Season 3 Episode 4:

(The Ori sieged control over Langara. Jonas Quinn contacts Earth to ask for help.).

It was a quiet day. Teel'c was on Dakara discussing about trade agreements with the Tok'ra. Sam was taking the day off to care for her husband and daughter. Vala and Daniel were off doing their own thing. Mitchell was visiting his friend that is in the hospital after a motorcycle accident.

Conrad was on the other hand, working on a way to get himself home. Three months was he stuck here, he wasn't sure if he could handle another day! He missed his friends and family. He can't even look at this version of Sam without thinking of his Sam. It's a pain in the ass!

As he was attempting to activate the device he was taken into a void, but dropped back into his quarters. "Damn it!" he yelled and kicked his chair over. Picking up the picture of him and his SG-1 he looked at it. "I am sorry guys. I have failed.".

(Meanwhile in another reality where a Sam was waiting for her man to come home, she was sleeping on her arms. A hand tapped on her. Sam jumped up and then went back to work. Jack on the other hand didn't like it. "You need to rest Sam." He said. Sam shook her head. "No, I need to get him home.". Jack sighed. "You haven't slept in days, it's been three months. We can still get him back. Daniel made a breakthrough with the computer we found on PQX-666.".)

Back with Conrad he was in the Mess hall eating, he was eating a well done cooked steak, siding of fries, potatoes and sugar cooked carrots. Usually he preferred braai chops but he will take what he gets. He hasn't eaten all day for he was working. As he was eating a woman came sitting across him. "I am Doctor Lam, I am here to speak with you.".

Conrad rolled his eyes. "I don't need a psychiatrist.". Doc Lam then corrected him. "I am a medical doctor.". Conrad then swallowed hard. "Sorry.". Doc Lam then continued. "Your bloodwork is nothing I have ever seen before." She started. Conrad explained why. "My kind is a hybrid between two different species. I am not a pure blooded Cha'tahr, my father was the System Lord Apophis, who was the founder of an organization that fights other System Lords like Ares. I helped built this organization. The reason my blood is like it is because of one, I am half Goa'uld, my mother was a Tau'ri, and two, I was poisoned that caused Naquadah to build up in my veins. I took an antidote that saved my life.". Doc Lam made notes. "With your blood, we can save a lot of lives.". Conrad shook his head. "It won't work, my kind might not be able to be taken as hosts by Goa'uld, but it doesn't mean that it can be used for medical purposes. If you inject my blood into someone, they will die. You will need to neutralize it first.".

Doc Lam nodded. "Interesting.". The alarms wailed and Conrad went to the control room, habits. Conrad stood there and recognized the address. "That's Langara. An ally.". Landry shook his head. "They were won over by the Ori.". Conrad lifted a brow. "But, that's Jonas Quinn's IDC code.". Mitchell took another look. "It is.". Landry gave the order.

When the iris opened a whole group of soldiers came running in, firing at the wormhole. The iris shut and a man rested on his knees. "That was close.". Daniel jogged to Jonas and helped him to sit down. "What's going on?" he asked. Jonas spoke. "I came because I need help, the Resistance is loosing the war against the Ori.".

Conrad was forced to sit this one out. For starters, Jonas didn't know him, he doesn't know much of the Langara Resistance. But he knows his enemy. He helped heal many soldier's wounds. But one person recognized him. "Maximus?". Conrad turned around to see it was Tomin. "Tomin? Hey." He greet his former "master". "It's actually Conrad." He corrected Tomin. Tomin nodded. "It's good to see you.". Conrad nodded. "What are you doing here anyway?" he asked. Tomin explained that he defected from the Ori and fled to Langara for he didn't know the gate address for Earth.

Conrad decided to use this to his advantage. They can easily take the Ori on now. Although, some people didn't like the idea. "I won't risk it." Landry stated. Conrad crossed his arms. "Sir, I am not part of your SGC, I can go now and take those bastards out! This might be my only chance, we had a deal, I help you fight your war, you help me get home, I am sick and tired of you holding me back!". Landry sneered. "You are the best chance we have against the Ori. I am not losing my best asset.".

Conrad slammed his fist on the desk, denting it. "I am not your pet! I have a family to get back to!" he kind of lied of that, his only living family is his dad, but he considers the team HE works with as family. He sees HIS Sam as family. He won't give up. Even if he has to teer a whole through space time and continuum, he WILL get home.

Sam was at home rocking little Janet. Jack was watching in awe. Boy did he love his wife. Sam then left little Janet to sleep. Sam sat there for a minute. Jack came to sit next to her and wrapped his arms around her. "Something on your mind?" he asked. Sam nodded. "It's Conrad, he has lost a lot, I just think it's fair for me to help him, but Landry thinks he is our best chance against the Ori.". Jack then sighed. "Well, I can maybe persuade him to help this Conrad out, cut him some slack.". Sam nodded. "I agree. He deserves to go home.".

Conrad was locked in his quarters for the time being. Landry was now getting on his bad side. Conrad paced the whole hour he was locked up. His door opened and Jonas stood there. "I understand you and I met before in your reality.". Conrad nodded. "What can I help you with?". Jonas then explained how he wanted to save his world from the Ori, he was desperate and he heard about the extinct Cha'tahr. Conrad agreed to help as long as no one is aware of this. Jonas nodded. "Very well, got any ideas?".

The doors flung open and the two guards were knocked out cold. Conrad and Jonas snuck to the armoury and took the necessary weaponry. Jonas's men were ready, they walked casually to the control room, stun everyone and dialled Langara. Conrad and Jonas made sure the computers to the gate room were disconnected. As they were about to go through Landry's voice was fuming over the speaker. "Captain Baird! What the hell are you doing!?". Conrad eyed him. "Doing my job! And you can't stop me!". Landry spoke in a more calmer manner. "I was about to ask if you needed backup, Captain.".

Conrad looked at the General. "This reality is weird." He said. Jonas laughed. "You have no idea.". SG-1 came in lock and loaded. Mitchell at that moment saw Tomin and aimed his gun on him. "What is he doing here?" he asked. Vala on the other hand greeted him. "Hello Tomin.". Tomin greeted back. "Hi.". Conrad rolled his eyes. "Fight now, pep talks later? Let's go people, I want you all at home for dinner so no time to waste." The men nodded and jogged through the gate. Sam looked at how Conrad was ordering the men, he was like a younger version of Jack. He knew what to do, she saw why in his reality, Sam chose him over another man.

As they arrived at Langara, the Ori attacked. Out of instinct, Conrad held his hand out and a golden like wall formed in front of the men, blocking the Ori attacks. Conrad was impressed. "Well, that was new.". Jonas nodded. They pushed on. Jonas led the men to a museum, everything is being destroyed! Jonas was not happy with this, in fact he was fu-(censored. For a while to describe his feeling.) pissed about it. Conrad took the sniper rifle from Mitchell and shot one guy. He moved down and saw what look like a shield. "Well, I always wanted to be an avenger as a kid." He said. Taking the shield he noticed Ori coming from his left. Shooting at him he used the shield to block their attacks. He then threw it which missed the Ori with barely an inch. It ricocheted from the wall heading back to Conrad, he caught it. The Ori soldiers laughed. "You missed." He mocked. Conrad smirked. "I wasn't aiming at you." He assured. The two soldiers turned around in time to see an entire wall falling onto them.

When he turned around he was greeted by shock. As he was placing why they were looking at him like that, a piece of stone fell from the roof.

*thud

"What?" he asked. He told them to follow him. As they got to what looked like a prior, they saw ADRIA. Vala sighed. "Oh this is gonna be harder then I have hoped." She stated. Conrad felt a tingle in his spine. "I really hope she doesn't go soft soaping. She gives me the creeps.". Mitchell nodded. "Yeah.". Conrad aimed his sniper at Adria's head. For a second he hesitates to pull the trigger. Mitchell told him to do it. But Conrad couldn't, the sweat was building up on his forehead. His eyes were a pale glass like blue. He wasn't conscious.

In his mind, he was what looks like a veld, he recognized it from his days as a teenager, this was where he trained rugby. He noticed he was sitting on one of the benches. Next to him sat Adria. "Hello Conrad, yes I know your real name. I also know you are not from this reality. It's quite fascinating." She said. Conrad got up and stood in front of her. "Why are you in my mind?" he demanded. Adria got up. "So we can speak, without interruptions.". Conrad scoffed. "Yeah? Like I care, I am stuck in a world that isn't mine. You are intruding my mind? That is a little weird. What do you want?" he asked again. Adria chuckled. "You." She said.

Conrad lifted a brow. "Uhhhhhhhhhh, what?". Adria giggled lightly. "I don't know what you call this feeling but, I think it's called being attracted to someone.". Conrad swallowed his own vomit. This is weird. "Are the Ori trying to make me join their side?". Adria placed a hand on his shoulder. "I can show you the real path, I can save you." She said. Conrad tilted his head. "Can you? Because let me tell you something. There is only one god, and I am pretty sure he doesn't dress like that.". Adria looked confused. Conrad waved it off. "Never mind.".

Adria tried again. "Why are you so distant from me? Do you not find me, attractive?" she tried. Conrad laughed. "Vala tried that on me, not gonna work.". Adria then remained quiet. "How is my mother anyway?" she then asked. Conrad shrugged. "Fine I guess.". Adria then embraced him. This was totally off guard. He stalled for a second. Adria spoke. "Who is the blonde?" she asked. Conrad played dumb. "Who?". Adria was in tears again. "Is there someone else?" she asked. Conrad shook his head. "Not in this reality no.". Adria smiled. "Good.". She then lend in slowly. Catching his lips.

Conrad pushed away in that second and wiped his lips with his hands. "WHAT WAS THAT!?" he shouted. Adria felt nervous. "Was that unwelcoming?" she asked a little disappointed. Conrad looked at her with wide eyes. "Yes it was! I have a girlfriend for crying out loud!". Adria bursts once again into tears. "I am sorry." She said. Conrad calmed down. "It's okay, you didn't know, it's not like you can read my mi-" he stopped. Adria, who was facing away from him, smiled at herself. Conrad was now turning red. "You knew my real name, you knew I was thinking on a specific blonde. Are you playing me?" he asked. Adria turned to him. "Is it working?" she asked.

Conrad groaned and cut the connection. Conrad shook his head and aimed again. Teel'c looked at him. "Are you alright Captain Baird? You blacked out for the past five minutes.". Conrad kept his aim. "I am fine.". He pulled the trigger. The bullet went through her. "DAMN!" Conrad yelled. "It's a hologram!". They all got stunned.

Daniel was the last to wake up. He groaned. "My head." He said. Vala was sitting next to him. "Welcome back, sweet dreams about me?" she asked. Daniel, who was used to this, just chuckled. "No.". Conrad was on the other hand in a separate cell. "What's up?" he said sarcastically. Jonas was furious. "You should've taken the shot!" He insulted. Conrad sneered. "A little hard when your mind and consciousness is being controlled!". Jonas crossed his arms. "Yet I thought you can help my people." he said. Conrad rolled his shoulders, bend the bars and walked to the other cells. Broke the locks with his bare hands. Let everyone out and they followed him to the armoury. Conrad took a sword and ran ahead. "I'll catch up!" he said. He ran to the office and attacked the Ori, killed them and aimed his gun at the prior.

The prior smiled at him. "You can't defeat me." He said. Conrad nodded. "I know, but I'll atleast try." He took the sword, threw it, using his powers to block the prior's shield it went right through his head. The prior dropped dead. Jonas came in after like five minutes, he was shocked. Conrad just spoke at him. "You should probably send that transmission to the people.". Jonas nodded and got to work.

"My fellow Langarians, I am Jonas Quinn, leader of the Resistance. I am here to announce that the prior is dead. We are free of the Ori, we can rebuild, restore our faiths, we don't need to live in fear anymore, the Ori are no threat to us. We, are, free.". Cheers are heard all over the city.

Conrad nodded. "You did good." he said. Jonas held his hand out. "Thank you." he said. Conrad shook his hand. "No problem.".
