The next day...
With James...
After everything that had happened to him yesterday, all that James hoped for today was that this day gets better for him. Unfortunately for him, he was going to discover that this day being good was about to be nothing more but a pipe dream for him. Today for him was going to become a lot worse than it already was yesterday. Little did he know, that today was the day of all days...when she returned to his house.
Like most mornings, now that he had graduated and that he didn't have a shift at his work today, James decided to just continue sleeping for a couple more minutes. It didn't last too long however, as out of nowhere, he realized that sunlight was shining into his eyes. To him, this seemed rather peculiar, as he always had his curtains closed since the sunlight always woke him up, and he remembered quite clearly that he had them closed last night. He was curious with what was even going on, which was the moment he finally decided to wake up.
Sitting up, James turned his head towards the window, seeing that the curtains were, in fact, opened. He was still confused how this even happened, until he found the person who had opened it...standing right in front of his doorway. The person standing there is a woman who has black hair that reaches down to her shoulders and a dark blue beret on her head. She was also wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and a dark pink skirt, with matching dark pink boots. Upon seeing her standing there, James's tired expression disappeared rather quickly as he was shocked by the sight of this person. Of all days that this person can return home, it had to be now.
"Dost thou sleeping upon our return?" The woman asked him with a clear old English accent in her voice. "Typical...I mustn't expect much out of you whenever I leave home, James."
"Victoria?! What are you doing back?!" James asked, now sounding angry by her mere existence. "I thought mom said you guys were returning in a couple days!"
"Well...James...me, Emily, and my father were only going to be in Vermont for about a week, and a week had already ended." Victoria then went over to the window, closing the curtains in the process. "Thou missed all the fun, might I add. So much sights that you've missed, many stores you've could've shopped at...and for what? Playing video games? Reading comic books?"
"A vacation with you anywhere would be Hell on Earth for somebody like me, really."
"The feeling's mutual. Indeed, much mutual, Louiston."
"Whatever..." It was at this moment, James stood up out of his bed so that he can finally start the day. "Where's mom and Trevor anyway? Now that you're here, I thought I'd be hearing them unpacking some of their suitcases, or talking, or something."
"Both of them are at the supermarket at the moment, since they had discovered that there's not a lot of food in the refrigerator downstairs. They might be out for a little while."
James then rolled his eyes. "Wonderful...the least mom could've done was said 'Hi' to me before leaving..." He muttered to himself, before he went over to the door. "Anyways, I'm going to get ready for the day now. You mind getting out of my room?"
"Very well, I must unpack my belongings anyhow." Victoria went over to the door, before turning around to face James one last time. "Good day to you, Louiston."
"Yeah...good day to you too, Verily." James closes the door while Victoria went off to her own bedroom. He then turned around, visibly still angry that she was back of all people. "Damn it, I hate that girl..." He muttered to himself.
It was pretty obvious that James and Victoria don't like each other one bit. Ever since they first met in drama class back in high school, both of them hated each other and were often at each other's throats. The fact that their both James's mother and Victoria's father are now married to each other, only made them hate each other even more than they already do. Sometimes, neither one of them will ever figure out what their parents see in each other, enough to the point where they got married.
A couple minutes passed by, as James went off to do what he would normally do whenever he got out of bed. He showered, got dressed, brushed his teeth, ate breakfast, and...then just sat in the living room and watched TV to himself. This was pretty much another average day for somebody like James. Nothing more, nothing less. Sad to say, but he ended up getting bored of doing this after about a couple seconds.
Feeling the need to see what his friends are doing, James decided to pull his phone out to see what Ray and Raven were up to. Out of both goths that he was friends with, it was obvious that he was going to call Ray first between the two. He also wanted to inform him of the fact that Victoria was also back in Simport as well, mainly because of one...certain thing. After a couple seconds passed, Ray finally answered James's call.
"Hey James. What's going on?" Ray asked his friend. "I'm surprised to be getting a call from you right now. You'd usually be sleeping around this time."
"I know, I know..." James started off saying, before leaning back on the couch. "However, my mom, step-father, and step-sister have finally came back home after their one week vacation to Vermont...and let's just say that one of them decided that I shouldn't be sleeping in this morning."
"Let me guess...Victoria woke you up?"
"What do you think? Ever since my mom married her dad, Victoria's been making my life a living hell ever since. She has got to be the most selfish and impulsive person I have ever met back in the Royal Academy, apart from Chaz McFreely, and his bitch girlfriend." The goth then leans back onto the couch, letting out a stressed groan. "Here I thought that today was going to be way better than yesterday. Damn, I was completely wrong."
"Hey, speaking of which, what happened to you yesterday? Me, Raven, nor Violet had heard from you all day, which...concerned us."
"It's...a long story...I'll explain it to you when I stop by your house later on."
"Man, sorry James...about an hour from now, there's going to be this huge storm coming up to Simport. I had gotten a call from my cousin down in Massachusetts a couple minutes ago, informing me ahead of time so that me and Raven are safe."
"Well damn...that's a shame then..." James then stood up from the couch, before deciding to end the call right then and there. "Anyways, I guess I'll talk to you about it on the phone later, when I don't have to deal with my step-sister's bullshit. You be safe out there, okay?"
"Okay. You stay safe too, James." After that was all said and done, the phone call had ended.
Seeing no other choice but to just head and play some video games to himself, James decided to get off of the couch and make his way upstairs. Right as he was about to walk up the stairs, he glanced upward seeing Victoria was standing right on top of the stairs. He wasn't sure why she was just standing there, but James could only assume one of two things. She was either eavesdropping on his conversation with Ray, or she was going to be blocking his way to get back to his bedroom. Honestly, James wouldn't be surprised if it was either.
"Should I even ask what you're doing?" James asked. "Move out of the way, Victoria. I'm going to be playing video games in my room now."
Victoria then pointed down the stairs. "That wouldn't happen to be Ray, now would it?" She asked her step-brother, rather sheepishly. All James could do in response was just glare at her with a raised eyebrow, to which she quickly noticed. "W-Why is thou making such a face at me?"
"Ray has a girlfriend."
One thing James knew about Victoria is back during high school, she has a huge crush on Ray. He pretty much knew, knowing every time he would see Ray talking to her during drama class, she would always look like she's falling for him. She would never really be able to confess her true feelings for him, as anytime James would bring it up to her, she would always go into complete denial over it. Right now is no different either, as she immediately became surprised and appalled by what James had said.
"Thou mustn't be serious!" Victoria blurts out, clearly blushing at what her step-brother had said to her. "The words spoken out of thine lips is ridiculous!"
"There's really no need to deny it, Victoria." James said with a smirk on his face. "I believe that it's pretty obvious."
"Enough! I shalt not hear another word from thee!" The girl then turned around, beginning to make her way up the stairs, as the goth continued to smirk. "I must continue unpacking my belongings now! Leave me be as I do so."
As she headed into her bedroom, James just began to make his way up the stairs. "Yeah...she has a crush on him..." He said almost silently to himself.
Meanwhile...
With Chaz...
It was pretty much the moment of truth for him to figure out if all of what Tim said was true or not...
Chaz was on his way to Summer's house, not only to take her to work, but he also wanted to know if it was true if she was cheating on him or not. He wanted to believe that Tim was lying to him about all of this, but he knew the blue-haired man out of everybody in the town, and he knew that Tim wouldn't he even remotely capable of lying. But even if that's the case, the biker was still having a bit of hope that all of this was some sort of misunderstanding. That Tim might be mistaking all of this for something totally different. He sure hopes that that is the case.
It was at that moment, Chaz finally arrived at his girlfriend's house. He parked in front of her house, then got out of the car. He remained standing there staring directly at her house, admittedly hesitant to actually go up to talk to her for the first time. After everything that Tim had informed him of last night, he was slowly becoming even more worried if what he had told him was true or not. Remaining stoic as always, Chaz took a deep breath before finally walking towards the front door.
Chaz went up to the front door, prepared to finally figure out what's really going on here. He knocked on the door, then stood back so that he can wait for Summer to answer the door for him. For some reason, Summer was taking a lot longer than she usually does whenever she's getting prepared for work. He knocked again, wondering what was taking her so long, until the girl finally answered the door.
"Chaz? What are you doing here?" Summer asked him. "I don't have work today."
"What are you talking about? Of course you do." Chaz said, a little confused by what she was talking about.
"Not anymore. Tad warned me that a storm was on its way to Simport right now, so...we had to call of my work-shift today. Nobody would go to the beach with a massive hurricane here." She then pointed at the sky. "Either way, have you not seen the dark clouds in the sky on the way here? I thought that you'd already know this by now."
Chaz backed away from Summer's house for a moment, before finally looking up at the sky. From a distance, he could see a whole bunch of dark clouds making their way over to the town. Thunder was heard in the distance, and Chaz could see some lightning out there in the distance also. He must've been too distracted by his thoughts to have even noticed it.
"Damn..." He muttered to himself, before walking back over to Summer again. "Alright then...well, apart from work, I was needing to talk to you about something that Tim had told me last night."
"About what?" Summer asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well...from what he had told me, and...this might sound a little funny, but..." Chaz began to rub the back of his neck, before he continued to explain what his best friend had told him. "...You've been cheating on me with another guy."
"Really? When did he see this?"
"Yesterday." The biker shrugged, before continuing. "I mean...I don't exactly know when he saw you two, but...I know he told me that you and some random guy were just kissing in your living room. Is this true?"
Summer just stood there, visibly surprised that Tim had somehow discovered her and Luke kissing last night. But to her, this didn't really matter whatsoever. As long as she gets to leave Chaz for Luke, regardless of how everything plays out, then she was totally fine with being caught by his cowardly best friend. At least for her, now that Tim knows, and Chaz somewhat believes it, she doesn't have to feel guilt being blunt about all of this now.
"Tim's not lying to you, Chaz." Summer said, as Chaz's eyes widened at what he was hearing. "I did actually start a new relationship with somebody else behind your back."
"Wait, what?!" Chaz asked, incredibly shocked by what he was hearing. "You really were cheating on me with some random guy?! Who is this guy anyway?!"
"His name is Luke Issac. He's a surfer I met down at the beach just yesterday. He was friendly to me...a lot more friendlier than you, might I add...and so, seeing that he was a nice guy." The blonde girl crossed her arms, now glaring at Chaz as she continued to tell him what had happened, pure contempt in her voice. "Seeing how he seemed a lot more nicer, friendlier, and better a person that he is compared to you, I decided that I should have him as a boyfriend instead. So...I brought him over to my house, which was where we finally declared our new relationship with a kiss...and let's just say immediately after that, Luke got lucky...enough said."
"What...this is..." Chaz was completely at a lost for words. He had no idea how to process any of this being said to him. "Why would you do something like this, Summer? I thought we had true love."
"True love? TRUE LOVE?!" Summer nearly shouts, sounding even more angry then before. "True love, my ass! You nearly ruined me and Travis's friendship because of your sorry ass being jealous! You've continued to be friends with and side with a total bitch who hates me! Let's not forget that you're also constantly late for dates with me, especially with you being late to pick me up from work yesterday!" The girl then points at Chaz's chest, glaring at him directly into his eyes. "You're probably the worst person I could've ever possibly date, and I honestly pity the next girl you end up dating."
Chaz was standing there in complete shock, unmoving after everything that Summer had said during her rant. It was at that moment, the blonde girl looks behind her now exboyfriend, seeing Luke pulling into the driveway. She gave her new boyfriend a smile, before glaring at Chaz again.
"It's over, Chaz." Summer said, before stepping backwards towards her front door. "Goodbye."
Luke walked up to the front porch, noticing Chaz standing there in shock. "I'm...guessing that this man is Chaz, right?" He asked Summer as he walked up to the front door.
"Yeah...I told him everything, and he was just leaving now." The two walked into the house, before Summer glared at Chaz one more time, before slamming the door into his face.
'Did I just...did I got dumped?' Chaz asked himself in his own thoughts. 'I...I can't believe this...'
