Chapter 1

''My name is Aki Harukasa 16 years old.. Pleased to meet you." The girl bowed politely. The teacher nodded and assigned her seat near the window.

The girl with the black hair and Hazel nut eyes passed the familiar energetic boy who loves Volleyball. Hinata woke up in his daydream and glance at her while she sat at the vacant seat behind him.

'A transferee? I didn't see her coming!' Hinata thought glancing at her last time.

'He's looking here again.. What's wrong with that boy?' Aki thought while eating her lunch. She picked up some sushi and stuffed it on her mouth.

"Hello there! My name is Shoyou Hinata! Mind if I join you What's your name by the way?" He grinned at her she only nodded and he moved his table infront of hers.

"I already said my Name earlier," She said looking at him. He laughed and scratched the back of his head.

"Sorry! I'm not paying attention, " He said between his laugh.

"I see, Whatever you're thinking it must be important then?" She said picking some strawberry in her lunch box.

"Yeah! Volleyball is my life!" He said raising both of his arms in the air, she suddenly stopped eating and stared at her lunch box.

'What a nightmare.. Still following me here.' she thought memories of the past flashes on her eyes.

Hinata seems to notice her silence. "Hey.. You okay?" He asked curiously while waving his hand infront of her.

"I'm fine... Sorry about that.." She said while she picked another fruit in her lunch box.

"What's your name? You haven't told me your name yet!" Hinata said with a grin plastered on his face.

Aki sighed she looked at him studying his features. 'He's too short to be a player.. A Libero maybe?' she thought. 'A bag full of energy.. Definitely..'

"Oi! Hinata you dumbass! Daichi said we need to meet at the gym after lunch." A black haired hot tempered boy said.

"Ah! Sorry I forgot! See ya later-"

"Aki Harukasa.." She interrupted him and he smiled at her while arranging his table. He picked up his bag and ran towards the door with the black haired man waiting impatiently.

"Nice to meet you Haru-chan!" he said and then he started arguing with the black haired man.

She looked at the two. The Black haired man looked at her and their eyes met for the first time. Hazelnut clashed with Blue ones for a second.

"You! Boke! Do you want to get yell again?!" The Black haired man said bonking Hinata.

"Itai! Stop it! It's not like you're going to beat me at running byee Kageyama!" Hinata started sprinting.

The black haired man gritted his teeth. He looked at her again and bowed. "You bokeeee! Don't you dare start without the signal!" he yelled and started to run too.

'Weirdos..' she eat the remaining strawberries sitting on her lunchbox.

"Very good, Aki!" Her Father said tossing the volleyball in front of her. "Just remember this one thing.." She dived trying to save the ball and she succeeded sending the ball up. "If the ball hasn't hit the ground yet it's not over!" She spiked the ball sending it into the opposite side of the net quickly.

'Being the daughter of Gilbert Herson, a veteran Volleyball player known all over America isn't as bad as anyone thought. Daddy is super strict but loving at the same time.. His love for volleyball is really admirable and I think I got it too..'

She thought cleaning her table.'But unlike him I won't leave Mom..'

"And the Lions scores again! Can they snatch the crown from the undefeated Scorpions this time?!" the announcer said.

'25-21'

"We can't close the gap and Lindsay is still injured!" the scorpion's wing spiker said pointing at their Libero.

"We can! We rule this Championship!" Aki said encouraging her teammates.

"Here we go again! The Lion's fangs Smith will do the serve!" the announcer said. "That's the scorpions for ya! What a beautiful receive!"

'22-25'

"Yes! Nice spike Anne!" Aki complemented her bestfriend.

"Remember this Aki.. There's no way you can stop a determined heart.." She remembered her Dad's qoute.

"Watch out! Her serves are powerful like her sets!" a random member of the Lions said.

She threw the ball and jumped high.'Crap! Leg cramps!' She hissed but despite the pain she hitted the ball as hard as she can and that's her mistake.. The next thing she saw is her bestfriend lying on the floor unconsciously.

'Stupid me'

"Anne!" She hissed in pain. She's lying on the floor too unable to move. "Sorry! Anne!" Her eyes widened there's a blood on her bestfriend's forehead.

Aki and her Bestfriend was brought to the infirmary that moment and the last thing she knew they've lost. Her bestfriend is lying unconsciously.. She's in comma. That powerful serve hitted her head and her head slammed near the Net's pole.

"Honey... Don't push yourself too much.. Your Auntie knew what happened.. it's an accident." Her Mother said.

"I want to quit volleyball Mom," She said burying her face. "Dad is gone.. Right? He chose volleyball over us.." her voice trembles.

"Sh.. how about we start a new life.. Somewhere new? It's been a while Since we went to Japan..""Sounds good Mom.." She smiled.

"Listen up! Kiyoko and Hitoka can't to the upcoming training camp." Takeda-sensei said.

"Why?! Kiyoko-san! What happened to her?!" Tanaka asked.

"Kiyoko is sick and Hitoka will attend some family reunion." Ukai said.

"So who will help Takeda-sensei then?" Sugawara asked.

"Apparently Kiyoko has a cousin here and she mentioned that she has an experience managing clubs but she isn't used here yet so be nice!" Ukai said.

"Aki! Kiyo-chan is on the other line!" Aki's Mom said.

Kiyoko Shimizu is her Cousin. They play together whenever they come home to visit.

"Kiyoo-chan! How are ya?!" Aki shouted.

"Don't shout! *Cough Let's get to the point okay? Can you please sub me this coming event? Please? With a cherry on top? And if you worry about Oba-chan she agreed already and she packed your things.. I promise to bake you some strawberry shortcake later byee! Meet them tomorrow at 5:00 am school grounds don't be late! " With that she hung up.

"I really LOVE YOU KIYOO-CHAN! And Moooom! I can't believe you agreed!" Aki pouted and her Mom stuck her tongue out.

"Gather up Boys!" Takeda-sensei said.

"Your things ready? Go hop on!" Ukai said. "The substitute manager will be here for a moment-- oh here she is."

"I'm Aki Harukasa.. First year Nice to meet you.." She bowed.

"Nice to meet you!" Tanaka said followed by Everyone.

"Uh.. What Club is this? And why is Kiyoo-chan the only girl member?" She asked.

"Silly.. Because It's the Men's volleyball club!" Nishinoya said.

"Oh craaaaaap..." She paled.
