Christmas After End Game
'Twas the night before Christmas in Avengers Tower.
Friday kept the watch through every dark hour,
While the team feasted, reveled and tried to make cheer,
Glad for a break in their duties this year.
Wanda played hostess, manning the door.
She looked to the sky, hoping for Thor.
Carol outdrank all present but Hulk,
Ant-Man downed turkey and stuffing in bulk.
Bucky finished the pies with Falcon and Clint.
If anyone minded, they gave not a hint.
Spidey and Wasp shared secrets of shame,
Neither much interested in Avengers' fame.
Of the dear friends lost, they often spoke,
Especially when memories did provoke.
Thanos had left a great toll on their hearts,
Headquarters felt empty, haunted in parts.
The festivities over, the heroes then slept,
Having devoured each treat Pepper had prepped.
Humanity was safe with them as its guard,
Their resolve never waning and fealty unmarred.
