(Yui's P.O.V)
I sighed in satisfaction, as I read the last chapter of a novel I had picked up in Braz's study. It was three in the afternoon, and I was sitting alone in the Bloods' unique garden.
It was situated in the backyard, but fenced off from where they golfed. I thought it was pretty unique, not for the rare flowers that they grew, but for the creatures that blend in well with the garden.
For example, there were flowers that had human eyes and mouth. They would sing or talk to one another. Next were the garden nomes, that were pretty much living little creatures, that took care of the garden.
The plants and nomes were very friendly, and only became hostile if an intruder who wasn't part of the family, or future inlaws had barged their way into the garden uninvited. Under ordinary circumstances; before I knew of vampires existing, I wouldn't have dared to come into such a place.
However it is one of my favorite places, to be at the Bloods' residence. I set the novel down now, and studied the white rose that sat besides me. It was the only white rose in the garden. Kind emerald eyes stared back at me, as her pink lips widened into a smile.
She was called the looking glass. Staz had explained her purpose wasn't just of being a simple rose, but rather used as a ritual to the Bloods' family when they are getting married. When a human marries vampire royalty, the rose was used to tell the future bride, her future, and give her well wishes.
To be honest I had second thoughts about doing the ritual. What if my future with Staz, was doomed from the start?. That was a question that plagued me from time to time, because fate had dealt me a cruel hand in the past, and I wasn't sure I was ready to know.
"Are you ready to see your future?," The looking glass inquired. I nodded shyly, as I pushed my fears to the back of my mind. I pricked my right index finger on its thorn. My finger instantly bled, as the rose absorbed the blood.
Within a couple of seconds, her beautiful white petals began to slowly turn from white to black, as they slowly dropped off one by one. Her eyes turned black as well. "I'm dying," she whispered staring at me in a horrifying glance.
"Your future," she wheezed. "Unknown..." I watched in horror, as the last black petal fell, as I staggered back in horror an fear. I suddenly froze in fear, when I felt something soft touch my back. My eyes widened in fear, as I slowly turned around. There sat a light brown teddy bear with black patch over its left eye, staring back at me.
I let out a soft whimper, because I recognized that bear.
"I finally found you," Kanato's voice whispered behind me. Terrified and shaking like a leaf, I turned to see a smiling Kanato. "How did you find me," I managed to say still shaking. "Vampire powers remember?,"Kanato responded grinning from ear to ear showing off his fangs.
I gasped, as my eyes widened in shock. "That's impossible you're-." "No longer human?," Kanato said casually, as he picked up teddy now. "Yes you did make us human," Kanato eyes narrowed in hatred at me. " Who would have thought the little weak Yui would take down the Sakamaki brothers.
Boy did we underestimate you." Kanato growled lowly. "What do you want?!," I demanded still frightened at the sight of him. "Don't be frightened, I'm only here to deliver a message. You thought you had it bad when you first lived with us, I want you to think about all the things we're gonna do to you, once we kill your filthy lover Staz."
Before I could respond, Kanato yanked my right hand forward. He cruelly sank his fangs into my wrist, as I let out a blood curling scream.
