Chapter 6: Class President/Attack part 1
"Move, Tokoyami! We are almost there!"
Tokoyami and I were doing my morning jog early in the morning. You could imagine my surprise when he texted me saying that he wanted to train with me. His encounter with Hop showed him that he needed to get stronger if he were to survive.
I had silently thanked Hop for not scaring him for life. Especially considering the scar she gave me was still there and it served as a reminder not to be on the receiving end of her max brutality.
Back to the present, Tokoyami was sweating bullets and it became very apparent that he didn't properly hydrate. A skinny person has more stamina but a dehydrated person won't be able to exercise properly. This meant we had to stop several times to get him water. To help out, I clothes beamed a canteen that could be attached to his belt so that he would always have water.
We finally made it to my apartment and I had to carry him the rest of the way on my shoulder because he was seconds from passing out. Once inside I put him on the ground and used a clothes beam again to create a school uniform that fit his size as well as a towell.
"Go take a shower and get changed into these. When you are done I'll take a quick one and we can then head to school." I explained. Tokoyami had already brung his school supplies with him so we didn't need to grab anything from his house. He took the clothes I created and went into the bathroom.
I could hear the shower turn on and while I waited I took out an art history textbook out of my school bag and started studying. After about ten minutes Tokoyami came out in full school uniform. Once that happened I went in after him and took mine.
Once we were both done we started making our way to school. I didn't run like I normally do because we had plenty of time and Tokoyami was still exhausted from this morning's jog.
On our way there, Tokoyami got a text from Shoji saying they should move as a group because apparently word had gotten out that All Might was teaching at UA. The reporters were said to be like a swarm of bees. We agreed and made a detour to pick up Shoji from his house.
We stood outside the door of a two story tall building. I was pacing back and forth in anticipation with Tokoyami watching from the side. "Leo, I have a question."
"Shoot"
"You have mentioned that you don't like to have others know about your real name. The only people who know are me, the teachers, and high ranking officials. Why?" The question caught me off guard. It was true that the choice to keep my name secret was mine. The teachers knew about it only because it was in my file and even then it specifically told them not to say it.
I take out my canteen and sip out of it, then turn to my friend. "Do you know why I am so strong, Tokoyami?" He nodded before replying.
"You trained your body to the breaking point all the time. You have traveled the multiverse to learn techniques that you use to enhance your skills and power. You have told me this." Then he realized that I was trying to avoid eye contact with him. "Is there something you didn't add?"
"Yes, actually" I walk up to a bench and sit down. "What I tell you next you cannot mention to the others. Do you promise that?"
Tokoyami looked at the house before nodding his head. I pat spot next to me to motion for him to sit. Once he does I continue.
"While that is all true, what I failed to mention is that most that I know comes from the guy who raised me in that chamber I told you about. He is one of our universe's greatest warriors and has defeated foes throughout the universes."
"Oh, so he is your teacher in more ways than one. But you keep mentioning how you spent eight years in a room with him alone. Why is that exactly?"
I shake my head. "One story at a time. Ask me again later. Anyway because of my training under him I learnt to fight like him to an extent. There was one big difference between us though." My eyes went to the pavement.
"Which is…?" he tilted his head to the side to try to look me in the eye. I respond by shifting my gaze to him.
"He is our world's deadliest soldier. He has killed more mindless beings than humans, but throughout his time fighting he has killed 150,000 people."
This revelation seemed to floor Tokoyami. He immediately stood up but fell back down from shock. "A hu...wha...why…" Words couldn't escape his mouth. A hundred and fifty thousand people. That was more than any villain he has heard of. Granted he was on the good side but still...how does someone manage to do that?
"Because of this he made many powerful enemies. However he is the most skilled being in all the cosmos. Even if by some chance you were faster or stronger than him he could still defeat you."
"And so Chris feared that if someone were to fight like him then they would be the target of super villains so that they could learn his weaknesses."
Tokoyami took a second to process this then turned to me. "You" My eyes darted away from him and I gave him a nod. He looks at me for a second then slowly starts to chuckle. I look at him with confusion.
"If you think that anyone is stupid enough to attack you over him then you are overreacting. You said it yourself, he is one of the strongest in the multiverse. There is no way anyone could pose a threat to him."
"Actually, there was one but he was killed"
He stops chuckling.
I take a deep breath. "His name was Rampant"
"You see, Chris isn't our world's only hero. There is another who goes by the name Howling Blade. A wolf with powers that rival Chris's. He was a part of a bloodline of wolf knights that defended earth with their power. One day his older brother who had taken the form of a demon slaughtered his pack and left Howling Blade to die at the bottom of a ravine."
"However, an organization ,whose plan was to conquer the world with superpowered animals, found him. They took him back to their lab and experimented on him. Eventually they injected him with a serum that gave him advanced healing powers. He only survived the serum because of his bloodline."
"For years, he killed for the organization who had him in a comatose-like state. Eventually he was freed from his control by Chris and he turned against the organization and destroyed it."
"But some of its members survived. One scientist in particular wanted revenge on Howling Blade for what he did. And so he started his experiments again on hundreds of different animals with a new and enhanced serum. There was only one survivor. He turned on the scientist and killed everyone within a hundred miles with his strength."
Tokoyami then tightened his grip on the bars on the bench. "Rampant?" I give him a nod.
"Rampant was obsessed over killing Howling Blade. You see the serum gave him advanced healing like the original but it also gave him five rage forms. Each one stronger than the last. This made him one of the most powerful beings ever to exist at the cost of his own sanity."
"Eventually, he learned that Howling Blade had taken up students in Universe 500.9. That was my first time entering a real fight if you wanna call it that. Me and Hop didn't get properly introduced to one another yet but with so many warriors throughout the multiverse gathered in a single place, it was understandable why."
"Some of the greats took part in that battle. Goku, Vegeta, Saitama, the angels, even allies from other worlds that I couldn't even name. You see, since Rampant was born in Universe 1, the divine beings of Universe 500 couldn't erase him. He was out of their jurisdiction."
"And so the battle began. Many fighters were blown away in an instant. I didn't even see the front line because the shockwaves had knocked me out before I could make a move."
"But eventually we were able to hold off until Chris arrived. I had returned consciousness by that time and watched the end of the battle when Rampant had exploded into little pieces all over the battlefield. He had become too consumed by rage to fight against Chris properly and it cost him."
"So the biggest threat to you is deceased? Then why keep your name a secret?"
"Because, could be others like Rampant. He didn't fear Chris to the point it got him killed but what if someone didn't fear him but wasn't stupid enough to challenge him head on. It's not my life that worries me but my sisters. What if someone learnt she existed and went after her to get to me? So that I could reveal my weaknesses which also branch to Chris."
"That is why, Tokoyami. My name must be kept a secret because of my family. Also what is taking Shoji so long? I went through an entire story and he still isn't here!"
I walk up to the door and knock. Immediately, Shoji barges out the door and grabs onto me and Tokoyami. "I'm so sorry, I dozed off. We need to get to school ASAP." And so Shoji dragged me and Tokoyami three miles to school.
When we arrived at UA , reporters were crowding the front gate and questioned anybody who came up. The only one who didn't seem fazed by the reporters was Aoyama who was posing and trying to keep the cameras focused on him. While we could sneak past them while they were distracted we didn't want Aoyama to get to caught up with himself and be late for the third day of class.
"Okay, on three," Shoji stated. Me and Tokoyami prepared to launch ourselves through the group. Shoji would take the lead and make a path for us while I grabbed Aoyama and pull him into the formation.
"One, Two, Three!"
We charge. When Shoji hit the first wave of reporters he nearly toppled over from the flashes of cameras alone. We eventually made it to Aoyama where I grab and carry bridal style. Then one reporter said something that made us all realize we were fucked.
"Hey! Aren't you the quirkless one who entered UA for Universe 1?"
Shit
Whatever attention was given elsewhere was redirected towards me. My eyes widen in fear. I could hear Neo yell for me to go faster and it appeared Shoji had the same idea because we were racing through the crowd.
"Is it true that you are quirkless? If so, how do you expect to survive out in the real world as a hero? What is Universe 1's opinion on All Might."
So many questions are thrown at me and at one point a woman grabs my arm but all I can do is reply with 'no comment' and yank my arm away. We almost made it to the entrance when the same woman who grabbed me earlier yelled at the top of her lungs. "Is it true that you didn't take the entrance exam and they just let you in because of your spot. If so, do you really deserve to be here?"
This caused me to freeze. Aoyama looks at me with curiosity and the others stop when they realize that the green haired man wasn't behind them.
I turned to reply to that comment but was cut off by another voice. "He attended the entrance exam. And let me say he deserved his spot here." The reporters whip around to the source and find a purple haired kid with bags under his eyes.
Tokoyami and I look at each other. That was the same kid they saved at the entrance exam. While the reporters were taking a moment to process what was said I ran through the crowd and threw Aoyama on my shoulder, then I grabbed the purple haired kid and put him on my other shoulder.
Before I could charge through the crowd again a scarf wraps around me and pulls me through the doors of UA along with Tokoyami and Shoji. I had managed to keep hold of the two on my shoulders so they came with me.
Once we gathered our bearings, we looked up to see Aizawa had used his scarf to pull us out of the crowd. He gave us a tired look before replying "Go to class. It won't be held against you for being late and you…" He turns to the purple haired kid. "Head to the general studies course. I'll put in a good word to your teacher so expect something good on your record for getting the reporters off my student."
The purple haired kid nods before getting up and leaving. The rest of us get up and brush off some dust. We then do the same and make our way to class. Aoyama was talking about how the reporters couldn't get enough of him while Shoji was still bumping into things because the lights from the cameras still had him partially blinded.
When we finally arrived at class the others were still arriving because of the crowd outside. Iida looked like a truck had run him over and his hair was an absolute mess, with Ashido trying to help him fix it.
I take my place in the back and sit down. Grabbing the art history textbook, my mind starts trying to absorb all the information that it could.
"You really do struggle with history don't you?"
I look up and see Yaoyorozu looking back at me. She sat right in front of me so it was only natural that she tended to help me out whenever I had trouble. It also helped that she was the smartest one in class.
Giving a nod "This world's history is still new to me. I had studied it before I came here but wasn't expecting art history to be a thing. It's kind of funny. I'm the oldest one here but can't quite seem to get a handle on new things."
She gives a slight smile. "It must be weird. Entering a new world. I couldn't even imagine all the trouble you go through with such a change."
"You get used to it. Also, it's not as bad as it seems. I'm just thankful that I have new friends to help me out. Didn't have any growing up."
"I have noticed that your socialization skills don't particularly work. Perhaps you should try talking more?"
I give this a thought. If I talked more it would open me up to learning how to socialize with more people. Granted I would still suck but it was a start.
"Good morning everyone" Aizawa slowly made his way into the room. Everyone immediately went to their seats as fast as possible. "Now I watched your battle trials yesterday on a recording. Midoriya, you need to get a better hold of your power. Bakugou, get a handle on your anger. Also, Shoji and Leo you will both need to prove yourselves in the future. It wasn't your fault that you did nothing but that just means you'll have to make up for it later."
The students he called out all bowed slightly in their seats. Aizawa was correct. Since Shoji and I had yet to show our strength we would have to prove our worth later.
Aizawa straightened some papers. "Now to make a decision that will affect the rest of your high school career." Everyone was now fearing for another chance of expulsion. Midoriya looked like he was about to pass out.
"You must decide on your class representatives."
The mood changed immediately from fear to excitement. People were jumping at the chance at being the class president. The only exceptions were me, Todoroki, Tokoyami, Shoji, and Midoriya.
"Be quiet" Aizawa's eyes shined bright red, indicating that he was using his quirk. "It doesn't matter how you do it, just get it done." He then grabbed a sleeping bag and went to the corner to snooze.
"My fellow classmates!" Iida stood up. "We should determine this by a vote to make it fair."
Sato then turned to him. "But then everyone will just vote for themselves."
Iida then did his hand chop thing he does. "But that just means that whoever gets the most votes would have earned the trust of the class."
"I agree with Iida. But for the love of all things holy, do not vote for me. I'm dealing with enough already." I add. Some of the others turned back to me with surprised looks. They probably thought that since I was the oldest that my experience in leading would be better. That was not the case.
And so we passed out small sheets of paper. When my piece was given to me I closed my eyes to think about my vote. Yaoyorozu was my first pick, with her always helping me with history which I believed I owed her for. But on the other hand she still had yet to learn how to tolerate failure for whenever she did lose.
Then there was Iida, who also volunteered to help me out in history and has shown to follow the rules quite well. However, if the entrance exam ceremony was anything to go off of he was quick to make assumptions. Not necessarily the best trait for a leader to have but it could be worked on.
So it came down to those two for me. Iida or Yaoyorozu.
After taking a moment I put down Iida. Once Yaoyorozu lost a battle and experienced it, then maybe he would see her as a potential leader. But until then Iida had the best traits for one.
The pieces were gathered in the front where they were counted by Shoji with Aoyama using chalk to mark down the votes. In the end, these were the results.
Izuku Midoriya: 2 votes
Momo Yaoyorozu: 2 votes
Tenya Iida: 3 votes
Leo:2 votes
Tokoyami:2 votes
"Looks like Iida is class president." commented Jiro. "But who would be vice-president?"
Iida jumped up. "Then those four will vote again." Many groans spread across the room. Us four were given another sheet which I decided to write Yaoyorozu on. When they were sent up Iida grabbed all four pieces and announced. "Now these votes will be completely anonymous with no name given." He looked at the pieces and began announcing the names on the tags.
"Yaoyorozu, Yaoyorozu, Yaoyorozu, Yaoyorozu" he then froze when he realized that they were all the same. He then looked up at the class. "Change in plans, the vote will no longer be anonymous." A few students chuckled.
Aizawa got up from his spot and went to the front of the classroom. "Then it is decided. Iida will be president while Yaoyorozu will be vice-president." And with our school day began.
Tokoyami, Shoji, and I all stood in line for chow. Lunch rush made excellent food and it was a crime to not take advantage of it. I had ordered a nutrient pack that would help me stay in shape. The second that Lunch Rush gave me the plate it disappeared. My large appetite tended to come from all the training I did but my restrictions on myself prevented me from gaining too many pounds.
"So you like apples." my comment made Tokoyami turn to me with a full apple in his mouth. Shoji chuckled at the sight and continued eating with his extended limbs.
"Yeah, so what? They are healthy for me." he argued. He then attacked his apple slices with a passion.
"They are indeed. Just make sure you eat something else. Here." I give him a banana and he happily accepts. Bananas are awesome.
"Ah yes, eat bananas like the apes you are." Someone bumps Tokoyami from behind and he begins to choke on his food. Shoji jumps up and wraps him with his arms and begins to tighten his stomach. Tokoyami spits the food onto the table and begins gasping for air.
While Tokoyami cleans up I turn to the one who bumped him. "If you have a problem, take it at face value. Another stunt like that and we will have a problem." It was obvious to me that the kid had intentionally hit his friend and he didn't take kindly to that.
The kid laughed. He possessed blond hair and a face that looked like it was well taken care of and punchable at the same time. He sneered at me. "What exactly do you plan on doing, Quirkless. I knew you 1-A students were losers but you bring a whole new meaning to the term."
Ohoho, this guy was pushing my buttons. He then turned to Shoji. "You are even hiding your face. How can someone who aspires to be a great hero hide what they truly look like. Let me guess you can't stand your horrendous face." Shoji tightened his hand into a fist but said nothing.
The blonde turned to Tokoyami. "Your power is to rely on something else to make sure you don't get hurt. What happens when he can't bail you out. I know, you lose as do the rest of your class." The bird headed teen closed his eyes at this insult.
"And you Quirkless," he turned to me. "You hide your name as if it would lead us to who you really are. You are probably some villain in disguise. The only reason you are here is because of a useless alliance and that's it, so do everyone here a favor and just give up and go home."
My hand lashes out but instead of striking the blonde, it goes past him and stops a hand chop that was aimed at his neck. He froze and slowly turned around to see his classmate had been seconds from dropping him but was stopped by me.
"While I do appreciate you coming to our aid, I cannot condone meaningless violence." my comment made the female think for a moment. She had orange hair that had a small band behind her head.
"Lets just say that Monoma here has a way of taking rivalries too seriously. I apologize for anything he said. Our class has been inspired to jump ahead of yours. You see we are from class 1-B and I am the class president. The name's Itsuka Kendo." She extends her hand which I shake.
"Leo" is my reply. She raises an eyebrow before a look of recognition crosses her face.
"You are the guy that placed second in the entrance exams." The blonde who had stood to the side did a spit take.
"This Quirkless freak came in second place!"
Any person in the cafeteria, whose attention wasn't gathered from the encounter, all looked at the group. Several whispers broke out. Then an alarm sounded throughout the building. Everyone looked around in confusion until some of the third years book it to the exit.
It pretty much went to shit from there. The whole cafeteria swarmed towards the exit like a tsunami. The two kids in front of us who weren't in the booth were blown away. I had seeked the crowd until I saw a face that was familiar and seemed to be drowning in bodies.
Reaching out my hand, I grabbed a nearly unconscious Mineta and held him in the air as the crowd passed by. Shoji came up to me and grabbed the kid from me to see if he needed assistance.
At one point the crowd stops and we can hear a muffled yelling in the hallway. After a while people started moving much slower.
"What do you think happened?" asked Tokoyami. He was the only one out of the three to not have super hearing.
"The reporters outside had broken in through the gate. The teachers have got it handled and it looks like our class president was able to get the school in line." I explained. Shoji walked out of the booth with Mineta and said he was going to take him to Recovery Girl.
Me and Tokoyami made our way to the classroom where the rest of the class was still recovering from the flood of students. I walk over to a limping Koda and help him get to his seat. He explained that it wasn't as bad as it looked and that he should be fine in a little bit.
When Aizawa returned he had Shoji and Mineta trailing behind him. Everyone returned to their seats as the teacher looked around. After making sure everyone was accounted for he began to speak.
"Today we will be taking a trip to a training facility. I know many of us are still hurt from the crowd today but you will have to live with it. Class representatives, make sure everyone gets on the bus within thirty minutes." And with that he leaves the room.
Iida stands up and starts yelling for everyone to walk in a single file line. Once we get to the front of the school we notice two buses are lined up.
Iida's plan to keep us in a nice order is ruined when the buses end up not being organized into rows. I stand in one of the buses but hold onto the roof so that Iida doesn't get on my case.
We start moving and Tsu turns to Midoirya. "Hey Midoriya, I have noticed that your power is very similar to All Might's."
"Wha..what makes you say that?" He starts panicking. Kirishima however moves in to defend him.
"All Might doesn't break his bones when he uses his power. Also if anybody has similar powers it's Leo and Bakugou."
"You dare compare me to the Quirkless fucker, Weird Hair." Bakugou nearly jumped at Kirishima but was able to restrain himself.
"I'm serious, I saw what he did at the exams. He hasn't even begun to show what he can actually do yet." My eyes darted to the hardening quirk user.
"You saw that?" He gives me a nod. I had assumed it had just been Tokoyami and Tsu who had witnessed that in my class. That must have been where all the robots went. Kirishima did get a high villain score.
Tsu turned to Bakugou. "You have a very explosive personality, Bakugou." The blond turned to her and started yelling insults but they didn't seem to offend her. Her calmness gave me a chuckle.
However, this attracted her attention to me. "Oh yeah, Leo, when you defended us from that zero pointer in the exam you seemed to be drained from your attack. Does that power drain you or something?"
"Well yes but all powers do that. Mine is a bit different though." This brought confusion to everyone's faces so I continued. "The energy I put out is my life energy so it is linked to my stamina. But there is one flaw to it and that in extreme circumstances if I push myself too far that my life energy will run out."
Iida turned in his seat to get a good look at me. "But if it's your life energy that runs out, won't you die?" This made everyone worry. The great power they have seen this kid use only a few times could kill him! Why did he use it then?
I put my hands in the air. "That is in an extreme circumstance, it is very rare that that could happen. More than likely, my body would just experience temporary ki loss symptoms. Depending on how drained I am, it could be just me being extremely exhausted and unable to exert anymore ki or I will temporarily lose function on certain senses, such as my eyesight of hearing. However my ki recovers overtime so it always comes back. Besides, I have only had major symptoms once and that was after I tried a very dangerous technique for the first time."
"Mutter mutter mutter"
We all turned to Midoriya, who had been writing the whole time in his notebook. Tsu reached over and slightly nudged him so that he would realize what he was , who had been driving the bus, called out, "We are here"
My eyes look out the window and they fall upon a dome of glass and concrete. It was about a mile long and 200 meters high. My brain struggled to think how they managed to build this thing when it was so long because he doubted that there were pillars inside that held it up.
Thanks to the class leaders, we entered the dome in an ordered manner. Inside we saw different types of environments that I could only assume were to replicate scenarios where we had to rescue people.
Waiting for us, a person in a space suit stood at the top of a stairwell that led to the bottom of the facility. She waved at us when we came close. "Hello students, I am the rescue hero, Thirteen. Today, I will aid in showing you how to properly rescue someone."
The polite students all bowed to the teacher, me included. Aizawa seemed to be confused and walked up to the rescue hero. He whispered to her so that no one was able to hear them but I caught every word.
"Where is All Might?"
"He went over his limit fighting villains and is back in the teacher's lounge recovering." She held up three fingers.
So All Might was stuck in that muscleless form for now. And judging how thirteen held up three fingers, he must only be able to hold that form for three hours. Three minutes and he wouldn't have been able to hold it during class, three days and he would still have strength from yesterday to teach today.
I was slowly building on what was up with All Might, but like I told myself earlier, it was none of my business. Asking someone about it may cause more problems for a question that doesn't need answers.
Thirteen walked up to the group. "Hello and welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or USJ." Some of the students' thoughts immediately went to the University Studios of Japan which also possessed the symbols of USJ "Before we begin, let me tell you about my quirk. It is called Black Hole. It can absorb anything and turn it to ash."
"Yeah, and you have saved many people with it." Uraraka commented. She appeared to be a huge Thirteen fangirl. Said hero nodded and continued.
"But it can also be used to kill." The mood in the room changed from excitement to uncomfortable. "That is why you must take heed when you use your qui..powers to save people."
Mineta gave a confident smug. "My power doesn't hurt people like all of yours. I could spend more time improving rather than holding back."
"If I have to hold back when I fight, you have to watch out when you fight."
The other students turned to me. Sato spoke up, "Why do you have to hold back?"
"I memorized the entire human anatomy. The reason I did that is because the way I fight, by targeting different parts of the body to chip away at someone's ability to fight properly. However, that means that with powerful enough jabs, I could cause internal bleeding and end up killing my opponent if I put too much power behind my attacks."
Thirteen clapped her hands together. "Thank you for your excellent comment, Ak...eep!" She was wrapped up in Aizawa's scarf. "Leo! Thank you for your comment Leo!" The scarf went away and she took a breath. Apparently Thirteen forgot that my identity was to be kept a secret.
"We are going to split you into groups. Iida, Yaoyorozu, you both will…" Aizawa began. Then he stopped mid-speech and slightly turned around. He wasn't the only one whose senses casted a warning, my energy sense was picking up a new power level nearby.
A black mist had formed in the center of the USJ. After a few moments, a pale figure with hands across his body steps out and is followed by many others who all had a violent aura around their bodies that could only be detected by me. I came to the conclusion that these people were not friendly.
Kirishima took a step forward. "Who are they? Has the training already begun?"
"Stay back!" Aizawa yelled at his students. "Those are villains! Leo, you may not be class leader, but you have the best combat knowledge of the group. Lead the others to safety!."
I yell as my body is enveloped with my ki. "Copy! 1-A, head to the doors! I will cover you." The class begins to sprint to the gate where they entered. All of a sudden the black mist appears between the exit and the group. Yellow eyes are shown to be staring out at us.
"Greetings, future heroes. We are the League of Villains. All Might was supposed to be here but he appears to be absent. For now we will focus on his students before he arriv...BOOM!" a ki ball hits his feet forcing him to back off. I'm about to send a barrage his way but then Bakugou and Kirishima jump in and try to attack the mist up close.
"Bakugou! Kirishima! Wait!" my warning falls on death ears as their attacks completely miss the villain. He looks down at the group.
"You need to be taught proper manners. Let me scatter you all." The black mist begins to surround us. A large patch makes its way into the sky to surround me. I tried to blow it away with pressure from my aura but the villain didn't seem to be affected. "You seem to be more experienced than the rest. I'll send you somewhere especially difficult."
Darkness surrounded me and weightlessness overtook me until I hit the floor with a thud. I grunt from the sudden force. My hand reaches out and braces against the floor and I rise to my feet.
I look around and realize that my view of the area is very limited. The mist villain had teleported his army of thugs onto school grounds. That must have ment he sent me somewhere else. Closing my eyes, my classmates' power levels are still within sensing distance so I must still be in the USJ.
"Well well, look what the cat dragged in. A hero in training, trapped in the dark." A fist comes out of the darkness and catches me in the jaw. The force drives me to my knees as a leg appears and slams into my gut. I yell in pain as more attacks force me to the ground.
"Looks like the boss man only sent us one. Guess we all gotta share. This kid is powerless in the dark of this cave. He'll be dead in minutes."
Cave? Wait, if the USJ was designed to teach future heroes how to rescue people then maybe they would have installed a cave for the experience. That must be where the mist villain had sent me.
Throughout all the strikes the thugs were giving me, my eyes closed. They had caught me off guard by the sudden shift in environment. I needed to regain my composure and fight with my other senses.
Ki burst out of my body, shedding a little bit of light in the cavern. Those around me were thrown back a couple of feet. Rising to my feet, eyes closed, I take a fighting position. My ears picked up blades being summoned. Now that their prey was fighting back they decided to take out the quirks, huh?
"You will regret not finishing me off when you had the chance. This cave not only keeps our eyes from working and allowing your quirks to give you the advantage, it also locks you in here with me. And now that my senses have returned, your advantage is gone. This is no longer my prison. It's yours"
I roar as my body launches at the charging villains.
"Why isn't All Might here?" Shigaraki was scratching his neck. Blood was shown to start running down his hands. He was watching as the pro hero, Eraserhead, was beating the crap out of the pawns he brought with him. The thugs' quirks were continuously being cancelled out when battling him.
Thirteen at the top of the stairs had her back torn open and was currently being held by some of the students as Kurogiri prevented them from leaving. But even with the current pros having been dealt with the reason they were here had yet to show his face.
"Perhaps he is late? Allow me to deal with the strong ones. That is what I am paid for, yes."
Shigaraki turned to his ally in a black cloak. Underneath his cloak, he wore a black biker vest with his bare chest sticking out. Blue jeans covered his lower half as well as rubber boots. His head was bald but a large tattoo of the japanese symbol of brotherhood was stitched over the right side of his face, covering his eye. On his back, a battle axe was sheathed. The blade was glowing with a light that the assassin said was created by his quirk.
"You stay here for now. If what my master says is true then you will help make sure no one interferes with my nomu's fight against All Might." he turned to the beast which was next to him. The Nomu had the head of a bird with an exposed brain and sharp teeth. It's massive frame proof that it contained large strength and scars covered its body.
"Whatever, if no one is tested then my boss will have my head. If no info is collected on these fighters then he will have no data on who will pose a challenge to him." The assassin was clearly having his patience tested.
"Well your boss will have to wait until All Might shows up." Shigaraki then glanced at Eraserhead. The hero had just finished off the final thug with a jab to their throat. They fell to the ground, unconscious. "Actually" a sneer appears below the hand that covered his face. "Why don't you go kill that annoyance. We don't need any cheaters to interfere."
The assassin grinned as he pulled his axe out. He charged at the pro with a roar. Eraserhead muttered at how straight up the villain was and threw his scarf at the guy. He was then taken by surprise when the villain dug his axe into the ground and used it to catapult himself over the cloth.
While mid air, the assassin brung his axe over his head and swung down. Before he could make contact, Eraserhead whipped to the right. The blade dug straight into the ground and it split the earth causing a small chasm.
The hero's eyes glowed red as he brought out his knife from its sheath and slashed at the villains arms. With surprising speed, the villain lifted the handle of his axe so that it blocked the slash. He then shoved himself against the hilt and pushed against Eraserhead.
"You brung a knife to an axe fight! You do realize that is a very stupid idea, don't you." He began to force the pro across the field. Eraserhead tried his quirk on him but quickly learnt that his overwhelming strength was not his quirk.
He wrapped his scarf around the axe and threw it away from the battle. It embedded itself less than two feet from a waterbank. Three students watched in silence inside.
"Eraserhead needs help." Midoriya informed Tsu and Mineta. They had just escaped the flood zone and were waiting for an opening to help their sense. Mineta looked at him as if he grew an extra head.
"What are we supposed to do against that?"
"You die, that's what." The blade next to the group started to glow. It then shot towards Tsu's neck but before it beheaded the frog it stopped in mid-air and fell to the ground. Aizawa had used his quirk on the axe, realizing that it was the real quirk.
"Shoulda stayed focused, hero." A large boom was heard as the assassin struck Eraserhead with a massive punch. Cracking noise came out of his chest. The pro spit out blood before he was thrown backwards violently about fifteen yards before slamming his head against a wall. He slumped against the wall lifelessly and blood began to flow from the back of his head.
"Mr Aizawa, no!" Midoriya jumped at the assassin but before he could make contact the massive beast next to Shigaraki put itself between the two of them. Midoriya had no intention of using his quirk but it had happened anyway. The force of the attack knocked back the other two students and Shigaraki, the assassin didn't seem to budge but he looked at the green haired boy with interest.
"You are strong. Let us battle till you die, boy." The villain jumped over the Nomu and the axe returned to his hand. He began spinning it midair before swinging in an ark towards the boy..
All Midoriya could do was watch as the blade came ever closer. He silently prayed for anything to help them now.
That help came in the form of an explosion at the entrance. The blade stopped less than an inch from his face. The assassin sent a glance towards the gate as did Shigaraki. Then it came to his attention that Kurogiri had appeared next to him.
"One of the students escaped, Shigaraki. I do apologize." The hand villain turned to the warp gate villain. He began scratching his neck again but soon stopped and sneered.
"Well apparently it was for the better because now he has arrived."
Out of the dust, a large figure appeared and walked out. His usual smile was gone and a look of fury crossed his face. His suit he wore was tattered and he gripped his tie and ripped it off. The assassin gripped his axe and turned to the newcomer, a grin covered his face.
"Do not worry, children! For I am here!" All Might yelled.
