Fate 6: Hunt 2 (The Kill Game)
Chapter 8: Level 6!
Three lives are given to the 7 men and woman...if all lives are lost, their souls will be forever lost in the dark abyss below... they are being hunted by a disfigured super man. A red jewel is at the top of the mountain, whoever reaches it first will become the winner and receive a prize and return home. The contestants cannot kill each other but they can fight, because in the forest lies treasure chests. Each chest contains an extra life, one that will make you gain one life. Traps are around the forest as well. What happens to losers who don't get to the jewel? Nobody knows...
Reset after death: 1 hour.
Super Monster Man: 2 hours.
Nodoka's POV
I wake up….hearing that buzzer go off, it must be the next level…. I open my eyes and see Jinyu and Tsubame.
"You awake?" Tsubame asks as Jinyu hands me my glasses. I nod and take them and put them back on.
"Didn't know Seungah had it in her to do that. At least she didn't lose a life for it." Jinyu said and watches the cabin that Coro exploded vanish. Hakua happens to be leaning by a tree. "Hmph. That girl is nuts. Seryu Ubiquitous…" Hakua has his arms crossed as well…and I see he has a dark red potion with him.
"Indeed she is. She really thinks she can win by cheating?" Tsubame chuckles a little.
"Hakua was it? Aren't you going to drink that potion?" I asked him.
"Heh. I'll wait and ask Old man Liver about it at the next checkpoint." Hakua told me.
"Well we better find it fast, before Seryu Ubiquitous comes back…" Jinyu said and loads her shotgun.
I hear giggling and I turn around to see the monster man with Popuko and Pipimi. "Dammit." I hear Tsubame say under her breath.
"Oh great. It's these losers." Hakua rolls his eyes and gets ready to fight, as do Jinyu and Tsubame. I also get ready, even though I'm a little hurt still, I won't back down against these individuals.
"Grrrrr." The monster man growls as he raises his hatchet. I think he's going to charge at us….he does. He roars and charges at me! I'm not fast enough to react in time! Luckily Tsubame shoots him in the head. He staggers and does not go down! He charges Tsubame and grabs her. Popuko and Pipimi run past me and go after Jinyu and Hakua. Why did they ignore me?
Popuko collides with Hakua, their weapons clashing against each other. "You only have one life left! I'll make your final death…painful! Hehehehe!" Popuko smirks and then giggles.
"And I'll have your damn head you crazy chick!" Hakua yells and punches Popuko. Pipimi swings her pickaxe at Jinyu who is easily avoiding them.
Jinyu smacks Pipimi in the face and shoots her foot. Pipimi falls down and moans in pain. She manages to grab Jinyu by her leg and trips her.
I pull my arrow out and aim at Pipimi. Pipimi gets on top of Jinyu and starts to strangle her. I fire. My arrows hits Pipimi in the back. She groans and then she gets electrocuted. Pipimi falls over dead as Jinyu gets back up and coughs a little. I look over at Popuko and Hakua. I aim arrow at the crazy blonde girl. I fire.
"I don't think so!" Popuko says and quickly ducks and gives me the finger and sticks her tongue out at me. How childish. Hakua smirks and stabs her in the chest….and then slices her head off. I look away from this.
The monster man unfortunately has defeated Tsubame, her body has been chopped up. The monster charges at Jinyu. I fire my arrows at the monster but they don't slow him down. The monster crashes into Jinyu, sending her flying and she hits the ground hard, her shotgun lands near me….
"Jinyu!" I called to her, I make my way to her, but my injury stops me. I groan and again, my leg has been infected with an acidic liquid. I groan and crawl and grab Jinyu's shotgun.
The monster man grabs Jinyu by the throat and strangled her to death. I look to see Hakua holding that red potion. Is he going to….
"Here goes nothing!" Hakua yells and gulps the red potion down! I gasp as I see a red aura wrap around him. The monster drops Jinyu's lifeless body and stares at Hakua. Hakua moves so fast, he's already in front of him! He then slashed ridiculously fast. The monster bleeds out rapidly and dies.
I gasp….that red potion must have enhanced his abilities. He slowly turns to me, his eyes glowing as he stares at me, drooling… I quickly aim Jinyu's gun at Hakua. Hakua suddenly grabs me by the throat and starts to strangle me. "This power! It's divine!" He says and laughs maniacally just like Seryu Ubiquitous. Suddenly Hakua groans and starts scratching his neck ferociously. He gets off of me and kept scratching.
"IT BURNS!" He yells and all of a sudden Hakua burst into flames! I gasp in shock. That red potion must have had an after effect on him. Hakua screams and he falls over….turning to dust before my eyes. I couldn't move or look away. A buzzer goes off, Hakua is gone from the game…. There's only four men left. Keiichi, Kokua, Akane and Kiyota.
I have to keep moving. I get up and slowly move as best as I could. I needed to get medical attention. Luckily, I enter some bushes and find a chest. I find a towel and a torch. Just what I needed. I see a small note and it reads Fio's name.
I begin torching Jinyu's gun where the firing hole is at. I put the towel in my mouth and press the hot surface tip of the gun into my stab wound. I cauterise my wound, my screams muffled. After I finish I pant. I look to see if anyone had heard me. No one. I soon rest up and fall asleep.
(Normal POV)
Seryu is back again as the others are as well. Seryu finds a chest full of weapons. "Hmmmm…" Seryu loads up, placing daggers, axes and even an acidic bomb. She places all of it in a large bag and enters another abandoned cabin. She turns it into her weapons storage. "Let's get to work~" She smirks. Coro agrees with a salute. He stood on the table where the woman placed the bag on. What is she planning? She heads out with the bag and meets up with Popuko and Pipimi.
"Are you ready?" Pipimi asked.
"Let's begin….we take them out one by one." Seryu said with a sadistic smile on her face as she holds up another white potion.
Margot is walking by herself looking for chests that may contain a life potion. She suddenly sees Popuko and Pipimi. "Tsk. You two again?" Margot gets her weapon out and is ready to fight.
Popuko grins and throws a bottle full of acid. It hits Margot in the face and she screams in pain as the acid burns her face. Margot falls down holding her face as she rolls around. Pipimi gives Popuko a thumbs up. "Not wise of you to be by yourself, Margot." Seryu says and jumps off a tree and lands near her. Seryu kicks Margot and then Popuko and Pipimi pick her up as Seryu fishes through her bag of deadly toys as she calls it. Seryu holds Margot's burnt face and then knees her in the gut a couple of times.
"Listen here! I'm going to win this game! You hear me!?" Seryu laughs and punches Margot in the face. Pipimi and Popuko drop her. Seryu gets her bag and finds a knife. Seryu pours the acid on it and slowly cuts Margot's right arm. Margot screams in pain.
"You lose." Pipimi said and Popuko gives Margot the finger. Margot's other arm is then sliced as well. Eventually her arms come off from the acid eating them away. Margot cries in pain and then Seryu goes for the final strike. She stabs Margot in her head!
Jinyu and Tsubame rush to Margot's aid, but it's too late. Popuko and Pipimi throw a smoke bomb together and they run away with Seryu laughing maniacally. "Dammit! We're too late!" Tsubame growls. Jinyu goes to Margot's body and closes her eyes. "I'm sorry Margot….we were too late." Jinyu said to her and she's carrying a life potion. Margot's body dissolves into the ground below. Now 9 contestants are left.
Keiichi is walking with his baseball bat in hand. "Alright. Let's see what's inside." Keiichi says and opens a chest he came across. He finds a purple potion. Before he could drink it, Seryu appears.
"Hello Keiichi Maebara." Seryu said with a sinister chuckle. She pulls out a hammer from her bag of toys. Keiichi grips his bat tightly and swings at Seryu. Seryu blocks it with her hammer. "I've come to take your life."
Keiichi kicks Seryu but she flips backwards and away from him. Keiichi looks behind him and sees Popuko and Pipimi. "What are you planning?"
"To steal everyone's life by killing them! Then I'll get to the mountains before level 7! Level 7 is the final level, well down here it is." Seryu told Keiichi.
"What do you mean last level?"
"Level 7….the entire ground will sink to the bottom! Anyone who goes with, loses all their lives no matter how many they have!" Seryu yells and swings at Keiichi. He dodged the woman's strike and shoves her away with his foot. Unfortunately, Keiichi takes a step back into a bear trap set up by Popuko. Keiichi screams in pain and falls down, onto another bear trap! This time, his left hand gets caught! Seryu Ubiquitous laughs and then kicks Keiichi in the face, then slams her hammer in his face, shattering his nose and giving a gruesome black eye. "Popuko! Take the potion!"
Popuko takes the potion and puts acid into it and shakes it up and places it back into the chest where Keiichi found it. "All set!" She salutes.
"Excellent!" Seryu smiles. Seryu grabs Keiichi by the neck and goes for the kill. Falcom intervenes however! Falcom slices Popuko and Pipimi in half and then kicks Seryu off of Keiichi. "Falcom…" Seryu growls and she locks eyes with the young adventurer.
"Your fight is with me. Seryu Ubiquitous! I will not let you steal anymore lives! You cheater!" Falcom slashes forward at the woman. Seryu ducks and kicks Falcom in the chest and gets her in a headlock. Seryu then tosses Falcom to the ground. Seryu takes Falcom's sword and slashes down. Falcom rolls out of the way and tackled her down soon after. Falcom's dragonslayer falls to the ground. Falcom and Seryu both have each other by the throat. The two get up and Seryu knees Falcom in the gut and then punches her in the gut. Then Seryu roundhouse kicks her in the face.
"I'll kill you…." Seryu growls and takes Falcom's sword. Falcom coughs and spits blood out of her mouth. She crawls to a tree but is stopped as Seryu cuts her foot off. Falcom groans in pain, then her left hand is slashed off. Keiichi lied there, still having the bear traps on him, but he managed to get up and painfully swung the bear trap on his hand and smacks Seryu in the head. Seryu gets knocked out cold.
Both Keiichi and Falcom are severely hurt. Unfortunately the monster man appears. He roars and slams his axe down onto both of them….
Akari and Akane find chests and only one life potion. Akari drinks it and is back at 2 lives. The two sit together on a log and talk. They talk about how the final level is coming…
"I do hope we can win, together." Akari tells him.
"Right. I'm sure more than one can win. Whatever that may be." Akane nods and looks into Akari's eyes. They both eventually kiss and make out, with Akari getting on Akane's lap and fall over onto the ground. They soon start removing their clothes…
Nodoka wakes up and finds Seungah carrying her on her back. "You're awake. I found you sleeping. You are pretty wounded by the looks of it. I found out that there is no further checkpoints. And that level 7 is the last level. We have to make it to the mountains before level 7 finishes. Otherwise, we lose; no matter how many lives we have left." Seungah told Nodoka. The fighter looks at the mountain in the distance. "Level 7 will be beginning soon….let's not waste time."
"GRAAAH!" The monster man roars and is in front of the two…
