Luke's POV:

The sunlight creeped threw the window. I buried my face into the pillow. I hated waking up early. I tried to sleep for 5 more minutes. But as soon as 5 minutes were done, the alarm woke me up.

"Turn off your alarm!" Leo groaned. His face was still in his pillow. I got off my bed and turned it off. To annoy him a little, I loudly yawned right next to him. He finally took his face out of his pillow and annoyance was written all over his face. I couldn't help but laugh at him.

"I'm going to take a shower. You better be up when I come out." I say to him.

He mumbles a quick okay before dramatically dropping himself back into the bed.

Once I come out of the shower, I expect Leo to still be in bed. To my surprise, he was actually out of it.

Leo noticed the surprised expression on my face and said, "What? I also plan on being on time."

"Yeah well I set my alarm 15 minutes earlier so I thought you would go back to sleep." I said. That was my thinking. If I had set an alarm earlier, he would probably still be sleeping when I got out of the shower.

"And you wanted me to sleep on because... Oh wait I think I know. To see your girlfriend!" he says mockingly.

"Mia's not my girlfriend." I say, defending myself.

"I never said that it was Mia."

"You literally just said that!"

"No, I never said that Mia was your girlfriend. I just used a COMMON NOUN not the PROPER NOUN Mia."

I replayed the events which just happened and realized what he said.

"Anyway, yes you are partially correct. I am going to see Mia but not because she's my girlfriend. She said she had something to show me."

"Fine, then I am coming with you." Leo said.

"No!"

"Yes!" Determination was in Leo's eyes.

"Okay look, let me ask her if it's okay."

"Fine! Now let me get ready for class."

He scrambled to the shower while I headed towards Mia and Anja's room. I knock on the door. I hear one of them mumble "Coming!". Mia opens the door. Lack of sleep was evident in her eyes. Her hair was thrown up into a messy bun with sweatpants and a cardigan which was resting loosely on the inner parts of her elbows (I think this is why I don't usually tell what they are wearing! I am awful at describing things )

"You wanted to talk to me?" I asked, wondering where this conversation would end up.

"Oh right! Sorry I forgot. Uhh, how about after class?"

"Ok. Plus is it okay if Leo joins us because he is not leaving me about the fact that we were going to have a talk." I say.

I am guessing she saw the pleading look in my eyes.

"Yeah, whatever."

"Okay, I will see you later," I said.

As I was walking out of the room, I was thinking, "Why did that conversation end up feeling so awkward?"

Once I arrived back, I checked my phone to look at the time. It was 7:27 A.M.

"How was your trip from your girlfriend?" Leo said, emphasizing the girlfriend in a taunting way.

"For the hundredth time she isn't my girlfriend."

"So will I be allowed to join you guys in your chat or will you two be spending that time kissing each other?"

"Grow up, Luke! And she said you could come. We didn't talk yet cause she forgot and was half asleep at the time."

"Or maybe she was awake but just wanted to make it look to you that she just woke up as scientific research has proven that boys think that girls look cutest when they just wake up."

"Really now? Who did that scientific research?" I say sarcastically.

"Me!" he said proudly.

"Get a life!"

"Fine I will stop interfering with your personal life for the time being. By the way, did you do your homework?"

"Wait... we had homework?" I said, looking at him all confused.

"Yeah the boring 20 question math work. You forgot didn't you?"

I rushed and grabbed my folder only to find it empty. That's when Leo starting laughing so hard.

"The panic on your face was priceless. We don't have any homework."

I gave him a death stare.

"Seriously! You just wasted 5 minutes!"

"You're welcome!" he said with a huge grin.

Leo and I then headed out to get breakfast. We met up with Anja, Mia, and others. Today we got pancakes and chocolate milk.

"You know, this is one of the benefits of coming here and not going to regular school," said Aaron, another boy part of our class.

"What is the benefit?" Mia asks.

"The cafeteria food actually tastes good unlike normal school food," Aaron says.

"Now that's something I have to agree on," says Leo.

Mia's POV:

I listened to Aaron talk about how the food tastes good. I secretly agreed that. Aaron and I had gone to the same school and the food wasn't really good there.

"I have an idea. Why don't we have a roast battle till class?" Aaron suggests.

While everyone else nodding there heads and are agreeing to the idea, I say , "Oh my gosh Aaron! Please no! I really don't want to play this again."

They all stared at the two of us when I said "again".

"What? Aaron and I went to the same school and were in the same class in 4th grade. Every single day, he would have a roast battle with one of my best friends. I have heard too many of his awful roasts," I say.

"What are you too scared, Mama Mia?" Aaron asks.

I seriously hated that nickname.

"You sure you really want to challenge me after yesterday? And you know what, it's on!"

Just when we were about to start, guess who decided to show up to stop our argument.

Owen!

"Okay look, leave your personal issues behind and don't start arguing. Do you know why?"

We both shake our heads.

"Because you 2 will be put together for assignments for the rest of the day."

We both groan.

"Now I suggest that all of you head to class," said Owen.

We scrambled to the gym for P.E.
