Digimon Infinity: Soul Combination

Chapter 3

Getting schooled.

Yesterday, a fight broke out within the city streets. A boy and girl of highschool age fought with monsters by their side to defeat an ogre. But to the masses, a zoo animal escaped, causing an uproar. I had been captured by the police. Such was the narrative told by the news media.

"Ugh…was that…No, not a dream. I am not at home, this bed feels too clean.", the young man, Taishimu, laid inside what looked like a hospital room.
"I am in a hospital? The frick happened?!", he said quite loudly.
he heard a condescending irritated voice of a woman right next to him saying, "Man, be quiet. Screaming so early in the morning is a pain to my ears, asshat."
He looks to his right and sees what looks like a nurse, but upon looking closer, her hair was bushy and untidy, and her face looked so long it would make one think it was about to fall off.

"What do you even think happened, stupid, you got hurt badly for a reason.", The nurse told him.
"Who does this lady think she is? Is she even serious? I was expecting a nurse to be more…Well…I guess that is what happens when you read too much manga, huh?", Taimu thought to himself before getting up and continuing to think, "She probably doesn't know about the Digimon. I better just explain I got caught up in something."

"Listen, lady, I had to help someone and had no choice but to take a risk. I can't help getting hurt from it!", I told her.
"I know, you fought a weak Adult level Digimon, and foolishly used too much energy and risky tactics, right? Man, you really are an idiot.", after saying all of that, the nurse dropped her head on her hands and sighed.

Taimu had to hold back looking angry and wasn't even able to hide it that while fuming inside his heart, "This woman is pissing me off!"
"Ah, you're awake.", a sweet voice flew into room from an opened door to Taimu's left.
Taimu immediately turned around seeing another nurse walk into the room saying, "I am glad to see you awake. It took a while, so I was getting worried. But I suppose you just exhausted too much energy, didn't you?", she finished her line with a smile.

Taimu almost got red in the face as he saw the opposite of the nurse before, one who matches a nurse from his fantasies more, a sweet caring voice and way of speaking, a super sparkly clean outfit that also shows off her…assets. Her nurse cap was slightly different, lined with gold and had a symbol of a golden cross unlike that of the other nurse. Her tied down hair was a blazing violet, and her eyes a calm purple.
Taimu had to close his eyes and shake his head to regain his composure.

After opening his eyes, he asked, "So you know about Digimon too, right? Is this not a normal hospital?"
"Oh my, you realized that already?", still looking happy, the nurse answered me.
The other rude nurse said, "Ho? I thought your brain would be too small to even get that."
Taimu almost wanted to look back and glare at her, but the other nurse calmly told her, "Now, now, saying that is quite rude. May I ask you to keep it to yourself, please?"
Taimu looked back at the nurse's face, she looked awkward, she also paused a bit before she spoke, and thus, he realized, "She thinks I am dumb too!"

The nurse explained, "This is a hospital for Digimon related events. Of course, there are at least twelve hospitals located, six in each lane leading up to Digital Soul Border Security Headquarters."
"You man I am dab smack in the middle of enemy territory?! I need to book it the moment I get a chance.", Taimu thought.
The nurse was still in the middle of explaining, "You see, not only do we try to keep the Digimon in the real world a secret, but healing Digibility Users is the more important factor."

Taimu began listening more intently as she told him, "Those that have inherited a Digimon have tougher bodies. In return, they also can heal most wounds by themselves over time. Because of how different their bodies become; most normal medicine won't work well on them. Of course, since you only recently got your Digimon, you will notice that more later in life. To make matters worse, when the spirit of your Digimon is damage, you know you take that damage too, right? It can only be mended by your own mind over time, or be healed by the special move of another Digimon."

Taimu took a second to absorb it all. He looked at her and asked, sounding slightly grateful, "So, you healed me, right? With a Digimon?"
She gave him a giggle before replying with, "That's right. With my Digimon, Cutemon."
She summoned a pink bipedal bunny that wore white headphones with purple clovers on the ears, and a scarf that was a darker shade of pink.

Name: Cutemon
Level: Child/Rookie
Type: Fairy
Attribute: Vaccine
Element: Light
Species: Holy
Field: Virus Busters
Min Weight: Unknown.

Taimu, for some reason, felt relieved seeing this nice nurse have a Digimon that fits her.
"But it isn't just this little one that healed you, she did half of the work. The nurse next to you gave you the bandages and band aids with her Digimon.", the nurse told him.
Taimu almost forgot the rudeness of the other nurse as he was about to turn his head and give her a enthusiastic thanks.
"Show him who you are, Aidmon.", the other nurse said as she summoned a Digimon above her that was the stuff of nightmares. It was a figure in bandages towering over behind the nurse, giving off a grim red light, yet, her eyes were green crosses, her hair was blue-ish, she almost looked human who got hit by 50 car accidents.

She had a nurse cap on with the symbol of a heart and a heartrate drawn over it. She wore a torn and bandaged up outfit, you can see some of her grey skin. She wore a white surgical mask that appeared to have bloodstains on them.

Name: Aidmon.
Level: Adult/Champion.
Type: Undead
Attribute: Vaccine.
Element: None
Species: Darkness
Field: Virus Busters, Nightmare Soldiers.
Min weight: 30KG

Taimu was blue in the face, all he saw was an undead murder nurse behind a grumpy rude woman who looks like she could stare death in the eye without flinching.
"The inside of her soul is rotten too!", Taimu thought.
"Oi! You are thinking something bad about me, aren't you!", The rude nurse shouted angrily.
Taimu shot the blanket off himself before jumping out of his bed.
"I am not staying here any longer!", he shouted before running off.
"Wait, don't be scar-…ed…", the nurse tried to stop him, but he ran. The rude nurse ran right after him angrily.

The rude nurse appeared to not be entirely as fit, as she was left behind, seeing the bandages she had used to heal Taimu on the ground.
"He took them off already? He is a cocky brat, isn't he?", She thought whilst observing the bandages.
The hospital seemed mostly empty. It would appear its usage was on the low side.
Just as he saw the gate to outside, he stopped as he heard the clicking of a gun.
A weapon was pointed on his head whilst a strong womanly voice questioned, "And where does the patient think he's going?"

Taimu stood still and looked to his side, it was another nurse, or so he thought. Her outfit was different. The cap was the same as that of the rude nurse, but her nurse outfit was like an overall fitted over a black dress. Her long black hair reached even beyond her waist, many strands of her hair curled around her body. Her eyes were black, it was like staring at the void. She held a submachine gun to Taimu's head.

"Oi, oi, how did she even get a gun like this. What sort of crazy place am I at? I thought I could make the other two nurses think I fled in fear and escape the Soul Hunters…But there are people like this in the hospital?", Taimu thought.
"Well? Do I need to inform you? You are our patient, you only leave if we discharge you. Get back and let yourself get healed, because, if you really want to die that quickly, I can speed up the process…"

"She's threatening me with a gun to my head. Someone strong wouldn't need to be so sneaky, right? She has quite the firearm, too, perhaps she isn't a Digibility user?", Taimu's thought process led him to bring forth Agumon out of thin air, right above the gun.
"If that is the case, she can't see Agumon and I can slap the gun out of her hand…"
The nurse's eyes moved to the side. She suddenly turned to shoot at Agumon. Taimu had barely the time to bring him back in his body.
Scared, he looked at the purple energy bullets penetrating concrete.

"Did you think some nurse would have a submachine gun?", she said that whilst looking at him as if Taimu were a caveman.
"Well, no, but a lot of stuff makes no sense to me at the moment.", Taimu thought.
"This gun is materialized, of course.", she said, sounding rather proud as she showed the side of the gun, it was shaped like a holy cross.
"That gun is from a Digimon?!", it didn't look like it was from a Digimon, but after thinking about it, he could believe it. Digimon do carry weapons too, after all.

"Now.", the dark nurse pointed the gun at him and asked, "Could you quietly return to your bed? I would rather not want to give Delinda more work. She will make me feel like a moody teenager too."
"Sorry. But I have to leave.", Taimu told her strongly. He was determined to leave.
"I see, that's a shame…But I also kind of enjoy shooting people. So." she said as she was about to pull the trigger. Just a second before, a green aroma passed her, and then, her arm got numb.
"What is this? I can't move…This aroma.", she mumbled.

Miffed, she looked back, in a room where two sat at a round table. Quickly she shouted, "Hey? Why are you interfering?"
On the table, two other ladies sat, a tea set was on the table.
One of them took one sip before returning the cup to the table, she then, turned her eyes to the black nurse and said, "Why don't you just let the boy go, I wonder?"

"Huh?! He is our patient, isn't he?! He should just do as he's told, just as we do our jobs to heal him?!", The dark nurse shouted back.
The nurse that she was shouting at had a calm, but scary vibe to her. As if she wants you to come closer, and then, you shall never escape. She wore a similar outfits, but wore a beautiful expansive green dress that looked like it had other glowing colors mixed in. Her eyes were green, which wasn't that weird, but Taimu had never seen someone with such pretty light green hair before.

"We have no orders to heal him, neither does he belong to our agency, we have no more obligation to keep him healthy after treating him, do we? If he decides to get out risking not being at full health, well, that is his freedom, is it not?", the nurse in green replied calmly before drinking more tea.
"You're just excusing your laziness, aren't you?! And how many times do I have to tell you not to carry and put down your tea set whenever and wherever you like?! Where do you even get that from?!", the black nurse shouted with rage.

"You can think of me as you will. I think we are all naturally inclined to do what matches our lives. My laziness…And that boy's risky courage. We need only let nature take its course, which for him is to go outside, for you to stop him, and for me to hold you back. You feel angry, and that is okay, but not very useful. As long as Vert's aroma surrounds you, you can't move anyway.", the green nurse told her.

The black nurse was trembling, but then she had a vicious smile on her face.
"You are forgetting one thing. I can't move, but my Digimon is just a spirit. Come forth! Barrage them with a hell of bullets, Noir!", she said before summoning her Digimon. Taimon couldn't see it that well, the dark nurse blocked his vision, he could only see a Digimon wearing a black outfit.
"Mickey Bullet!", the dark nurse shouted as this, "Noir", shot a spread of bullets at the two other nurses.

A nurse in what looked like a light blue yukata under a nurse overall opened her red piercing eyes as she brushed her dark blue hair over the side. She calmly spoke, "Such unsavory behavior. You should learn to be a bit more elegant in your approach."
As the bullets came closer, the blue nurse calmly called out, "Dance, Ciel.", a silhouette with glowing eyes appeared behind her, or at least, so it looked like to Taimu.

It was too fast for him to see. but this, "Ciel", swiped all the bullets away with a katana.
"Tch. You want a piece of me too?!", the dark nurse asked.
"I rather find both of you distasteful. One who fights should not stoop to low tactics like threats or poisons, and especially, trickery and surprise attacks. If you have a problem with the boy, you should just challenge him to a duel, is that not so?", the blue nurse responded.

"We can have this little squabble now. Move boy, this is your chance, am I mistaken?", the green nurse spoke to Taimu with an eerie smile.
Taimu nodded before turning tail, ignoring the dark nurse calling out to him as he left the building.
He was out on an open street, walking back to the residential area, not even looking at his surroundings as he was deep in thought, "Man. What kind of crazy hospital was that? And there are twelve of them? Jeez…What day is it today. "

He looked at his phone, noticing he was only asleep for a night.
His eyes suddenly opened widely, as he realized…
"I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO SCHOOL TODAY!", he screamed.
"No, scratch that, I was supposed to go yesterday! ARGH! I am in enough trouble as it is. And I am about to be late too!", He talked to himself in a panic. At high speed, he ran as fast as possible.

He thought to take a shortcut to his school by going through an alleyway. You would think he'd not, considering there being some crazy things hiding in those a lot of times, but it would seem Taimu never learns. He saw some guy on the floor in front of a delinquent wearing a cap backwards, he also had a sleeveless jacket on. You could see tattoo's spread over his arms.
"Ya thought ya could escape me after swindling our gang, huh?! I've had it with scum like ya'll. Better start payin' me for the damages, or else ya'll be payin' for yer medical bills.", he said.

"Yo, I get that this guy probably did something to deserve this situation, but do you really have to go this far? Either way, you two are in the way, can I get through?", Taimu spoke out, getting the attention of the two men, the one on the who looked a bit older, turned his head at him showing a scared face. The younger, but ugly looking man standing in front glared viciously at Taimu.

"Ya better scram. It seems I've got a witness to clean.", The delinquent said quietely to the guy on the street. The man on the street ran away in fear.
With confidence, the delinquent turned to Taimu. With no warning given, he jumped at Taimu with a baseball bat appearing in his hand, seemingly out of nowhere.
Taimu stepped back whilst thinking, "He materialized that? That means…"
Taimu's backwards leap was only enough to give him a second more time, it was enough, he was able to call out, "Agumon!", summoning the upper half of his digimon to shatter the baseball bat with its sharp claws.

Upon seeing the baseball bat shatter, the supposed gang member jumped back.
His face got more strained. An eerie aura enveloped the man as he cautiously observed Taimu. Taimu on the other hand was simply thinking, "He is a Digimon user too…Which means it is just fine to fight with Agumon."

"Let's bring it one stop further…", Taimu whispered before shouting as loud as possible.
"Geogreymon!", he screamed as he focused his mind as hard as possible, making Agumon's head and part of his torso appear before having him grow into the big dinosaur that is Geogreymon. With that done, he shouted, "Mega Flame!", shooting a fireball bigger than the man himself.

The man had an intense look on his face just before the flames engulfed him and exploded. Taimu could barely make out the silhouette of a four-legged beast through the smoke, just before it vanished. The smoke dissipated, showing the man was unharmed.
Taimu was taken aback, but quickly figured it out, "His Digimon goes up to Adult too!"

The man launched himself over to Taimu, ready to punch him with a boxing bracelet. Taimu moved to the side, letting the fist past him, he himself threw a backwards fist attempting to knock the man in the stomach, but the man stopped it with his other arm. With his left fist occupied in pushing forward, Taimu clutched his free right fist. It was a misdirection however, he summoned, "Agumon!", with a complete body in an attempt to claw at the man

"Appear and break my enemies, Thugmon.", a digimon wielding a baseball bat appeared out of thins air and clashed with Agumon, the collision made it feel like they were equal in strength.
Taimu gritted his teeth, feeling like he can't do much more, he raised his free fist and shouted, "Geogreymon!", Agumon grew out a big orange tail smashing the man away from Taimu and knocking the Digimon into the air.

Taimu let the spirit of Geogreymon out to get the man, the man let his Thugmon jump in front of Geogreymon whilst saying, "Nail bat!" Spikes came out of the baseball bat.
Whilst Geogreymon crashed into Thugmon, the man ran over to Taimu.
"He summoned his digimon in full?!", Taimu got that question in his head after seeing that the man was not affected by the damage taken by his Digimon. Unlike Taimu who is bleeding slightly from some small holes in his torso.

The man attempted another punch, which was once again eluded by Taimu, however, it was a faint. Taimu didn't see it coming, the beast Digimon gnawed at his shoulder.
"He quickly released his Digimon. This guy isn't a noob like me!", Taimu was thinking, he tried to look what was biting him, but as its teeth dug deeper into his shoulder, Taimu could only writhe.

To stop it, Taimu shouted to Materialize Geogreymon's shoulder from his own, its tougher body that was rapidly enlarging knocked the beast's head away, together with the man jumping away from Taimu. As the man stood to watch Taimu closely, his Child level Digimon stood by his leg.
Taimu got a clear view.

Name: Thugmon.
Level: Child/Rookie.
Type: Beast
Attribute: Data.
Element: Earth.
Species: Beast
Field: Nature Spirits.
Min weight: 15KG

This Digimon often resides in an urban area, or an a desert nearby a forest. Alone, with everyone denying to be with him when he was in his prior evolution made him want to fight and rebel against the world. However, he may be neither good nor bad, for he still doesn't know how life actually works.

It is a Digimon that looked like a bear, but had the figure of a troll. A lot of its fur was ripped off showing yellow crude skin, covered by the spiked and rough clothing he wears. As is already known, it had a baseball bat that can be transformed into a spiked bat. It almost looked like some rocky spikes stuck out from his sides and shoulders.

Taimu's vision started to get hazy. He nearly lost strength in his legs.
"So that is his Digimon. I don't know what kind of beast his evolution is, but I am not going to take any chances.", Taimu was thinking, whilst his vision was slowly starting to focus.
"I should've known using adult level Digimon would take up even more energy…However, I should still be able to summon him.", Taimu mumbled as he gathered his energy whilst clutching his fist.

"Come forth! Geogreymon!", Taimu shouted as his orange energy reached the air, forming his Digimon. Out came…. Agumon?
Taimu looked baffled at Agumon appearing in front of him.
"Eh?! Why did Agumon appear?!", Taimu shouted in surprise, striking an over-the-top pose.
"I don't know what yer doin', but if ya're mockin' me, I will take your head, boy! Even if summoned, He won't stand up to my beast!".

Taimu looked panicked at the man as his adult level Digimon shot a bunch of chained baseball bats at Taimu and Agumon, shoving them both further away.
The image of Thugmon, whispered in the man's ear, unbeknownst to Taimu.
When Taimu and Agumon got back up, they could only see that the man had fled.
"Man…Why do they always run away? I don't get that.", Taimu told himself.
Agumon went back in Taimu. He won't be able to summon him for six hours.

An hour of running whilst patching his wounds after, he ran into the square ground in front of his school, out of breath. He was too busy catching up, holding himself up by his knees. After a while, he looked around. A very dark looking outside area, as if the sky was always grey. The ground was made out of a black looking substance, and steel structures were in the surroundings.
"Yep, I am definitely in a special school for troublemakers alright…", Taimu thought.
He looked further in front of himself and saw that the doors were wide open, and next to it was a room with a large open window, where a man was staring at him in bafflement, though rather, he looked disgusted.

"Oi, what the hell is that? A military security point?!", Taimu shouted that out loud, that was how surprised he was. He felt it even more bizarre, because the rest of the school building looked normal.
He walked over to the front doors. He turned his head to the man, who looked back at him, seeming indifferent.
"Um…Sorry, I'm late.", Taimu said that in a confused tone as he shifts his eyes somewhat.
The man sighed and said, "And just as I thought we could go three days without someone being late for once. I was about to witness a miracle."

"Um…Are you not going to check. Like…If I am legit or whatnot?", Taimu asked with a confused smile.
"Oh… No.", he said, leaning back on his chair reading some kind of magazine.
"Um…What is your job exactly?", Taimu asked, still not getting it.
"To check on people coming in. But honestly, no one really cares if I do my job well.", he said.
"What if someone dangerous comes in here?", Taimu asked like he was talking to a boss.

"Not my problem. No one cares about a school like this and its problem children of students, so I won't get in much trouble anyway.", he said.
"Uh huh…", Taimu replied, he was getting it, and wasn't sure how to feel about it.
"Honestly, you could tell me you are about to shoot up the school, and I would just quietly leave pretending I didn't see anything.", he told him.
"At least care a little, old man!", Taimu screamed inside his heart.

Before he knew it, Taimu had roamed around and seen most of the school. He was walking in the hallway on the second floor, talking to himself, "Everything seems normal inside. Maybe it is emptier than what I am used to, but everything else is tidy and as I would expect from a normal school…But. It also looks a bit…Too tidy, as if no one is using anything."
He walked around, not even knowing what class he had to go to.

Suddenly, like a ghost, a teacher showed up in front of him.
If Taimu didn't learn to restrain himself from punching whatever shocks him, said teacher would be on the floor right now.
He stood hung over, his eyes were struggling to stay open. It was like even his skin didn't want to be there. It almost looked like slight shadows covered his face. He wore black clothing and a messily tied necktie. With a tired voice, that teacher asked, "Who are you, what do you think you're doing in this hallway?"

Most would be creeped out by his hollow and no-energy sounding voice, but Taimu remained calm and simply said, "I am Kinka Taishimu, nice to meet you!"
"There is no benefit to us meeting. It's not nice to meet.", that teacher said back.
"Okay…Anyway. I am sorry for being late, I mean it! I was in trouble, but I am here now. Could you please tell me which class I should join?", Taimu replied back, trying to ignore the teacher's comments.
"Ah, you are that late boy. Some were yapping about you, it was noisy and annoying. If you are coming late, or not at all, make it clear that you cause such problems beforehand so I don't have to hear it.", the teacher said, somehow sounding even more exhausted.

Taimu just blinked and stared puzzled at the man.
"Whatever. Your schedule said you should be in class 1-E right now.", the teacher told him before walking past him and saying, "Do know what you are supposed to do. I feel tired now from talking to you. Don't bother me or others."
"O-yeah, right…", Taimu said in a daze.
He turned around and said to the teacher, as he kept moving, "Wait. You didn't tell me your name!"
"It's a pain to introduce myself. You'll find out in my class anyway, why bother.", Taimu could barely make out what the teacher said.

Taimu shook it off and simply went to whatever classroom was 1-E.
The moment he opened the door, he heard someone shouting loudly his way, "WHO DARES DISTURB AND ENTER THIS CLASS?! YOU BETTER HAVE A REASON OR IT IS THE CHOPPING BLOCK WITH YOU!"
You might have your eardrums shattered by the grizzly scream of this man. Taimu looked at the source of the screaming and saw a sweaty thick looking man that actually had some muscle upon closer inspection. Short dark brown hair, wore plain clothes. This was his teacher.

"It's me, Taishimu, I'm late…", Taimu spoke, he didn't sound scared, it was more that he didn't feel like making things even more of a pain, so he sounded a little quiet.
"Well, if it isn't the one that skips without saying so! You could've just stayed away! But fine! Shut up! Get into your seat, and listen to the lesson! ALRIGHT?!"
"Sure…", Taimu replied apathetic.

"NOT "SURE"! YES! !", shouted angrily at Taishimu.
"Yes! !", Taimu replied energetically before dropping his shoulders and slowly getting to his seat.
Taimu's mind was occupied by thoughts of what he has experienced these days, with the Digimon and everything.
"So many things are still a mystery to me. I've stumbled upon this whole new world without knowing anything. It got me exciting at first…But…Looking at this school, something seems off. And perhaps, a lot of other things are off in places I've never been to. Are there…Digimon here too?"

"OI TAISHIMU!", his name was screamed by , almost making Taimu fall over from the chair he was leaning on.
"You're too obvious in not paying any attention! You brat, sit down properly and listen!", he shouted at Taimu.
The class was looking at him. Taimu frowned as he crossed his legs and locked his arms. He replied, "I sit comfortably like this. Why should that bother you, you don't lose anything do you? Just keep going and ignore me."

You could see the haunted faces of his classmates watching him as if he were about to die.
"OH NO NO NO, BOY! Listen here! When I am teaching…I will not let any of you laze around like all the other piece of shit teachers in this school…YOU GOT THAT?!", seemed to get as red as he was angry, raising his voice, yet talking eerily grouchy within his speech.

Without fear, Taimu just said, "Man, I've got something on my mind, give me a break." He didn't care, he already had decided to put as much effort into his school work as his school does its best for its students.
"WELL MAYBE I CAN GET YOUR MIND ON THIS!", screamed as he threw a piece of chalk at Taimu. It wasn't normal. He threw it with the posture of an athlete, steam came from his body, a red aura covered his figure with a shadow of a creature behind him.

The chalk flew like a bullet, and yet, without effort, Tiamu simply tilted his head to his left and let the chalk shoot past him, it ended up drilling through a wall.
"I'm sorry old man, but after fighting against actual monsters. A chalk flying at me just looks slow now…", Taimu thought, he didn't even realize how calm and non-caring he looked about the whole thing.

His classmates were in awe, never had someone dodged the legendary chalk death throw.
Hazuma's jaw was about to drop, but he quickly picked himself up and said, "Hm…Fine then. as long as you don't bother us further, I'll let you go on. But I should tell you, DO NOT, cause any more trouble…The last time a student did…It wasn't pretty for anyone involved…"
Hazume didn't seem frightened, but rather…Respectful.

The anger fleeted away, hey may be a violent mad man, but he wasn't dumb, as none had any trouble understanding what he thought, nor was he unable to ascertain a situation and how he should handle it.
Taimu on the other hand wasn't smart, but ever since unlocking his Digimon and evolving him to Geogreymon, he started to use his brain more.
"As much as I don't think anything of him, nor do I respect him. I did see that shadow. Was that a Digimon? I would never notice these things normally, but it feels like more things are getting clearer.", he thought.

He looked around and saw some of his classmates whispering.
"This is the most excited I've seen them, they had mostly bored faces before. Not weird, school is boring. Even then, something just seems off. These ones are supposed to be troublemakers, right? God, is this what it feels like to be a genius? Am I on a roll today or what?!", he kept thinking.

With the conclusion to 's lesson, the students were allowed to go outside for about ten minutes, discussing what they've learned, or so was the intent, but no one really cared.
Taimu walked outside and saw many walk around the hallways, it was so busy. it almost felt like people were walking through each other. It should've been lively, however, it just felt everyone was greyed out and just moved unenthusiastically to their next destination without making a sound aside from footsteps.

"This school used to be a bit more unruly once. Now not a single boy or girl is living whilst inside these schools. Controlled by fear…", Taimu heard these words, it almost felt like they were spoken from one's soul rather than one's mouth. He looked around to find the person who conveyed such information to him.
Taimu thought he couldn't find the one behind those words, however, across the hall, near the stairs, he saw someone familiar. Leaning against the wall was the wolf Digimon user, Takao Genya. With his arms crossed, he stared at Taimu with dry eyes. Someone walked in front of Taimu, blocking his view.

Once that person had walked past him, Genya was gone.
Taimu sighs. Even with a clearer mind, it doesn't matter if one is lacking information. Also doesn't help if you're not actually that much smarter anyway… With no info and no idea what anyone is even doing, he simply decided to stay in the classroom waiting for the next teacher. Maybe he will actually try to study for once…Maybe.

Each teacher that came after Hazuma wasn't really noteworthy, they would talk, lecturing the students as is normal. But it felt like they were talking to themselves, they often didn't even face the class. And unlike in Hazuma's classes, no one was paying attention. Taimu was too distracted to follow anything. He couldn't help but stare at the other students. All of them had stilted faces. In fact, none of them moved a muscle. All of them sat still, as if time had stopped. The only thing making it clear that wasn't the case, was them blinking.

Something changed however, when a peculiar teacher arrived. He was the man Taimu came across in the hallway, the one that always looked tired. He tiredly exclaimed himself to be, "Drunstun, Excaviar.", which was clearly not a japanese name.
"It's hard to pronounce, so just call me Kuropu.", he said.
In response, all students besides Taimu called his name soullessly. It was the first time Taimu saw them act since after Hazuma's class.

The atmosphere changed. The classroom got dark, and amidst the darkness were shadows that were somehow even darker.
Kuropu calmly taught the class about math. While he spoke in the most boring way possible, for some reason, it seemed easy to follow, even Taimu understood what he was saying despite his lack of intelligence, and him being distracted yet again.

He looked over the classroom once more. The students looked on edge. They were diligently writing notes and seemed to listen quite well to what Kuropu was saying.
"Why would renowned trouble-makers put so much effort into their schoolwork? Especially now that he is here.", Taimu thought.
One girl broke the tip of her pencil, cold sweat dripped from her face as her eyes widened. You could almost see her turn to stone as her breath got ragged.

Taimu watched her closely. Something was behind her. It was transparent, yet came with a thick black figure that was easily visible. Next to the girl, a head faintly appeared. It looked like a dog's, but on its face from the eyes to over its head was covered in some kind of black rough leather. Taimu could only see the side of the head, but he spotted two glowing red eyes. As it quietly growled, its saliva was spilled on the girl's sleeve.
The girl's pencil tip wasn't entirely broken, so she continued to write. The demonic dog head faded as she continued to write and regained her composure.

During the entire time, Kuropu didn't notice a thing. In fact, even Taimu had a gut feeling he wasn't aware of anything happening here. Taimu had sat on the edge of his seat, staring at others, yet he didn't get callout out by Kuropu at all. Neither did anything appear over him. Despite the atmosphere, he didn't even feel a presence looming over him.

The time had come for lunchbreak. Most just go to the school cafeteria, but Taimu opted to go outside instead. Regrettably, he had nothing, since he literally just ran out of a hospital. He leaned against the wall. He never had gotten depressed before, but this school really didn't feel right. Perhaps he was starting to feel something the other students were feeling?

Either way, he quickly jumped as a younger looking boy jumped out of the doorway before energetically greeting him.
"Hey, hey! You're new here too, right?", that boy said.
"Yeah…Um. Is something wrong?", Taimu asked him, he was utterly shocked. So far, the only genuine person he met in this school besides Hazuma and perhaps the security guard.

"Wrong? Why would something be wrong. I am happy!", the boy told him with a smile.
"Finally, someone that is doing his own thing! There was that other cool guy, but I never got to talk to him. Everyone just ignores me and just walks to wherever. But I saw you move out and thought, "This guy might listen to me!", he explained to Taimu.
"I see. So, what should I call you?", Taimu asked.

"Haruma Toya! I got kicked out because I kept talking over everyone and forced my inventions onto people.", Toya gave an introduction.
Taimu gave him a troubled look and just muttered, "Uh-huh…"
"I have no idea why even the other new students I came with are absolutely silent, but hey! At least I got you to talk to now!", Toya spoke, gave Taimu a wam smile.

"Do you look younger than you actually are?", Taimu asked him.
"Oh! Right. I don't think I've got my growth spurt yet. Neither did I mentally, so just treat me however you want!", he said happily.
"Okey then…", Taimu said, from his tone, you could tell he was thrown off.
"Anyway, look at my newest creation.", Toya told him before raising some kind of metal top.

"A top?", Taimu reacted, raising an eyebrow.
"Not just a top! This thing spins so hard, it can fly through the air. It's an item seeker! With the digivice, you can have it search for certain items or even Digimon in the Digital world that have been analyzed in your digivice. It can even look for your digivice if Registered…Although I have yet to work on the software of the digivice to get that to happen.", Toya told him all about the invention whilst flaunting it around.

"Isn't modding your digivice's software without permission illegal?", Taimu asked.
"I'm a troublemaker. My illegal activities don't matter anymore.", Toya told him smugly.
"I don't think it works like that, but I don't know enough about anything to deny so…Whatever then.", Taimu replied.

"So? So? So? Isn't it cool?", Toya annoyingly asked him.
"It definitely is something I would love to have. Did people really dislike you with inventions like these?", Taimu asked.
"Well, this is my first masterpiece… The rest were only slight quality of life items. Most called me lame for trying…But…But I am working on my skills as an inventor. Just you wait! When my second master piece is completed, which is very soon, I will proof everyone wrong!", Toya told him.

Taimu smiled before saying, "I see…You have an ambition. Can you tell me more?", sounding more mellow.
"Well, you see. Navigational apps in the digital world barely work, and most navigation is too simple in the real world as well. I am creating a while new type of digivice that can map out something with the utmost detail. Fully customizable. You can even see if people are in your path or not. You will never have to worry about sudden roadblocks unnoticed by other apps. You can even create a more vivid digital AR space for Digimon battles!", Toya passionately spoke.

Taimu raised his head as he listened to Toya's goal, "I will be a great inventor and truly make the future a better place to live. I also hope we can connect more with the Digimon. I want to proof that I am not some dumb kid. That I can create great things, no matter how small I am."
Taimu smiled at him. After looking at him for a few seconds, he said, "You have the ambition to be the best, then? I can relate, Toya."

Taimu stopped leaning at the wall and asked him, "When will your second masterpiece be ready?"
You could almost hear Toya's heart skip a beat. After staring at Taimu, he said with confidence, "I made this one a while ago with no one to show it to. The second one has already been worked on for a while. I will complete it in one week."
"Well then. I respect those with a drive to achieve their goals in life.", Taimu said before reaching out his hand to Toya.

"Show me the result, good or bad, will you? If I see what your maximum effort is like, however dumb of a power mine is, I will support you however I can.", Taimu declared.
Toya gasped slightly. He then, took Taimu's hand and shook it saying, "Then. Let's make a promise. We will meet at the balcony from the cafeteria. I will show you my map, and make you my first friend."
"Yes. I can see the determination in your eyes. I haven't had a friend in a long time. I'll see you in a week.", Taimu replied.
And thus, a bond had been formed in this creepy school.

Taimu was on his way back to the classroom. As he was on his way, het caught a glimpse of Genyu in the corner of his right eye. Taimu didn't stop moving until Genya spoke to him, "To think we would meet again in a place like this."
Taimu could feel a sudden spike of adrenaline as he took a close look at Genyu before replying, "You really are here! Why didn't you say anything earlier?! I haven't even thanked you yet from last time? …But. What are you even doing here anyway?"

"You think some young street thug could go to a normal school? I've been here for longer than you. They don't just send troublemakers, but also those that no one cares for. Especially someone like me who doesn't speak to others", Genyu answered.
"Hm…I see. But you're talking to me?", Taimu asked.
"You, too, have a Digimon. I was alone, seeing a monster that aided me. You think anyone could understand me? Only some others on the street could, but understanding wasn't the same thing as caring about a person. Those that have a Digimon in them only gets trouble. I just want to be, not like the ones who left me to my fate, but rather…Like…", He was talking rather quickly until the end.

Taimu looked at him with confused eyes.
Genyu shook his head and said, "That doesn't matter. Point is, you are new at this thing, I was just around the corner, since you are here now, and the only one besides me who I know had a Digimon and isn't a bad guy, I figure I need to discuss some things with you. Call it an act of kindness to make up for the times I have done nothing to help others."

"You are saying a lot of things like you're not actually a good person. You don't have to be hard on yourself you know. Let's get to know each other better.", Taimu replied with a smile.
Genyu leaned back slightly, looking thrown off. He didn't think much further and just said with his eyes closed, "We'll see about that. I might need your help at some point anyway. Regardless, I want you to come with me to the roof."

"Eh? But break time is almost over?", Taimu gave him a puzzled response.
"You think they care if we skip classes in this school? Besides, you don't seem the type to care about school. You're more interested in Digimon, right? That's what we're going up there for.", Genyu said.

"It's not like I don't care…But right now, Digimon is more important to me.", Taimu replied.
With that answer, the two agreed to walk to the rooftop.
"Normally, students aren't allowed up here anymore. However, no one truly cares. Though that may be so, no one can enter up here.", Genyu told Taimu.
They walked up a shadowy stairway, with the sun turning the windows into blinding lights.
Taimu asked, "How come?"
"You have noticed, haven't you? This place if filled with troublemakers. What do most odd people have in common? Surely, you have seen one with a shadow of a creature…"

"You don't mean…?", Taimu thought of it before, but still felt it couldn't be this way.
"That's right…This place if overrun…With Digimon.", Genyu stated, rather dramatically.
"There are many who could potentially have a Digimon, or awaken one. There is no idea who has one, because most rather want theirs to be hidden, or not even used at all. But that is not all. Digimon that have already been materialized, or use the electronics to stay alive sneak around in this building also. On top of that. Someone's Digimon is controlling these schools.", Genyu was explaining it all to Taimu.

A pendulum swung past the two as they were getting up, Genyu asked, "You probably noticed something during Kuropu's lesson, didn't you?"
Taimu stopped for a second. He was recalling the demonic dog head that salivated on the girl's shoulder.
"This school is already controlled by Digimon. Only those that have a Digimon have their minds protected. That is why we can break every rule without fear. Not to say we should stand out too much, though.", Genyu explained.

Taimu moved further and watched the pendulum swing, as well as looked at gears turn.
"Why is there a clocktower on the way up the roof?", Taimu quietly asked no one in particular.
Genyu looked at him with strained eyes, "You can see it too?", he asked.
Taimu looked over to Genyu with questioning eyes.
"It's not important…", Genyu said with a grumpy tone.

"So, those with Digimon are unaffected. What about Hazuma, he had a Digimon, right?", Taimu asked.
" is an interesting case. His Digimon is only a shadow for now. He has a lot of potential, but he has mentally stayed stuck in a mindset of which no Digimon of his can manifest. However, it comes at a plus point, he is even more resistant to any kind of mind control because of how stubborn he is.", Genyu explained.

The two finally reached the roof.
While walking outside, Genyu explained a few more things, "You had explained how you got your wound to me only seconds before. Don't worry, I can help you. I know exactly what you're going through. Let's start with energy consumption. You know it takes energy to use your Digimon in battle. Of course, using an Adult level Digimon take up even more energy. And it's not just that you're using more because of the strength of one."

Genyu stopped moving, turned around to make eye contact with Taimu, and then, he told him, "A Digimon is at his strongest with barely any energy cost at the Child level. This is why Agumon or Gabumon often are already in their state as we are wake. However, higher evolutions don't automatically manifest like they do. Every time you use them for the first time in a fight, they have to evolve inside your soul, costing the most energy.

Genyu let Garurumon walk around him, "Of course, you can somewhat train your mind and stamina to gain more overall energy to use them more often. Sometimes even casually. This you can train. Simply meditating, doing physical activities, or just doing certain daily things or exercises summoning your Digimon. You may even use less energy in evolution if you can control how long that evolution lasts inside you and what you use them for."

Genyu let Garurumon vanish. He said, "However. Materializing is a whole other beast. It takes mental strength to summon. But to make them real, it costs biological energy. Your blood flow, your neurons, the nutrients you get, the sparks in your brain, every slight energy can be used to Materialize them, and that is truly draining. Not only that, but to even convert it into energy that can make your Digimon appear is a task that is difficult. Adrenaline mostly lets it all flow into the Digimon. Not a lot is required for a Child Digimon, but you wanted to Materialize Geogreymon, and Adult."

Genyu observed his surroundings. A gust blew as everything went quiet for a bit.
Once Genyu had his eyes focused near a shutter box, he summoned Gabumon in full shouting, "Gabumon! Petit Fire!"
A small ray of blue fire was shot at the shutter box. It spread out right in front of it, something gained slight visibility with electricity coming from the shutter box discharged into it. Taimu could discern a figure as it jumped around avoiding Gabumon's attacks.

"I already told you, this school is overrun with Digimon. Including already materialized ones, hiding away. This one has been causing mischief for a while now… I have honestly been using it for practicing my skills for some time.", Genyu explained as the figure sprung in the front of him, his invisibility slowly being dispelled.
"Eeeeuuuwww…Why did you have to hit me this time, boy. Can you not get in my way for a week?", the Digimon said as his body was shown.

This Digimon seemed small, but if he got close, he'd be twice the size of the two boys staring at him. Its body was similar to that of a frog, particularly the lower body. However, it clearly had the torso and head of a gecko. Its arms looked swollen. It had yellow circles over its purple skin body. Its orange eyes had yellow irises.

"Don't worry, this will be the last time I'm bothering you. Since you won't live to do any more wrongs afterwards.", Genyu said as he menacingly walked towards Toxicinvisimon.
With cold sweat, it laughed at Genyu before saying, "Whilst you can hurt me, you can never get rid of me, or did you forget silly boy?"
"I kept you around to strengthen me. But I don't need to anymore. Instead, showing this guy behind me this is the only use you have left.", Genyu replied codly.
"Damn you boy… Don't get ahead of yourself!", The Digimon shouted.

Genyu grabbed a knife. He raised his arms in the air and held the knife close to his wrist.
He looks over to Taimu with a deadpan face and said, "For the record. I'm not doing this to be edgy, you understand?"
"Man, I wasn't thinking anything. What are you even doing?", Taimu replied in a dumbfounded tone.
"To Materialize a Digimon, one needs to use adrenaline to convert their bioenergy. However, what gives one enough adrenaline depends on the type of person. Battling is always a way, but it can take too long, you might end up dead before getting enough. This is my way to quickly gain adrenaline.", Genyu explained, just as he drives the edge of the blade into his arm.

The Digimon was taken aback as Genyu sliced a cut deep enough for blood to spatter over the ground, but not deep enough to leave a scar.
"Oi! Are you okay?!", Taimu shouted with his eyes and mouth wide open leaning forward.
"It hurts. But that pain shall make me feel a spark. The spark that I need to fight…", Genyu said as a blue dreadful aura loomed over him.

"As I shout with my blood rushing, howl to the moon, o' wolf that marched through cold, burn the ice with a fire exploding through your fangs. I summon you, GARURUMON!"
An image of Gabumon appeared, it said, "Gabumon! Evolution!"
The blue stripes on its pelt blinked a blue bright light before everything aside the pelt burst out into a blue blaze. Its burning arms slid into the arm sleeves of the pelt, transforming it into big claws.

The back of its pelt grew over its burning legs whilst he pushed his head up further into the pelt with his horn burned away, the flares flew over his body before it fused and grew with the pelt. As the flames around its new body were starting to wane, he did a dash leading into a high jump into the air, with a moon shining on him. As it opened its mouth, teeth grew that emitted a cold air. With one bite, everything under the moon's light froze. After landing on the ground, it set a few steps forwards before roaring at the sky, unleashing a hot blue fire from its mouth that melted the surroundings.
As soon as this mental image of evolution was finished, "Garurumon", roared his name.

"G-Garurumon?! Why does someone like you have such a powerful Digimon?! Why does it obey you?!", Toxicinvisimon asked him.
"Garurumon is a vicious hunter, but respects his friends, he doesn't always get too many of them because of the fear surrounding him. We get along.", Genyu boldly claimed.
"Garurumon! Jump in the air and use Fox Fire down onto him!", Genyu gave a command.
Garurumon roared before jumping into the air. A blue concentrated flamethrower was shot down as it said, "Fox Fire!"

ToxicInvisimon smashed its swollen arms onto the ground, allowing him to get even higher into the air, while at the same time, Garurumon had a curtain of smoke cover him as he fell.
"Venom Spread!", ToxicInvisimon shouted as his arms deflated with venom spraying out of them. He waved them around, creating a toxic field.
"No matter how fast you are, you can't avoid that! Heck, you can't even see me with the smoke from your own attack!", Toxicinvisimon said, convincing only himself.

Taimu was backing off as he was kind of close to the sludge of venom.
Genyu didn't even flinch, saying, "You don't know, huh? I can see you from here, and thus, can he…"
Garurumon had its claws on the edge of the building, hiding on the side of it from the toxic sludge. He pushed himself over the edge, reached the altitude of Toxicinvisimon. With cold fangs, Garurumon bit into him.
It screeched for a bit, but Toxicinvisimon calmed himself down with the thought, "That fool. He bid into me not knowing the poison in my body will end him."

However, he instantly panicked as he saw the ice covering his skin from Garurumon's fangs.
"He's using Ice Fang to freeze the liquid inside my body, including the poison!", he screamed internally before getting dragged over the air. Gnawing on him, Garurumon swung him over before throwing him down onto the ground. Without him able to move, Garurumon landed in front of him, prompting Genya to say, "Finish him off."
With a stomp on the ground, Garurumon stretched its body before unleashing a powerful blue flame yelling, "Fox Fire!"
Nothing was left from Toxicinvisimon, aside from its data.

As Garurumon faded away, Genyu turned around to look at Taimu, who had been staring at him aghast for a while now.
"You made him appear so quickly, and as an Adult level, too!", Taimu pointed out.
"Yes, I'm sure you understand now, there are ways to quickly gain adrenaline. Of course, the amount you need is also depended on your mental strength and experience based on materializing your Digimon. Even with Child, you need quite a bit of adrenaline, although soon, you should be able to summon your Agumon without even doing much.", Genya explained.
Taimu put his fists on his sides and exhaled. He then said, "Alrighty then. I think I can do that. beats actually trying to do school stuff."
"…At least try to study somewhat…", Genya replied with a somewhat dry tone.

This would be the end of Taimu's first school day. It was so tiring, he had to drag his feet to come back home. Unfortunately, the day had only begun for him.
On his way home, people were constantly running past him, they appeared to be fleeing.
Among them were police officers evacuating them. Taimu looked on edge.
Further ahead, he saw a few police officers, blocking the road safe for one, one police officer was guiding people out of the area.

Taimu walked up to them and asked, "Excuse me, what's going on?"
"Don't get any closer, kid. Beyond here, some kind of beast roams around. No idea what it is, but we haven't gotten any response from the other officers in the area. All we could do was get people out of the vicinity.", he said.
"A beast? Perhaps…It's a Digimon?!", Taimu quickly figured it out.
"You mean that beast over there?", Taimu asked the officer as he pointed to the man's left.

With a rough snap movement, the officer turned to his left ready to fight, only to see nothing.
"Huh? Where is i-", he noticed too late that Taimu had run past him.
"Hey! Get back here?! Where do you think you're going?!", he yelled at Taimu, it was heard by the other officers.
Taimu looked back and thought, "I should probably cover myself so they probably won't come after me."
Agumon appeared behind Taimu as he shouted, "Agumon! Baby Flame!", making it shoot a ball of fire to create a cloud of smoke.

The police officers were about to run after him, but stopped as they heard from behind, "Let him go!"
They turned around to see a young lass. One of them asked with an annoyed voice, "Who do you think you are?"
She held an Identity badge and said, "This is my area of expertise. By my authority, I ask you to leave this to me, including that young man. He's somewhat safe, too."
They did recognize it as a badge for a type of law enforcer.

"Eh…? How can such a young girl…?", one officer spoke for the rest.
Their chief reinsured the confused officers, "Let her go through. It is held secret on what kind of job they do, but she is right in saying this falls under her jurisdiction."
In the meantime, Taimu ran through a deserted city-block.

Cars were smashed, he could see articles of ripped clothing on the street. There was more carnage as he got close to some vacant police cars with their siren lights still on.
It was like he could suddenly sense danger, he stopped in the middle of a large crossway. Goosebumps almost stiffened him as he could hear slow footsteps that were certainly not that of a human. It was approaching.

Out of a gap of a wall of cars, a four-legged creature moved in front of him.
"That Digimon. It's similar to that of the man I fought earlier.", Taimu noticed.
It was a yellow Digimon with canine-like featured. Its body appeared rocky. His skin was protected by numeral spikes. Around the neck were two blades that stuck out with odd sharp curves. Chains ran through its body, they were all encircling individual points of its body that had spikes sticking out. The chains themselves came from a spik collar. Its head was especially covered in rocks, spikes, and horns. Its crooked teeth looked just as rough.

Its tail looked just like a string of rocks. Its wild look was completed by the glowing blood red eyes.
Its name was Yaseimon. After being alone and alienated in its previous form, had left it with hatred and thoughtless feelings. Only going off by destructional instinct

Name: Yaseimon.
Level: Adult/Champion
Type: Chained Beast
Attribute: Virus
Element: Ground
Species: Beast
Field: Nature Spirits, Nightmare Soldiers.
Min Weight: 60G.

From inside its body, it shot a spiked baseball bat that was attached to a chain, it was able to use that chain to swing it at Taimu. Coming from Taimu's right, Taimu used agumon's legs to cover his own to increase his jump height, avoiding it. As the beast yanked it further, the baseball bat hit a car, knocking it straight into the air, it left a big dent to boot.
Taimu looked at the demolished car and thought, "If that hit a normal person, he could die!"

It extended a multitude of baseball bats connect through chains, it thrusted some of them at Taimu. He side-stepped to dodge them, another swing came, and he avoided that too.
After eluding so many of them through means of acrobatic jumps, Taimu stopped moving as he heard rumbling noises behind him.
Watching his rear, he saw a chain with a baseball bat retract from a building behind him that had most of its support smashed out. The building was slowly falling onto him.

He looked back at the Digimon to see that he had launched two chains with baseball bats, swinging one at each side of Taimu.
Taimu's face was strained, he thought with his clenched teeth, "I can't dodge all of this at once. I have no choice."
Geogreymon!", with a powerful shout, he summoned the big dinosaur as it blocked the baseball bats with his arms.
"Mega Burst!", Taimu shouted as he made his Digimon burn part of the building off with an intense beam of fire

"This is my chance!", Taimu thought as other parts of the building fell near him. Yaseimon couldn't see him, so he thrusted at least ten baseball bats forward with his chains, penetrating concrete. Taimu had jumped on top of the building and quickly sprung his way to Yaseimon.
He just threw a punch at his head. Yaseimon got flung back against a car.
After standing up and shaking its head, it glared at Taimu.
"Is it enough?", Taimu though before throwing his fist in the air and shouting, "Come Forth! Geogreymon!" …But nothing happened.

The beast just angrily launched 8 chained baseball bats at Taimu, their speed was way faster than before, showing that it wasn't even serious yet.
"Geogreymon!", Taimu said as he put his guard up, Geogreymon formed around him. He took the hit with his Digimon spirit, he was launched into a building, at the same time two baseball bats had been launched into the air, ready to be whipped down onto Taimu.

Some time passed after he had taken that beating. Taimu stood up.
"I took enough damage, right?", he thought with his breath ragged, hic clothes ripped and his skin bruised.
"Show up, Geogreymon!", he called out to it again, yet nothing happened.
"Is my adrenaline…Really not high enough? After getting hurt so much?", Taimu asked himself, staring at the sky as if he could see his soul fleeting. Sound was leaving his ears as he looked at Yaseimon. He mumbled, "I…Already am exhausted. Just from summoning Geogreymon twice…"

Despite all these feelings, he set one step forward and said, "Oh well then…I will just have to keep fighting like I normally would."
"How about you stop for now?", Taimu heard from his side.
He relaxed his body, with a dumb looking face, he gazed at a girl. It was Aya.
"You…Are that girl? Are you here to bother me again?", Taimu asked.
"If I wanted you, you wouldn't have left the hospital.", She replied.

"This Digimon is my pray. I've been looking for him all day.", she explained whilst getting closer to Taimu.
"I thought he belonged to a man?", he asked.
"So, you met him.", she said before sighing, then she made a comment, "Why do I get the feeling I'll find you whenever there is trouble?"
Taimu ignored that and asked, "Do you know what happened to the man? Did the Digimon take over again?"

"It's a bit more complicated. It was thought he was A Digibility user like you and me. He was dangerous enough to have it at the Adult level. However, now that I see it here alone, and the fact we only discovered this man recently, I have a different theory.", Aya answered.

Taimu leaned forward, showing that he was listening.
She looked him in the eye and told him. "It's possible that a contract was made. Sometimes, a fleeting Digimon that exists between the real and digital world through data offers to become a part of a human, his soul, basically. There are many kinds of ways these contracts go. The Digimon here probably only wanted to evolve further. He was stuck with a man who was feeding it negative energy, probably because he himself was just a negative person. It evolved, at some point, he lost his wits and it came out like this, wild and unintelligent."

Aya turned to the Digimon and set a few steps forward, "Either way, I will take care of this. This is my job, after all."
"Hey, this is my fight…Last time you took one on alone, you got your butt kicked.", Taimu told her.
"Are you worrying about me?", Aya said as she stopped moving, in the next second, she turned around with a confident smile and said, "I have Tailmon with me this time, I won't lose. You don't even know the basics of combat with your Digimon. Let me show you how an official does it."

The first thing Aya did was give Yaseimon a mean glare, a pink aura surrounded her, sounds cute, however, it looked rather dark for a color that is supposed to be bright. An image of Tailmon projected behind her.
"What is this? I can feel pressure. Is she intimidating the Digimon?", Taimu asked himself.
"One of the most basic skills is using your Digimon imitation and mental aura to affect the Digimon psychologically. In some cases, it is used as Intimidation to freeze the Digimon. In this case, I want to provoke him. I know that is what the effect is here, for Yaseimon only cares to destroy things. I am challenging him at full power, and I know he can see my strength from the aura.", Aya said.

Aya crouched down, Tailmon's hands and feet were projected over hers. Rapidly, Yaseimon shot out its chained baseball bats at Aya. In a blink of an eye, Aya had jumped far away from the spot she was standing now, of which was now shattered by the impaled baseball bats.
Despite them looking stuck, they quickly came out and were retracted back enough to the point where they were next to Aya.
"These chains are controlled like extensions of the body. They defy physics…In other words.", she thought that whilst using Plotmon's head looked at the chains. It was done so she didn't have to move her head.

As soon as her feet touched the ground, she jumped high into the air, avoiding a pincer attack of baseball bats.
With no time to spare, it shot all of its baseball bats into the air, chasing Aya.
From different directions they came, and yet, she positioned herself so they would all barely miss, only close enough for her to brush parts of her body softly against the chains.
She kicked herself off a chain to get back onto the surface.

The monster slammed three of its baseball bats down as fast as it could, nonetheless, Aya dodged it with a side jump. Another round of baseball bats was attempted to be whipped at her, but she dodged them too. In the meantime, it had retracted a few others to thrust and swing it at her, but she either jumped over them, or between them, sometimes, she even simply changed her positioning and let them past.
"That thing is way faster than when he fought me. And she isn't even batting an eye as she avoids all of them. It's like a casual dance for her.", Taimu commented.

No matter what, it couldn't his Aya, even as it threw all of its attacks at her, she would move between them with outstanding flexibility.
As she moved around the chains, she was thinking, "Yes, this is the power of A Digibility user a Digimon alone doesn't have. Digimon can slightly alter the bodies of a human. Tailmon is a cat, so I can do similar things cat can do, like make myself smaller and move through smaller spaces.

With Tailmon's hand, she grabbed a chain and pulled herself forward, practically shooting herself at Yaseimon.
She fully summoned Tailmon and shouted, "Tailmon! Cat Laser!", making Tailmon shoot Yasiemon with two lasers from her eyes.
Yaseimon flinched, giving Aya enough time to get in front of it. It was about to bite her in retaliation, however, she not only stylishly jumped over the Digimon, flipping herself upside down, she left the upper body of Tailmon down below.

The upper body of Tailmon slammed Yaseimon slightly into the air as Aya shouted, "Cat Punch!"
as it was flown into the air, Aya, with her legs being covered by Tailmon's, slammed Yaseimon back into the ground as she did a flip kick whilst shouting, "Mega Kick!"
She flipped herself back with her head facing the earth, she looked at Yaseimon.
She shot lasers out of her eyes as she shouted, "Cat Laser!"
Yaseimon's side was only slightly burned. As for Aya, she landed safely behind it.

It tried to claw her, but she simply side-stepped and grabbed the arm with Tailmon's tail.
With the tail, she pushed Yaseimon forward and punched him with Tailmon's fist.
It didn't hurt too much, but knocked Yaseimon back.
After sliding over the ground, It tried to pulverize Aya with its baseball bats, but she easily dodged by plunging herself forward.

She let Tailmon out to give Yaseimon the impression that she would attack him right then and there, but she stopped to jump over him and shouted, "Cat Scratch", summoning Tailmon's arms to scratch his back. It was only mildly irritating.
After landing behind it, Aya and the spirit of Tailmon jumped separate ways, confusing Yaseimon.

If it were any smarter, it would notice Tailmon was missing a fist.
Aya used Tailmon's missing fist to punch Yaseimon, whilst simultaneously, Tailmon punched in from the other side. The two shoved their fists against Yaseimon, almost flattening it between their fists. She knew this wouldn't be enough, however, so she jumped back. It quickly retaliated with baseball bats, so she moved back on all fours, away from the enemy avoiding its assault.

"There. I tired it out. And I am all warmed up. It is time to finish this.", Aya said, standing close to Taimu.
Taimu noticed a pink aura around her, it was stronger and more erratic than last time.
"Oh, follower of the light. The wicked are out, and to protect the peace, we have to punish the sinning shadows that plague men, guide us and yourself into light by the holy ring and fight! Tailmon!", Aya made a whole speech before calling out to Tailmon.

Plotmon appeared, and it said, "Plotmon! Evolution!"
Once again, an image was projected inside the minds of all surrounding this place.
Plotmon's holy ring grew big and floated above itself, giving it glimmers of light.
In the next moment, a great light shone from plotmon. Its ears stood up and got bleached in the light, turning into white cat ears with purple ends. It stood on its hind-legs, as the paws in front grew bigger. A shadow of a beast growled behind Plotmon before emitting two gloves that went over the paws, turning them into Tailmon's hands.

The Holy ring grew back to a normal size as it was flouting at Tailmon's rear. A ray of light was created from behind her back that went through the ring, forming her tail, where the ring shall rest on. As the light glimmered away, Tailmon swung her claws around with glistering light. It ended its evolution shouting, "Tailmon!"

Taimu leaned forward with his mouth gaping as he shouted, "You summoned her already?! You haven't even gotten hurt yet!"
"Adrenaline builds up by attacking your opponents, too. You don't need to get hurt. Everyone gets excited by different things, right? I don't need any more pain, if I can dance around my enemy and get them in a state of confusion, I feel satisfied. Besides, I have trained with Tailmon for over a year, it doesn't take much energy to summon her anymore."

It shot its chained baseball bats forward one more time.
"Tailmon. You know what to do.", Aya said. Letting her Tailmon run forward.
The first baseball bat that came close got knocked away to Tailmon right as she used her fist. Another one came Tailmon's way, she simply shattered it with a jump and scratch.
"Eh? She just destroys something with such destructive force so easily?", Taimu asked.
"Of course. Tailmon is strong. That Holy ring is what makes here strong despite her small body. Yet, her small body makes her easy to use with low energy. She's not as fast as say, Garurumon, but she makes up for it with mobile size and sheer strength.", Aya replied.

One by one, Tailmon moved alongside the baseball bats, shattering them with her fists and claws.
She was in front of Yaseimon, quickly throwing a punch it its face. In pain, Yaseimon slid back over the ground.
In anger, it jumped back at Tailmon, trying to gnaw at her.
But she simply sprung away from its teeth, she moved around Yaseimon, scratching him. It didn't do much damage, but it sure did hurt him enough to make him screech.

It attempted over and over again, to turn around and hit Tailmon with every part of its body, but she was just too elusive.
Nearing the end of the fight, Tailmon jumped over its head as it tried to bite her again.
"Power Cat Hammer!", Tailmon shouted as she smashed both fists down against Yaseimon, stopping him from moving.
"Typing Cat Kick!", she shouted while making a combo attack by repeatedly kicking. Yaseimon whilst in the air. She finished her combo by doing a spin kick using both legs in sync with shouting, "Spinning Cat Kick!", blowing Yaseimon over the air.
As it was landing, Tailmon shot lasers out of her eyes shouting, "Cat Laser!"

It roared as it got burned by the lasers. It stared Tailmon dead in the eye afterwards. Whilst Tailmon's eyes was locked on to his as she jumped forward, she said, "Cat's eyes."
The hypnotism used by Tailmon wasn't going to make Yaseimon listen to her commands, however, it did stop him dead in track for a while.
As Tailmon got right in front of him, Aya shouted, "All right, Tailmon! Finish it!"
Aya made a punching motion, probably due to the synergy she's feeling.

Tailmon pulled her fist back, long and with focus, she prepared for a punch. When she was ready, she shouted, "Cat Punch!", and thrusted a mighty fist against Yaseimon, launching it into a building, breaking through concrete.
Yaseimon's data was dissolving. Eventually, his being got scattered into data, meaning its death.
Aya held her digivice in the air to download the floating data.

Taimu stared at Aya for a bit, arms were crossed as he was thinking about something.
Aya turned around and noticed he seemed to have something to ask.
"What's wrong?", she asked him.
"Well, I've been wandering. What exactly do we do with a Digimon's data? My Agumon told me to download their data, too. I know something bad may happen if we just let it go, but…", Taimu asked.
"Well, A Digimon's data can be used for certain things, they are often bad things. Us, "Soul Hunters", as we are often called, simply transport the data back into the Digital World, so that the Digimon can be reborn from a Digi egg.", Aya explained.

"I see.", Taimu said, although, he made it obvious he paused for a second so he could look at Aya with a distrustful gaze.
"Now, should I assume you're going to try and arrest me again?", Taimu asked.
Aya let Tailmon back into her and said, "As much as I would love to, I was scolded for making a too hastily decision. I was told to bring you to the Headquarters so they could talk to you. You can decline me, but I am allowed to stalk you and annoy you into coming, would you prefer that?"

Taimu cringed at the mere thought.
"Ugh…Is there even any point? I'm not thinking of joining your organization.", Taimu said.
"I know you don't trust us because of that Genyu kid. But we can teach you to master your Digimon way easier than him. We have the tools for it. Besides, wouldn't you want to know the workings of what we do? Even if we were enemies, that information is priceless.", Aya gave him some arguments.

Taimu thought about it, his hand between his thumb and index finger. His head almost turned red from thinking.
He gave up and just looked at Aya with a defeated face, "You know what? I might as well try. They say trying new things is always important."
Aya closed her eyes as she quietly breathed out. She then said, "Understood. Then, come with me."

It was decided. Taimu would take a look at the Digital Border Soul Security Headquarters. If it were a trap, he would have no chance of escape, for the strongest Digibility users in the country have gathered. In the next few hours, Taimu's path, will have begun to be forged.

Afterword

Man. It's been a while. Greetings, it is, Somedudeonline, wondering if I should just use my Youtube name…Nah. Anyway. This year had me quite depressed for a while. It was difficult to get in the mood to write. On top of that, this chapter turned out way longer than I expected, I had to cut it in half. Chapter 4 is the other half of this chapter, which hopefully released next month.

If anyone is looking forward to the continuation of HDN: Third Sister, one chapter is done. My idea was to do one chapter of this, and one chapter of Third Sister, mainly because I do a chapter-by-chapter release for this one, making the wait not too long. Whereas Third Sister is by Volume, so that is going to take a while to release. If I were at my best, it would take me half a year at least to bring that out. Well, two chapters will be made before chapter 2 of that now, mainly because I wasn't expecting this to be one half of the two chapters, lol. I am hoping to continue writing more end uploading works more frequently, but who knows.
