I already put this in my profile, but I figure a lot of people won't see that, so I'll say it here, too.

If you've been following Last Chance (or any of my works) then I'm sure you've noticed that the series has been on hiatus. Sorry for the lack of updates in that regard; life has been a bit messy lately, and I just haven't had the time or been in the right mindset to continue this series.

I'm not done with it yet, though. I've simply realized how unhappy I've been with the direction I was taking this and my other works, and the "method" I was writing with.

When I first began this series, I was an impulsive teenager that could sit down during a study hall and crank out two or three chapters at a time right off the top of my head, without any prior planning.

This might sound nice, but in reality it made my writing sloppy, and the plot is full of holes and inconsistencies. The universes I was establishing between each work began to bleed together, and keeping them apart grew harder and harder.

Now, as an adult... well, I'm still really impulsive. That's why I have three ongoing series to begin with.

But I've decided, I'm going to be writing a short childhood friends shuake series (I know what you're probably thinking, but no, it's not related to Last Chance), just to get myself back into the swing of writing longer pieces again, and between that, I'll be taking each series and properly planning them out (wow, imagine that).

Then I'll take each and rewrite them from the ground up, one at a time. I'll start with the shortest series and work my way up.

Now, for the other part of this update, I should mention that I've decided I no longer want to continue cross-posting my works to Wattpad and FFN. It was kind of tedious, and I was never too big on using these particular platforms to begin with, so I'll be sticking mainly to Ao3 from now on (imjustsomebunny, or "That One Nerdy Writer").

This isn't necessarily a permanent decision yet; I might cross-post my larger series here and on Wattpad in the future and keep all of my shorter works exclusively on Ao3. I'm not sure. But for now, I've already written a couple of shorter fics during my "hiatus" that will only be on my Ao3, so you can check those out if you're interested.
