Hey babes! Back again with the SECOND TO LAST CHAPTER! Holy crap. This one's a bit on the shorter side, and definitely doesn't really move the plot along in any particular way, but it was still fun to do.
Enjoy!
"Hey, Facebook!" Skye smiles brightly into the camera of the tablet that's propped up in front of her in one of the empty hallways of their set. It's just her and some of the crew with their little setup, everyone else gathered where the scenes for the day are being filmed. "Thanks so much for joining us for the first-ever Secret Warriors Facebook Live Event. I'm so excited! I can't believe we haven't done this sooner. It's just me for right now, but I promise that some of the others will join in eventually. Most of them are busy filming at the moment or getting fitted for costumes down the line. Unfortunately, I won't be able to stay the whole time either since I'll have to go back and keep shooting soon. But I'll stay for however long I can to talk to you guys."
She leans a little closer to the screen so she can read a few of the scrolling comments that are coming in, the chat bar moving quickly making it a little harder to keep up with the comments. But she's going to do her best. "Hi, Jenny. Thanks so much for watching the show and being such a big fan. We all appreciate it so much."
She reaches off to the side and grabs some strips of paper that are being held out to her by one of the crew members. "So, I've got some questions here that you guys sent in specifically for me. Thank you to everyone who sent in questions early." She unfolds one of the slips. "From Cassie R.: Daisy is my favorite character in the movie and on the show. What was your reaction when you found out you got the part for the movie?" Skye looks up at the camera with a smile. "First of all, thank you so much. I feel so honored to be playing this part and for her to be your favorite. How did I feel when I got the role? Well, I was excited, obviously. I had never made it as far as I did for a major movie like that before, so that alone was really awesome for me. After I got off the phone with the studio, my agent was there and my best friend was on Skype, so I told them first. But then I called my parents and my brother to tell them about it. The whole thing was pretty exhilarating. Changed my life forever in the best way possible."
She sets the slip of paper off to the side and then unfolds another one. "This one is from Brenda: what is it like when you do scenes where you use Daisy's powers?" She looks at the screen. "Well, Brenda, it's definitely not as cool as it looks on TV, I'll tell you that." She lets out a small laugh. "Grant loves to tease me relentlessly about how I look when I do those scenes because he doesn't look nearly as ridiculous as I do."
"My ears were burning. Someone talking about me?"
Skye grins as Grant's arms snake slowly around her waist, his lips pressing a kiss to her cheek. She tilts her head back to look at him. "It's Facebook Live," she tells him. "I was just saying how you love to tease me about how I look when I film scenes where Daisy uses her powers."
Grant smiles and looks at the camera. "If you guys could see what I see when we're filming you'd probably tease her too. It's a good thing the camera isn't focused on me when she uses her powers because I'm usually very close to breaking."
"I'm pretty sure you have a couple of times," she tells him. "And I think they got it in the blooper reel."
He sighs. "Of course they did."
Skye laughs quietly and hands him a few slips of paper. "Here, these are some questions from the fans specifically for you.."
"Ooh, questions." He smiles, unwrapping one of his arms from around her to take the slips of paper.
"Hi Evan," Skye says into the camera with a smile. "No, I can't tell you what the episode we're filming right now is about. That'd be considered spoiler territory, I think. And I could possibly be fired. Maybe. So I think I'll stay tight-lipped on that one."
"The first question for me," Grant says as he unfolds a slip of paper, "is from Paul H. Paul says, 'I've been following your career for years and was excited when the movie got made into a show. What was it like being the only well-known actor going into this project at the beginning?" Grant looks at the camera and smiles. "Thank you for being a fan, Paul, it's very much appreciated. As for your question, I don't think I was the only well-known actor, I'm pretty sure Fitz was fairly popular when we started this thing, and Trip was pretty popular too. But I guess everyone else in the movie was still pretty new in their career. So it was fun getting to help them along the way. Especially this one." He smiles down at Skye, giving her side a small squeeze.
She smiles back. "Aww, thanks, babe."
"Guys, here are some general questions for you."
Skye looks over and grabs the plastic bowl being held out to her by one of the show's crew members. She looks back at the camera. "Seems like we've got some generic questions to answer. Let's see what our first question is." She reaches inside and grabs a slip. "If you could play a different character on the show, who would you want to play? Ooh, that's a good one. Tough too. I have to think about this one, there are so many great characters to choose from and I think they'd all be really fun to try my hand at."
"I know who I'd play," Grant says with a wide smile. "I'd play Felix."
Skye's lips turn up into a small, teasing smile. "And why would you play Felix?"
"Because I love Fitz," Grant replies. "And I love the way he plays Felix. We're best friends, actually."
"They really are," Skye says with a nod, looking back at the camera. "It's very cute. Fitz actually came over to our place the other day to hang out and the bromance between those two was just off the charts. It's always amazing to see."
"Hey, what's going on over here?"
"Speak of the best friend," Skye says with a smile.
Grant turns his head and smiles brightly. "Fitz." He reaches out to pull the shorter man into a side hug, his arm settling around his shoulders. "We were just talking about you."
Fitz's brows furrow. "You were?"
Grant nods. "We were."
His brows furrow together even tighter. "Should I be worried?"
"Absolutely not," Skye tells him with a shake of her head. She looks back at the camera, squinting her eyes a little as she reads some of the questions and comments that are continuously flooding in. "Do you guys still keep in touch with Fitz's mom? We most certainly do. Mama Fitz is the best and I love her so much. She and I text all the time."
Fitz huffs. "I still can't believe you text my mother."
"We're also friends on Instagram and she is literally one of my favorite people on the planet. I wish she didn't live so far away, though." She keeps tight-lipped about Mama Fitz's plans to move to the States since it's still in the process of happening.
"You'd think she was your own mom the way you go on about her," Grant pipes in.
"She is pretty amazing, but I do not wish that she was my mom because I love my own mom very much. She's an incredible woman who took me in when she didn't have to and already had a child of her own to take care of, so I admire that about her a lot." She breathes deeply. "Alright. Next question. Fitz, you need to answer one. I think there are some that are specifically for you." She takes the small bowl and hands it to her friend.
Fitz pulls a folded slip of paper out and unfolds it, reading the question aloud. "From Marcus, Would you ever consider having Jemma on the show with you?" He looks up at the camera, face blank, and without hesitation says, "No. Absolutely not."
Skye snorts. "Damn, Fitz."
He shakes his head. "It's not like that. I love Jemma, she's an amazing woman and I still don't know what she sees in me, but she's a model, not an actress. We both agreed when we started seeing each other to keep our professional lives separate as best we could. She visits me on set on occasion and sometimes I'll go watch her while she works too, but that's the extent of it. She models and I act. There won't be any crossing over."
"That makes sense," Skye tells him. "You both kind of have your own little worlds when it comes to your jobs. Unfortunately, I have to share mine with the guy I'm sleeping with."
"Oh, you know you love me," Grant says with a smile, wrapping an arm around Skye's waist to pull her closer and drop a kiss to the top of her head.
She leans into his hold, shrugging playfully. "I guess so."

So I know we've all suspected it before because Skye and her brother look absolutely nothing alike, and she definitely doesn't look like her parents, but it's never been confirmed. But did anyone else get the feeling that she indirectly hinted at the fact that she's adopted?
