A couple hours later...

It was already time for Summer to finally get off of work...

After collecting her things and getting dressed in her regular clothes again, Summer exited through the Boardwalk's front gates ready to head back home. However, once she got to the parking lot, she was surprised yet angered by what she ended up seeing when she got there. There was a bunch of cars parked in every single parking space...however, none of them are Chaz's car. She looked at every single car that was parked and literately, none of them were Chaz's car. To think that she wasn't already annoyed with him already, now he's late to pick her up...for some reason. To her, at this point, this was just typical of him.

Summer places her sports bag onto the ground, looking through it to find her phone. After rummaging around for a good few minutes, the blonde finally found her phone in one of the side pockets of the bag. She stood back up from the ground, all while texting her boyfriend on his current location. After she sent him a text asking him where he was, Chaz was quick to text back to her.

'Hey babe. Sorry that I'm not there to pick you up yet, the traffic is terrible where I'm at right now. I'm trying to get there as fast as I can, just wait a couple more minutes and be patient. Okay?' Chaz's text said.

After reading that text, Summer just sighed in defeat. She honestly couldn't believe that she was going to be stuck waiting in the parking lot for who knows how many more minutes longer. It was already bad enough that she had went through an incredibly boring day at her job, but the fact that her boyfriend was going to make her wait here even longer is now just tedious to her. She wishes that there was some sort of alternative to her situation right now.

Summer looked away from her phone, hearing the sound of Luke's voice from close by. She looked towards the direction she was hearing his voice from, seeing him talking to a few of the surfers that he was hanging out with by the side of one of the parked cars. It seems like he was about to head on home, just like Summer was doing right now. Considering that she didn't have a ride home, and that her boyfriend is being as incompetent as usual, she then decided that it would be best if she got a ride home with Luke instead of Chaz.

'Actually Chaz...I texted one of my friends, and they said they will be picking me up instead. You don't have to worry about being late to pick me up.' Summer texted to him.

'Really? Well, okay, if you say so. You sure you don't want me to come over to pick you up?' Chaz asked her in his next text.

'No. Don't. I'm totally cool, also, they're right nearby anyway. I'll just...see you sometime tomorrow, okay? Bye.' Summer's next text said. After her text, she then places her phone into her jacket pocket, before picking up her sports bag to head over to where Luke was.

Once she got to where her new friend was, Summer stood there observing what she was seeing. Luke was now wearing a plain white t-shirt with baggy light blue jeans. His car was...almost what she had been expecting, which was a small van that looks like the ones surfers would drive back in the Sixties. The fact that she could faintly hear surfer music coming from there was also something that she had expected. Regardless, this kind of car will have to do rather than sit around here and wait for Chaz to get here.

Summer finally decided to walk up to her new friend so that she can ask him for a ride home. She was a little nervous to do so, considering that she felt like asking Luke to do this is probably asking too much. Then again, the two are beginning to like each other so far, not to mention that this would be the very first favor that she'd be asking him to do for her. Hopefully, he will just say 'yes' to her regardless.

Once Summer caught up to Luke, she knocked on one of the back-doors in order to get his attention. "Hey...Luke." Summer slowly said, causing the surfer to poke his head out the window of his car.

"Oh, what's up Summer?" Luke said. "You heading home too?"

"Yeah, I am...or trying to..." The lifeguard's smile slowly became a frown as she began to lie about why she is still here. "Turns out, my boyfriend was meant to pick me up after work today, but...he's busy...so..." The blonde then places her hands on her hips, before finally getting to the point of what she was saying. "...I...hope it's not a problem if I asked you if you could drive me home instead...will you?"

"Sure, dude. I don't see why not." Luke points to the seat next to him. "Hop on in."

"Awesome."

Summer places her sports bag into the backseat of the car, then got into the front seat to sit next to Luke. She looked around the dashboard for a few seconds, trying to find something on it until she found a napkin that was sticking out of one of the cup-holders. She then pulled out a pen, writing something down onto it, then handed it over to Luke.

"Here's my street address, Luke." Summer said while handing the napkin over to him. "Hopefully this location won't be too hard to find around the neighborhood."

Luke took a good look at the address, and when he saw it, he was immediately surprised by it. "Wait a minute, this is your street address, dude?"

"Yeah...why?" Summer asked confused.

"One of my friends actually lives next to your house." The man then pointed at the backseat behind him. "He told me to drop his surfboard off at his house today since he's going off to see the doctors right now."

"Really? How coincidental than."

"Alright..." Luke then started his car, then backed out of the parking space that he was in. "Let's get going then." After getting out of the parking space, Luke began to make his way out of the parking lot and made his way to the neighborhood.

As they were leaving the shoreline area of Simport, Summer glanced at the street that was to their left, seeing that in hindsight, Chaz was wrong. There were about probably thousands of cars lined up down the opposite path that they were going right now. Whether it would be to go to the beach, or head out of Simport in general, that street was nearly packed to the brim with cars. It would seem like Summer had gotten lucky to have asked Luke to take her home instead. She probably would've been here forever.

It took a bit to get back to her home, but they finally made it there...

Once they had found the house, Luke parked in Summer's driveway. Both of them got out of the vehicle and went off to do two different things. Luke went off to place his friend's surfboard in front of his door like he was told to earlier, as Summer was prepared to enter her house to call it a day. She pulled her keys out of her sports bag, then entered her house.

When Summer got into her house, she closes the door behind herself, placed her sports bag by the side of her couch, then proceeded to do what she'd normally do whenever she got home from work. She turned the radio on, grabbed one of the books off of her bookshelf, then collected a beer from her kitchen. After doing all of this, she went over to her couch and then began reading the book she had selected for herself, all while the song 'Thunder' by The Imagine Dragons played throughout her living room. All of this was rather relaxing to her, especially after a day as boring as the one that she had today. For Summer, nothing can ruin this moment for her right now...

But that was until a knock came at the door...

Summer glared over to the door, believing that it was one of three people who could be at her door. Either it's Chaz to ruin her relaxation with his mere existence...Crystal so that she can mock and insult her as per usual...or Derek, just being the same neighborhood bully that he had always been back when he was still a teen. Either way, Summer places her book aside, then stood up to give whoever was at her door a piece of her mind. Right as she opened the door, she was about to yell at whoever was outside, only to stop when she saw that it was only Luke.

"Dude, somebody looks angry." Luke said, sounding as laid-back as he usually does.

Summer's angry expression slowly became a look of surprise and guilt. "Oh...Luke...I didn't think that you'd still be here." She told him. "What are you still doing at my house?"

"I was...just telling you I was heading off. I thought I'd just let you know before I left."

"Oh...well..." The girl then smiled before stepping aside. "You know, it's not like I don't mind you being here anyway. Please, come in."

"Okay." The surfer stepped into his new friend's house, all while Summer closes the door behind him. Luke looked around the living room when he walked in. "Wow, I got to say, I passed this house about once or twice, and I didn't expect how nice it would look inside."

"Thanks." Summer then places the book she previously had on the coffee table in front of her, allowing Luke to sit next to her. "...I come from a rich background, I must add. Both my mom and dad are doctors at the hospital in the DownTown area."

"Really...that must be neat."

"Yeah." Summer then took a sip of her drink, before continuing to talk. "...Although, they are never home most of the time...but, I'm happy about that, since...those two bicker at each other way too much..." The girl then rolled her eyes. "It's like me and Crystal arguing, except much worse..."

"Crystal? Who's that?"

Summer opened her mouth to speak, but then decided to drop that topic of conversation. "It...doesn't really matter who she is, really...long story short, she's a bitch."

"Damn..."

"A bitch who tricks me like crap...also, a 'good friend' of my boyfriend." She then groaned before continuing to talk about it. "I guess you can say that she's pretty much the main reason why I'm going to later on break up with him."

Both then became silent after that was said. Neither of them really knew what to say next, nor did they know what to even do next. Luke certainly wasn't so sure what to even tell Summer, as he had never encountered this kind of situation in his entire life. As for Summer, she honestly wasn't too sure what to even say to her friend either, considering that he doesn't know all that much about Chaz, Crystal...hell, he didn't know all that much about her yet. All in all, both sat there rather awkwardly.

Eventually, one of them finally did something after about a couple more seconds has passed. Summer had decided to stand up off of the couch and make her way over to the radio in order to turn it off. Right after she did that, she turned towards her new friend before asking him something.

"Luke...this is going to sound weird of me to ask, but do you...or do you not...like me?" Summer asked him.

"What do you mean?" He asked her. "So far, you're a pretty cool girl to have as a friend."

"No, I mean...do you like me enough to start a relationship with me?"

"Well...that's a bit of a stretch, but...don't you already have a boyfriend?"

"I'll break things off with him tomorrow. Right now...I just really want to be with somebody different...somebody who's a lot more caring towards me rather than a bitch that he calls a friend...somebody who wouldn't be constantly focused on his friends...somebody who...isn't easily jealous, and was never a bully..." The girl then pointed at the surfer now. "I want somebody like you to be mine, and I know that we only just met today, but...who says that things won't work out later down the road, am I right?"

"I...guess..." Luke then stood up from the couch, before rubbing the back of his neck. "...I mean, it feels weird starting a relationship, since...really, you'd be the first girlfriend that I ever dated, so..."

"So, I guess I'll be your first."

Summer then turns around, entering the kitchen. She took another beer from the refrigerator, then headed out of the kitchen so that she can hand the can over to her surfer friend. Once she handed him a can, she picked up the one that she was previously drinking from before, going over to him with a smile on her face.

"Well...cheers, for the start of a new relationship..." Summer said with a smile.

Luke gave his new girlfriend a smirk, before nodding his head. "Cheers then, dude...I mean, babe." He said with a chuckle.

After the two had said all of that, the two leaned into each other, kissing each other on the lips. For Summer, this felt like the beginning of something new, and way better too. Kissing Chaz with all the grievances she had about their relationship felt more and more tedious each day. Forming a relationship with somebody else behind his back felt like it was going to be a lot more better and a lot less stressful.

Meanwhile...

With Tim...

The man with blue hair was just doing his daily afternoon walk around the neighborhood, just enjoying the day as it is. The birds were chirping above, there was a single cloud in the sky, and the streets around the neighborhood were clear for somebody to walk on without a single danger to worry about. All in all, everything today just seemed like a good day.

Unfortunately, while he was walking along the road, he was just about to pass by Summer's house. Nothing really seemed too out of the ordinary for him upon first glance, but when he looked again, he noticed that somebody's car was parked in the driveway. It wouldn't be too bad for him, considering that he knows Summer's parents have a car of their own...but this car didn't look like her parents car at all. This car looked nothing like Tim has ever seen before.

It was even then, Tim quickly took noticed of the window that was to Summer's living room. The curtain was open so that Tim could see what was happening inside his best friend's girlfriends house. He quickly made his way over there so that he can see what was going on, only to be horrified by the looks of what was actually happening. He was watching as Summer and Luke were kissing each other in the living room.

'Oh my...am I really seeing this right now? Summer's with some other guy?!' Tim asked in his head as he continued to watch in horror what was happening.

Tim just stood there continuing to watch, up until Summer and Luke had left to another room to be alone. The man then lowered himself to the ground below, staying hidden from sight in case one of them comes back. He was left both awestruck and horrified by what he had just witnessed inside his own friend's house.

'I can't believe that I am actually seeing what I was seeing...' Tim said in his thoughts. 'Chaz is not going to be happy hearing about this...'
