One cloudless morning Fèlice woke up to the sound of birds chirping as golden sunlight poured into the bedroom of her new home that she and her family moved into a little while ago.
She squinted as the golden light shone across her cheerful freckled face as she carefully slipped out of her bed wearing an ivory nightgown with orange and canary yellow flower embroidery across the hem and collar and two little bows on the sleeves, she walked over to the window right across from her bed.
Fèlice smiled wide as a crisp spring breeze blew in as she opened the window, then she turned and looked around at her new room, it was quite a lovely room, it wasn't a small room but it wasn't too big either.
Its walls were cream-colored with some framed paintings, and few wooden shelves here and there. A hardwood floor, bed, dresser, and side table right next to her bed.
Fèlice walked over to her bedside table which had ballet slippers, a small vase of flowers, a candle, and her round light blue music box.
She looked around again and smiled, she was so grateful to have a real home and a wonderful room but most of all an actual family that cared about her.
Then Fèlice tiptoed out of her room and went down through the halls, trying not to make a sound, Fèlice doesn't do this often, it's was usually Odette who woke up first, but strangely enough today Fèlice was the first one to wake up.
Fèlice cautiously peeped into the room of her adoptive parents, trying not to make a sound.
She didn't want to wake them up, but she thought that the day was too beautiful to be kept to herself, besides It was about half-past seven so she thought it should a good time to wake them up now.
Then Fèlice crept over to their bed and tapped the both of her adoptive parents to see if they'd wake up, which seemed not to work.
So Fèlice slowly climbed onto the end of the bed on Louis' side (being mindful of Odette's leg,) she carefully started to bounce and rock a little to see if she could wake them up which seemed like it didn't work.
But little did she know that they were both awake, even if they were just slightly awoken.
Odette turned from facing the window and Louis, threw the pillow over his head as Fèlice went to open the curtains letting in luminous rays of golden light in through the window.
Then Fèlice walked over to Louis' side and started pulling the pillow away.
"Wake up! It's really bright and sunny outside!" Fèlice beamed. "And, maybe after my studies later, can I go outside?"
He just gave Fèlice a tired smile and dramatically dropped the pillow back on his head.
"Aww come on, wake up!" Fèlice proceeded to try and shake Louis out of bed.
Odette gave a quiet laugh as Fèlice continued to shake Louis virtually pulling him out of the bed.
"Alright, alright we're awake now." Louis moaned as he got up.
"Why were you guys sleeping for so long?" Fèlice laughed. "Even I woke up before you!"
Odette smiled. "I'm sorry Fèlice, it's been a while since we slept like this in a long time."
"I know, and don't worry it's not that late, it's probably seven o'clock so we have plenty of time!"
"I guess." Odette shrugged. "Alright, You can go ahead and get ready for the day, we'll be right there."
"Okay! See you both downstairs!"
