"You really are showing that you do not care about your sister, James," Crawford says.




"That's funny coming from the man who tried to put my little sister in jail." James grabs Ecklie and aims the gun at his head.




"If you shoot the mayor, you will get capital punishment, you already have multiple crimes under your belt."




"The last person to get it was John Mathers. I highly doubt I would receive it."




Meanwhile in the living room.




"Don't you dare leave this room Sara." Grissom whispers.




"I can't lose anyone else due to the violence of my family." Suddenly a gunshot rings as Grissom reaches towards Sara to keep her from running outside.




"You bastards, you shot me!" James screams at Crawford and Vartann. Ecklie kicks the gun that fell from James' hand away from him as Crawford comes forward.




"James Sidle, you are under arrest for the kidnapping and assault of Sara Sidle, attepmted murder of Sherrif Conrad Ecklie, and more to be determined as evidence arises from your signicant other's arrest. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you can't afford one, one will be provided for you."




During the arrest Vartann called for medical, "We have a suspect shot at 421 Waltson Ave."




Sara, Grissom, and Lindsey come out after they hear James get arrested. Grissom is trying to stand in front of the two women, but they aren't letting him.




"James, I can't believe all that you have done recently."




"Oh, come on Sara, you really have a difficult time believing all of this, I never got to experience love."




"James, I loved you. You protect me through everything." An ambulance pulls up so James' knee can get treated before being booked.




Two weeks later




James and Patrice are awaiting trial together, and their only visitor is their new lawyer Maia Ryndell.




"Where is Blum?"




"He can't get a license to practice here due to everything that went down last year in Chicago with Reddick Bosman and Lockhart." Maia sits down, "I understand that you want his ruthlessness, but I basically threw my godmother under the bus and she was the only person to convince people to give me a chance after my father and mother did to the people of Chicago, and ostracized my best friends and kissed my friend even though I knew she only went for men."




"Fine, you can represent me and Patrice."




"Mr. Sidle, I can only represent one of you. I can get hold of another lawyer to represent your girlfriend."




"Get one that won't let her cut a deal and squeal on me."




"I will try my best to get exactly that for her. Now, how about we discuss the charges brought against you, and the ones that the CSIs have since getting your fingerprints on eight crime scenes."




"They were planted." James scoffs.




"They will say that since most of them look like Sara and one looks like your mother and one looks like your father."




"Puh.lease. That isn't true."




"James, you shouldn't tell me that you committed these crimes. The DA will talk about how DNA was found on the bodies and the fingerprints was found on the murder weapon at all the scenes. Now, while I do have a strategy to get you off, there is no way I can control the other lawyer."




"As long as I get off I will be fine." James gets up from his chair as a guard comes in as their time is up. Maia goes to her hotel and tries to find a lawyer that owes Blum a favor, but can't find one.
