Meanwhile...
Travis finally arrived at the coffee shop. He glanced around the parking lot for a few minutes, wondering if Chaz and Tim were here yet or not. Taking a look at all of the vehicles that were here today, he didn't recognize any of them to belong to either one of the two men he was planning to meet. Instead of a car, Travis was able to find Chaz's motorcycle parked in one of the parking spaces. After he found the motorcycle, the blonde man walked into the building.
Upon entering the coffee shop, the man heard the sound of somebody whistling for his attention. He turned his head towards the direction of where the whistle had came from, seeing Chaz and Tim sitting at one of the tables nearby. Unfortunately for Travis, since Chaz and Tim arrived first, they seemed to have the say in which table to take...and they had picked one of the tall tables...which were the ones with only two chairs and that's it. Travis just gave a sigh before walking to the table the two men were sitting at.
"Sorry chump, it looks like you're going to be standing." Chaz said, right as Travis was approaching the table.
"I can see that. No need to tell me." Travis said while glaring at Chaz. "Why couldn't you guys pick on of the booth tables around here? Or maybe one of the tables that has more than two chairs at them?"
"Hey, me and Tim were going to wait outside for you...but we both got bored, so...we went inside instead."
"Does the fact that we picked a table first really matters here?" Tim asked the two men. "Besides, we should be more focused on whatever Travis's surprise for Liberty is." The blue-haired man turned his attention towards Travis now. "Go ahead. Tell us what your surprise is."
"Of course." Travis said, while both nodding his head and reaching into his pocket.
Chaz and Tim silently stared at Travis as places the surprise down onto the table in front of him, which was nothing more but a small blue box. Both of the men's reactions were different. Chaz was indifferent upon first seeing it, while Tim knew right away what Travis's surprise was. It wasn't until Travis opens the box that Chaz finally realized what the surprise actually was.
When Travis opened the box, both of the men could see that it was none other than a ring with a light blue gem on it. Both men were stuck in awe at the sight of this. Neither of them really knew what to say to this, as both were at a loss for words right now.
"I've been...giving it some thought this past month, and...I feel like now is a good enough time to finally tell her..." Travis told the two men. "I want Liberty to be my wife."
Chaz just shook his head, scoffing out a bit of a laugh before speaking. "I'm not surprised that you're finally going to marry her." The biker said, sarcastically. "You two have remained close with each other, ever since you two graduated."
"Anyways, I've been planning on proposing to her tonight, and...I don't want things to get seriously messed up when I give her this ring."
"Dude, all you're doing is getting down on one knee and asking her for marriage. How hard could doing something like that possibly be?"
"Oh, I don't know...I might say the wrong thing, or maybe even trip on my own feet when I attempt to tell her?" The man then closes the box, before placing it back into his pocket. "I just...really need some confidence if I'm going to actually do this..."
"So...you turned to us for confidence? Dude, why not ask Sapphire for some? She's the one who's always wanting to help out couples and shit."
"Sapphire isn't here, isn't she?"
"Actually, I am." Sapphire's voice said out of complete nowhere, catching all three boys off-guard.
Chaz, Travis, and Tim all quickly turned towards where Sapphire was, seeing her standing there with that excited look she always carries on her face. None of them knew where she had came from, or how did she come here without any of them noticing, but it seemed like she had arrived only recently. None of them if she had heard most of their conversation or not. Regardless, Travis decided to let her join their conversation.
"So, like, what are you boys, like, talking about?" Sapphire said, as she pulled a chair over to their table.
"Travis is getting prepared to propose to Liberty tonight." Tim said as he pointed at the soon-to-be fiancé.
Upon hearing this, Sapphire quickly looked over to Travis as her smile reappeared on her face. "Really now?" She said, sounding completely invested in all of this. "You're finally going to be marrying that girl? I was wondering when you were going to be doing that."
"That's what I said." Chaz said with a smirk.
"Would you shut up already? You're not helping." Travis said glaring at the biker, before looking at Sapphire once again. "It's probably a petty thing for me to worry about, but...I was wanting my proposal to her to be...both perfect, and special."
"Then you're in luck, Travis." Sapphire said while pointing at the man's chest. "Because I'm the girl you need."
"Really?" Travis then asked, feeling unsure about this.
"Like, totally. If anyone has a romance problem, they always turn to me to help them out."
Travis cringed, before turning towards the men he was intending to ask for confidence first. "Somehow, I feel like I'm going to regret this..."
"No you won't." Sapphire then places a hand on the man's back, guiding him to one of the other tables nearby. "Now come on, let's talk about this somewhere else."
Sapphire guides Travis over to one of the nearby booth tables. Both of them sat down on each side, Travis was to the left while Sapphire was on the other side. Once both of them were seated, the girl started off talking first.
"So...I guess I must ask...where you're going to be proposing to Liberty tonight?" Sapphire asked Travis.
"Well...I was planning on taking her to the same exact restaurant that my dad proposed to my mom." He said, before looking out the window. "There's this one fancy restaurant that's nearby the town's gym that's...from what I heard, most couples have proposed at. So, knowing that, I thought...why not have mine there too?"
"That sounds like a wonderful idea."
"Well, yeah, but...I was just...feeling like tonight, what if...things don't end up going as planned? What if something screws up everything for me? For her too? That's what I'm really worried about."
"What do you have to worry about?"
"Just...a lot of things really. Like my tongue going dry when I attempt to propose to her, or if I'll slip and knock her food onto her, or maybe even..."
"I've heard enough." Sapphire said, interrupting Travis in his words. "I heard it all before already, Travis...and those always result in somebody being overly nervous. All I can tell you is that you need to just...don't let the thought of accidents like that get to you. Just stay focused on doing the proposal and asking her to be your wife." The party girl then smiled sincerely. "It...may not seem like helpful advice all that much, but to me, it's better that you don't stress yourself when attempting to go through with something like this."
"So, what you're telling me is to...not be so stressed about this?" Sapphire nodded her head, before sighing to himself. "Well...that might seem impossible...but alright. Thanks for the talk."
"No problem, Travis." The two shook each other's hands, before getting up from the table and ending their conversation there.
Moments later...
After their talk with Travis at the coffee shop, both Chaz and Tim decided to leave and head home.
However, both of them decided to not head off together like they did on the way here. Whenever he had to share a ride on Chaz's motorcycle, Tim always felt uncomfortable with being on the vehicle and whenever Chaz went super fast on it. So instead of joining his friend, Tim decided that it would be best if he'd walk back to his own house. Once Chaz left, Tim began to head off too.
Tim managed to walk a long distance, until he found himself in Main Street. It had been about thirty minutes, and he was already tired from so much walking that he had to find some place so that he can sit down. He went over to one of the nearby bench and sat down at it, hoping to rest his feet for a little bit before walking again.
"Hey, I know you." A female voice said from behind Tim.
Upon hearing that voice, Tim wondered if that voice sounded familiar to him or not. From the sound of the voice, it was pretty obvious that the person talking to him was female. He had talked with multiple girls before, yet he still wasn't too sure if this girl sounded familiar to him or not.
Tim decided to look behind himself to see who it was standing behind him. Much to his surprise, it really was a girl he knew...however, unlike the other girls he knew, this girl he had only met recently. It was the girl with the blue hair who he had met back at the mall days ago. To him, it was quite surprising to see her again after some days had passed.
"Oh...I know you too." Tim said with a smile. "You're that...you're that one girl...who was it?"
"Have...I never given you my name?" Pinky asked, before sitting next to Tim on the bench. Tim shrugged his shoulders, feeling like he had forgotten her name. "Well, if you must be remained, it's Pinky."
"Pinky? Oh...right, I had a feeling that was your name."
"So...what are you doing here alone, anyway? I wasn't expecting to see you all by yourself."
"All I can say is that Chaz is heading home and...probably preparing himself for a date with his girlfriend, while Crystal is hanging out with her other goth friends." Tim looked down one side of the road, before leaning forward onto his own knees. "So...why are you out here by your lonesome? I thought you had a friend that you mentioned back at the mall."
"Who? BeeBee? I'm meeting her tonight at that one restaurant, 'Love and Lunch'." The girl in blue sighed. "Her boyfriend, Preston Winthrop, is out of town in Simhatten right now. She tends to go there in hopes of him showing up there, since...he gave her a promise that he'd meet her there the moment he gets back."
"He...never gave her a day that he was going to return?"
"He never did. He just told her that him returning will be indefinite and...that's it."
"Not a good boyfriend, huh?"
"I always warned her that Preston probably isn't really a trustworthy or reliable boyfriend. She never listens to me about of all that." Pinky sighed again, before leaning back on the bench with her arms crossed. "I don't think I will ever figure out what that girl sees in a guy like him. That guy can be a total jerk sometimes." Tim cringed at this, before Pinky just gave another sigh. "I'm sorry, I'm just rambling at this point..."
"No need to apologize." Feeling the need to change the subject, Tim decided to ask Pinky about something else. "Anyways...I...don't believe I've ever seen you around the Royal Academy before. Did you ever go there, or your two other friends?"
"No. None of us did." Pinky then smiled, before looking off towards a completely random directly. "Me, BeeBee, and Preston were all students at a different school. The one that was up in the northern part of Simport."
"Northern part of town?" Tim asked rather intrigued now. "You mean Simport Prep?"
Pinky nodded her head to this question. "Yeah. Personally though...I always wanted to go off to Royal Academy instead, but...my dad always thought that place wasn't right for me."
"Oh, that's too bad." Tim then gave the girl a rather optimistic smile. "I bet the school would've been a lot more better if somebody like you were there. You just seem so...nice, you know? You don't seem as mean or stuck-up like a lot of the people there..." Pinky then raises an eyebrow at the blue-haired man, unsure about her decision to be at that school now, hearing the students were rude there. "...Not saying there wasn't anyone polite there. There were, but...most of them were...jerks..."
"Ouch..."
"But...hey...stuff like bullies and jerks are probably no longer an issue to either one of us anymore, right? Except for Preston, but, you get my point."
"Yeah, I do." Pinky said almost giggling, before standing up from the bench. "You know, I'm really starting to like you Tim. One of these days, I think I want to hang out with you some more."
Tim chuckles also, before standing up from the bench. "I'm starting to like spending time with you too, Pinky. Whenever I'm not at work, I'm totally free to hang out with you some more, and...hopefully, both of us could get to know each other some more."
Pinky nodded her head in agreement. "That sounds like a wonderful idea." She then places a hand on her shoulder, before walking passed the blue-haired man. "Anyway, I should be getting going now. I must meet up with my parents at their house so that I can talk to them about something. I'll see you around, hopefully."
"Same here."
After that was said, both of the two decided to walk away from each other. Tim looked behind his shoulder one last time, watching Pinky leave as he stood there for a couple more seconds. Once he could no longer see her anywhere, he finally faces forward and headed on home.
