(Staz's P.O.V)
It was Friday morning around seven am, my brother and I were playing golf in our backyard. The entire family was to participate, which included Liz and Yui, however they said they wanted to sleep in.
However I was glad things turned out the way it did.
I finally had the opportunity to spend time with Braz, since those moments were becoming rarer. "A word of advice," Braz suddenly turned to me after shooting a whole in one. " After you've tied the knot with your beautiful bride, don't drop your guard. It's been awhile since we've heard of the Sakamaki's ever since we've turned human.
However I don't trust their father Karl Heinz. Remember our kind can be vengeful if pushed to it. You're no longer on earth anymore, but the underworld where monsters like the Sakamaki's can strike at anytime."
I casually striked the golf ball across our gigantic yard, as I thought about Braz's words of wisdom. I understood that vampires like the Sakamaki's should be watched, but I felt like it was finally over, when it came to fighting the Sakamaki's for Yui. Yui had done a number on them, which they had no hope from getting back from. Last I checked, they were living quietly back on earth, with their tails stucked between their legs.
I was about to respond, and explain to Braz that I disagreed with him when Goyle Goir Braz's lawyer, appeared suddenly walking towards us.
I stared at Braz, as if to ask what was his lawyer doing here, as Braz stared back at me, as if to say he had no idea. "Good morning my king," Goyle a short black haired nerdy looking guy said politely, as he bowed respectfully to my brother.
"And to you Prince Staz," he said turning to me. "Hey," I responded in my casual lazy attitude. "Sorry to interrupt your morning activities, but the Judicial Council wants to see you in an hour." Goyle explained.
"Why the sudden summoning?," Braz questioned nonchalantly placing his golf club directly in front of him.
Goyle glanced away nervously, as he hesitated. "They reopened Wolf Daddy's murder case, and they have evidence that suggest a possibility of you being involved in murdering Wolf Daddy."
"Tell the Council I'll be there within an hour," Braz simply responded pushing his spectacles up his nose. " As you wish my king," Goyle bowed again, then turned and walked away. When Goyle was finally gone, I growled at my brother in annoyance.
"How could you be so calm right now!. Did you not hear what he said!!." " Relax little brother," Braz said grinning at me, clearly amused at my panic. "Now is not the time to be cocky," I continued to protest. "Did you forget that we not only plotted but killed Wolf Daddy?!. If they have evidence Braz, we could be going to jail or worse yet executed!."
"Relax," Braz drawled continuing to grin at me. "They don't have evidence to prove we were involved." "How the hell are you so sure?!." " Because if they did, they wouldn't be sending my lawyer to summon me. We would have been arrested instead. Secondly, the only reason I'm being summoned is that now that they reopened the case, they're looking at the possibility of me being involved." "I see your point," I admitted letting out a relieved sigh.
"Even though I'm in the clear, I still don't like that they suspected you." That's right, Braz and I had plotted with some of our trusted allies to kill the previous king, better known as Wolf Daddy. Before you judge us as stone cold killers, we had a good reason.
Wolf Daddy was a tyrant. He terrorized and oppressed all classes of society. Especially the poorer class. A real Hitler in the making back then. As soon as we got rid of him, my brother was crowned the new king of the underworld.
It didn't surprise me though. Braz might not look it, but he was 1000% capable of being a fierce and noble worthy king. Which is why he was King of the Underworld so long. No one dared to try to assassinate him.
"You got this Bro," I grinned taking his golf club from him.
"Don't I know it," Braz grinned back at me, as he turned and headed for our castle.
