Later that night...

The storm continued on into the night...

Chaz had pretty much been upstairs throughout a large majority of the day, probably the first day in his entire life that he decided to just stay in his bedroom. He didn't really do anything in his bedroom aside from just sit there and wonder how everything between him and Summer went so wrong. He was getting sick of sulking about it, so he chose now of all times to finally call it a night and sleep. It was almost midnight anyway, so he might as well get to bed already.

Right before he could really get to bed, Chaz decided to check if Tim and Pinky had either left the house yet or not. He hadn't heard from the two ever since he went back upstairs, so he assumed that both of them had left the house despite the storm still going on. He checked the first floor of his house, only to see Tim and Pinky had fallen asleep waiting for this storm to pass by. They must've gotten tired and bored while waiting, so both of them decided to just call it a night and sleep here. It seemed like a better option than going out there into that storm anyway, so he allowed it. So, he silently just went back upstairs.

After heading back upstairs, Chaz went back into his bedroom and laid down in his bed. He just stared up at the ceiling for a couple seconds, feeling just as depressed as he was throughout a large majority of the day. He half-expected Summer to text him about something, since she would usually talk to him before either of them would go to bed. Heck, Chaz honestly expected his exgirlfriend to send a text berating him about their failed relationship just to rub it into his face some more...but nothing ever came to his phone. No text...no call...absolutely nothing.

As he slowly closed his eyes so that he can sleep, Chaz's phone started to ring. He, at first, believed it to actually be Summer who was calling him to most likely insult him and make him feel like crap even more than he already does. When he glanced down to check who the caller was, he was surprised to see that it was none other than Travis calling him instead. He wondered what he wants, considering the two hated each other back in high school. Regardless of this, Chaz answered the call to see what he wanted.

"Hey Chaz..." Travis started off saying, feeling rather awkward about starting this conversation with the biker. "I hope I'm not calling at such a bad time. Me and Liberty heard about what happened between you and Summer."

"Really? How?" Chaz asked, clearly sounding disinterested in talking about all of this.

"Summer actually called Liberty earlier today and told her everything that went down between you and her. I was wanting to call you and talk to you about it, but Liberty told me not to, because...well, you know how she feels about you..."

"It's because Liberty thinks I'm a total asshole? You don't have to sugar-coat it at all, chump...it's not like Liberty's the first girl to think so..."

"Well, I wasn't exactly going to say that that's actually the reason, but..." The man took a bit of a pause, before speaking some more. "...All of that doesn't matter right now. My fiancé is asleep right now, so that gives me a chance to talk to you about what had happened today. All I wanted to really say is that I'm sorry that Summer dumped you...truthfully, despite you were a bully and an asshole to me, I always hoped the best between you and Summer since you guys have always been close."

"Thanks...I guess..." The biker takes a bit of a depressed sigh, before placing a hand on his forehead. "...Also...I guess I'm sorry for...being a bit of an asshole to you in the past. Seeing how things turned out, I guess getting jealous over a girl like Summer was all for nothing..."

"To be fair...after hearing about everything that has happened this morning, all I can tell you is that...I'm willing to put all the bullying that you've done to me behind us. I forgive you." Chaz nodded his head still a bit depressed, before Travis continued to talk. "I...doubt Liberty will ever forgive you, since...personally, she hates you. But, I'm willing to let everything go and forgive you."

"Thanks dude."

"Anyways...I'll hopefully talk to you soon. If the storm finally ends tomorrow, me and Liberty are going to be busy with trying to figure out some things for our wedding later this year."

"You and Liberty are getting married, you say? How am I not surprised?" The biker just gave a smirk, before deciding to end the call now. "Alright, well...good luck with that tomorrow, and talk to you soon, Travis."

"Alright." The call ended there after that was said.

Once the call had ended, Chaz decided now is the time to get to bed. With the thought of Summer on his mind, he felt like he was unable to fall asleep. He just kept tossing and turning, trying to think of anything aside from his ex-girlfriend, until eventually, he finally did fall asleep moments later.

The next day...

With Katie...

The moment that the tomboy had woken up, she was half-expecting the storm to continue on into the next morning. However, instead, she was greeted with the sound of silence coming from outside. Not only that, but she was also greeted by the sunlight, coming through her window, shining into her eyes to wake her up. Opening her eyes, she immediately took realization of what is going on. The hurricane's finally gone.

After taking notice of this, Katie immediately got out of bed and went off to do her usual morning routine like she always do. She got dressed, she ate breakfast, and, as usual, brushed her teeth. After doing all of this, she proceeded to exit the house so that she can enjoy the sights of the sunny outdoors once again.

Standing on the front porch of her house, Katie glanced from the left to the right, enjoying how beautiful the sight of the neighborhood was now that the hurricane was gone. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky, with the only things she can see up there being the birds chirping and an occasional plane flying overhead. On the ground, there were still signs of some dried-up puddles visible on the sidewalk and roads below, while some of the grass were still a bit moist too. Thankfully, nothing from the houses to the fences seemed to have been damaged from the storm last night, as far as she can see. All in all, it just seemed like it was another typical beautiful day here in the town of Simport, just like how she likes it.

Today seemed like a good enough day to skateboard around town like she always does. Her work didn't start until three hours after lunch today, so she has all the entire morning to enjoy the sights of the neighborhood. She walked back into the house, collected her skateboard from the side of the front door, then stepped out of her house once again. Right before she could go however, she poked her head back into the house to tell her dad that she was heading off, not wanting him left in the dark about where she was.

"Hey dad! I'm going to be skateboarding through the neighborhood!" Katie shouts from the front door. "I'll make sure to be at work when my shift starts!"

"Okay!" Katie's father shouts from the kitchen. "You have fun with that, dear!" The tomboy closes the door, then makes her way over to the sidewalk.

Katie places her skateboard down onto the sidewalk, placing a foot onto it afterwards. She then pulled out her phone so that she can listen to music as she skateboarded around the neighborhood. Typically, Katie would listen to pop-punk music whenever she rode her skateboard since that's what she'd normally listen to, but since the morning was so wonderful to her, she decided to pick something different. Instead, Katie decided to skateboard down the sidewalk, listening to the song 'Mr. Blue Sky' by Electric Light Orchestra. She places her headphones into her ears, and then skated off into the neighborhood.

As she skateboarded along the sidewalk, the tomboy jumped over benches and dodged people passing her by along the way down her path. Katie was also going rather fast on her skateboard as she was going down the sidewalk. With how she was happy for this hurricane to finally be over, the only things that she wanted to do more was going fast and feeling the summer wind blowing through her hair as she skateboard through the neighborhood. She really couldn't ask for more than those two things after something like yesterday.

Katie did eventually did slow down when she took notice of something along the street she was on...

While she was riding along the street she was on, Katie halted herself on her board, right as she saw something at one of the houses that she was just passing. Exiting one of the houses were both Tim and Pinky. She didn't recognize either of them upon first glance, but after a couple seconds of staring at them, she quickly remembered that they were the two who had interrupted her and Chaz's hangout at the pizzeria two days ago. She was about to confront the two of them about that, until she saw the car in the driveway, recognizing that as Chaz's car when he went to their dinner night. The tomboy removed her headphones, before making her way over to the biker's house.

"So...this BeeBee girl you're friends with...you're telling me that she was the one who caused that disaster back in 'Love and Lunch' that night?" Tim asked the girl in blue.

Hearing the two having a conversation together, Katie just remained standing by the nearby fence, staying out of their sight. "Yes...that's true..." Pinky muttered while rolling her eyes. "Also, just to let you know, all of that was her fault and not mine, no matter what she says in an attempt to blame me for it. She's lucky that despite everything that happened that day, I'm not willing enough to leave her stranded there at the coffee shop."

"Right..." Tim approached the driver's seat door of his best friend's car, as Pinky went to the front seat on the other side. "Do you think she's still ever at that coffee shop? Don't you think that she would've just gone home?"

"I doubt it. If I know BeeBee well, I know that she'd probably be asleep until at least eleven in the morning." Pinky got into the car, as Tim soon did too. "I mean, that's usually the time that she always tells me that she wakes up around...so I can only imagine that today is going to be no different."

"Alright. If you say so, Pinky." The blue-haired man then started up his best friend's car. "Then we better hurry up and get there." After he said that, he backs out of the driveway, and began to make his way to the coffee shop that Pinky and BeeBee were at last night.

Katie remained standing there, watching Tim and Pinky make their way out of the neighborhood and into the DownTown area. She then glanced to her right, looking at Chaz's house. Now that she was becoming good friends with the biker, Katie was curious about where he lived in this neighborhood, in case she wanted to visit him. It seems like she didn't even need to call and ask him about that.

After hearing about what had happened between him and Summer last night, Katie was wondering how he was holding up in there. She hadn't called or texted him about it, mainly because she felt like Chaz either didn't want to talk about it, let alone even be reminded of it again. In case he was still depressed, Katie decided to go up to front door so that she can try to talk to him. Hopefully, Chaz will be in a good enough mood for her to try to talk to him about all of this.

Approaching the front door, the tomboy gave it a firm knock. She then took a few steps back, waiting for the biker to answer the door for her. After a couple seconds of waiting had passed, Chaz opened the door to see who was at his house right now. Much to his surprise, it was actually Katie.

"What the hell? Katie?" Chaz asked, both surprised, yet confused by the tomboy standing there at his front door. "I never told you where I lived before. How did you find my house?"

"I was..." Katie started off saying, before placing her hands in the pockets of her jeans while shrugging her shoulders. "...I was just in the neighborhood, and...well, I saw your buddy with the silly looking dog hat and your friend in the blue dress. I just had a hutch that this was your house."

"Oh..."

"Yeah...so...anyway...I was just...stopping by to see how you're doing after everything that had happened...are you okay, man?"

"Well...let me think...my girlfriend had cheated on me with some new guy, she dumped me right after confronted her about it, and the guy she is now currently with refuses to dump her after all that happened because he might as well as be an asshole too..." The biker then held up his hands in the air. "How the hell do you think I feel?! Of course I'm not okay! I'm anything except okay!" He then exited his house, walking over to one of the rails that were on his pouch. "Ever since I've met Summer back in 2014, I have been completely faithful to her as a friend, and when we started dating each other, I was still doing literally everything for her to prove how much I loved her. I took her on dates, I called her every day and night...and then she does something like this and claims I was a horrible boyfriend, apparently to her...I mean, the reasons that she told me are reasons why I was terrible are just...so totally petty, and we could've worked them out without arguing."

"Well, what are the reasons?"

"I got jealous all because I've suspected her and Travis to be secretly dating..." The biker then stopped for a second to now think about that. "...Days before we...actually dated..." He said, now finding that awkward.

"Yeah...that's kind of a good enough reason to dump you. I mean...it's still wrong that Summer cheated on you, but I can definitely see that as a good enough reason for a girl to not go out with you anymore."

"Yeah, but...first of all, you acting sarcastic about this isn't helping. Second, even then, it's not like I've bullied and teased Travis anymore afterwards. I apologized to him about that incident, days after we've graduated." The biker took a bit of a sigh, before walking over to one of the two lawn chairs on the porch to sit down in one of them. "Apparently to her, being friends with Crystal counts as a reason why she hates me."

"Listen...I'm going to be totally blunt about this, but Summer may have a point on that one." Katie said while sitting down in the other lawn chair. "I like Crystal, but to tell you the truth, she can be a little overboard with her hatred for Summer. Hell, I still remember the prank she pulled on her where she had placed that squirrel in her locker. I can safely admit, even as Crystal's best friend, that Summer is in the right on this one too."

"Still not helping one bit..."

"I'm just saying how it is, dude...and even then, despite Crystal's rivalry with her, it still doesn't make what Summer did any better." The tomboy then looks down to the ground below, taking a bit of a depressed sigh. "To be fair, dude...I feel a bit betrayed like you and Tim do...back at my house, I was beginning to give your ex-girlfriend the benefit of the doubt after everything that Crystal had said about her. But then I had to figure out about this...this just sucks all around, dude."

The two suddenly became silent after that. Neither of them really knew what to even say next, especially Katie. The tomboy wanted to say another thing in attempt to at least make Chaz feel a little bit better, but found herself unable to. She felt like anything else would probably make the biker even more angry or depressed...then again, with how she was trying to comfort him, she wasn't too sure if he was remotely feeling any better or not. Taking a bit of a sigh, Katie decided to say something in hopes of making Chaz a little bit happier.

"I...don't know if there were other problems Summer had with you, but if she does, then I feared your break- up with her might've been inevitable." She bluntly said, before reaching out to pat the biker on the back. "But don't be too down about this, Chaz...just because you and her broke up, it doesn't mean that your life is over. I'm sure once you're ready for it, you'll be able to find somebody new." The tomboy stood up from her lawn chair, before patting the biker on the shoulder. "Just remember, me, Crystal, and those two other friends of yours...are here for you. Just give one of us a call if you want to talk, okay?"

Chaz nodded his head, before taking a bit of a sigh. "Alright." Chaz said with a nod of the head. "Thanks for the talk, Katie."

"No problem." The tomboy pulled her skateboard out of her backpack again, before stepping off of her new friend's porch. "I wish I can stay some more, but I got to get going now. I'll see you one of these days, okay? See you later."

Chaz just silently sat there as he watched Katie hop onto her skateboard and rode over to the sidewalk. She turned left once she got there, continuing onward to who knows where in Simport. He just looked down at the porch below him, processing everything that Katie had told him throughout their entire conversation. Some of what she said felt rather blunt and harsh, he knew that most of what she told him was right.

'I swear...the next girlfriend I get, I'm going to be a better boyfriend. I don't want to make the same mistakes again.' Chaz said in his thoughts, feeling completely guilty about his relationship with Summer ending the way that it did.
