Rocky Goes Home

Part 2

Disclaimer: Thought it was finally time to update this particular idea!

Summary: Rocky tries to get out of explaining things.

After several minutes of silence as Rocky tried desperately to think of something to say that would deter his mom and brothers, his mom would be the one to speak up first. "Well? We're waiting, young man."

His brothers smirked and snickered at his misfortune until a light bulb went off in the Ranger's head. "Uhh… I'm not allowed to talk about that." Rocky then winced when he realized the entirety of the error he just committed.

As he had practically confirmed things for his family! His mother's eyebrows raised at his words. "You aren't? And why is that?" So help her if he had been forced into being a Power Ranger of all things!

Nervously, Rocky scratched his head and wished like Hell something would happen to get him out of this perdicament! "Well… Its, its one of the three rules of being a Ranger, mom."

"The three rules of being a Ranger? That sounds lame!" Protested Tum Tum.

"Not really, Tum Tum, they're around to protect us."

"And just what are these three rules?" Wondered Colt.

Sighing to himself while feeling like he was digging himself into a deeper hole, Rocky went on to explain as nothing was gonna get him out of this and he hated that. "Never use your powers for personal gain, never escalate a fight unless the enemy forces you too, and never reveal our identities. I uhh, I'm gonna have to talk to someone before I go any further and please, I need you to accept that as this affects a lot more than just me."

Off to the side, he could hear Colt and Tum Tum debating those rules and figuring that must be why none of the Rangers had ever just gone and attacked the Moon Palace just to finally be done with things while their mother continued to look his way, her gaze never relenting! "Fine, but make it quick, Rocky. Your father and grandfather also want to have a talk with you about all this too." She told him seconds later and making him groan.

"Okay, I need you guys to be quiet while I have this conversation, alright?" Requested the Ranger dead seriously and thankfully, his request would be granted.

Though confusion would abound when he brought up his wrist close to his mouth and tapped on a strange looking watch that was on his wrist. "Zordon, this is Rocky."

"Hello, Rocky, is everything well?" Came the voice and shocking the trio present!

"Uhh, not exactly. You see, my family, and I'm gonna take a guess that a few others as well, figured out that I'm a Ranger thanks to recognizing my fighting style. And because of that, my family wants to know everything."

"This is troubling, Rocky, but the Power does move in ways even I do not always understand at times. Can they be trusted?"

Not able to get a word in, Jessica beat him to the punch. "Yes, yes we can be trusted! And who the Hell are you!?"

"I am Zordon of Eltar, mentor of the Power Rangers. Be warned, Mrs. Douglas, knowing this information can be dangerous should the knowledge you and yours are aware become available to others who would seek to do harm or use you for their own ends."

"We've handled threats before and we'll handle any that may come in the future." Mrs. Douglas told the voice resolutely while feeling slightly awkward about doing so with Rocky's wrist thing!

Silence reined for a short time before Zordon's voice spoke again. "Very well, but your son can not reveal the identities of the others. Not for just your own protection but theirs as well."

Rocky was shocked by that as his mom nodded in agreement. "That's perfectly fine and understandable." Jessica told the voice while having a sinking feeling in her gut that the other Rangers were Teenagers like her son.

"May the Power protect you and good luck to you, Rocky." And with that, the connection was cut and all three Douglas family members turned their full attention to Rocky.

Who grimaced. "So, who was that exactly? And what exactly is an 'Eltar'?" Wondered his mother.

"Well, like he said, he's Zordon and Eltar is the planet he's from. And right now he's a big head in a tube that keeps him in place." Explained the Red/Blue Ranger somewhat poorly.

That got him looks and he sighed tiredly. "Can… Can we please do this later? That drive took it out of me thanks to my back injury and I'd rather just wait til dad and Grandpa are here so I can explain everything at once."

Momma Douglas narrowed her eyes but to his relief, she'd agree to it. If only because of wanting his dad and her own around for the talk! Colt and Tum Tum groaned as they wanted to hear more! "I'm gonna get some sleep then."

"So is that really Ranger related then?" Asked Tum Tum.

"No, little brother, my injury's from a training session for a tournament gone wrong."

"Oh."

"And remember, not a word of this to anyone." He told his brothers dead seriously and with that, Rocky made his way to his and his brothers' room while his mom called up his dad and Grandpa to let them know what was going on.

Author's Notes: Not originally how I intended for things to go but I think this works.
