*I emerged from the darkness, smiling.*
Me: Hello everyone and welcome to the 68th chapter of my second new Misc. Anime Story!
*The lights then turns on to see Yakito in his racing form.*
Yakito: It feels a bit weird and awkward to be on the stage without either of the Supras on the stage.
Me: That's because they are wrecked for now so they won't appear.
Yakito *gasping angrily*: You wrecked them?!
Me: I mean in this story! Not off-screen of course.
Yakito: Hhhhhmmmmpphhhh...
*I sighed in relief for a bit while Yakito sighed but kept a eye on me.*
Me: Before we start this chapter, I would like to first thank you all so much for supporting us by favoriting and following me as well as my other stories.
Yakito: And since it's a Misc. Anime story, it's a complete OC's story. Therefore he owns the OCs and no one can use them without his permission.
Me: Indeed and now, let's get to the 68th chapter of my second ever Misc. Anime story. Enjoy :)
Yakito: We are gonna have to switch on the torch lights again?
Me: Bear it for a while pretty please?
*Yakito nodded as both of us switched on the torch lights before moving it towards the screen.*
Chapter 68: Catching Up with the others.
The case is finally over. The case which literally had the Osaka people and Yakito's friends and family revolting against Yamachiro and his Musashini Organization is finally over. After countless of stealing sports cars, racing etc, it had finally culminated with Yamachiro and his father locked away for good and the Musashini Empire collapsed. There are rumors though that they might be transferred to Tokyo to face further charges but we will have to see. The government and the police force are working to return the stolen cars back to its rightful owners. While everyone is glad that it is finally over, one person literally had to take a toll because of that case.
Yakito is sitting in his chair with thoughts raining down around his head. What a wild ride it had been on that case. It literally had to take everyone he knows involved to put an end to it with Yakito doing the finishing touches. The 'suicidal' finishing touches that left everyone worried and scared when he got admitted to the hospital.
It came at the costs. His two beloved Supras, which he has driven all his life, were wrecked and after the court delivered the punishment to Yamachiro and his father, he went to access the damage of his two Supras and he was really shocked by it. While the Police Supra was damaged because of the wreck he did to the F40, it was nothing compared to the damage of the Yellow Supra. That high speed collision did wonders on it. The front bumper was totally destroyed and the iconic headlights were gone. One mirror is barely holding on and the engine placement is totally bended. It would take awhile for them to fix it and Yakito had to list the specs he used for the car and give it to them. Looking at the damage, it was a miracle that Yakito was able to escape with minor injuries compared to Yamachiro who is paralyzed for life. As someone said to him that the Supra had sacrificed itself to protect him by going all out on that high speed head to head collision, he wondered if this was true.
He also always wondered whether doing what he did in the Supra's final moments was the right choice. No street racer, not even from the Yanks, would dare to do such a thing especially when facing the cops. The cops might have thought the same thing too. Side collisions are alright but head to head collisions are always dangerous and deadly.
Yet he did it anyway. He ACTUALLY did it and it had a huge reward though. Yamachiro is paralyzed as a result and he and his father are locked in jail therefore Yamachiro won't be able to touch the steering wheels again nor get in his way between him and Yuka but it had costs though: His Yellow Supra got wrecked, he had seriously worried his lover, friends, brother and parents when he was taken to the hospital, everybody agreed what Yakito did was really suicidal and reckless with him being suspended from police duties for 1 and a half month and there will be a black spot on his record to remind himself that he must never do it ever again and the amount that Yamachiro and his father didn't have to pay covered Yakito's fine. At least he had the city of Osaka coming and cheering for him after everything was over.
As Yakito sighed and rests his head on the table, he heard someone calling him:
"Everything okay Ta-kun?"
Yakito turned to look at Yuka, his childhood lover. Yuka is staying overnight at his place to comfort and support him and she is going to do what she can to help him and Yakito couldn't help but be very grateful for her presence that he had to be honest.
"Honestly no." Yakito sighed, "I'm constantly trying to fight my thoughts on whether I did the right thing by doing that head to head collision. I had seriously worried you all. I wish that there could have been other ways to stop him."
"I agree. That head to head collision with him was very suicidal that you had no idea what could have become of me if I had lost you." Yuka said as she hugged him from behind and pat his blue hair, "But if you think about it, it was good at least. He won't be able to drive again, create terror on us again nor get in between us again. He and others are in jail now."
"Yuka..."
"Speaking about that, I had a talk with his father. No doubt he was still a criminal but what really surprised me is him apologizing for his son's treatment towards me which led to the events that had occurred and he wished that he could have done something to stop it. He might have founded that organization which was responsible for stealing sports cars but he had some humanity on him at least and this is not even the case of like father, like son. He also told me to be happy with you before he went back to his prison cell."
"I see."
"Oh and by the way, Sakura was finally able to get her Acura NSX back and boy you have no idea how happy she was."
"I see. That's good to hear."
Hearing that one of her friends was able to get her car back cheered him up at least but then he remembered that the Chief's old friend Impreza was also stolen in front of him. He then sighed for a bit.
"What am I supposed to do now for 1 and a half month?" Yakito asked as he sighed.
"There are a lot of things that can be done." Yuka said as she is still hugging him from behind, "We can go on dates and stuff, catch up with your friends, check the condition of your two cars, riding on my Evo and so many other things that can be done."
Upon hearing that, Yakito smiled.
"Yeah. I rather be doing those than moping around here." Yakito said.
"It will be okay." Yuka said as she patted his blue hair before kissing him on the cheeks then on the lips, "I love you."
"Same here to you Yuka."
During the few days
Police Station:
"What's that noise?" Mark asked as he could see several police officers cheering.
"That could only mean one thing." The Chief smiled as Yakito enters into his office while wearing his casual clothes, "Come in boy and have a seat."
Yakito nodded and took a seat as he sighed.
"How is your recovery?" Mark asked.
"Pretty good. Hopefully they will remove my bandages soon." Yakito said.
"That's good to hear mate."
"But even so, you won't be able to join us for a while now and there is a black spot on your police record now." The Chief said.
Yakito nodded and sadly sighed as the three of them reflected on that Musashini criminal Empire case.
"That case really took a toll on me I might admit." Yakito said, "He basically went after everyone whom I care about the moment he arrived in Osaka."
"Yeah. Not to mention that you wrecked both of your precious Supras." Mark said.
"Especially that head to head collision that you did which made both of you land in the hospital." The Chief said, "Seriously. You really had us worried there. Don't do that ever again cause not only it's risky but it's suicidal as well."
"Yes Chief." Yakito sighed.
"I'm still amazed as to how your injuries were pale compared to Yamachiro's one where he's paralyzed for life." Mark said.
"Everyone's saying that the Supra sacrificed itself to protect me by taking most of the damage."
"I find it hard to believe that cars will actually have feelings for the driver."
They all chuckled a bit before the Chief said:
"At least the case is finally over. All it needs to be done now is to give back the cars back to its original owners."
"Speaking about that, how's your friend's condition?" Yakito asked.
"Oh you will be glad to know that he got released last night and nothing serious happened to him. Also I have a big surprise for him but I guess you know what that could be right?"
Yakito smiled as he nodded before he asked:
"What about you Mark? The Australian cars and its owners?"
"Don't worry mate. We got it covered." Mark said, "When the Tokyo Police Force and the SWAT team broke into their headquarters or main base, they discovered that the stolen sports cars were surprisingly organized in a nice way which shows which countries that were stolen from. It was easy to figure it out where our Aussie sports and race cars are. I got in contact with the embassy and now they are preparing to move them to Australia so that the original owners can claim them back."
"I see. Glad to hear it. Planning to stay here for a while?"
"You bet. I have always wanted to come here."
"So what are you going to do now?" The Chief asked.
"Catch up with a lot of people. That's what I am gonna do and Yuka told me to do." Yakito said in which they smiled, "Tell your friend that I congratulate him on his successful release from the hospital."
"Will do. Thanks Yakito."
An hour and a half later
Café:
"You are going to remove everything about him?" Yakito asked in surprise.
"That's what we are planning to do but I'm not sure." The principal sighed.
Shortly after he talked with the Chief and Mike, Yakito took a little walk where many people greeted and cheered for him. He then went to a café where everyone welcomed him with open arms and the maids were very generous with offering him discounts in which Yakito politely declined but he did accept some of them and while he was eating, he saw the principal and waved at him. The principal spotted him and joined him at the table where they talked about Yakito's recovery and how the school is doing. That later part however got the principal in a bit of a sad mood.
"To be honest with you, I'm in a real conflict right now." The principal said, "He did so much for us but in the light of the recent events, the board of directors were involved in a very heated discussion as to whether they should completely remove everything about him or remove part of him."
"I see. It seems that they want to avoid being on the same situation like what had happened during the murder cases that had happened on the warehouse." Yakito said.
"Yes. It's really a shame though. He could have become someone Japan can be proud of but nope. He had to become a bad guy who had several sports cars stolen and was even worse than his dad from what I heard from the television."
"Yeah..."
"Yakito. Can I ask you a bit of a personal question?"
"What is it?"
"Was his and Yuka's romance the reason why you went into a slump during your first year?"
Silence occurred for a moment in which Yakito remembered the depressive moments that had happened to him when he and Zen found them kissing which shattered Yakito's heart. Remembering that, Yakito nodded and sighed before saying:
"She was my childhood friend or more like a childhood crush you can say. She always liked me but when she was in Tokyo, she and her parents got into a car accident which made her lose her memories about me. She returned back to Osaka but as a completely different person. I later found out about what had happened to her after I had found them kissing at the school roof."
"Ah now I understand." The principal said as he was sad to hear about it but then he said, "Cheer up though. It's all in the past. You have become Osaka's favorite son and Yuka is back with you so everything is okay now."
"Yeah. I agree." Yakito said as both he and principal smiled before he asked, "How's Igayashi, Yuzo, Mia and Suzu doing?"
"They are doing fine from what I am seeing." The principal said, "Ah. Young love."
Yakito couldn't help but chuckle a bit before they continued to talk about other stuff.
Between Evening and Night:
"Sakura is all over the moon when her Acura NSX returned." Motoki said before smiling, "Can't be helped though."
"Some of our crew members are still waiting for their cars to return." The Mohawker leader said while his dog barked, "I hope they can find their cars."
"Same here."
"What happened to you two? Us Blackstars crew got their cars back already." Ryoko said in which both of them gasped as he teased them a bit, "Maybe you guys became infamous now."
The Mohawker leader groaned while Motoki pouted at Ryoko as she sighed before Yakito said:
"Guys. Come down. They are just at the beginning process now. There are a lot more cars to come and get identified so there's still hope." Yakito said, "Don't you guys give up."
"You are right. They are just at the beginning so there's still a chance for my crew to get their cars back." The Mohawker leader said.
"If Sakura was able to get her car back, then there's still hope remaining." Motoki said in which everyone nodded.
"When will you hit the streets again Yakito?" The cool nerdy Blackstars member asked, "We miss racing with you."
"Cool it there." Ryoko said, "He might be lucky to have survived such a horrific head to head collision but he still needs time to recover and how can you expect him to race when his Yellow Supra is wrecked badly?"
"Oh. That's right. Sorry about that!"
"Wish you a strong recovery." A female Blackstars member said.
"Yeah. You are our hero!" Another Blackstars member said happily.
"Gee. Thanks guys." Yakito said.
"So what are you planning to do tonight?" The Mohawker leader asked.
"I'm just going to have a fun drive in the Holden vehicles with Zen-san and John-san."
Everyone is surprised and some are a bit shocked.
"Whoa hold it right there brother!" Ryoko said sternly, "How are you going to be driving right now when you are in your recovery process? Won't it be dangerous? Some flashbacks might occur if you go too fast now."
"It's okay. We will just drive at a steady pace. Plus it might feel good to be back at the steering wheel again after a while." Yakito said, "I did mention Zen-san haven't I? He's part of your crew."
"Well I do trust him that's for certain. I just hope that there won't be any side effects on you."
"I'll be fine."
"Um can I ask you a favor?" Motoki asked in which Yakito nodded, "I know I played a big role in getting Yuka and Yamachiro close which has become the biggest mistake and biggest regret that I will have to live for the rest of my life and I was helpless to save her when she was moved to Tokyo and was treated harshly there along with Yuzo. She even broke her marriage with him with her willpower. I sometimes wonder whether I was a terrible friend to her and whether they could have been some other way to save her but she did tell me not to worry cause she knows whom she is interested with. So all I ask you is...please take care of her and Yuzo. I know that they will both make you happy."
Silence occurred for a moment before Yakito nodded and said:
"You can leave it to me."
Night:
"A toast to our hero mate who, along with all of us, ended the reign of terror of cars getting stolen all over the world including Australia." John said, "This is for you Yakito."
"Cheers!" Yakito, Zen, John and Cindy said as the boys drank the Gatoride Energy drink while Cindy is eating the leaves.
They have just returned from going around the Hanshin Circular Line with their Holden vehicles. However, unlike the previous times, they had decided to drive at a steady pace so as to not aggravate Yakito if they drive too fast since he's in the recovery process. Yakito, nevertheless, felt great to have his hands on the steering wheel again and he truly enjoyed the ride. On their ride though, several other racers rode with them to greet Yakito before riding away. Overall, it was a great experience.
"So I heard from Ryoko that your recovery progress is going well." Zen said.
"Yeah and it's even better when I get my hands on the steering wheel." Yakito said, "Thanks mates."
"Hey. You are the hero now." Cindy said, "The Street Racer Cop Hero."
"True. I got a bunch of messages from some popular Aussie people, from the Japanese embassy in Canberra and from the Aussie embassy in Tokyo." John said, "They all wanted to thank you and said that you are always welcome with open arms."
"Oh nice. Tks." Yakito smiled.
"How's the repair of your cars?" Cindy asked.
"Did you see the damage of the Yellow Supra?" Zen asked in which Cindy gulped, "It's gonna take a few months to get it fixed."
"The Police Supra, on the other hand, won't take long to get back to its full condition again." John said.
Cindy nodded as they become silent for a while before she said:
"You had us worried there you know?"
"I'm well aware of it." Yakito sighed.
"That guy was a coward from running away from his own deal but what were you thinking when you were about to go on a head to head collision?" Zen asked, "You left me shaking my sneakers ya know mate."
"I know sorry but it was the only way."
"Mates Mates. Let's forget about that now. It's over and they are in jail. We won't see them again." John said in which everybody nodded as they realized it, "Let's talk something positive."
They nodded and smiled before John asked:
"So how's the marriage set up between you and Yuka going?"
"I'm not even on the age to get married and you are already talking about me getting married?" Yakito asked as he blushed red in cheeks in which the Aussies laughed.
"At least propose to her mate. There's no age limit on that right?" Zen asked.
"True. From what I heard from him, you and Yuka seem to be childhood friends and both of you promised to be upgraded to childhood lovers and romance but then something happened in which I will rather not get into that." John said, "But now with that bloody bastard out of the way, you and Yuka will be destined to be together forever and ever."
"Well yeah. That's true..." Yakito said as he is still blushing.
"We just want to see you happy with her." Cindy said, "And besides we have got a song for you."
"You guys do?" Yakito asked in which John and Zen nodded.
"Indeed mate." Zen said, "The music is from the Land Down Under though."
"With our own lyrics." John said, "Roll on the music!"
And so the music 'Land Down Under' began playing with Cindy singing at first:
Meeting a boy from Osaka.
John followed suit by singing:
His blue hair and eyes sparkles us
Zen came next and sang:
I asked, "Hey there mate. Do you recognize us?"
Then Cindy, John and Zen sang together these lyrics:
He looked at us and gave us an awe look
And he said!
Now it was Yakito's turn:
You mates come from a land down under!
(Ooh yeah yeah) *Sang by Zen*
And then they all sang together:
Together we form the Aussie Power
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover
Oh Yeah!
And so they continued singing those lyrics for a while. It was a truly great experience for Yakito and he knows that he has people who can always back him up.
Yuka's house:
"You seem ready to do this then." Yuzo said.
"Yep. Hopefully, we can free ourselves from our dark past and look into a bright future." Yuka said as she prepares her plan, "It also gives me a chance to amend my mistakes I have made in the past even though I had amnesia and, after hearing what had happened to Ta-kun from Zen-san, I feel like this is necessary for me to fix my mistakes and be with him through the red strings of fate."
"Oh man you are really brave." Igayashi said, "I would be a chicken if I try to do it to Yuzo-chan."
"Hey don't say that!" Yuzo said as she pinched Igayashi's cheeks in which they all chuckled.
"Are you going to do it now?" Mia asked.
"Not tonight because he's catching up with a lot of people who were worried about him." Yuka said, "I'll just leave him a text message saying to meet me tomorrow night when he is all done."
"Don't you think it's a bit too quick to do that?" Suzu asked, "I mean, after all, he is..."
"I know and I know what to say to him. Don't worry about that."
"We are so proud of you." Yuka's mother smiled as she hugged her, "I think we had already given you our blessing right?"
"Yes mother. Thank you."
"You want us to tell that to his parents?" Yuka's dad asked.
"I will let you know soon father."
"Okay."
Yuka then nodded as she looks at the object she is going to give to Yakito.
"Get ready for a surprise of your life Ta-kun." Yuka thought as she smiled and chuckled a bit.
*Soon the torch lights are off and I turned on the real lights.*
Me: Well that's the end of the 68th chapter.
*Yakito switches off the torch light.*
Yakito *stretching himself*: Ah! Feels great for now! So many people were worried about me. I am touched.
Me: Of course. They all care about you. Why wouldn't they?
Yakito: Many for plenty of reasons.
*Both of us laughed for a while before we slowly stopped laughing.*
Me: Anyway fellow readers. I've got an announcement to make.
Yakito: Oh? What is it?
Me: Well you and the others will have to find that out when the next chapter will arrive within a week or a week and half as always so don't miss it!
Yakito: Oh Man! Don't leave us hanging around for the announcement.
Me: It's after the end of the next chapter! I promise!
Yakito: Fine. Whatever you say. *Sighs for a bit* And until then, please review and like this and his other stories as well as following and favouriting him.
Me: Indeed so, till the next chapter comes, see you soon so...
Yakito: Sayonara!
Me: Farewell!
*We wave our hands before Yakito thought for a moment.*
Yakito *thought for a moment before he gasped*: Wait a second. Could the announcement be...
*I pulled him out of the screen.*
