dress, "It looks like it fits her perfectly, I think she'll love it."

"I hope so, she doesn't even like dresses, but I think she'll look beautiful in it."

"I bet she'll love this one though."

At Marisol's place Violet and Storm we're helping their mother cook for some of the people that were coming over and part of the feast for the celebration. They spent all day with the food with it being the only smell that filled up the house. Sapphire helped with the desserts like cakes, pies, and baked cookies she homemade herself.

Marisol was really glad to finally have all three of the girls with her, especially Violet and her new granddaughter. She was for sure convinced that she was going back to the school but, here she was, back in Charlottesville help cooking with her sisters.

All Marisol could wonder was what made her want to come and stay.

"Mom, " Sapphire's voice interrupted her thoughts, "I think the desserts are done, can go play with Blossom now?"

Marisol nodded, "Sure but just go check in with your sister first."

She squealed in delight with her mother watching her excitedly run to Violet for her approval. Marisol thought it was kind that Violet let her have Blossom for the weekend, it was Violet's idea that she needed to get to know the people she would probably spend the most time with or just needed to be babysat. Violet was a bit nervous that Blossom would end being upset like when she came to town with Ruby watching her back at the school.

All could do was wait and see.

She turned to Violet and Storm who walked beside her their faces drenched in sweat breathing heavily from all the heat in the kitchen.

"Alright, mom, the roast's in the oven, " Storm huffed wiping the beads of sweat off her forehead, "Anything else you want us to do?"

She quickly shook her head, "Not at all, I'll let you two go get ready for tonight, you honestly didn't have to do all of this."

"You know we don't mind, I'm used to hard work anyway, " Violet reassured her kindly.

Marisol sighed then smiled, "Well I guess I'll let you girls go, " she turned to Violet, "You if Moo's coming? I really need him to be here for this."

"He should be, but he might be a little late, " she scratched her neck nervously, "You know how he is with crowds and . . . people."

"Right, " she acknowledged, "If he doesn't come that time I'll tell it again personally to him, " she then hugged her sweaty daughters kissing them both on the cheek, "I'll see two tonight, make sure to come up to the after-party later."

Violet chuckled following behind Storm, "We'll see you later, mom."

Later in the evening Sophie had gotten dressed for the party, she just wore some ripped blue jeans and a scarlet shoulderless flare tank top. She wasn't a kind of dress person, neither was her sister.

She had left Moo getting ready for his date and preparing their meal for tonight. Sophie wondered what it could possibly be, he said it'll the best thing she had had in a long time so it had to be good or something she loved.

Sophie just hoped that everything went well with the two going on that date they never had.

As she brushed her long red hair in the mirror she heard her doorknob jiggle until the door opened from the living room. She smiled when she heard Storm's voice call for her.

"Sophe, we're back!"

"I'm in here!" Sophie called out from her bedroom.

She then saw Storm come in first, her face and dark hair damped in sweat. She choked at Sophie's outfit with Sophie raised a brow wondering what the big deal was.

"Hell no, you are not wearing that, " she complained making Sophie roll her eyes.

"It was the only good thing I had! Besides, I thought you of all people would love it, " she giggled flirtatiously holding her hands.

Storm just groaned and smirked, "I guess I do, just if I rip someone's eyes out you know why."

"Yes, I'll know why, " she pecked Storm's lips making her blush brightly.

She soon saw Violet walk in as she too saw Sophie's shirt with wide eyes.

"Whoa, Sophe, performing at a bachelor's party?" she joked make Sophie roll her eyes at her comment.

"She better not, " Storm grumbled.

"Whatever, " she turned Storm pushing her to the shower, "You go take a hot shower and get dressed, " she then turned her attention to Violet, "As for you, Moo really needs you for something before the party."

She cocked her head, "'Needs me?' For what? Did something happen?"

Sophie tried hard not to blurt out the surprise, "Uh, he just needed you, didn't say why but I think it's really important."

"Oh, um, okay?" Violet still had no clue what she was talking about, she still kept thinking what was so important.

She felt Sophie nudge her to the door making Violet more puzzled about what this was about.

"Hurry! You don't wanna keep him waiting," informed excitedly.

Violet just shrugged walking out in just loads of confusion.

After Moo got of the shower he had put on an outfit that he thought would be good to wear something a bit decent considering this was his first date. He wore a leather black fur-lined jacket over a royal purple t-shirt along with some black jeans and matching boots. He then put on this strong cologne Lynx gave him that he couldn't help but gag at with one spray, but thought maybe Violet would like it.

Doubt it.

He tied up his long dreads in a ponytail making him look more decent. The last thing he put on was a silver nose ring, left eyebrow piercing, his chain choker along with his wolf necklace, and a matching silver earring.

He looked in the mirror over his dresser staring at the black and white image pursing his lips. As he stared he yelped the flashed image of Miguel's bite marked, bullet holed body giving him a horrifying smile while foaming at the mouth. He blinked catching his breath seeing his own figure again then sighed. The the reveal, the forced rape, and the murder all still haunted him, he barely could sleep at seeing himself kill Miguel over and over again coming back to haunt him, let alone his own father.

He didn't know how Violet could put up with him after all what's happened. Moo truly believed that she deserved better but she was happy to be with him. He was grateful to have someone like her who actually cared for him, acknowledged him; loved him like he loved her.

And this date would show her how much he appreciated her.

He jumped when Smokey started barking when he heard the door knocked and his stomach immediately began twisting. He didn't know that he'd be this nervous about a date, he honestly thought he would feel confident about this but proved himself wrong.

"Dios mío, joder, shit, shit, shit!" he cried to him quickly looking in the mirror again making sure he looked at least fine.

He ran to the door with Smokey jumping out the way still barking at the door.

"Hush, Smokey!" he growled making the wolf be quiet.

Moo took a deep breath, brushing off his jacket, then put on a bright smile opening the door.

To his relieve and happiness it Violet who was sweaty and looked a bit tired. She smiled back Moo making his heart skip then gazed at his outfit from top to bottom.

"Hey, Moo, " she got her toes pecking him on the lips, "You look and smell nice."

Huh, she actually likes it.

He chuckled nervously stepping aside to let her in, "Thanks, how did everything go at your mom's?"

"Good, " she turned her attention to smell in the kitchen, "Looks like you've been busy too."

"Yeah, I have."

He then guided her to the couch both them settling down. Violet didn't know what was going on, she didn't expect him to get dressed so early, at least thought he would at least wait a bit later for the crowd to die down.

"So. . . I was thinking."

She looked concerned, "About what?"

He shook his leg nervously fidgeting his hands, "Well, if we could go on a . . . date?"

To his surprise, her smile widened her eyes beaming up at him, "I hoping one day you'll ask me."

He sighed in relief, "Okay that's great."

"When do want to do it?"

He gulped his eyes looking every which way, "Um . . . tonight . . .?"

She blinked at this, "Oh, uh, tonight?"

Moo just nodded.

"What about the party? Mom really wants us to be there."

Moo was afraid of this, he knew Violet probably wanted to go the party. He had planned this night to be perfect, he even went out his way to make her favorite food.

But he sighed sadly in defeat getting up and accepting the fate.

"We'll go," he murmured, "Just go ahead and—"

"Moo, no!" she cried not wanting him to get the wrong idea, "I never said we couldn't go on our date tonight."

He turned to her his expression brightening again, "What are you saying?"

She got up grabbing his hands squeezing them gently, "We don't have to go to that party," she giggled, "You and I both know how we are around people."

He chuckled knowing it was true.

"Look I'll get in the shower, get ready, and we can have our date right here at home, what do you say?"

He nodded repeatedly laughing childishly, "Yes, yes! That's perfect!"

She rolled her eyes smiling widely at him, "You're such an idiot," she then kissed him cheek, "And I love you for it."

As she went into to his room where his bathroom was he almost forgot one more thing before she hopped in the shower.

"Vi, make sure to wear the dress I got you!"

She turned him her eyes widening and smile instantly falling.

"You got me a what?"

For over more than thirty minutes Moo waited tiredly in the kitchen. He had already set his and Violet's plates down along with homemade lemonade in wine glasses then set a candle between them with the lights turned off; he didn't know if it looked good or not he just saw it in a movie. He wondered what was the hold up since he assumed that it didn't take long for her to put on a dress, he worried that ended not liking the dress as she thought whether or not she had to put it on finding something else.

Fuck, I wasn't thinking about that.

He started to worry more when he heard Violet curse to herself repeatedly. He didn't know what was going with her but didn't want to leave her there struggling with something.

When he went to get up he paused when saw her slowly walked through the doorway grinning at him sheepishly. Moo just drooled over her in the dress, it had fitted her perfectly revealing her figure he saw back at the lake. It made her outfit better when she put her jean vest on along with the dress, he thought the style matched her more than anything.

"How does it look?" she asked while he still just started in awe.

"Precioso. . . " he breathed not realizing what he was saying.

She looked at him in confusion, "What'd you say?"

He blinked snapping back to reality, "Oh! Um, it l-looks great."

She shrugged sitting at the table across from him, "What'd you make? Smells nice."

"Move the napkin and see," he told her chuckling softly, "I promise you'll love it."

Still puzzled she went ahead taking the napkin off then gasped unbelievably at the dinner he had cooked.

After all these years she thought she would never see these again and now, after more than a decade, it was presented to her as the savory entrée for her date.

"Moo, you didn't," her eyes glued to the plate still can't believe what she was seeing.

"I did," he chimed uncovering his plate, "I remembered that these were your favorite when we were younger.

She picked up the piece of the food as if it was a sacred diamond and started to speak.

"Chicken fucking nuggets," she scooped up five of them shoving them in her mouth sighing in satisfaction, "And they're so fucking good."

"I knew you'd love it."

She put a few more in her mouth her smile filled with nuggets, "You're making these every night for now on, you god."

"Greeeaat," he grinned unsuringly knowing that nuggets wasn't the thing on his menu, he just made them for the date.

I'm gonna need a lot of chicken.

As she continued eating Moo cleared his throat, "So. . . I'm glad you're enjoying the dinner so far."

She nodded still eating.

He just sat there quietly looking at the dark evening sky, "I don't know how this works," he admitted catching Violet's attention, "I know you talk but I dunno what about."

"Well," Violet licked her fingers looking back up at him, "It can be anything that's on your mind, Ya know? Like something we can really chat about," she furrowed her brows realizing what she just said, "Even though we aren't . . . chatty people."

He honestly did want to talk about some things but he didn't think that some of it would sit well with Violet. He wanted to get the hard stuff out of the way, stuff he had never told others besides Storm.

He wanted to tell her everything.

Before he spoke she surprisingly did first, "I mean we could talk a bit about our time away from each other, I think we never got the chance to some of it off our chest."

"Yes!" he exclaimed happily making her flinch, "Oh, uh, I mean yeah we can do that."

"Okay, I'll go ahead and start since you know most of it," she took a sip of her lemonade clearing her throat, "During my time at the school I first hated everyone and everything there, I just felt so alone being without you and Raven."

Moo frowned, "You weren't the only one."

"It was 'till then I met Sophie and. . . Minnie," she saw Moo wince at the name already knowing who she was to Violet, "Sophie and her brother I was good friends with, and Minnie and I. . . we were close, very close.

"We were together for about three years until they were taken," she squeezed her eyes shut remembering that day, "I can never forget when they told me they were eaten by walkers.

"It felt like as if I completely shut down for a whole year until I met Clem."

Moo raised a brow wondering what went on with those two.

"The group brought her back from a car crash, I first thought she was just a nuisance that just brought walkers, but, over time, she's a really great person that was actually brave enough to save us from that boat," Violet sighed looking down guiltily, "And my ungrateful ass attacked her for it because of my own fears and I went back to Minnie even though her mind was already fucked up.

"She had this idea of trying to stop the bomb so no one else would get hurt and I went along with it; what a dumb shit I was. By the time we got to the boiler room the bomb almost about to go off and the next thing you know Minnie left me. Not even seconds later the bomb exploded," she winced remembering both the physical and mental pain, "I can feel it all happen so fast, it was like everything flashed before my eyes."

"That must've been hard," he mewed never realizing she been through quite a bit.

"As you know, this was how I lost my eye and part of my vision," she shrugged eating another nugget, "So yeah, that's pretty much most of it, after that, people had to help get around and everything and as more people came the more people to bother me," Violet rolled her eyes, "It didn't stop my constant loneliness until. . . Blossom."

This was it, the mystery he's been longing to hear. At the same time, he didn't want to pressure her into something she might not be comfortable talking with, it was her business after all.

"I hate to let you continue if you don't want to," he reassured her softly, "Don't tell things that you I wanna hear, and you're not okay about it, I realized that now."

She smiled at him weakly, "It's fine, really, you needed to know eventually."

"Vi. . ."

"It's okay Moo, I promise."

He huffed in defeat, "Fine, but just stop anytime you want to."

She took a sip of juice then a deep breath, "Alright then, so Clem met with this group that. . . he was the leader of. They agreed to help us with trade a week later and we had no worries since then. Their leader came a few times to check on us but not much until he saw me; I didn't get out much so I could see why.

"From there on he visited a lot more often and offered Clem that he could help from time to time," she shook her head and sighed, "He just so kind back then, so kind that everyone couldn't see behind his dark side.

"One night, we were on the watch tower and we just vented to each other about how hard it was to keep a group together, going through tough times, our loneliness, and. . . how he wanted someone to be with and have a family with. I didn't really think much of it until we um. . . kissed. . ."

"You two were in love," Moo gasped making Violet's eyes round at the comment.

"It wasn't like that!" she started to explain, "Just two broken people with things in common.

"Anyway, I instantly regretted it while he thought it was real. I told him I didn't have feelings for him, he wasn't having it, and that's when I got outta there, but that wasn't the end.

"One day, me and Clem got into this stupid argument I barely could remember what was about, ran into the woods without anyone, and even after ten minutes I see him. He told me just wanted to talk about the other night and I went along for some stupid reason.

"When got to the shack I remember he had hit my head with something, and was the last thing I remember until I woke hours later with my pants pulled down."

Moo saw the pain in her watery eyes as she talked about the assualt, he didn't know she would go into it as much as he expected. Either way, the situation broke his heart and made blood boil at the fact Damien took advantage of a blind girl, let alone the girl that he loved.

"I should've done worse to that son of a bitch," he growled lowly clenching his fists.

"Well after that incident, two weeks later I found I was pregnant and that's when it hit me that he had his way with me."

He frowned, "I'm so sorry I even pushed you at that mansion, I can tell it's still hurting you."

"It does," she then smiled softly looking back up at Moo, "Hey, at least I have Blossom."

"Was a blessing, not a curse," he grinned back touching her hand.

Violet nervously fiddled with some of her nuggets, "Are you okay talking about it?"

He raised a brow, "About. . .?"

"Ya know, your past," she noticed he shifted in his seat uncomfortably, "Only if you want to by the way."

He did want to tell her but it wasn't going to be not for not just her but him too. As much as he wanted to forget his past it was still ingrained in his mind making him who he was today.

He sighed heavily through his nose getting up from the table, "I wanna go outside and talk."

She raised a brow, "Why?"

"I think may need a smoke for this," he blew out the candle walking out the kitchen while Violet followed him unquestionably.

This may be one of the hardest things he had to do but she told him her past, it was time to tell her his.
