Mother
Screams. That's all that could be heard from the private villa as people ran from the castle grounds, trying their best to get as far away as possible.
"YOU LIED TO ME!" Him screamed his figure growing twice its size as he glared at his son. Butch held his ground blocking the red demon's way to the castle.
"ME?!" Butch sneered pointing towards himself. "YOU TRIED TO USE HER." His eyes darken in color as he flew up staring at his father.
"DAD GET INSIDE." Boomer pulled Mojo away from the two. He could see the dark red clouds coveri8ng the once bright sunny sky.
"Stop Boomer. I'm sure there's a good explanation." Mojo shook his head as he tried to reach his husband. "He wouldn't just."
He tried to comprehend what was happening. Finally being pushed fully inside he turned seeing the green-eyed puff. She was sweating profusely. Her eyes never waver from the opposite side of her. Brat still laid still as her sisters tried to prop her head up. Mojo ran towards her immediately checking her pulse. Memories of the blonde punk flooded her mind.
"No more worrying. We got you this time." Brat smiled as she stared at the ultrasound photo in her hand. She was the most excited about the child. Her eyes held sorrow as she remembered the deal Buttercup made with the demon but she and her sisters vowed to take care of the child. It wasn't until two months later at her last check-up they all learned the green puff would have twins.
"She's alive just unconscious." Berserk answered. Mojo sighed calming down as he moved to help Buttercup. Brick's suit top was long gone, now covering the dark-haired woman. Bubbles stood beside her sister whipping away the sweat that poured from her skin.
"Stop messing with me and go help them," Buttercup argued. Everyone ignored her causing her to try to stand. A sharp pain hit her abdomen and back at the same time. The piercing scream she released brought tears to her eyes.
"Buttercup." Bubbles pleaded as she tried to calm her sister down.
"STOP IT B." Brick moved to her face. Stopping her from moving. Her breath was heavy as she looked at him teary-eyed.
"Brat is ok." Brute answered. "We are all ok."
A loud crash and string of curses that followed caused everyone to look out the window. Smoke covered the open window, Buttercup watched as the color drained from their faces. Her heart quicken in speed as she started to fear the worst.
"We're gonna go help, Butch." Brace and Boomer stood up. Buttercup's eyes darted towards Brick.
"Brute and Berserk is gonna go help. The rest of us is gonna make sure you and the squirts are ok." Brick answered her silent question. She didn't look happy. She looked more worried as she watched them run out.
"BC." It got quiet around her Bubbles blocking all noise but her. The smile her sister gave her usually made her feel on top of the world but she felt so weak. Her body was hurting in a way she never knew existed. Her mind became foggy from the pain as she fought to stay awake.
"They're draining her powers. We need to get 'em out now." Plutonium moved faster than Brick.
"Wait no. I can handle it. I can wait." Buttercup breathed out begging them to wait.
"We don't have time, you could die." Plutonium looked her in the eye. She glanced back at the window the sky never changing as she swallowed nodding slowly.
"Blossom can you go grab some towels. Bliss go get three bottles of water. Bubbles." Turning to blonde she looked at him determinedly. "Keep her calm."
The girls moved. Brick turned to the still shocked man in front of him. His father-in-law stood in the same spot by the bar as everything fell apart.
"JOHN." Breaking him out of his trance Brick glared hard as he could tell his eyes were glowing he was beyond pissed.
"You can look over your life later right now I need you to go get your medicine bag and car ready."
"Why? Brick I'm not leaving you gu-"
"It's for the twins. Once they're out you should be fine." Hopefully, he thought. She nodded trusting his words. His words were Law for them whatever plan he had it worked.
"I got the towels. Brick is she gonna be ok?" Blossom looked to her sister. The painful look never left her eyes but she kept checking for everyone else. Buttercup took deep breaths grimacing as she felt the sharp pain in her side.
"Of course." He would make sure she was ok. Blossom nodded moving to the opposite side of Bubbles as Bliss handed her a water bottle.
"Drink this BC." Forcing the liquid down her throat. Buttercup cried out shaking her head as she felt the stabbing pain shoot from her groin to her back. Plutonium and Brick quickly moved to create makeshift padding under her.
"Hold her legs." Brick ordered. Blossom moved to her left leg while Bliss moved to the other. Nodding at the two he raised his sleeves sitting down between her legs.
"You could've shaved for me green." Brick chuckled trying his hardest to help ease the puff worries.
"FUCK YOU RED." She screamed out in pain causing the rest to chuckle softly. She jolted filling his finger barely entering inside her.
"She's ready." He turned to Plutonium.
"Alright Buttercup. I need you to start pushing." He smiled at her the same reassuring smile he gave her months ago when she found out. She looked around her. Bubbles were still whipping away her sweat and tears as Bliss and Blossom smiled happily at her. Brick smirked the same 'We got this' smirk he always had in battle. Taking a deep breath she nodded. Bubbles blocked her from hearing again the only words she could hear now were Hers and Plutonium.
"I'm gonna go help. You know what to do. Keep her calm. When the Professor gets back, Mojo and Plutonium leave with the twins. You can try to get them to take Buttercup too." Brick told his wife his plan. Leaning down he planted one more kiss on her. They both knew Buttercup wouldn't leave them behind.
"I love you."
"I love you too." Flying out the broken window Brick glared.
"What was your plan Him?" Brick called out stopping the fight in front of him. Butch halted his onslaught as everyone stood still.
"To rule of course." Him chuckled. As he towered over them with a sickening smirked.
"With the children, she produces they would be unstoppable. They could take over anything." Him chuckled he was excited again. The high-pitched echo followed behind each word.
"I thought you gave that up?" Brace questioned.
"Gave up world domination?" Shaking his head- "Never."
"You planned to use Buttercup for that?" Boomer questioned. They watched as the demonic being chuckled darkly at them.
"Not really. She could not only make a super-powered human like you bunch, but she could also birth a demon." Smiling at the thought he raised his arms at the clarification.
He spent years, centuries even planning for his rule. He has always craved power. It was why he resurrected the boys. Why he stayed with Mojo. He almost had the power he needed to succeed. His army, so strong he could rule the world but he wanted more. He was a King, after all, an all-powerful demon why shouldn't he want more?
That rainy night six months ago he watched Buttercup. She was different from all the others. She was nothing special she could've been a human in his eyes. No special powers, nothing special about her anything she could do his boys could but for some reason he couldn't use her temptations against her. She always had something more important something in the way of what she craved but for the last three weeks, he kept finding himself watching her.
"Oh?" He was amused now. On the edge of his seat as he prepared to watch the green puff blow a fuse. His son had been fucking her sister for a while now. Even going so far as to take her out something he never did for Buttercup. Instead of a heated argument, he watched the normally easily angered puff cry. She shed her tears like it was second nature to her. Dropping what he later learned was a pregnancy test he stood to his feet shocked as she ran, she never ran. He watched her still confused as to why she kept invading his mind so much.
What was it? He had to know. Watching her now sit on the forest floor she cried to his eldest son. Refusing to tell him why she was crying. That is when he sensed it. Her tears brought forth a strong power. A power he never sensed before and it brewed inside of her. But the puff wasn't special gaining a closer look he felt his cheeks burn as he grinned. It wasn't the puff it was her child.
"SOMEONE WHO COULD BIRTH AN ALL-POWERFUL DEMON. I COULD RULE DIMENSIONS WITH THAT."
"What the fuck." Butch couldn't think straight flying towards him with a punch he continued his assault as he sent a kick to the devil.
"STAY AWAY FROM THEM." Him chuckled standing again as he looked at the six amused.
"Too late for that." With a flick of his palm. Butch slammed back into a wall of bushes. His head ranged as he listened to the angry war crimes of his siblings. Shaking his head he watched as Boomer forged a large hammer with his energy. Flying back towards the fight he felt his left eye twitch as Buttercup's scream shook the trees.
"Finally." Him chuckled loudly growing in size again.
Plutonium was holding the head of a dark-haired child. He was smiling brightly as he looked over it.
"One more push. You got this." Bubbles watched as Buttercup cried her nails scratching against the tile of the building.
"It hurts." She pleaded out as Bubbles whispered in her ear. That it was going to be ok. Bliss looked outside seeing the boys and punks struggling she stood up handing Blossom the water.
"BLISS," Blossom yelled. Watching the purple streak as their eldest sister flew away. Buttercup started to hyperventilate. Looking out the window she could only see the darkening red sky. She felt her world crash.
"Buttercup." She stared into bright pink eyes. "You want to help them then you have to fucking push."
"Come on BC. We need you." Bubbles added. Buttercup closed her eyes nodding as she pushed one last time. Plutonium cheered wrapping the child he handed the firstborn to Mojo. Buttercup felt a wave of pressure. Her heart ached as she felt her gut drop.
"I got the car let's go." John kept the truck running as he stopped in his tracks. Mojo was holding a small bundle. Its eyes closed as he cleaned its face.
"FUCK." Buttercup's scream broke him from his trance as he turned to see her crying. The second child was following quickly. Plutonium turned around from the two men seeing the Brunette leaning forward. The pressure against her back caused her to cry out.
"What's happening?" Bubbles caught hold of her sister as her eyes started to slightly glow.
"Buttercup deep breathes. Deep breathes." She tried to listen to Blossom as she breathed in front of her.
"AAGH." She wasn't even pushing the child was dropping on its own. Crying out she was forced to push. Plutonium had quickly caught the child. The scream the baby gave out caused Bubbles to drop her sound barrier. She and Blossom stared at one another. The first one didn't scream like that. Why didn't it scream? Plutonium quickly finished up with Buttercup moving to the twins with John and Mojo.
"Did that not?" John noticed the fear in the two scientists' faces.
"MOVE." He screamed pointing towards the car. The two males ran out the back of the venue.
"BUBBLES DRIVE," John yelled holding his medical bag as the three men went into the back of the truck.
"Buttercup, come on we gotta go." Bubbles and Blossom turned to help their sister up. She was leaning her back against the wall.
"Take Brat and Blossom and go Bubs." Buttercup didn't look at them as she ripped the dress she was in. Her body was healing itself as she took deep breaths. She could hear the painful cries of her family now. The sound of them hitting the ground angered her.
"But BC." Bubbles stared at her sister's eyes. She's only seen Buttercup's eyes turn red once before.
It was the day she witnessed their childhood friends Elmer and Robin in a heated argument.
"Fuck you, Elmer," Robin screamed throwing her tray down. We weren't even sure what started the argument and no one ever asked but that day we all witnessed a new side to Elmer. HE stood tall over Robin bringing his fist back he hit her.
Robin was now on the ground her nose bleeding as Elmer stood above her, a face of triumph eyes filled with pride as he scoffed at her. Before Bubbles could move to help her friend she saw the cold stare of her sister's eyes. The normal bright green was now replaced with a dull red. It scared her. It terrified Elmer more tho. She remembers him stumbling to the ground as Buttercup stood in front of him. The whole school had forgotten about the argument between Elmer and Robin in a week flat but no one ever forgot the look of Buttercup's eyes. They were logged into their memory, seen as a sign of danger for the rest of their lives.
Bubbles moved to pick up Brat, no longer able to argue. She pushed Blossom into the car. Buttercup took one last look towards the car. She could hear John and Plutonium whispering about her child. The surge of energy that coursed throughout her body was enough she nodded. Her powers fully returned as her eyes glowed.
"BUTTERCUP NO." She moved faster than Blossom could stop her. Stopping the black ball of energy from hitting their family. She dispersed it a hard glare on her face as she looked up at Him.
"OH, WHY HELLO DEAR." Dropping an unconscious Bliss. Buttercup felt her hands burn with the familiar feeling of her energy coating around them.
"We had a deal." She looked over the damage. Her sister's wedding was ruined. The others were struggling to catch their breath. Behind Him she could see the black truck in the distance. Bubbles driving father away. She knew the blonde was worried but she would rather die than sit back.
"THINGS CHANGE. NOW SHALL WE?" Tilting her head she looked at him with dull wide eyes. He still wanted to go with it? He broke their deal. She could still hear the whispers of the scientists. She just experienced a pain she never knew existed. She still was healing from the damage. She scoffed nodding at the demon.
"Yea. Let's finish what we started." She twirled her finger. Wrapping vines around him tightly. She felt her feet lift from the ground as she felt the freeing feeling of flying once again.
"You think you can do that?" He broke his arm free from the vines as she smirked. Her hair followed up as more thick vines trapped his limbs. She was seeing red. Pulling the demon down to his knees she flew above his head glaring down as she looked at him. Him stared into the red eyes a wave of fear crashed over him.
"If it's dead. I'll kill you." Her voice was calm. A sense that gave the super-powered adults a chill down their back. The Buttercup they knew was loud and rowdy but right now she was quiet. She was patiently waiting as she tightened her hold on Him. He was struggling to breathe as she started to choke him with the vines. Her eyes promised to end him quickly.
"That's new." Boomer coughed whipping the blood from the corner of his lips. He watched as the environment around them shifted around the green puff. Brick nodded standing up fixing his broken fist. She subdued their father easily. He took a glance back to the venue.
"Everybody's out." Brace stated he walked out from the canopy he was stuck in. Followed by the two punks.
"She said if it's dead." Bliss stated. She looked confused as she saw everyone's eyes turn from shock to anger.
"If that bastard killed my child I'm gonna make him wish he never revived me." Butch's body twitched as he flew up next to Buttercup.
"Don't. Not yet." Buttercup's voice shook as everyone flew up to her. She needed Him alive if her child didn't make it. She needed him to revive it then she could destroy him. Then she could let him cry out in pain as she did.
"We can't kill him yet." She was talking more to herself than them. Her eyes kept flashing from her calming green to a dark maroon color.
"Move a muscle and I swear." Brick warned the beast. Him chuckled only to be hit with multiple blasts. Boomer and Brace glared hard as Butch continue to twitch next to them. Buttercup tightened the thick vine around his neck.
"Can't I just kill him?" Buttercup shook her head repeating not yet once again. She closed her eyes. She could hear their heart beating as she tried her hardest to keep everything under control. She turned to remove the vines from his neck.
"You know. I kept questioning why. Why did it have to be me?" Buttercup rested her head on her in her palm. Him stared at her shocked as she started a conversation with him.
"Why couldn't I just ignore it." She chuckled at the look she received.
"The day I found out I was pregnant. I was filled with mixed emotions. I was pissed before I got happy." Her eyes darken as she remembered the pouring night.
"Then I was sad, but you know what you made me fear it." Her eyes turned red as she smiled at him.
"I didn't get to do the photoshoot or take the classes." She chuckled coldly. "If my child doesn't wake up I am gonna ruin you. I'm ripping you apart limb from limb, I hope you enjoyed your life."
A tree grew behind her a simple oak in size. She glanced at the monstrous man.
"Start praying Him, Pray that my children are healthy cause you'll be stuck on that tree by the time I'm done with you," Buttercup smiled as she floated to sit on a branch as she waited. The memory of her making that deal with Him crossed her mind.
She watched from the alley as Butch sat happily with Bliss. He held her hand caressing her palm in the most gentlest way the puff had ever seen. It had been a full month since she last spoke to them. A month since the Professor pushed her away and now she stood staring at her sister and the love of her life date. She felt her heartbreak all over again as she turned walking away from the view.
"Hohoho. What do we have here?" She stopped looking up at the well-dressed male. She was honestly shocked. Him rarely left his territory let alone his home. He glanced down at her a smile so big it caused her to shiver in anticipation.
"Ah, there it is." He placed a hand on her stomach slowly tracing the small bump of her belly. She could feel the goosebumps rushing across her skin as a shiver went down her spine.
"Glorious." She flinched as his voice echoed with his excitement. She looked at him his eyes glossed over glowing as he continued to stare at her belly.
"I can feel their power from here and they're not even fully developed yet. Excellent." His voice ranged with his excitement as he stepped further. Lifting her head up he tilted it to the side.
"You'll work."
"W..what are you talking about?" She couldn't stop stuttering. Pushing herself back her legs shook as her instincts told her to run. Her gut was screaming for her to get away from the man as he tightened his grip on her.
"Give me them." He leaned down his hot breath blowing against her neck.
"Wha- NO." He was serious. She could see it in his eyes as they darken in color. She glanced up watching the night sky turn to a dark red hue. He was stronger than her now her mind running trying to find a solution. His grip tightened as he pull closer to him.
"...a deal. Let's make a deal." She cried out. Tears fell from her eyes she shook against his hold.. she was petrified. He looked up at her keeping his hold on her as he waited for her to continue.
"As long as my family stays safe. Out of harm's way. I'll birth however many kids you want. After. I have this one please." She begged. He could hear the desperation in her voice as he slowly let her chin go. She quickly stepped back her back hitting against the cold brick building behind her.
"I'll hold you to it." He left. He never answered her but for weeks she kept having dreams of Him. Dreams of the demon taking her. She watched multiple of her children die as he declared them too weak.
When that wasn't enough she was forced to watch her family die as well. The cries of her sisters as they begged her to do what he wanted to keep her up at night.
It became so much stress on her that she had to leave. She had no choice but to leave. She could feel his cold eyes on her as she boarded the plane. It would take weeks for her to completely lose him. After three months of running, she was finally able to settle down in another country. She knew peace for those short months. No dream of Him or even a Dream of her family. Just her and her child. She was safe finally. She questioned herself those months. If she had told Brick the truth that night would things be different? Probably Brick was smarter than her but it was too late to change the past.
Her mind broke out of her fantasy as she looked up to the dark black eyes in front of her. Now she was sitting in a tree waiting to hear if her child lived or not. Waiting to see if she would murder once again for her family. The others watched as Him slowly brought in his powers as the sky returned. Hours passes the bright purple hue that cast over the sky calmed everyone.
The piercing sound of Bubbles' sonic wave hitting the area caused the adults to turn towards the city. Watching as blue explosions erupted across the sky soon followed by two light blue streaks. Buttercup felt her heart lurch forward as she cried out in joy.
"Now," she said a smile spreading across her face as she flew away. Butch smirked slamming his fist into the now normal size demon. The environment returned to normal as Butch and his brothers chuckled darkly.
"It's alive isn't it?" Him questioned calling out to Buttercup. The three girls stopped in their tracks laughing.
"Ask their father." Brute smirked as the rest of the girls followed Buttercup.
Buttercup flew inside the old modern home. The interior was still the same as she glanced for the single door in the living room. Her heart thumped against her chest as she flew downstairs into the lab. They were all surrounding one area.
"Are they?" She stopped the scientists from conversing. Each stepped back presenting a small white crib. Her heart wrenched as she wobbled closer. Laying inside the crib she could see the bustle of dark black hair. She released a brittle giggle as her fingers graced the child. It had Butch's deep raven black hair.
"Ah," she quaked feeling the tears fall from her eyes, as she looked overseeing an onyx-haired child holding tightly onto the other.
"You're ok." She sobbed. Shakingly touching them she cried as she leaned down picking them both up.
She was a mother. She felt like laughing, her a mother? A mother was someone who could love unconditionally. A child's first friend, healer, and protector. How could it be possible to love
"All tests are done." Utonium tried to show her the paperwork but her eyes blurred as she held her children closer to her. Similar to her they had an excessive amount of Chemical X in their blood. She smiled hearing their heartbeats clearly. She felt like screaming for joy. She was a mother. She felt like laughing, her a mother?
A mother was someone who could love unconditionally. A child's first friend, healer, and protector. How could it be possible to love anything without consequence, without any regrets? She questioned it consistently from the moment she discovered her pregnancy but when she looked down at them She couldn't imagine herself not loving them.
"BUTTERCUP." The scream of her name made one of the twins cry out. She laughed instantly remembering the cry. She shushed the child smiling as she felt her family's eyes on her.
"Butch, You idiot." Brat slapped the still twitching Butch as he rushed inside the lab. "Do not scare my nephews."
His eyes never left the smiling woman in front of him. She held both bundles up to her chest, soothing the crying child.
"Hands." Bubbles stood in front of him. Whipping his bloody hands quickly as he moved towards Buttercup.
"Nephews? Boys?" Butch stopped arm's length from them just staring at the three. Buttercup moved to hand him the still crying child. His body twitched in excitement as he smiled down at the boy. Boy. Boys? He felt his heart leap in joy as he shook his leg.
"Hey?" His voice trembled as he fixed his hold on the child. "We greens don't cry." The sound of his voice eased the child. It stopped crying as Butch awkwardly rocked it. He chuckled watching as the baby opened his eyes. The jade color eyes meet his deep forest green. Everything the newly-made father spoke flew out the window as he cried. He looked up at Buttercup as she whispered softly. Her finger was placed gently between the newborn's palm.
"I know you're awake. You use to beat me up constantly." She smiled as she felt her son tighten his grip on her finger. She chuckled as she watched her son smirk up at her. She gasped laughing aloud as she looked at the smug look. He slowly opened his eyes a bright bottle green held mischief causing her to laugh again.
"Listen. You can't take your uncles' words to heart." She smirked back. Feeling the presence of the others.
"Hey, little Ruff." Boomer and Brick greeted as Brace looked over their shoulders.
"Oh my God. He's so cute." Bliss cooed at the dark-eyed baby in Butch's hands.
"Which one came first?" Berserk asked snapping photos between the two.
"This one." Buttercup smiled watching as her baby looked over to its father. Butch smiled at the baby looking up at Buttercup.
"What names did you come up with?" She shrugged staring at her son. "Wanna compromise?"
"Brick is a great name." Brick smirked as he teased at the two.
"No way Boomer would be better."
"Like hell, my nephews would be named after you two." Brute glared. Buttercup laughed. She missed this. How after something so traumatic they always found a way to act normal.
"I meant I'll give the boys his last name if I could use the two names I already have." Butch felt his chest rise in pride. Nodding at the deal.
"Byrce Jojo." Blossom stifled a laugh as she covered her mouth. Brick smirked at Buttercup who shrugged.
"I think it's fitting." She smiled at her son. He smiled at her he seemed to like her choice. She walked towards Butch looking at the smiling child in his arms.
"Boone?" He grimaced at her causing her to chuckle.
"Fine. Bade Jojo, it is." She smiled cheerfully when he smiled at her.
"Alright then. Guys this is Byrce and Bade Jojo. WE GOT TWO NEW RUFFS." Butch cheered as he and his brother screamed in excitement.
"Awwww." Bubbles snatched Bade out of Butch's hand as the girls surrounded her.
"You remember, don't you? I'm Bubbles and I'm your favorite."
"No, she's not." The room ranged. Brick looked down at Buttercup with pleading eyes as she sighed handing over the baby. Buttercup stepped back as she watched her family declare who the favorite uncle/aunt would be. Even Blossom was declaring how the two boys would have a cousin very soon.
She smiled watching them love her children. She felt like crying again as she stood back. Plutonium was now snapping photos as he and mojo already debated on how the two would act.
"Butters." Butch gained her attention as he pulled her into a tight hug. She could feel him shaking with tears in his eyes as he held her tighter. The amount of fear that was coursing through his veins was finally acknowledged. He could've lost her. He could have lost his boys. They were here and everything was fine now right? She wouldn't leave him again not now.
"We aren't going anywhere, Butch." She answered his silent question as he finally felt his body calm down. Bliss and Boomer handed her the two bundles. She stared down at them. The gummy grins on their face made her heart swell in happiness.
"From the sound of your cries to the feel of your hand wrapped tightly around my finger. I knew I would love you until my last breath. " Buttercup chuckled holding her children tighter. It was over. It was finally over.
That's it. I apologize if it sucks. I started this story in middle school (I am now in college) and I didn't want to keep it on Haitus. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for reading this story.
