Chapter 3: Neighborhood Watch
A couple of weeks later, Noah was sitting on the front porch when he heard a car pull up, and someone gets out saying, "Mr. Puckerman, this is Sergeant Micheal Young." Noah crosses his arms and says, "It's been two weeks since Mrs. Turner came home from the hospital and you're coming to talk to me, now?" Then Sergeant Young says, "This is not about that or your security system for that matter. It's about the man that tried to kill your niece."
Then Burt comes out asking, "What about him?" Sergeant Young looks at Burt as he says, "He escaped from prison and is reportedly headed here." This makes Noah storm back into the house after Sergeant Young leaves, and he takes out all his guns. Before he loads them with the proper ammunition. Then Burt says, "Puck, don't you think you're going a little overboard here." Noah just continues to load his guns as he says, "Tell that to, Beth, Carole, Kurt, and Blaine, Mr. H! That son of a bitch killed people we love and I am not losing Liza Marie or Quinn or you! Azimio almost killed us and I am not giving him the chance to do it again!" Then he turns around with Burt's rifle in his hands and says, "Now, you can either join me here or you can hide in here like a coward!"
After a week of seeing the men outside with their guns, Santana thought the two men were going mental. Until she was face to face with Azimio in her own home. She just kept her cool and texts Noah saying, "Z is here!" As she was in her bathroom pretending to go pee. An hour later, Azimio is on the phone talking to a negotiator. While Santana was tied to her bed naked after Azimio attacked her from behind and raped her. Of course, the rape didn't stop just because the cops were there, and Santana prayed that Noah and Burt would save her soon. It wasn't until after she was raped for the fortieth time. Noah stormed in to save her and shot Azimio as he stormed in. Soon after that, Santana is living with Noah because the memories of the attack made her house feel unsafe.
Not long after Santana moved in, she and Quinn were in Liza Marie's room getting it ready for a slumber party. When Santana says, "Ha, remember all the parties Kurt had in this room?" Quinn chuckles as she says, "Ha, I remember the guys always having to carry Artie up and down the steps. Ha, I bet he is up in heaven asking Kurt why didn't someone build a ramp for him. Mrs. A. gave Puck Artie's gloves he always wore and help me design the house before you guys woke up." Soon Quinn heard a loud bang and saw the table put in the room tipped over while Santana was on the floor crying.
Before Quinn could say a word, Liza Marie ran down the ramp and hugs Santana as she says, "Z is an asshole, Auntie Tana! I miss dada and papa so much some days my chest hurts! I hate that Z hurt you twice and that Nono is blind! But crying over what happen won't bring them back!" Soon Santana chuckles as she says to Liza Marie, "Thanks, Little She-Hulk, I needed that. Now, help me get your room ready for the party"
Two hours later, while the adults were in the living room. They heard the girls scream just before the alarm system went off. As Burt and Quinn go to check on the girls, Santana and Noah go outside and Santana sees a truck with its brights on. Then Noah aimed his gun and fired before someone screamed, "I thought you said he was blinded! Holy shit! I think I got glass in my eye!" Then Noah fires again and hears a group of voices say, "Come on, man! Let's get out of here!" Then the lights are dimmed and Santana can see that there was still someone in the truck. He revs the engine just before Noah aims again, and the cops arrive in time to arrest the guy in the truck. Soon they find out it was the same guy that tried to hurt Ester.
After that, Noah was campout on the porch day and night for the next three weeks. He was relying on his other senses more and getting better at using them. One day Liza Marie was in the backyard watching him do high sidekicks and roundhouse kicks. At one point his neighbors came out with their cellphones and Liza Marie went to get his nunchucks. As Burt and Santana watched Noah they noticed how Liza Marie's face beamed. When Noah was finished with his workout, Liza Marie took his hand and Burt saw a tear roll down Noah's cheek. It was at that moment that he knew the real reason Noah was doing all this.
