The next day...
With Crystal...
The moment that she woke up, Crystal sat up in her bed taking a listen to the house around her. All that she could hear was nothing more but the sound of silence, and that's it. Just how she likes it whenever she woke up in the morning. The last thing that she needed today was her four other cheerleader sisters to wake up and ruin her day like they normally do. With the fact that Chaz and Katie meeting up was completely on her mind, she rather not have them ruin this day for her.
The rebel quickly got up out of her bed and immediately did everything that she normally did whenever she woke up. She quickly got dressed, brushed her hair, and then ate breakfast. After all of that was done, Crystal hurried out the door and immediately went to the sidewalk.
Sitting down on the bench that was right in front of her house, Crystal pulled her Smartphone out in order to call Chaz so that she can tell him what they, along with Tim as well, were going to do today. She was wanting to tell him last night after her hangout with Katie and Annie, but unfortunately, she had left the house when it was late at night, meaning Chaz would've been asleep by then. Now that it was morning, now seemed like a better time than ever to finally tell him what she had planned for them to do. Hopefully, he and Tim have the day-off of work today.
After placing Chaz's number into the phone, Crystal waited a couple minutes before the man finally answered. "Hey Crystal, what's going on?" Chaz asked on the phone.
"Hey Chaz." Crystal said, before leaning back on the bench. "I was just wanting to ask you something. Do you and Tim have the day-off today?"
"Hmm...well, my dad called me earlier today, and...he told me that he doesn't want me and Tim to come in until it's night, so...yeah." Hearing this caused Crystal to nod her head with a smile. She stopped when Chaz decided to ask about this. "Why do you ask?"
"Well, it's just that I've got plans for the three of us to do today." Crystal took a bit of a pause to look down one side of the road. "You and Tim don't have any sort of plans for today already, right?"
"No, me and Tim didn't have any plans before work today. Why do you ask?"
"Well...this might seem a bit last minute for you to hear, but..." Crystal took another pause so that she can face forward. "...I talked to Katie about you, and...I was able to convince her to meet with you and Tim at her house."
"Really now?"
"Yeah. She wasn't too thrilled about it. But hey, maybe she'll change her mind when you two start talking to each other, am I right?"
"I...guess..." Chaz took a bit of a pause, most likely trying to get ready to meet with Katie from the sound of what's happening on the other line. "Anyways, am I picking you up at your house, or am I meeting you at Katie's house?"
"Just pick me up at my house. I'm sitting outside on the bench."
"Alright, fine." Chaz took another pause, before he decided to tell Crystal that he was going to end the call now. "Anyways, I think I'm going to tell Tim what we're going to be doing today. I'll see you when I get to your house."
"Great. I'll see you then." Right then and there, the phone call had ended.
After the phone call had ended, Crystal looks up at the sky to see how the weather was going to be like today. From the looks from where she was sitting, it appears that it was going to be nothing more than another average sunny Summer day. Well, then again, the heat was probably going to be a bother to her, but hopefully despite meeting Chaz and Tim for the first time, Katie will allow them into her house. All in all, it seems like today was just going to be another nice day for Crystal and her friends.
"Hey Crystal." A female voice said behind the rebel. "What are you doing up at such a time?"
Startled by the sound of that voice, Crystal quickly looked behind her...only to see that it was Yuki. "Damn it, Yuki...I thought I told you to never scare me like that." Crystal mutters, before losing her glare. "I'm just waiting for Chaz to come here so no that he can pick me up. He's finally going to meet Katie today."
"Chaz and Katie? Meeting each other?" Yuki asked rather confused. Crystal nodded her head, before the girl with fangs continued to speak. "But those two are so different. Also, doesn't Chaz have a girlfriend already?"
"Yuki, don't be stupid. I'm not trying to get those to date." Crystal then points at herself before standing up from the bench. "If anything, whenever he and Summer break up, I know for sure that the next girl that he's going to be dating is going to be me. Besides, aside from her, I'm pretty much the only other girl that Chaz hangs out with regularly...so it's pretty clear that he'd ask me out." She then sat down onto the bench again. "Also...as far as I'm concerned, I doubt Katie is even looking for a boyfriend at the moment."
"Right..." Yuki said softly, still unsure about all of this.
"Also...one more thing...Chaz and Katie would totally like each other. They're both cool, they both love sports, and they are into a lot of the same things." The rebel gave her friend a reassuring smile before continuing to tell her friend that things will be alright. "If you ask me, I'm sure those two are going to get along quite easily."
Yuki then shrugged her shoulders. "If you say so..." The girl then glanced to her left for a second, deciding that now is probably the best time to leave. "Yuki must be off to the town's gym now. Goth Boy should be there today."
"Alright. I'll hopefully talk to you soon, Yuki."
"Yuki will talk to you soon too, Crystal." Yuki walked off, leaving the rebel girl alone once again.
It took a bit of waiting, but eventually Chaz finally arrived at where Crystal was waiting for him at.
Crystal took a glance at the time on her phone to see how long Chaz is taking to get here. It had already been about forty minutes after her phone call with him, which to her, is rather confusing. What was taking Chaz so long to even get to her house? The traffic doesn't get horrendous compared to how it's like in the Downtown area of Simport.
After a couple more seconds of waiting, Crystal glances over to one part of the street, seeing her friend's car driving up to where she was at. The car pulled up next to where the bench was at, as Crystal stood up from it. She took a couple steps forward while her friend was rolling his window down to talk to her.
"Hey...Crystal...I know you're going to be upset about this, but...I talked to Tim moments ago, and...unfortunately, he's unable to come with me." Chaz told the rebel.
Upon hearing this, Crystal's smile quickly became a look of surprise and disgust. "What?!" She asked, rather appalled by this. "Why not?!"
"He's got to do a couple things down at the Boardwalk today. So..." Chaz then cringed, before leaning back in his chair. "...Instead of Tim coming along with us..."
Crystal was confused by what Chaz was even talking about, until she leans to her left to see who was sitting in the front seat alongside the biker. When she saw who it was coming along with them, her confused look became a look that of both awe and horrified. Of all people that Chaz could convince to come along with them, she honestly couldn't believe it was her. Sitting beside him was none other than Summer Baxter.
"S-Summer?" Crystal asked, completely shocked by the person she hated the most coming along with them. "What the hell is she doing here? Shouldn't she be doing her lifeguard job right now?"
"The Boardwalk doesn't need me until later today." Summer said. "So...I decided to spend some time with my boyfriend, until then..." The blonde girl then glared at the person she hated the most. "Is that a problem for you?"
"As a matter of fact, yes!" Crystal then glared at Chaz now. "What the hell were you thinking inviting her along?!"
"Because she's my girlfriend. Why else?" Chaz asked the rebel. "I couldn't say 'no' to her when she asked me earlier."
"Honestly, you should've..." The rebel muttered.
"Just get in already." Chaz then said while pointing to the backseat behind him. "The last thing I need to deal with today is you two getting into an argument."
"Whatever..." Crystal then rolled her eyes while getting into the backseat of her friend's car. "Honestly, this trip would've been SO much better if Tim came along." She muttered while glaring at Summer through the front mirror of the car.
"Like, whatever." Summer muttered to herself, before looking over to her boyfriend next to her. "How can you put up with a bitch like her anyway? I swear she can be a total jerk."
"You're one to talk, Summer."
Chaz then shook his head while looking forward at the road in front of him. 'Well, this is going to suck...' The biker said in his thoughts, before finally driving off to where Katie lives.
