Sometime later, Newt was meeting up with Dumbledore at Hogwarts. He entered the headmaster's office even though Dumbledore is not supposed to be headmaster yet. However, we already have the Dumbledore's office set, and we're going to use it.
"Bures boahtin," said Dumbledore, wearing a gákti because it turns out he's been Sami all along and it just hasn't been mentioned. This is canon now.
Newt took a seat and explained everything that had just happened, even though Dumbledore probably already knew about it all because he's Dumbledore. As he talked, Pickett fiddled with Newt's buttons. Bet you thought we forgot about Pickett, didn't you? Well, turns out we didn't, so there.
"So, in the end," said Newt with a heroic sigh, "nothing I did made any difference. Everything is back the way it was at the beginning of the story."
"Well, we are hoping to avoid contradicting the upcoming Fantastic Beasts 3 too much," said Dumbledore. "Besides, the Toenail of Icklibõgg was destroyed. Was that not a victory?"
"Yeah, but my brother did that. I didn't accomplish anything."
Dumbledore considered it. "I guess you didn't. Oh, well. At least we all had another adventure, right?"
