Chapter 73

'My Answer Is…'

***Nikolas and Michelle's House***

(Everyone decided to meet up at the couple's house. Michelle was over the moon that she was granted sole custody of her son, Andrew. She was allowed to take him home with her and Nikolas. Andrew had been an angel after court was done. He was currently sleeping in his crib in the spare bedroom. Nikolas, Michelle, Lucky, Elizabeth, Max, Emily, Laura, and Luke were all in attendance)

Laura: "Thank heavens it all worked out for you, honey."

Nikolas: (raises his eyebrows) "You're telling me."

Michelle: "I'm so glad I have my son with me for good. I hope the Brady's get the answers they're looking for."

Liz: (nods) "They will. What was revealed in court was definitely a shocker."

Luke: "That the Brady's can have their own child if Samantha has the surgery that's needed? They definitely didn't expect that."

Laura: "That was a very nice thing you did, Michelle, by allowing the Brady's to see Andrew when they want."

Michelle: (nods) "I knew they would've done the same thing for me if the roles were reversed."

Max: (smiles) "You did good today, sis."

Michelle: (grins) "Thank you."

(Nikolas approaches his girl with a happy yet serious expression)

Nikolas: "There's something I want to talk to you about."

Michelle: (nods) "Okay. Go ahead."

Nikolas: "You know that I love you and Andrew. I consider Andrew my son and I hope that's okay."

Michelle: (chuckles) "Of course that's okay. I was hoping you considered him yours. I love you, too."

Nikolas: "With your permission, I'd like to legally adopt Andrew so that he can take my name."

(Michelle wraps her arms around Nikolas and kisses him before smiling)

Michelle: "Nothing would make me happier than for you to adopt him and make him ours. I was hoping you'd still want that."

Nikolas: (shakes his head) "I never stopped wanting that. You and Andrew are my life."

Michelle: (nods & smiles) "You're my life, too, babe."

(Nikolas looks at Lucky, who nods his head in response. Without saying a word, both knew what was going to happen next)

Nikolas: "There's something I want to ask you."

Michelle: (chuckles) "What's that?"

(Nikolas checked his jean pocket for confirmation before going forward with his plans. He gets down on one knee, causing Michelle to gasp in shock. Her hands first cover her mouth before moving to her chest)

Michelle: "N-Nikolas…."

Nikolas: (chuckles) "I take it I caught you by surprise?"

Michelle: (nods) "That's one way of putting it. I-I mean, I was hoping it'd happen, only when you were ready, though."

Nikolas: "Michelle, I love you and Andrew more than life itself. You're my reason for living. You make me happier than I ever thought I could be. I actually wanted to do this a few days ago. I decided it was best to do it now because all our wishes came true in getting custody of Andrew and Gislo/Sparrow are behind bars."

(Michelle happily cries as Nikolas continues)

Nikolas: "Will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me, baby?"

(Michelle couldn't help but admire the 5 carat rose shaped diamond ring. It was so beautiful. She looks at her true love and laughs happily)

Michelle: "Yes! Yes! I would love to!"

(He slides the ring on her ring finger and she jumps into his waiting arms. Everyone claps for the newly engaged couple. Nikolas and Michelle kiss and grin at each other)

Nikolas: "Can life get any better?"

Michelle: "Nope. As long as I have you and our son, I'm the happiest woman alive."

Nikolas: "I love you."

Michelle: "I love you, too."
