This is how we, Iwannagetitwrite and behindtheseen, think the show should have gone. Don't get me wrong, we liked it, but it felt like they ignored awesome details and didn't pull out all the stops. I own nothing.
I'm going to skip Eugene's intro, it was perfect.
Rapunzel stares down at the pedestal where the sun drop flower once grew. "there's got to be a way to fix all this, Pascal. But, how?"
Pascal squeaks a shrug, making her sadly smile.
Arianna walks over, "did I ever tell you about the biggest fight your aunt and I ever had?" she steps away from a cluster of rocks. "we were just teenagers, but Willow was so mad she actually built a brick wall in the middle of our bedroom!"
Rapunzel gasps, "what?"
she looks her daughter in the eyes, "I'm not kidding! Your grandfather nearly lost his mind." she turns away, "I tried talking to her through the wall, slipping notes between the cracks, but she refused to talk to me."
Rapunzel laughs, "what did you end up doing?"
"I took a hammer..."
"and knocked that wall down." another voice finishes.
Rapunzel gasps, "Aunt Willow! What are you doing here?"
Willow scoops Rapunzel in a hug, "heard you were in trouble so I came to help. We even brought you an army."
"we?" Arianna asks.
An annoying female voice complains, "darn these insects, have they no respect?"
"Calliope." Rapunzel says with forced enthusiasm, "what are you doing here?"
"helping, duh. Your Aunt already told you. You couldn't possibly win without my help. After Zhan Tiri invaded the spire I knew this was getting too big for you to handle, so I contacted your "friends" and begged them to come. You're welcome. Now help me up, time's a waistin'."
Willow gives an apologetic smile and turns to get Calliope on her horse.
Arianna looks at Rapunzel and smiles encouragingly, "Willow saw how much working things out meant to me, how I wouldn't let anything stand between us."
Rapunzel looks down sadly. Arianna pulls her face back up towards her, "only you can get through to Cassandra." she then kisses her daughter's cheek.
the princess smiles at that and Pascal squeaks. "she's right Pascal," she tells him, "it's time for the fight of our lives." they climb on their horses and ride onward to the Snuggly Duckling.
Eugene paces back and forth on the tavern floor, "okay, spirits are at an all time low. Think, what would Rapunzel do?"
Varian looks up from his book to watch Eugene, "oh! Got it! Have any of you had a problem you just couldn't solve? One we could sing about, preferably a bouncy tune that makes you forget how bad..." he says, bouncing a confused Ruddiger. Everyone else looks away. Quirin goes so far as to hide his face in embarrassment. "everything... oh, come on! We can't just give up."
Lance pipes up, "yeah! If Eugene can lose an entire kingdom in humiliated defeat and still hold his head up," he blows out his flaming marshmallow, "then so can we."
Eugene stood somewhat insulted before his dad stood up to encourage him, "I'm sure our captain has a plan to victory." he laughs nervously then turns away to think out loud, "poor sap has no idea how doomed we are. Doomed! I tell you!" he picks up his fallen bird, "hold it together Edmund." he inhales and plasters a smile on for Eugene, "I believe in you son."
Eugene stood unconvinced, "thank you for the support dad. Now, come on! There's gotta be a way outta this."
Rapunzel slams open the door, "there is, but there's only one way out and that's through it." behind her came Arianna, willow, Calliope, Stalyan and several of her men. People crowd around the stage as Rapunzel walks up to the piano, "I'm not gonna sugar-coat this. This is the biggest threat we've ever faced."
Eugene nudged Varian, "no offense, Varian."
the alchemist shrugs, "eh."
she begins to play,
"time now to fight
let's turn our losing streak around
rise and unite varian steps forward to play beside her.
let's do what we must do she gets up, leaving him to continue.
If we're to win
we can't turn back or sneak around
once we begin
the only way is through
through she jumps down, sliding across the floor.
through the fire
through the rain then she walks to the parents table, putting her hands on
We'll face whatever the fates may bring her mom's shoulders.
And tear through every wall
through the fear she jumps on the thug's table and pulls out the sword.
through the pain they duck as she swings it.
And as one
we will rise Stan and Pete look at each other.

she looks around the room, stating, "it's not going to be easy, but it's our only option. Who's with me?"
Eugene jumps onto the bar,
"time now to stand"
"let's save our home Fredric holds Rapunzel's hand,
and take it back"
"at your command" Lance shoves Varian off the piano stool, where he's caught by red.
Angry jumps on top, playing a trumpet.
"I'm in!"
"and me"
"me too" the thugs and shorty chime in. shorty falls off the railing.
"onward we ride
who knows if we will make it back" varian adds, riding a horse and playing a tambourine.
"an ally at your side Stalyan sings, snagging the boy's instrument.
Together we come through"

the chandelier crashes to the floor with shorty on it. Everyone charges out the door, ready to fight. Eugene calls out to Quirin and throws him a pitchfork. He catches it and Eugene's heart stops at the brotherhood symbol on his left hand.
"Eugene?" Rapunzel asks, getting his attention.
He smiles at her, "no one can rally the troops like you." and gives her a kiss. "thanks sunshine."
"you're welcome." she smiles back. "huh, you know, after all this time I've never really come up with a cute little nickname for you."
"I have!" Stalyan calls from inside.
"well, I've already got three names, not including that one, and two of them are awful. So, I think we're good." he crosses his arms, "do you really think we stand a chance? Cass has the moonstone and the brotherhood and we got a small army and..." he looks over at shorty who's fighting the dumb crow for a pine cone.
"stop it, you're being rude." the weird old man tells it.
"not to mention Zhan Tiri, I don't think most of us are up to fighting an ancient demon creature."
Varian speaks up, "neither was Lord Demanitis." Eugene and Rapunzel walk over as he explains, "When I was researching the scroll, I found out Demanitis banished Zhan Tiri to some kind of nether world. But, the machine he used to do it with was dismantled centuries ago."
Rapunzel asks, "Can we rebuild it again?"
"If I had the plans, but Demanitis took his only blueprints to his tomb."
Eugene laughs, "let me guess the tomb is thousands of years old and no one knows where it is."
Rapunzel blurts, "well... I wouldn't say no one knows."
Eugene lowers his head and sighs, "I've got a bad feeling about this."
the scene changes. "snow," he growls, "why did it have to be snow!" he yells into the storm.
I'm just going to skip Cass' tantrum. No changes needed.
