Chapter 4: A Child's Love

A week later, Burt and Noah were on the porch, when Burt says, "She's not Beth, Puck."

Noah chuckles as he says, "I know, Mr. H. you don't think I know that?! God, Mr. H, some days I can't be around Liza Marie, because she reminds me of Beth."

Then Quinn comes out of the house and says, "You're not the only one that thought that Puck. When you, Santana, and Mr. H. were in comas, that was all I thought about. The day you and Mr. H. woke up, she yelled at me after I called her Beth for like the fortieth time. Ha, it was her yelling that woke both of you up."

Then Quinn looked at Liza Marie, as she was watching television, and she asks Burt, "Do you think Kurt and Beth are okay with her bonding with Puck?"

Then Noah says, "Beth might be, but I bet anything, Kurt is freaking out right now. Plus, Elizabeth, Finn, and Blaine might be taking turns calming him down."

Soon Burt lightly hits Noah in the shoulder and asks Quinn, "Did you find that yellow diary?"

Quinn starts to giggle as she says, "Oh, yeah, I found it. Ha, and let's just say. I'm so glad Puck can't see to read it."

Then they heard Liza Marie say, "But I can and I know how to read too. By the way, Nono, Dada's first crush wasn't Uncle Finn and I used this diary as blackmail to get Dada to make you two my godparents. After I read that he was still crushing on you when Queenie was pregnant with Aunt Beth. He didn't even care that you weren't like him and wanted to ride something you had."

Then Liza Marie screams, "Ew! You named your winkie! Gross! Dada's birthday!" Before they heard her run to the upstairs bathroom.

Quinn was the one that went to get the diary and says, "Wow, Mr. H. you better be glad Kurt got you and Mrs. H. together. Ha, and Puck you better be glad he moved on to Finn. Looks like he was wanting someone like Mr. H. and he thought you were the guy Puck."

Then Santana is heard saying, "You can't fool me, young lady. You are crushing on Daddy Puck and you know it."

Before Liza Marie says, "Oh, shut it, Auntie Tana!"

Then Noah goes back into the house and says to Liza Marie, "Squirt, I do love you, but I have Mama Quinn, and I'm too old for you."

Soon Liza Marie is taking his hand and says, "I know, Daddy. I'm sorry, I'm not Aunt Beth."

Then Noah falls to his knees and says to her, "Before I woke up, I was dreaming of watching Beth grow up, and when you took my hand. I made a promise to myself, that I was going to be the best daddy ever. Liza Marie, I hate that I couldn't save Beth, or your dads, and miss Beth so much it hurts to be around you."

Soon, Liza Marie is hugging Noah as she says, "I love you, Daddy. I have always loved you more than anyone else. You are my heart and I know I can't replace Aunt Beth or that you can't replace my dads. But I will never stop loving you and you are my hero."

After this, Noah gets up and goes to Liza Marie's room. When they come back out, she has on boxing gloves, and he takes her to his punching bag in the backyard.

Then he puts her down and says as he holds the bag, "I want you to pretend this bag is Z and hit it as hard as you can,"

Soon she was hitting the bag and saying, "You crazy motherfucker! Why did you kill people I love?! I hate you!"

As she was hitting the bag, Noah was having a hard time standing still and asked Quinn, "Babe, what really happened that day?"

Liza Marie was the one that answers saying, "We both were fighting Z together, then he took Grandpa Burt's gun you got him for Christmas and started shooting everybody. Uncle Pooper did get me and Queenie out then went back in. I went back in after hearing Nana Carole scream, you and Grandpa Burt were running out as I was going back in. You tried to get the gun away from Z and got shot in the head. By the way, I have been using your weight bench since I moved in."

Then Noah says, "How? None of the weights were moved!"

Soon Liza Marie was lifting Noah over her head and Santana says, "So, it wasn't just because of her anger."

Then Santana says to the others, "Blaine, was calling her Little She-Hulk for years, and I thought it was because of her anger. Ha, he wanted to call her She-Puck, but Kurt threw a fit over that. I guess Blaine found the diary first and just said that to get under Kurt's skin."

As soon as Noah was put down, he says, "Ha, If Rachel knew about this, she would be freaking out."

Liza Marie giggles as she says, "You don't remember her freaking out when we fought with Z. Do you? She was trying to get Papa and Grandpa Burt to stop me. But all they did was watch and Dada was trying to get her to be quiet."

Then Liza Marie started to cry and scream, "I wish I was the one that didn't remember any of this! I'm almost seven and have to take the same medicine as Daddy!"

Noah asks, "She takes PTSD meds too? Why wasn't I told this?"

No one said a word and Noah takes Liza Marie back inside.

Soon the others find them in Liza Marie's bed asleep as Tim McGraw's song My Little Girl plays on repeat on Liza Marie's iPod.

Before they left the room, they heard Noah say in his sleep, "You're my little girl, I love you, Liza Marie."
