"Kyanite!" Onyx chased after Kyanite as she ran across the sandy plane. Onyx shifted into a beautiful jet black mare, and continued after Kya as a mare.

"Onyx! That's cheating!" Kyanite yelled as she sped up running from a thousand pound animal.

The sand flying back at her heels as Onyx cantered after her.

Onyx shifted back into a human her black, flowy, sun dress shimmering behind her. The flower crown made entirely of black roses slide onto the side of the head. Her bare feet kicked the sand behind her.

"Come get me!" Kyanite continued to run as Onyx pulled out her bow.

"Try me!" Onyx laughed as she pulled an arrow out of her quiver and shot it onto a nearby tree limb. A string trailed after the arrow, and retracted towards the tree limb the arrow was embedded in. Onyx held onto the bow like a zipline and landed on the tree limb. She jumped down in front of Kyanite and tagged her shoulder.

"Ha I win." Onyx smiled as Kyanite pushed Onyx down into the sand. Onyx grabbed Kyanite's hand and pulled her down into the sand. They landed in a heap of giggles.

"Onyx!" Kyanite yelled as she pinned her friend down.

"What!" Onyx tried to push Kyanite's shoulders away but gave up enjoying the sparkle in Kyanite's eyes. Onyx lost herself in those rough blue eyes. Her eyes looked like oceans, every detail was promnite. The frothy waves crashing against the surface.

"Hey come on. What are you staring at?" Onyx exited her thoughts and pushed Kyanite over and ran from her.

"Onyx!" Kyanite pushed herself up from the sand and chased after Onyx.

Onyx ran faster than she had in awhile. Being in Kyanite's presence made her feel powerful.

Onyx continued to run, any problems she had left her. They floated away from her.

"Onyx! Get back here!" Kyanite ran faster now. She basically galloped over the sandy surface. Onyx ran into the woods and swiftly navigated through the brambles. Kyanite however got her foot caught in a vine and tripped.

Onyx noticed immediately and turned around. Their hair shortened into a pixie cut that made them hard to recognize.

"Kyanite!" Onyx ran swiftly jumping over vines and bushes. Every worry she had before came pounding back on their skull.

"Oh my goodness! Your gem, is it cracked?!" Onyx knelt beside their friend rapidly checking every part of her body for injuries.

"I am fine Nyxie." Onyx pursed their lips. They hated being called Nyxie but let it slide in the moment.

"Kyanite your gem, is it cracked?" Kyanite looked down at her arm. Her gem was in perfect condition. It still looked like a rough, arctic ocean. Waves crashing against the surface.

"You need to be more careful." Onyx replied.

"Me more careful, I think you mean Onyx you should worry less. Anyways I'm going home." Kyanite replied.

"You don't have a home, you live on the streets." Onyx replied jokingly.

"Don't pretend you have it better Mrs-"

"Mx now sorry." Onyx apologized.

"Hey." Kyanite grabbed Onyx's hands and faced them.

"Never, never, never apologize for your dysphoria. Ok?" Kyanite stared into Onyx's eyes apprehensively.

"Ok Nyxie?" Kyanite pushed.

"Don't call me that." Onyx laughed as they pushed Kyanite away.

"Come on you know you like it!" Kyanite teased.

"Get lost!" Onyx laughed.

"Bye Onyx. See you tomorrow?" Kyanite asked.

"Yeah bye!" Onyx yelled as they dispersed.
