"What can you tell us about Pasquale Gonzales?"

Coraline stared in confusion, "Uh...nothing. Who is that?"

"Well, it appears that he's your half-brother."

"Oh..." She let out a breath, "I remember now. I heard my mom and dad argue about him when I was little. I didn't understand at the time, but as I grew older I realised that my dad had cheated on my mom. I've never met my half-brother. Why are you questioning me about him?"

"We have evidence that he frequented your orphanage often. Plus it seems likely that Eileen is with him as well as those other kids that went missing."

Coraline's eyes widened, "What?" She shook her head, "No...that can't be. No I don't believe it."

"It's true, Miss Miller."

"Oh my gosh...No, no, this can't be happening."

John looked at her, "What can't be happening?"

Coraline let out a breath, "I..I have to go. I can't be here." Standing up, she quickly rushed out before she could be stopped.

"We should follow her." The agent told John

John shook his head, "No. I got this one." He followed after Coraline.

Back at Harold's loft, he had gone to the park with Sarai and Symone, leaving Samantha and Sameen in charge. Between the two women, Sameen was actually a better cook, so she was tending to their three children while Samantha worked at Harold's computer.

The machine flashed a number on the screen with the word 'Irrelevant'

"What do you mean irrelevant?" Samantha asked

'Irrelevant' The word and number flashed on the screen again.

Studied the number carefully this time and her eyes widened as she realised it was her number.

"I'm not irrelevant. You need me."

'Irrelevant' The word and number appeared for a third time on the screen again.

Samantha sighed. Harold Finch's worst nightmare had come true. The Machine viewed them as irrelevant.

Outside the FBI headquarters, John found Coraline sitting on a bench and sat down beside her.

"So what is it that you say can't be happening?" He spoke

"I lied when I said I never met my half-brother." Coraline took in a deep breath, swallowing a lump in her throat, "Pasquale...he contacted me once about ten years ago. He wanted to buy some of the kids from me. I told him no, of course, but he seemed really determined."

John let out a breath, "Oh...okay. Did he say what he wanted them for?"

Coraline shook her head, "No. I asked, but he was very vague about it. He did say something that struck me as odd. He said he wanted a family."

"And that was odd?"

"Yeah. He didn't seem like the family type. He didn't seem to like children."

John gave a hum, "Hmm...Well, that is odd."

Suddenly his phone rang. Looking at the caller ID, he saw that it was Root.

"What's up, Root?"

John listened as Samantha explained everything to him. The machine calling them irrelevant and a few other things that didn't seem good.

"Okay. Just leave then. You and Shaw take the kids to the safe house. Coraline and I will be back there soon."

Coraline gave him a questioning look, but didn't speak till after he was off the phone.

"Is everything alright?" She asked him

John gave a small nod, "Oh yeah. It's nothing for you to worry about. Just stay here. I'll square everything away with the FBI."

"Okay. Thank you, John."

"It's no problem." He told her

I know this chapter is a little short. I'm sorry about that. I fear I may have to discontinue this story because I have no idea where I'm going with it anymore.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy. And as always comments are greatly appreciated.
