Meanwhile, in the same skull-covered road that Sora and Geno went through, a familiar ship just crash through a pile of Dry Bones, which exploded on contact, sending dead Koopa skulls all over the place. Doomguy opened his cockpit and took out his gun to shoot at the falling skull heads, destroying them in the process, making bone dust rain all over him.
Speaking of Sora and Geno, Arle was still watching them act like babies back at the edge of the cliff. It's been at least 30 minutes and she eventually became annoyed of them.
"Guys!" she tried to get their attention.
However, they were too busy rocking on their back back and forth like a cradle, sucking their thumbs and crying on the ground like two overgrown babies they were.
"Ugh."
The spellcaster was shaking her head in exasperation, desperate at that point. There was just no way to help them. She had to find a plan and fast.
"Think, Arle, think!" she muttered to herself, while rubbing the side of her orange head.
She then came up with an idea and she returned her attention toward the two immature kids.
"Well, guys. You have a point!" she agreed with them, putting on a fake expression.
She succeeded to draw their attention as Sora and Geno finally stopped what they were doing, and started to listen to the princess.
"It's true, a bunch of invalids like you can't do this mission."
Hearing this, they looked at each other heartbroken and resumed rocking back and forth and sucking their thumbs.
"That's why I'm thinking of turning you two into valids!" she proclaimed happily.
This easily made the two heroes stopped crying and became interested in this bold offer.
"Woah! You can actually do that! How?!" Sora's eyes widened in fascination.
"Easy, with my Spellcaster magic!" she waved her wand in front of them.
Carbuncle, though, was confused by his friend/owner's statement. He was making confused "Goo goo?!" noise as if he was saying "Uh? Can you really do that?" to her. Arle quickly shushed him and blinked at him with one eye, smiling mischievously. Carbuncle slowly understood what she was doing and smiled her back with accomplice eyes.
"Wow Geno, did you hear that? Arle is gonna turn us into valid people!" Sora hugged Geno gleefully and eagerly.
"Alright!" Sora and Geno were elated. They jumped around and sang in ecstasy. "We're gonna be valid! We're gonna be valid! We're gonna be valid! We're gonna be valid!"
"Alright then, let's get started", she instructed as she put her hands together. "Close your eyes."
Sora and Geno obeyed.
"Are we valid yet?" Sora asked, fervently.
"Not yet. Uh, spin around three times", she tried to make up while gesturing them despite their eyes closed.
The two gullible guys spun around like ballerina.
"I think it's working!" Sora commented.
Next, Arle walked toward a dead tree and ripped off some leaves while Carbuncle used his rabbit-like hear to get some sap off the tree.
"Nice. Please keep your eyes shut, it's time for the most important part."
She walked back toward Sora and Geno and scribbled with a black marker something on the leaves. She chanted, pretending to cast a spell on them.
"With my spellcaster magic..."
Sora and Geno, who still had their eyes shut, were now trying to hold their breath as long as they could. Carbuncle smeared the sticky sap under the leaves. She and the small yellow creature stuck each leaves on Sora and Geno arms respectively like they were putting on a sticker.
"And my one ponytail, I order you two to become valids! Open your eyes!"
Sora and Geno finally opened their eyes. However, they don't feel any different like they expected.
"Huh", Sora said, confused. "That's strange, I don't feel any diff..."
Sora glanced as Geno's arm and noticed something on it.
"Geno, look! You have a tattoo!" Sora gasped in complete shock.
"And you too, Sora!" the puppet pointed him out.
They looked at their "tattoos" in awe. Sora's said in black marker "Property of Square Enix", while Geno's said "The One True Original Protagonist". They rubbed their tattoos gleefully.
"So now that you two are valids, can you make it to the Great Maze?" Arle inquired.
However, they were too busy admiring their "tattoos" than listening to her.
"Huh, guys?!"
They were quickly interrupted as she drew their attention.
"I said, now that you two are valids, can you make it to the Great Maze?" she repeated with confidence.
"Heck yeah!" they cheered with even more confidence than hers.
"Are valids afraid of anything?"
"Heck no!"
"And why?!"
"Because we're invincible!"
Suddenly, they ran toward the cliff before they jumped over it and fell from the height. Arle quickly caught up to them in concern. She looked down over the trench as the two fearless (Or just plain stupid) heroes fell to their doom, slowly reaching to the subspace.
"What!? I never said that!" Arle yelled nervously.
She turned around to see Carbuncle coming over to her.
"Don't worry, Carbuncle, I'll give them around 30 minutes until they find out."
Back to the cliff, Sora and Geno fell as they cheered madly, made some heroic poses and hugged each other. They eventually stopped as they kept falling down and down the deep trench, getting darker as they went on. Sora looked down and realized what they just did.
"Huh, Geno?" he turned uncomfortably toward his puppet friend.
"Yeah?" Geno replied.
"Why did we decide to jump off the cliff rather than just take the ladder?"
"Becau-" Geno himself wasn't even sure why they even did that in the first place and therefore was unable to form a proper answer. He looked down as well.
The two saw the subspace getting nearer to them. They held each other and screamed in terror as they realized they will splat into the ground like pancakes. They finally entered inside the subspace, which ironically slowed their fall down. As they reached the ground inside the black void, Sora was the first one to stop screaming. He looked around and noticed that they made it out alive.
"Geno!" he said in relief.
However, Geno thought he was still falling to his doom and was still screaming like heck with his eyes shut. Luckily he stopped after a bit.
"Are we dead yet?" Geno demanded, anxious.
"Of course not! We're safe and sound inside this back void!"
Sora showed him the place around them. It looked like they entered inside another world with a dark and purple atmosphere with tornado everywhere only to be lightened with a pink ground and some occasional lightning that streaked in the dark sky. It is also populated by unknown creatures inside the fog, from gargantuan in size to small. A small misplaced sign written "Great Maze" was seen near a small pile of bones. That could mean one thing: they were really close to their goal.
"The tattoo must've worked" Geno assumed as he touched the leaf stuck on his wooden arm.
"Do you know what that mean!?" Sora mused in excitation. "We are INVINCIBLE!"
They hit the road and started singing. They walked toward Galleom's hand and stepped on it.

Galleom threw them in the air, ready to slice them with his axe nose.

However, just as they were about to get axed in the air, they got caught by a Trowlon who was lifting them in the air and take them for itself. However, the flat mechanical monster crashed into a rock nearby as the two heroes jumped out of it.

They jumped over some primids, who were trying to grab them.
Get the glove, save Smash World, and Sakurae.
They landed inside a giant Chimera's mouth as the monster swallowed them whole. The monster was satisfied that he just had lunch. Until he felt something inside, causing the pink monster to blow into pieces. Sora and Geno, now freed, blew their keyblade and finger respectively before resuming their walk to the Great Maze.

Next, the fearless duo walked inside a path surrounded by Armights, which were readying their swordlike appendages on them. However, they got out in time as one Armight succeeded to ripped Geno's blue cap, revealing his bald head once again. Nevertheless, this time, his #Goku4Smash carving was missing from it.

Sora and Geno imagine themselves as Final Fantasy characters as they sang.

After they went back to reality, they arrived in a volcano section, jumped over some magma lake and get to the other side, unscathed.
We never had a chance when we were invalids. No! No! No!
They walked through another path as more enemies tried but missed to hit them.
But take a look at what the spellcaster did.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
An armank tried to ram them with its giant construction crane, but kept missing. Then a giant green leaf lifted them up, revealing to be Petey Piranha's arm. He licked his lips, preparing to eat them. However, he stopped as soon as Sora started to slap his knees. And Geno followed suit.
"Go Geno!" Sora cheered him as he did a little dance.
Some monsters in the subspace were watching them perform. One of them made a sign to call out its friends. Soon enough, more monsters were watching them do a little performance. They were so impressed they forgot about trying to kill them. All the monsters now all started to sing and followed them through their destination.

The monsters cheered as Sora and Geno finally got out of the subspace and later trench, unscathed, and were now on the other side of the cliff. They saw the rusted sign that said
"Great Maze dead ahead" in big words, and were proud that they made it through.
"Great maze! Cool! We did it, Geno! We made it through everything! We even made it past through the hideous monsters from the darkness!" Sora claimed, without knowing of said monsters that followed them behind.
Hearing this, the monsters were completely hurt and they returned to the subspace, saddened. Sora realized what he just said and quickly apologized to them.
"Not you guys! You were awesome!" he turned back to Geno. "Well, we're almost there. Let's just sing one more verse, okay?"
Geno agreed and prepared to walk and sing.

"Finally!"
They both were interrupted by a giant green armored man in front of them, who was charging his giant gun this entire time.
"I got you where I wanted you", he said in a deep and sinister voice.
"Huh, can we help, sir?" Sora inquired, a little nervous about this towering man he never met.
"I'm the Slayer, also known as Doomguy", he introduced himself. "I've been hired by Dharkon to destroy you two."
"You're… gonna destroy us?" Sora gulped a bit.
He and Geno looked at each other before they laughed mockingly at him with tears coming out of their eyes. Of course, Doomguy didn't take this too lightly. They eventually stopped laughing as they wiped their tears out.
"Listen to me, mister." He acted pretentiously in front of him. "You got me and my friend in a good mood today. So, I'm giving you a warning: unless you want to feel the might of our tattoos on our arms, you better step aside."
He pointed to Doomguy said "tattoo" on his arm.
"You mean these?"
Doomguy ripped the leaves out of their arms, leaving a red painful spot on the skin. They rubbed it in pain and disbelief.
"What?!" they said in unison.
"I thought you two had a piece of shopping list stuck on your arms."
He threw the leaves away on the ground. Sora and Geno were crestfallen as they realized the deceit behind this.
"They were fake?!" Sora realized in tears.
"Of course they were fake. That's what a real tattoo looks like"
Doom Guy ripped his mask off and showed them the word Bethseda tattooed on his forehead. The two smaller guys were staring at him quietly, until Geno broke the silence.
"Is he a spellcaster?" he whispered to Sora who was still staring in disbelief.
"Enough talks! Let's get through this", Doomguy affirmed as he walked menacingly toward the cowering duo.
"W-what are you gonna do to us!?" Sora stuttered in fear.
"Dharkon was clear about his order."
"Dharkon?!" he gasped. The boy started to comprehend the awful being that was this dark entity.
"He told me to step on you."
"Step on us?" Geno repeated.
"Yeah, so that no one will ever find out that he was the one who stole the glove!"
Sora and Geno looked at each other, in outright confusion. Doomguy realized what he just spilled and rubbed his hand behind head, feeling awkward.
"Huh, I said too much."
Sora and Geno stared at Doomguy's boots as spikes grew from underneath. He lifted his foot and hover it over the two, who were holding each other in fear and trembling.
"That's a big boot you got there" Geno commented as he stared at the spiky sole of said boot.
"Don't worry, small flies. This will only hurt A LOT!"
Doomguy started laughing madly in glee as he couldn't wait to crush them. He was already used to destroy demons from the underworld, so doing this was just a warm-up.
"I love this job! Ah! Ah!-"
Suddenly, a much bigger foot stepped on the green armored man interrupting what he was doing. It was blue, bright and somewhat translucent.
"BIGGER BOOT!" Geno screamed as he tried to run away.
"Geno, wait! That bigger boot saved our lives", Sora explained, preventing the puppet from escaping.
They both turned toward their savior and thanked them gratefully.
"Thanks, stranger!"
The giant stranger remained silent, which slowly grew disturbing for the two friends.
"Uh, stranger?" Sora tried to get his attention, a little worried.
The stranger looked down at the two smaller beings. It was a gargantuan bright blue and black human-like digital entity. Sora and Geno looked up to stare at him back, and slowly backed in dread at who they just came across.
"IT'S TABUU!" Sora shrieked as he pointed at said giant entity.
Sora and Geno ran away in terror from the giant blue entity as he started pursuing them with his giant butterfly wings that grew and spread behind his back. They kept running and running as fast as their little feet could take them, but were soon outrun and caught by the giant's hand. He brought the two captives near his face as they kept screaming.
"Aaaaaah! Stop it! HELP US!AAAaaaaaaaaaahh! SOMEBODY! HEEEEELP!"
Tabuu flew away inside the dark fog as the two helpless captives screamed in mercy, begging for someone to come and rescue them. But no one came. Soon, the voice completely vanished and the dark fog covered the environment, making no one able to see what was happening.
