3960 - The Endar Spire

Branka saw Cain and said, "Uncuff her. She's not a prisoner."

The soldier said, "We capture her so she's the prisoner of the Galactic Republic."

Branka said, "I order you to uncuff her now. Is that clear?"

The soldier said, "Yes general."

The Republic soldier uncuffs her. Branka and Cain walked a bit till they were standing in front of the window screen and behind them, the battle over Malachor V was still going on.

Cain said, "Thanks." She was rubbing her wrists.

Branka said, "No problem. What's your name?"

Cain said, "Cain Buchanan of the Clan Bralor."

Branka said, "You know you were not born on Mandalore."

Cain said, I'm a foundling, my father told me."

Branka said, "You were born on Corellia so you are a Corellian. Your adopted father must have found you in the streets when you were abandoned."

Cain said, "How did you know I was a Corellian? Why was I abandoned then? Tell me now!"

Branka said, "We got your blood during a battle and we did a DNA test. Your father was going to marry someone that was not of his rank. Your father's name was Jacen Solo and he was royalty, a prince when he met your mother." Branka had a look of sadness on her face. Cain saw the sadness on her face.

Cain said, "What happened to him?"

Branka said, "He died during the Fourteenth Alaskan Conflict. He saved many lives that day. His brother Jaster became king."

Cain said, "And my mother?"

Branka said, "Your mother is -" She was cut off when an explosion rocked the ship.

Cain was pushed towards the window and her arm got caught up in three hooks that were on the wall near the window. Wires from the consoles were exposed. Sparks were coming and going on. There was smoke all around. Little fires were going but were being put out. Dead bodies were scattered around the ship after it was hit. There were screaming and yelling of orders amid the chaos. There were moaning and groaning from the wounded. Lights were flickering on and off. Everyone was running in a panic. The Republic soldiers grabs Branka as she was screaming Cain's name. As the Republic soldiers took Branka away, they met up with a male Cerean name Ki-Adi Mundi.

Branka said, "What about Cain?! We can't just leave her!"

One of the soldiers said, "There is nothing we can do to help her. She's gone."

Branka said, "I don't believe you! I'm going to help her." She got out of the grip of the two soldiers. She was about to run but her Jedi master grabs her shoulder.

Ki-Adi Mundi said, "You will be expel from the Jedi Order if you let your feelings for this Cain get in the way."

Branka said, "Yes master."

Then they continued their way to the escape pods. They got to the escape pods and went into the escape pod. Everyone else that had survived who were not wounded or dead in the escape pods except for the pilot, the copilot, and Cain. They all jettisoned before the Endar Spire blew up. Cain was desperately trying to get her arm out of the hooks but then a torpedo hits the window and blows up the ship. The explosion pulls Cain into space by ripping her whole left arm off. Everything went black for Cain. She was not breathing and she was frozen. While in the escape pod, Branka tried not to cry loudly but silently. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. Then a Interdictor-Class Cruiser picked Cain up.
