Hey babes! Back again with a new chapter for ya! This one's a little on the shorter side, but still a fun one.
Enjoy!
"I can't believe she's already a year old," Skye remarks as she bounces Sammy in her arms in the Craft Services area during lunch. She and Lance had thankfully been able to arrange to have a small party thrown for Sammy on set since they're both working all day and won't be able to be at an actual party at the apartment. It helps that Sammy doesn't have any real friends yet since she's not old enough to be in school. All the people who are closest to her are all adults, and many of them work on the show. So it's perfect.
"How do you think I feel?" Bobbi shoots back, relaxing in a chair at one of the many tables, a slice of birthday cake on a plate in front of her. "It's crazy how fast time flies when you've got a kid."
"Mamamama."
Bobbi smiles sweetly at her daughter. "Hi, peanut. Are you having fun with Auntie Skye?"
Skye lets out a light, plateful scoff. "Of course she is. I'm her favorite person in the world besides you and Lance. Isn't that right, Sammy?" She smiles brightly at her niece, shaking one of her hands and pressing a kiss to the little girl's cheek. "I am your most favorite person in the world ever."
"I'd have to argue with you on that," Lance speaks up as he approaches them. "Because I am definitely my daughter's favorite person in the world."
"That's a complete lie," Skye responds with a laugh, continuing to gently bounce Sammy in her arms. "We all know that it is. Because clearly, I am her favorite person in the world. I'm Bobbi's favorite person in the world so it makes sense that I'm going to be her daughter's favorite person too."
Lance blinks a few times. "Yeah, I don't think that's how genetics works."
Skye shrugs. "Doesn't matter. It's the truth."
"Okay," Bobbi interrupts with an eye roll. "I'm going to break this up before you both start throwing things."
"Good idea," Skye replies. "And thank goodness I thought to change my shirt before lunch because your kid has gotten frosting all over it." She laughs quietly as she looks down at her niece, taking note of the bright-colored frosting covering her face and hands. "You just love making all sorts of messes, huh?"
Sammy just smiles and then pats at Skye's chest again, babbling incoherent nonsense.
"Oh, it's a good thing that I love you so much." She holds Sammy closer and presses a kiss to her cheek. "Happy birthday, sweet girl."

Happy birthday, my sweet, precious little chubalub. Auntie Skye loves you to pieces, to the moon and back. Quit getting older, though, I don't think your parents can handle it. Neither can I. You're the sweetest baby in the world and I'm so glad I get to be your auntie. #mysammy #birthdaygirl
IMGrantWard She is beyond adorable. She really does love her auntie Skye
HunterLance You know, I really hate it when you hog my kid all day.

Seems crazy that it was only a year ago that you came into my life. You were certainly unexpected, but I love you with all my heart, my beautiful girl. You have brought so much more meaning to my life and I can't imagine not being your mom. You truly are the best thing to ever happen to me.
DrLincoln You're such a great mom, Bobbi. Happy birthday, Sammy. :)
SkyesTheLimit Aww! My sweet baby! This photo made me cry. Can't believe it's been a year. Love you both! Happy birthday, Sammy!

My beautiful girl is a year old today. Can't believe how fast the time has gone. Her mum brought her to the set so we could celebrate her special day properly. Daddy loves you so much, peanut. Happy birthday.
SkyesTheLimit I love this picture so much! Love you, chubalub! :*
"How much of this do you think she's actually going to remember?" Skye asks as she and Bobbi lead Sammy down the sidewalk, each of them holding onto one of the toddler's hands. Bobbi carries Sammy's trick-or-treat bucket in her other hand, the few pieces of candy inside of it sliding it around as they walk.
"None of it, most likely," Bobbi responds. "I mean...she might remember the general feeling of being happy or whatnot, but she definitely won't remember any details. She's still a little bit too young for that."
Skye nods. "Yeah, that makes sense."
As they approach the next house on their route, Skye stops at the edge of the walkway and hangs back while Bobbi leads Sammy up to the front door. She leans back when she feels Grant stop behind her, his arms wrapping around her waist and his chin landing on her shoulder.
She sees Lance catching up to Bobbi and Sammy just as they're moving up the steps. Lance scoops Sammy up into his arms as they step onto the porch, making the girl laugh.
"They're such a cute family," Skye remarks, letting out a content sigh. "I really hope they get married at some point because I'm just imagining how cute Sammy would look in a flower girl dress."
"She would look pretty adorable. But don't pressure them, okay? If they decide to get married, then they will."
Skye laughs quietly. "Oh, they're definitely going to get married. I know my best friend, babe. She may even pop the question to him if she ever gets tired of waiting. And speaking of weddings, as much as I love working on the show, I just want to be done with this season so we can get married." She tilts her head to the side to look at him and smile.
He smiles back, giving her a quick kiss. "I can't wait to marry you. Though, there is still quite a bit of planning to do."
Skye groans. "Don't remind me. Today let's just focus on Halloween and then tomorrow I'll do more planning."
"Somebody got extra candy at this house," Bobbi's voice drifts into their space, breaking them out of their moment.
Skye turns her head and smiles at the trio. "She did?"
Bobbi nods. "Oh, yeah. Little old ladies are suckers for cute kids in costumes. Not sure if she realized Sammy can't eat any of this yet, though."
Skye beams. "That just leaves more for us at our party after Sammy goes to bed."
Bobbi matches her smile, hiking Sammy up a little higher on her hip. "It most certainly does. Should we keep going? Try to hit as many more as we can before Sammy gets too tired?"
"Sounds like a perfect idea to me," Skye says, gently prying herself out of Grant's hold to move closer to her best friend. She runs a hand down over the top of Sammy's head with a smile. "What do you think, chubalub? Wanna go get more candy?"
Sammy just babbles, reaching out for Skye's nose as she leans forward in her mom's arms.
Skye laughs quietly, grabbing Sammy's hand and giving it a quick shake. "I'll take that as a yes."

Happy Halloween from me and my favorite little chubalub. :) Calling it an early night for this cutie, but the adults are just getting started with our own little party.

Every time I see a picture of Skye holding her best friend's baby, I start to think about how much we're all going to collectively lose our minds every time she posts a picture with her own kid one day. Can you imagine?
#skye #we're all going to freak out #if we even know #i wouldn't put it past them to keep their child a secret
