The walk home was a quiet one, with both of the twins so exhausted their jaws didn't seem capable of moving. Marluxia didn't even complain when he found his apartment door wasn't locked.

Vexen stepped in after the twins, closing and locking the door behind him. "Do you mind if I share your room again?" Vexen asked Marluxia. "The couch is a little hard on my back."

"Is there enough room for three?" Al asked with a doubtful look at the two. "I ain't sleeping on no couch."

Vexen pouted theatrically. "My hips don't take up that much room," he said.

"What, you won't mind him sharing with us?" Marluxia asked.

"Why would I mind?" asked Vexen, eyes widening with curiosity

Marluxia shrugged. "Just thought you might. But if it's cool, can we go to bed?" he asked, although he was already following Al into the bedroom.

Vexen didn't feel that a response was necessary, so he just followed them to bed, taking off his clothes and folding them neatly in the corner before climbing into the middle of the bed.

"Awh hell no, I'm sleeping between you two. Scoot it, blondie." Al ordered as he tugged off his shirt and jeans and climbed onto the bed. Marluxia followed suit, although took the time to wipe off his make up properly.

"No," Vexen said. "I want to sleep with Marluxia."

"And I said no way. I don't wanna wake up to you two doing it. Move." Al frowned and shoved at Vexen. Marluxia huffed into the pillow he had flopped onto and announced, "If you two don't shut up, I'm going to sleep on top of both of you. And I'm no lightweight. And I kick. "

Vexen shoved back at Al, turned around, and wrapped his arms around Marluxia, mewling quietly to himself.

"Fags." Al said, exasperated. Marluxia ignored him, wrapped an arm around Vexen and flicked off the lamp. "Good night." he mumbled.

"If you'd insisted on sleeping between us, it would have been you I was humping in my sleep," Vexen mumbled at Al before closing his eyes and nestling into Marluxia.

Al actually felt a little sick at the idea of that, but said nothing. He was wiped, and asleep in minutes, just like his brother. And they both indeed kicked in their sleep.

Vexen had fallen into too deep a sleep to feel it. It wasn't a peaceful sleep at all but one fraught with nightmares with Marluxia and a facially-scarred man he didn't know. He clung to Marluxia in his sleep and cried.

Marluxia was a light sleeper. He stirred when Vexen nestled closer to him, and sat up slowly when he noticed he was crying. "Hey, Vex'? Wake up."

Vexen made a noise of complaint as he woke up.

"Are you alright?" Marluxia asked quietly. Al rolled over and snored a little, but didn't wake up. Marluxia dapped at Vexen's eyes with the sheet. "You're crying..."

"Nightmares," Vexen said meekly. "You were in them and... and a man I don't know." He buried his face in Marluxia's chest

Marluxia pulled him closer and nuzzled against his hair. "It's okay, love. It was just a dream." he cooed. "Do you think you can get back to sleep?"

Vexen shivered and cuddled into Marluxia. "I might," he said softly. "Do you know him, though? My height, but with longer, streaked hair?"

Marluxia glanced up at the ceiling, then back at Vexen and shook his head. "No. You probably just made him up. Go back to sleep."

Vexen nodded and closed his eyes, pressing harder against Marluxia

Marluxia lay back down, pulled the sheets up to Vexen's shoulders and while stroking Vexen's hair, fell back asleep.

Vexen slept more soundly this time, enjoying being petted. He slept through the night without any more trouble.

Al was the first to awaken the following morning, and he woke in am extremely good mood. Doing his best not to disturb the two that slept on, he went off to the kitchen to start breakfast. However, he wasn't a quiet cook.

Vexen woke up to the sounds of banging metal, glass, and other stuff. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. "Nnngh," he mumbled.

"I'm ignoring him." Marluxia mumbled, without even opening his eyes. "He is not here. I am asleep."

Vexen petted Marluxia gently and kissed him on the forehead.

The pinket groaned and looked up at Vexen, reaching up to brush stray hairs from his face. "Hey, if we're really quiet, I reckon we can grab my money and escape out the window and he'll never notice."

"Hopefully you still have some money left," Vexen whispered.

"I do." Marluxia smiled, leaning up to kiss Vexen. "You know, I was really hoping I had just gone mad last night when you said he was here. I mean, Alrumia never even has enough money for the bus, how the hell did he get the money for a plane ticket?" Marluxia laughed a little dryly, then sighed and combed his hair back with his fingers.

"Let's go back to my place," said Vexen, cuddling Marluxia. "He must have really wanted to get here. I wonder why?"

"Yeah..." Marluxia's eyebrows furrowed for a moment. "Maybe he's in trouble with the police? I don't think I wanna know..."

"Should we try to help or assume that he's an adult and can take care of himself?" asked Vexen

"Assuming anything with him is a bad idea." Marluxia said, stretching beneath Vexen and sighing. "He'll tell me eventually. He always does."

Vexen got up. "I want to take him back to my place too," he reminded Marluxia.

"Why?" Marluxia sat up, finally coming to grips with the fact that he was awake, and going back to sleep was not an option.

"I don't know. I just have the urge to," said Vexen.

Marluxia pulled a face, but said nothing more on the subject. "It's quiet. I think he's done cooking. He's a wicked cook, best not waste it."

Vexen nodded and pulled on his jeans, not bothering with his turtleneck. He headed to the kitchen. "What's for breakfast?" he asked.

"Finally given up on thinking up ways to get rid of me, eh?" Al grinned at Vexen from his seat at the bench. "Whatever you want, man. I made a bit of everything."

"You knew what I was thinking?" Vexen was amazed.

Al simply grinned wider. "It's all people ever do when I'm around."

"I wonder why," said Vexen teasingly, taking a piece of bacon and chewing on it.

"Well, it ain't coz I'm a shit cook. And use a bloody plate." Al said, gesturing at Vexen to take a seat. Down the hall, the shower could be heard running.

Vexen thought of saying he didn't eat much, but then realised it would contradict the fib he'd told last night about having a huge appetite. He took a plate and piled it high with bacon, eggs, and toast. "You're not a bad cook," he said. "Anyway, I thought maybe today you and Marluxia could come over to my place and meet my roommate."

"I'm better than Mar. He just makes everything look fancier." Al returned, and gnawed at his toast. "And shit, I still have to tell him why I'm here. Meet and greets might needa wait."

Vexen nodded, nibbling his toast. "Why are you homophobic?" he asked.

"I ain't scared of gays." Alrumia said bluntly. "That'd be like being scared of my own twin. 'Sides, I swing that way after enough beers."

"But you look down on me for being gay, don't you?" Vexen asked, confused by Al's words and actions the previous night in contrast with what he was saying now.

"I look down at you coz you're bangin' my bro and I ain't see anything about you yet that makes you worthy. And I like to tease." Al grinned.

Vexen's eyes filled with tears. He sniffled and pushed his plate away. Part of him said he was taking Al more seriously than he ought to, but damn it, that had really hurt his feelings.

"Oh hell, what the fuck are you crying for?" Al asked, frowning at the blond. He didn't know what to do about crying.

"I'm not," Vexen squeaked, holding back his tears. As always, the room grew a touch colder.

"Sure, and I ain't drugfucked." Al scoffed. He slipped off his seat and went over to Vexen. He wasn't sure what else to do from there. "What's wrong?"

Vexen shook his head. "I think I love him," he blurted out before he could stop himself. He sniffed again.

Al seemed rather dumbstruck for a moment. "... Well. Fuck me. Look at that, yer worthy."

Vexen looked up at Al. "But you just said I wasn't," he reminded Al, confused.

"Yeah, but you love him and junk, right?"

"Yes," Vexen whispered. "I don't know shit about who I am except that I love him." He wiped his eyes on the back of his hand.

"Great, well. If you could tell him that, and then that his dad is dead, you'll save me a helluva nasty job." Al said, and clapped Vexen on the back.

"I'll tell him when he gets out of the shower," Vexen promised. "I'm sorry for both of your loss."

Al shrugged. "I didn't care much for him, to be honest, and I'm sure ma would've told him herself but, well. Guess she prefers her druggie thief rather than her gay hooker. Thanks man."

"Your mom sounds like a twat," Vexen said frankly.

"Yeah, but she still wants us to go see her." he grinned, although it was a little more like a grimace. "That should go down with Mar like a cup of cold sick."

"May I go with you?" Vexen asked.

"Why the fuck not? She lives two cities over." Al said as he took his seat again. "Road trip!"

Vexen pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed home. "Hi, Zexion? I'm going with Marluxia and his brother to meet their mother and then I thought we'd come back to my place."
