Later on that night...
With Katie now...
Like she had decided to do earlier today, Katie was off to Gino's Pizzeria for dinner tonight. She had already informed her father about her plans for dinner tonight, to which he allowed, since neither of them had anything planned for them to have tonight anyway. She hadn't informed him that she was going to be hanging out with Chaz tonight though. Considering the fluke that happened two days ago, she rather not bring me up to him yet. The last thing she needed was for him to be upset the week she had returned home.
Katie was the first one between her and Chaz to have made it to Gino's Pizzeria first. She decided to wait outside for him, watching the day become to night as she was out there. She wasn't too sure where he was right now, considering she had texted him a couple moments ago, telling her that he was already on his way over there right now. Hopefully, he won't making her wait any longer.
Thankfully, she didn't actually have to wait any longer...
After she had turned her head towards where the construction site was at, she saw Chaz's car driving over to where she was sitting at. Katie stood up from the bench outside the pizza place, right as the biker was pulling up to park. Once parked, Chaz got out of his vehicle, and went over to the tomboy to meet up with her.
"There you are." Katie said while crossing her arms. "Where have you been?"
"Chill out, Princess...I was stuck in traffic. I've been stuck in it trying to get to Summer too." Chaz told her, before pointing towards the street where the construction site was located at. "The auto-shop I work at is somewhere close by the construction site over there, and I don't know what's going on over there, but Patrick seriously needs to keep his work vehicles off the street."
"Well, they are working on the road over there." The tomboy raises an eyebrow at Chaz. "There wasn't an alternate road for you to drive down?"
"Nope...well, only the alley-ways, and even then those places are completely blocked with either trash cans or abandoned vehicles. So I was stuck for nearly two hours in that God damn traffic-jam." The biker then let out a stressed groan, before turning back towards Katie again. "Thankfully though, I didn't have to worry too much about Summer. She called one of her friends and they picked her up from work instead. Now I'm here to have dinner with you."
"Alright then. I had already told the dude with the blue hair inside to save a table in there for us while I was waiting for you. Hopefully, there's still a table available in there."
"I hope so too, because I'm starving."
"So I am, dude. So am I." The two began to walk up the steps, before Katie stops in her tracks to glare behind herself for a second to tell Chaz about something that he had said during their conversation. "By the way...never call me 'Princess' at all. That is NOT cool, dude."
Hearing the annoyed tone in the tomboy's voice caused the biker to give her a smirk. "Why? What's wrong with that? It's not like I'm calling you 'chump' like most of the people who gets on my nerves."
"Yeah, well, being called that gets on my nerves. Not quit calling me that already, tough guy."
All the biker did after that was said was just narrowed his eyes at the tomboy's words. "Tough guy? Of all things to call me, you went with 'Tough Guy'? Really?" He then rolled his eyes, before circling around her to get to the door behind her. "No offense, Princess...but you could've said something way better than that. Let's just go inside already."
Katie just crossed her arms glaring at Chaz, watching him enter the pizzeria as she stood there. She lets out a sigh, before muttering something to herself. "Somehow, I feel like I'm going to completely regret allowing us to hang out tonight..." She simply muttered, before following Chaz into the building.
Once the both of them got inside the pizzeria...
Katie and Chaz both went up to the front counter, which was where Chef Gino was standing at. The tomboy talked to him for a bit, even mentioning that one of his employees was saving them a table for them to sit at while she was waiting outside. The two were then given a booth table to sit at, as well as two menus so that they can pick out what kind of food that they will be having. Once all of that was done, Gino went off to make some food for more of his customers.
Both of them were just sitting there, looking at their menus in silence. The only noise that can be heard around them were the sound of the other customers talking, as well as the jukebox playing the song 'Suspicious Minds' by Elvis Presley on it. Neither Katie or Chaz interacted with one another while they were sitting there looking at their menus. Occasionally, Katie would just glare up from her menu to see what Chaz was doing, but that's it. It was really silent between the both of them for the next few minutes.
It wasn't until Ghostly arrived at their table that their silence was finally broken. "Hey Katie. Sorry for the wait." Ghostly told them. "So, are you and your friend here ready to order?"
"I'll just take the pepperoni pizza with a Pepsi please." Katie told him while handing him her menu.
"As for you, sir?" Ghostly asked Chaz.
"I'll just take the mozzarella sticks with a Pepsi please." The biker said, before handing his menu over to Ghostly now.
"Okay then..." Ghostly writes both of their orders down on the notepad that he had been carrying, before bowing his head at them. "It might take awhile due to the amount of customers that we have around here, but don't you guys worry, we will have your orders here before you know it." The man then heads off, leaving Katie and Chaz alone once again.
"You...know that guy?" Chaz asked the tomboy.
"Yeah, Ghostly Alder. We only met yesterday when I was on my lunch break." Katie told the biker. "He was walking somewhere, and while he was walking, he dropped a letter he'd been carrying onto the ground by mistake. So I picked it up, we talked a bit, and...next thing you know, we're friends now." The tomboy then rubbed her chin, seemingly confused. "Although, I wish I knew where he was off to. Dude seemed to be in such a rush yesterday."
"Not sure either. I only just met the guy right now." Chaz then looked off to where waiter was right now. "For a moment, I thought that dude was your boyfriend or something?"
"Boyfriend? Oh no, we only just met yesterday, and really, I just see us as friends. Also...I talked with one of my friends recently, Violet Nightshade, and...she's actually planning on dating him."
"Violet Nightshade? Poppy's older sister?" Katie nodded her head to the biker's question. "I thought she was dating that one dude who was from Cutopia, Wales."
"She was, but...then differences got in the way of their relationship. He was trying to make her like a lot of cute things, trying to change her goth lifestyle, hating the way that she dressed...overall, Violet finally decided to dump him because of these reasons. So...she's planning on dating Ghostly instead."
"I always say that Violet deserved a way better boyfriend than Daniel anyway." The biker said with a clear sign of indifference in his voice. "Oh well, that's a shame."
"Tell me about it. But...from the looks of him, Ghostly's a lot more nicer and more genuine a person compared to that Daniel dude. I hope that their relationship is a lot more better." Katie then shrugged her shoulders, before continuing to talk some more. "As for me, I'm not really planning on having a boyfriend anytime soon. I had just returned to Simport days ago, and...really, I rather be focused on helping my dad out at his workplace."
"Seems noble...at least your work feels like paradise for you, while mine is literately a complete hellhole to work at."
"Uh...how come?"
"Let's just say that...compared to your dad, my dad is a total asshole to both me and Tim. Ever since my parents divorced, my dad went from causally bored to constantly angry and irritated...the only things that bastard knows how to do is either fix cars, yell, scream, or drink." Katie cringed, before the biker continued to talk. "All I can say is that one of these days, me and Tim are going to be quitting that place and find ourselves a different auto-shop to work at. I like fixing cars and all, but I hate having to work alongside my dad."
"Well, do what you got to do, I guess..."
"Thank you." Chaz then sighed, calming himself down in order to change the topic. "Anyways, can we focus on something else now? Why don't we talk about you now, Katie? How about that?"
"Okay...what do you want to know?"
"Well, out of all of the girls that I have met by far, you're pretty much the only girl that I know who's moved out of town for awhile, then came back." Chaz then raises an eyebrow at her. "What made you move out of town?"
"Last year, back in 2017, I was still debating whether or not I should work alongside my father at his dentist or work at a different dentist independently...so, we came to a mutual agreement and I went off to Augusta to spend a year in college, just so I can figure out what I wanted to do with my life." The tomboy then shrugged her shoulders, before continuing to explain her reasons. "Truthfully...me working with my father would've happened inevitably...but, hey, at least I got to spend time with my cousin Vance while I was there. Like me, he was also considering assisting at my dad's dentist. However...he changed his mind..."
"Really now? What made him change his mind?"
"Well...I don't exactly remember when he decided this, but I remember that I was studying at our college's library when he came up to me to say he had changed his mind on working with my dad after college. We talked it out a bit, mainly just to make sure that this is really want he wanted to do with his life, and...well, his mind was already made up, and knowing my cousin, there's no way to convince otherwise." Katie then sighed, before tapping her fingers on the table. "Honestly, I should've expected this though..."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, back when we were both kids, we decided to watch a movie together when me and my dad were both visiting him at my aunt and uncle's house." The tomboy then leans back in her seat, placing a hand on the side of her forehead. "Neither one of us could figure out what we wanted to watch, so...my uncle decided for us, and we ended up watching that live-action Scooby Doo movie. You know...the one with Sarah Michelle Geller in it."
"You're kidding?" Chaz asked, looking like he's about to burst into laughter at any second.
"I'm not. He loved watching it, while I was just...bored." The tomboy then straightened herself on her seat, continuing to talk. "Ever since then, he became obsessed with shows and movies that have mysteries in them, up to the point where he wanted to became an Agency at the SPA Agency."
"Well...I guess all I can say is what you said to me moments ago."
"That is?" Katie asked confused.
"Do what you got to do, I guess. If he's not changing his mind, he's not changing his mind."
"Knowing my cousin, yeah." Katie then rubs the back of her neck, before asking him something about that. "Hey...if you and my dad ever...become friends...can you not tell him about Vance's decision to not assist him when he comes to Simport? The last thing I need is for my dad to get disappointed in him for something."
"Okay...you have my word then."
Katie then smiled. "Awesome."
Meanwhile...
With Tim...
It was at that moment, Tim had finally arrived at the Main Street area of Simport...
After what he had witnessed at Summer's house, he had to find and inform Chaz of what he had just seen. For about an hour already, he had been trying to find Chaz everywhere throughout Simport. He tried to find him at his house, but his friend wasn't there. He tried texting and calling him, asking him if they can talk, but Chaz wouldn't answer him. Tim was left alone to try to find his friend around town.
Tim got off of the bus that he had took in order to get here to this street. This was pretty much the only place in Simport that he knew Chaz would be hanging out at, so he had to check around here to see if he was around. If Chaz wasn't at either his house, his workplace, or any of the places that they normally hang out at, then Main Street is pretty much his last option where he can find him. Hopefully for Tim, Chaz wasn't too far now.
Once he got off of the bus, Tim stepped onto the sidewalk, which was when he heard the sound of an all too familiar voice. "Hey! Fancy meeting you here again!" A female voice said from the bus stop's bench.
Tim quickly turned his head towards the bench to see who was even talking to him. When he did, he was quite surprised to see that it was Pinky who was sitting there. Upon seeing his new friend sitting there, he couldn't help but found himself smiling by the sight of her sitting there near him.
"We really need to stop bumping into each other like this." Tim said with a smile on his face. "What are you doing out here, Pinky?"
The girl in blue stood up from the bench, before walking over to Tim. "I was just heading home from work." Pinky said. "What about you? What are you doing out here at such a time? The sun's beginning to set."
"I-I know that. I'm just trying to find a friend of mine around here so that I can tell him something important. His girlfriend is cheating on him with another man." Hearing this caused Pinky to become shocked. "You remember that one guy who drove you home when we were at the mall, right?"
"Isn't that his car over there?" Pinky pointed to the red car behind Tim, the one that was parked near the park next to the pizzeria. "Isn't his girlfriend some girl with a baseball cap?"
Hearing that, Tim became even more confused by what's going on. "Girl in a baseball cap? What?"
It was this moment that Tim turned around to see Chaz's car parked by the sidewalk near Gino's Pizzeria. Both he and Pinky went over to the window of the building, then peeked inside in order to find where Chaz and his new friend were located at. It took a bit, but Tim finally managed to find the table that Chaz and Katie were both sitting at, and when he found them, he was just as shocked as he did when he saw Summer with Luke. Granted, rather than kissing, the two were laughing and talking with each other, but still, Tim was shocked to really be seeing THIS right before his very eyes.
"This can't be happening right now!" Tim said almost out loud. "Chaz is with some other girl! What is going on here?!"
"Maybe it's all just a misunderstanding." Pinky said in an attempt to reassure Tim about this situation. "Maybe she's just a friend."
"If that girl's just a friend, I'd know about her by now." Tim then went over to the door to the pizzeria. "Come on, Pinky...let's confront him about this."
"Confront him?" The girl then turned her head towards the door, seeing that Tim had already entered the building. "I can't believe I'm being dragged into this..." She then quickly followed her friend into the building.
Once they got inside, Tim and Pinky moved passed the customers waiting in line at the front counter, then headed over to the area with the tables. They moved around every single table, dodging all the waiters and the tray-carts, until they finally made it to the table where Chaz and Katie were sitting at. Once they made it, Tim went up to the table. Pinky remained standing nearby, not wanting to be apart of this confrontation.
"Chaz!" Tim said in a stern tone of voice, all while leaning on the table in the process.
"Tim?" Chaz asked his best friend, voice sounding both surprised yet confused with what's going on. "What are you doing here?"
"I was going to ask you that." Tim then pointed at Katie, who was visibly just as confused as the biker right now. "What are you doing here with another girl?"
"Dude, first off, chill out." He then pointed at the tomboy in front of him. "Also, this is Katie. That girl that Crystal's been wanting us to meet with. She invited me out here so that we can have dinner together...as friends."
Tim then looked over to Katie, raising his eyebrow in confusion. "You're Katie?"
"Yeah...and I'm guessing you're Tim, huh?" Katie asked. Tim nodded his head. "I...didn't expect Chaz to be friends with a dude who has a dog hat like that."
"I think it's cute." Pinky said nearby.
Katie then looks behind her seat, seeing Pinky standing nearby. "Who are you?"
"Somebody...trying to stay out of this argument..." The girl in blue muttered to herself.
"What's going on, Tim?" Chaz asked his best friend.
"Well, you're going to not believe me when I say this, but..." Tim took a bit of a pause, before finally getting to the point. "...I was walking passed Summer's house, and I saw her kissing another man!"
"She was kissing another man?!" Tim nodded his head, as Chaz stood up from the table. "Dude, you've got to be lying about all of this. Summer would never cheat on me."
"Chaz, would I lie to you about anything?"
Chaz was about to say something, until he found himself unable to. "You know now that you mention it, you wouldn't. Good point, Tim." The biker pats his friend on the arm, before proceeding to be a little skeptical about what's going on. "Although, could it still be possible that all of this is some sort of misunderstanding? I still don't think Summer would really cheat on me."
"I saw what I saw, dude." Tim then shrugged his shoulders. "I'm sorry. I wish I was lying right now, but I'm not."
Chaz nodded his head. "If all of this really is true, then I'm going to have to talk to Summer about this tomorrow."
"That's...probably a good idea..." Tim then cringed. "Also, sorry about assuming that...you're cheating on Summer with that girl Crystal is friends with."
"It's all good, Tim. Don't worry about it." Chaz pats his best friend on the shoulder one more time, before sitting back down onto his seat. "I'll see you some time tomorrow."
"Alright..." Tim looked over to Katie one more time, before he finally decided to leave the pizzeria building. Pinky soon followed to head on home too, leaving Chaz and Katie to be alone at their table once again.
