Chapter 7: Attack part 2
It had been around ten minutes since my battle with the thugs began. Since then they had yet to land a single blow. I was weaving around gunshots and blades as they try to get a lock on me. Unfortunately for them, everytime they tried to hit me I would redirect it to another thug.
A rather large female with rather large prosthetic arms threw a punch at me. I used the flowing water crushing rock to redirect it to a gunman that had tried to get a point blank shot on me. The poor guy was struck through a wall and was rendered unconscious.
The woman looked at the gunman before receiving several jabs to her pressure points and even a few to her metal arms. They dropped to the ground, having been dislocated from her stumps. She fell backwards from the effect of her pressure points and I moved onto the next opponent.
I heard a click behind me and sensed someone's ki darkened, indicating that whoever it was intended to kill me. Machine Gun fire was heard throughout the cave. Since I couldn't see the bullets my instinct was to raise my energy, strengthening the aura around me. The bullets hit the aura and dropped to the ground. Once the guy ran out of bullets and the magazine dropped to the ground, I dashed at him and rammed a knee into his jaw.
When that guy dropped my ki pulsed out to reveal other enemies to me. Three thugs had charged at me from different directions. My body leaps into the air and the three collide beneath me. I drop on top of them and force them into the rock below me.
Suddenly, a loud screech is heard and I clutch my ears as the soundwave crosses the cave. Falling to my knees, my hand reaches out to create an orb that I use to get a look at the attacker. She had features similar to a bat and she was letting out scream that must have been advanced echo location. The energy disappeared from my hand as I put both my hands flat in front of my forehead before gathering energy there.
"Solar Flare!" A blinding light crosses the cave. The screeching becomes a yell of pain as she drops to the ground. Her bat senses, which must have been enhanced, had taken the full force of the blinding light and she was rolling around the ground trying to see. I walk up to her and knock her out.
Another click is heard as a bullet whistles through the air. I put my arm in front of my face as the bullet buries itself into the cloth. My suit was designed to take a 7.62 bullet and not tear. The 9mm that just struck me may have hurt but it didn't do much damage. The muzzle flash let me see that the shooter had a cloth over his eyes so I assumed he was blind, hence why he wasn't blinded.
My hand raises towards his direction before my ki creates a force that knocks him into a wall. He falls to the ground and that is when I realize, he was the last one.
"About time." My hand reaches for the ground as I pulse the cave. The exit is farther down to my right. I make my way there but immediately sense a spike in life energy, as well as one that was nearly diminished.
I recognized one of the strong ones as All Might's weird energy. One of the others must have escaped and brought back reinforcements. He was battling it out with another strong pressure. My senses then went to the weak energy and I recognized it immediately. Aizawa.
I sprint for the exit, praying that it wasn't too late.
(Tokoyami's POV)
Tokoyami had gotten the short end of the stick.
He and Koda were surrounded by thugs in the storm section of the USJ. Many of them wielded weapons while some had their quirks active. Dark Shadow was strengthened by the lack of sunlight but he still couldn't protect both, Koda and I.
Koda's quirk was next to useless in this situation because there were no animals for him to call to. Whenever a villain got close he would run behind Dark Shadow.
A man with a glock and a glowing eye, swung his gun towards me. Dark Shadow darted at him and threw him down the street. A female replaced him and tried to shoot me from the side but when a gust of wind blew her off balance. I charge at her and do what Hop did to Leo.
Kneed her in the kidney. She clutched her side and fell to the ground in pain. Dark Shadow then moved in and knocked her out with a swipe. He would need to thank Hop for the fighting tips.
Koda moved in to punch a thug but he just let the fist slam into his chest. The kid screamed in pain as he had punched while his thumb was inside his hand. Said thumb was twisted and appeared to be broken. The thug smirked before getting slammed by Dark Shadow.
Seeing Koda in pain pissed me off and my quirk fed off that. If there had been any more light then he would have gone berserk. Instead, Dark Shadow grew three times as big and started taking villains down left and right. Several tried shooting him but the bullets did nothing to the wall of Darkness.
I grabbed Koda and led him to the center of Dark Shadow. The boy began yelling at Dark Shadow to try to control his rage. It appeared to work since the quirk started holding back when attacking.
All of a sudden a huge shockwave knocked all the rain out of the sky. The ground shook and windows shattered. I look up and see a tear in the ceiling and the huge villain from earlier flew out the other end of the structure.
This can only be explained with two words.
All Might
(All Might's POV)
Toshinori struggled to stand up. Steam was rising from his body. He only had enough power to keep his form up for another five minutes but he couldn't maintain the strength. He looked on at the three remaining villains. The mist villain, the hand villain, and the axe wielder.
"Surrender now villains. You stand no chance against me." All Might put on a confident face. But the axe wielder only smirked.
"Please, you can barely stand as it is. Your students have already been defeated." He was right. Whenever Bakugou, Kirishima, Todoroki, and Midoriya had tried to enter the fight to help All Might, they had immediately been challenged by the axe wielder.
He had grabbed Midoriya and used him as a shield against Bakugou who had sent an explosion anyway at him, seriously injuring the green haired kid in the process. The assassin had then knocked out Bakugou with the hilt of his axe and it started hovering on its own and attacking Kirishima. The blade was too sharp for the hardening quirk and it had cut him up pretty bad. Todoroki couldn't use his ice with his classmates in the way. The axe, after knocking Kirishima out, had flown straight into the back of Todoroki's head but it only knocked him out since it was once again the hilt that made contact.
The students were all knocked out behind All Might. He had managed to send the assassin back with his battle against the Nomu. But now he stood between them and the remaining villains, and it appeared the assassin had no intention of backing down.
The hand villain, now named Shigaraki, looked on at All Might. "You defeated Nomu. How? He was designed to defeat you." he began scratching his neck again. Kurogiri, however, hovered over his shoulder.
"Our assassin ally is right. All Might is weakened. Let us leave it to him to finish him off." Shigaraki stopped scratching. He turned to the axe wielder. The assassin had a look of bloodlust on his face.
"Fine. You have until the heroes arrive. Until then, kill away."
The assassin jumped at me. I held my breath, believing that if this was the end at least he could protect the kids.
Forgive me, Young Midoriya. Your path would have to be taken without me.
All of a sudden, a streak came out of nowhere and slammed into the assassin. He was sent flying to the side but stopped his momentum with his axe. After a couple of feet he came to a stop.
"Who dares challenge me." He rose to his feet and ripped his black cloak off his shoulders. The axe's glow began to intensify.
"I dare."
I looked at the newcomer and the smile that I had struggled to maintain grew.
Leo was here.
When I had seen the situation I dashed in to slam into the villain before he could attack All Might. His life energy was almost completely drained and he looked like he would lose that muscle form he loved so much.
Looking over at Tsu and Mineta, who were standing over Aizawa, I reach into the pocket of the top of my gi and pull out a senzu bean. The bean goes flying into the air and Tsu catches it. "Give that to Aizawa. It will heal his wounds."
Tsu does as I say and puts the bean into his mouth and leans his head back so that he would swallow it. The wounds close on his body and his eyes jerk open. He whips his head around to get a hold of the situation.
That was the only senzu I carried on me. The amount grown wouldn't have allowed much more to be carried at a time. If I had given it to All Might then Aizawa would have bled to death.
My eyes return to the guy in front of me. He held his axe over his shoulders as he sized me up. "You are different, you have great skill. You fit the bill just nicely." he began stretching his limbs. "Before we begin, let me tell you who I am."
"I am the assassin known as Bladedge. I have been hired to see if any of you pose a threat. If you die you are meaningless. Now tell me boy, who are you?" He pointed the sharp edge of his axe towards me.
"I'm Leo." I then charge. My hands whip around, collecting the moisture in the air. My battles against Hop had improved my martial arts and it was time to see how much.
"Fist of Flowing Water Crushing Rock!" Several blue steams launch at Bladedge. He raises his axe to block the attacks but they weave around it and strike him in several pressure points around his chest. He falls back before flipping back up and swings his axe in an upwards manner. I redirect the attack towards the air but the assassin kicks me in the chest, forcing me back. He jumps into the air and puts his axe under his feet. My body ignites with my ki and the battle takes to the sky.
We both start disappearing and reappearing across the sky. During our battle, I notice Aizawa helping the four knocked out students to their feet. My attention immediately returns to the battle. The assassin is throwing haymakers which I easily dodge. Why he hasn't collapsed from the trauma he was getting is beyond me.
The others could only watch in disbelief as the assassin and quirkless hero-in-training battle in the sky. Bakugou grit his teeth. If stupid Deku hadn't gotten in his way he would have blown that axewhole away. Now the quirkless student was showing him up.
Bladedge grabbed the blade below him and spun around swinging the axe with him. I lean back to avoid the blade and place a foot on his chest. A ki blast shoots out of my foot and blows him to the side of the dome. I collide with him and we have a pushing contest with his back to the wall and the axe in between us.
Suddenly the blade begins to glow and it begins to electrocute me. I let go and he swung the axe in front of me, an energy wave was created and it threw me across the sky. My ki forces me to a stop as it begins to condense into a purple ball in front of my wrist. My other hand is place behind it as my whole aura becomes purple.
"Galick Gun" my hands shoot straight towards the assassin and the beam charges at him. He pulls his axe behind his head and throws it. He then grips the wall so he doesn't fall. The blade cuts through my attack until it reaches me. I catch the blade as it passed where my head once was and throw it back towards the sky.
The axe then flies back to Bladedge as he jumps towards me. He catches it and tries to swing it again at me to create that energy wave again. I reach out and grab the handle, then my fist imbeds itself into his stomach and he rockets towards the ground. But just as quickly, he jumps up and we collide in the sky. A boom is heard around the USJ. He places the axe underneath him again as he starts throwing haymakers at me again. I use the crushing rock to stop his attacks and continue to lay into him.
He grabs my arms and tries to knee me in the chin, my counter is to flip backwards in his grip and kick him off his axe. The blade then flies at my neck but I catch it and my energy increases to its maximum. The assassin, who was on his ass on the ground, could only look up in horror as I started squeezing my hands against the blade.
With a roar, I snap the blade in half and a glowing shockwave spreads throughout the USJ. The remains of the axe fall to the feet of the assassin. He crawls to the shards and holds them in cupped hands.
"You think that this means you have won!" His axe was his quirk. Without it he didn't have the will to fight. But he looked at me with fury. "My brothers will avenge me! We have all been given the task to test you all!" He jumps to his feet with the stick portion of his axe in his hand. "And I will be damned if I lose to a runt!"
Ice then began climbing his leg. He tried to move but in the end was unable too. Bakugou shot forward and uppercutted the man out of the ice. A following explosion flew him into the air. I suddenly appear above him and shoot a full power ki attack into the air. This drives me towards him and my feet ram into his stomach. With the built momentum, we slam into the ground at max speed.
When the smoke cleared, I was standing over the nearly unconscious body of the assassin. His left arm was crooked and the remains of his axe had fallen out of his hand. He looked up at me."He is coming" he gave a bloody smile. A tooth was hanging out of his mouth. "And you can't do a damn thing to stop him."
Aizawa's scarf came out of nowhere and pulled the assassin to the teacher. The hero looked him in the eyes. "Who hired you?" All Might watched from behind the destroyed rubble in his skinny form. He too wanted an answer.
"We were hired in an agreement between two forces. He will return. They will return." He then looked at the heroes before them, then turned to Shigaraki and Kurogiri as they were teleporting away. "Tell my brothers of the one they call Leo."
Then he looked at Aizawa one last time. "We are the brotherhood." And he then, using a small piece of his axe he had in his hand, stabbed himself in the throat. The onlookers could only look on in horror as he fell to the ground dead. Then his body began to glow white before disappearing into white dust.
Groans began filling the air. We turn to see all the thugs that were knocked out earlier were now getting back up. I return to a fighting stance. "Get ready, round 2 is around the corner!"
But before anyone could launch themselves, a bullet cuts through the air and hits one of the villains in the arm. He falls to the ground screaming, blood flowing down his limb. All Might turned to the entrance. "It's about time they got here."
Standing in the doorway were the many teachers of UA. Iida stood beside them yelling out that he brought reinforcements. A wounded thirteen was seen being carried by Mina and Uraraka. Nezu was at the front, giving orders to the teachers on where they were to help out.
Soon, Ectoplasm had thrown several copies of himself around the USJ. A few ran past me and started heading towards the cave area I had been a little bit ago. Cementoss walked over to us but was waved away by Aizawa who went to check on his nearby students.
After about five minutes, Present Mike could be seen leading Tokoyami and Koda out of a miniature dome. I ran up to him, "You good?" He gives me a nod but turns to the other boy. Koda was still shaking and his hand was crooked. My hand comes to rest on his shoulder.
"It's over Koda. You're safe." He looks at me for a moment before leaping out and hugging me. I'm taken by surprise but pat him on the back to try to calm him down. The poor kid must have been through hell. Fortunately he appeared to only have minor wounds.
Over at another dome, smoke poured out of the entrance. Ojiro was seen being escorted by Power Loader out of the area. He appeared to be covered with ash but otherwise seemed unharmed. I gently let go of Koda and sent him on his way with Present Mike to the medical area that had been set up. The tail kid walked over to me. He looked me up and down before responding. "How many were hurt."
"From what we know, no one has been killed. Any injuries are pretty minor but many are shaken up. If you see a classmate struggling, give them a helpful hand." He agreed and made his way to the gate.
For the rest of the day, I went around trying to calm down any of my classmates that were shaken up by today's attack. It took forever for me to convince Mina that Thirteen would be okay. Hagakure had informed me that she was dropped with Todoroki and she was in need of some warm clothes, which she received from my clothes beam.
Once the students were questioned by police, Aizawa put a hand on my shoulder. "Thank you for helping out your classmates, and for saving my hide. I underestimated you, Leo." My response is to give him a thumbs up and he moves over to a detective to learn more about the attackers.
Once I'm on the bus, the others look at me. I made my way to the back where there was one seat left. Only when my body straight up collapses on it that the others start getting concerned. Across from me, Todoroki tries to wave a hand in front of my face.
"I'm fine, just very tired." My body had just sent several powerful attacks at the assassin. Normally my ki doesn't exert energy like that but today my body was pushed to the limit. Not only that but I was mentally exhausted from helping so many of my classmates. It all summed up with me needing a very long nap.
A hand pushes me back up in my seat. Tokoyami looks at me and tells me to get some rest. I happily obliged and let sleep take over me.
Fire
Everything was on fire.
I was running down a hallway that never seemed to end. The windows were covered in flames and the walls were starting to collapse. The air was filled with smoke but my legs wouldn't stop as they seemed to be moving on their own.
Looking behind me, a tsunami of burning chains crawls its way towards me. For whatever reason my body won't go any faster. My speed was that of a normal person.
Spotting a door, I dive inside and shut the door behind me. The chains appeared to go right past, leaving me alone. My back goes against the door, my breathing is rapid.
After a moment, my eyes surveyed the room. It appeared to be a factory, barrels were set everywhere and large machines towered over me. The room was dark with only a few overhead lights on. One of which was flickering.
The machines start up suddenly leaving me to jump with surprise. Steam starts flowing out of the top and a clunking sound is heard.
I hear footsteps behind me and my eyes turn to see a figure disappear behind a machine. My body sprints across the ground to give chase to the individual. When I turn the corner a short being wrapped in a black cloak is looking away from me.
My thoughts immediately tell me that they are a child, but I approach with caution anyway. My hand reaches out and grabs their shoulder. They slowly turn around and reveal a familiar face.
My nightmares always had me as a child in them so the surprising part wasn't that it was a ten year old me. It was that my eyes were glowing orange and black veins had crossed my body.
Before I could react, the younger me leaps forward and grabs the side of my head with surprising force. His eyes turn into that of an animal and his teeth sharp as knives.
"You cannot escape!" He yells at me. "He follows you! Your battles will attract him!"
A glow is produced from his chest and a hole appears through him. He collapses on me and my eyes turn to the flaming wolf behind him.
Daemon sneers at me before firing another shot straight through my chest.
"AAAHHH" I woke up and sent something next to me flying across the room. My body is soon wrapped with a cloth and people surround me to hold me down but my struggles seem to throw them around the room. However, my body begins to calm down and I eventually stop struggling.
I look around and flinch at the condition of those around me. I was in the UA nurses office with Recovery Girl looking at me with surprise. As to why, well that would be because there were several students around me who I may have tossed around the room.
One wasn't a student, Aizawa, had half his body outside the room with his legs still inside. He must have been the one who wrapped the cloth around me. The pro slowly got to his feet and held his head.
Some of the others included Tokoyami, Shoji, Midoriya,Uraraka, and Tsu. They didn't seem to be too hurt and had been the ones who had held me down. Everyone looks at me before Tsu responds, "Welcome to the land of the living, Leo. You look like you just saw a ghost."
"Would one of you go and collect that red haired boy that went flying out the window?" Recovery Girl replied. I flinch again. Was that thing that went flying away Kirishima?
Tsu went to the window and poked her head out. Her tongue shot out of her mouth and a couple seconds later, Kirishima came flying back in. He landed beside the bed and gave me a grin. "Well, it's good to know you are an ally. That actually hurt."
Everyone moved into different positions around my bed. Aizawa remained by the doorway with scarf in hand. My apologies didn't get much out of him. He furrowed his brow. "What was that?"
"It was just a nightmare. It usually takes a few seconds for me to snap out of it." He looked unsure still but kept quiet. Tsu walked up to me.
"We just came here after the bus ride. Aizawa said that this would be the best place for you to recover so Tokoyami carried you here with Dark Shadow." His bird headed friend raised a hand to greet him.
"You did amazing, Leo. You put up a better fight than most pros." Kirishima slugged him in the arm. I gave a slight smile but immediately looked down.
"It was not your fault Bladedge did what he did." Aizawa had seemed to notice my reaction to the fight. "That was the villain's choice, and one you couldn't have done anything about."
My eyes went to my hands. That man was so far gone that he would rather die than be captured. He hoped that wasn't a recurring thing.
Then while looking at my hands, I notice my watch. It takes me a moment but a scream of realization hits me. The others jump in shock and look around to see what caused the outcry.
"I need to call my sister!" On this revelation, everyone slumped over with relief. Tsu had a smile on her face. It was good to know that another classmate had a sibling they took care of. Aizawa left the room and went down the hallway, mumbling that he needed a break.
"Why don't you call her now?" Midoriya spoke up, "Let us get a chance to meet her." The others agreed with Midoriya. At this point it would be cruel if I didn't call her now. My hand reached for my watch and rotated it so that it moved to one of my few contacts. Once the calling notification popped up, we all waited for the phone to be picked up.
A tumble could be heard on the other end and the call began. "Leo, how's it going? You don't usually call this early, did something happen?" I think about what I'm going to say. On one hand I didn't want her to worry about me, but on the other she deserved to know about the attack.
Tsu seemed to notice my dismay and spoke up. "Hello, Luna. Ribbit, I'm a friend of your brothers." I look at her in confusion. "Don't worry Leo is here, but he is trying to figure out how to explain a situation with you."
"What situation? Wait, this may make things way simpler." she can be heard clearing her throat. "The only thing interesting today that happened was that some robbery happened down the street, however it was stopped within two minutes. There, that was my day. Now explain, Leo."
Everyone was taken aback at how she reacted. Tsu was trying not to laugh because even though Leo has shown to be horrible at conversations and wasn't smart when starting them, it appeared his sister didn't share that same trait.
"Well Luna, you see something major kind of happened today." my voice was low and Tokoyami was surprised to see me like this. He had never seen me this nervous before. "We were taking an unexpected school trip when...we...kinda...got...attacked by villains."
The phone is quiet for a moment before a loud voice is heard on the other end. "WHAT!" Everyone clutches their ears as they didn't expect for her to yell louder than All Might into the phone.
"No one is dead. I just thought you should know. The only thing that happened to me specifically was that I fell asleep on the ride back to the school. Hence, why I'm in a bed surrounded by friends."
She seemed to calm down after that. "It's good to hear you are safe. Wait, can your friends hear me right now?"
"We can hear you loud and clear Luna" Midoriya called out. The others gave agreements as well.
"Well here me out, this guy you are friends with tends to get put in situations that give everyone trouble. Do me a favor and try to keep out of trouble." She called out over the phone.
Tsu gave a slight chuckle. "We will try but it feels like your brother has been helping us out more than he needs it. Although if that changes we will be sure to keep him in line."
"Thank you! Also, Leo, Tokoyami, Hop called me and said that she wanted to talk to you about something that was happening in a week. Says she needs you two for something." Tokoyami and I fidget where we are. If Hop needs something then it must involve fighting, which meant we were about to get our asses kicked.
"By the way let me properly introduce myself. My name is Luna. Leo's twin brother."
"What!" Everyone screamed. I flinch at the loud volume. Then it sets in that I had yet to explain to them about my past involving my age.
"Uh, it looks like Leo has got some explaining to do later." Luna could be heard feeling guilty. "Sorry, Leo."
"It's fine, I'll explain after the call." With the looks everyone gave me, the conversation that followed will be a long one. "Until then, I'll take a picture of the group and send it to you."
Shoji immediately grabbed everybody and brought everyone, except me, together. I point my hand towards the group and the other presses a button on the watch that snaps a photo of them. Immediately, a notification sound pops up on Luna's end.
"The one on the far left is Tokoyami. The guy with the bird head and the little Dark Shadow poking out of his cloak." said teen looked down and only now realized that Dark Shadow had photobombed him.
"Aw, that little guy is cute. And you look pretty cool, Tokoyami."
"It is an honor to meet you, Luna. Me and Dark Shadow both send you greetings."
"Hi" Dark Shadow floated up to the watch.
"The one to his left is Kirishima. The manliest man you will ever meet."
Kirishima punched his fist together. "You better believe it! Luna, you should be proud to have such a manly brother."
"Well you certainly sound manly, Kirishima. Nice red hair."
"Then there is Midoriya. He breaks his bones with his power but has shown to have the courage to fight any opponent."
"Hi, my full name is Izuku Midoriya. If you feel like calling me Izuku, that's okay."
"Hello, Izuku. You look like you have a good heart and sound like it too. Try to keep it will ya."
"Then we move over to Uraraka. Her quirk lets her give anything zero gravity. She has a very bubbly personality and is a very nice person."
"Luna, you sound so cute. If you ever need anything, tell Leo and he'll notify me, okay."
"Sounds like a plan. I may have you chop the back of his head whenever he starts acting like an idiot."
"Then there is Tsuyu Asui, she has many similarities to a frog. She is not afraid to tell you what she thinks, and honestly that may be what makes her a great friend."
"You can call me Tsu. I have a sibling similar to you in age. Maybe one day I could meet you face to face."
"I hope so too, Tsu. Don't be afraid to put Leo down a notch. Sometimes the situation requires it."
"Then last but not least, Shoji. He has multiple limbs and is pretty quiet but has shown to be a great friend."
"Good afternoon, Luna. Leo has said many great things about you."
"It's good to meet you Shoji. I like the mask."
"And that appears to be everybody present." Everyone's mood was raised very high with this conversation. Luna had a way of lifting everybodies spirits.
"I'll leave you to explain your past. Thank you for calling, Leo. It's nice to meet all of you."
"Bye Luna!" the group all yelled at once. We heard the phone click and the call ended. Suddenly, everyone's eyes turn to me. Tsu spoke. "Leo, explain to us why Luna is your twin sister, yet she is way younger than you."
I take a deep breath. Everytime my story was told my chest would resonate with pain and run the risk of a panic attack occurring. Which is why I tended to avoid the conversation. "Let me start from the beginning."
And so I told them the whole story. How I was trained by a soldier, that a demon had put me under a curse, how the soldier who trained me also raised me, and eventually I explained how I got here. They all looked at me with concern throughout the story. Tokoyami had already heard the part about Chris but he had no idea that I was actually ten years old.
I kept out the part about Rampant and Neo, also the fact that my nightmares restart my pain. They weren't important to my backstory. But when Daemon was brought up, whose name was avoided, Neo appeared and layed next to me as sort of a support animal to calm me down. He had been quiet this entire time which was probably because he didn't want me to be on edge with him around.
"So let me get this straight." Shoji spoke up. "You are older and younger than us at the same time."
"Yep"
"You threw me out the window because of a nightmare." Kirishima spoke up.
"Uh huh"
"You were trained by a killer." Midoriya whispers.
"Well he is a soldier, but yeah."
"Well that explains why you threw around everyone when you woke up."
I had completely forgotten that Recovery Girl was in the room for the entirety of this conversation.
"If you want, Leo. You could put a request in to see a school therapist. I'm sure the Principal would have no problem getting you one."
Upon hearing this, Neo put his head on my lap and gave my puppy eyes. He seemed to be down on the idea. My thoughts went back to the nightmares. If I could get over my fear of the demon, then maybe my future would be worth something a bit more.
"If it isn't too much trouble, I will consider it." The school nurse gave a smile before digging into a drawer. She pulled out a stack of papers and gave them to me.
"You will need to fill this out when you have the time. We will probably inform some of the higher ups about this but we will keep the reason a secret. Until then try to get some rest." She then walks out and beckons for the rest of the group to leave.
Once the door shuts behind them my back hits the mattress. After a few minutes of tossing and turning, I start thinking more about the assassin that was apart of the villain group we now know as the League of Villains.
Bladedge had said he was hired to test us. Hired by who? From what he got, it wasn't just one buyer. He said that his brotherhood was hired as an agreement between two forces. Could more dangerous enemies be lurking in the shadows?
Realizing I wasn't going to sleep on this bed, I wrote a note saying 'Went home, couldn't sleep here' then jumped through the window and started sprinting back to my apartment.
