A few minutes later...

It took about twenty minutes for all three of Chaz's friends to arrive at his house. Tim and Crystal arrived at the house at the exact same time, while Katie, unsurprisingly, ended up being the last person to arrive. Nonetheless, everyone was finally at the house, and now it was time for them to enjoy their little hangout together.

At the moment, Chaz and Tim were outside hanging out around the pool, while Crystal was in the pool house that was in the biker's backyard and Katie was inside the biker's house. Chaz was sitting in one of his lawn chairs wearing a red swim-shorts, while Tim was sitting by the side of the pool wearing orange swim-shorts. They had a cooler open nearby next to the back door of the biker's house, just in case any of the four end up getting thirsty while they were out here. They even had the song 'Despacito' by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee playing on the radio that was placed on the patio table that Chaz was sitting on. Pretty much like Crystal had previously told her best friend, this used to be a typical summertime hangout with her friends before Chaz and Summer broke up.

While the two boys were sitting around silently to themselves, Tim couldn't help but stare at the paper that Pinky had handed to him before he arrived here. He had yet to have mentioned it to Chaz, let alone informed him that he had plans to hang out with the girl in blue instead of him tonight. He didn't even bother telling Crystal about it knowing that she wouldn't care about this at all, especially considering that she doesn't exactly like Pinky all that much. He just continued to stare at the paper in his hands, before Chaz finally spoke up, taking notice of his best friend's silence.

"Hey dude, what's that paper that you're looking at there?" Chaz asked his best friend.

Tim stood up from the ground, before walking over to his best friend. "This is just something that Pinky had given me when I was making my way over here." He said as he handed the paper over to the biker. "I wanted to invite her over here to hang out with us, but...she has work today. But tonight, she invited me over to her house so that we can hang out there." Tim then pointed at the paper. "That's the address to her house, by the way."

"I can see that." Chaz then hands the paper back over to his best friend. "So...what will you be doing over there?"

"Well, for the most part, all that me and her will be doing is just eating dinner and watching a movie together." Hearing this caused Chaz to grow a smirk on his face, to which Tim immediately noticed after he stopped talking. He then immediately became confused upon noticing his friend's smirk. "What?"

"Dude, I think it's quite obvious..." Chaz stood up from his chair, patting his best friend on the arm. "She totally wants you to be her boyfriend."

"What?!" The blue-haired man asked in disbelief.

"Dude, I'm just saying if she only invited you to her house for dinner and a movie, it's quite clear that she wants to date you."

"That's ridiculous..." Tim said while rolling his eyes. "Just because she invited me over to her house for dinner and a movie, that doesn't instantly mean that it's a date."

"It...kind of does."

Tim was about to object against what his best friend was telling him, before he heard the sound of the pool shed's door opening and closing behind him. Turning around, he saw Crystal exiting the shed wearing a purple strapless one-piece swimsuit and was holding a ring floatie in her hands. For the blue-haired man, he was lucky that the rebel girl was finally coming out right now. Hopefully, compared to his best friend, she wouldn't see what was going to be a date. Tim approached the rebel right as she threw the floatie she was carrying into the pool.

"Crystal!" Tim shouts as he walked over to her. "Listen...so, I was telling Chaz that later on tonight, I'm going to be heading off to Pinky's house so that I can have dinner with her, as well as watch a movie with her."

Crystal raises an eyebrow at what Tim was saying. "Really? Did she invite me or Chaz too?" She asked.

"No. She only invited me and that's it."

"Ah...I see...it's a date."

"Crystal, not you too..." Tim mutters, before holding up his hands in the air. "What in the world makes you two think that what I'm telling you is a date?"

"Well...she's only inviting you to her house, and you're eating dinner with her and watching a movie. That's what most couples do whenever they decide not to go out anywhere and just stay home."

Tim could only roll his eyes at everything that his two friends were telling him. He then went over to the edge of the pool that he was previously sitting at seconds ago, then sat down at it again. "Look, I don't know what else I can even say to you guys that will show you that this is not a date. I'm pretty sure that after tonight, me and Pinky are going to just remain friends."

Crystal rolled her eyes at Tim denying his feelings for Pinky once again. "Sure, keep telling yourself that, dude." She said with a scoff, causing the blue-haired man to glare at her with an annoyed expression on his face. "Anyways guys, I think I'll be right back. I'm going to see what's taking Katie so long inside. She told me that she had just arrived here a couple minutes ago."

It was at that moment, Katie finally decided to exit the house to join the rest of the group in the backyard. The tomboy was now wearing a regular black one-piece swimsuit along with her baseball cap. She also appeared to be carrying a bottle of suntan lotion and a book on dentistry, the latter of which actually annoyed Crystal upon seeing. Considering that this little hangout was nothing more but fun and relaxing, the least that she could've done was not bring something that had anything to do with work. Despite this though, Crystal decided to not bring it up and complain to Katie about it, not wanting her best friend to leave the hangout.

"Hey dudes, sorry I was a bit late to get here." Katie said as she made her way over to where her three other friends were. "I didn't have a bathing suit at home, so I had to go to the sports store at the mall and get one before coming here."

"It's totally fine, dude. You didn't really miss anything much." Chaz said as he stood up out of his lawn chair. "Well, now that you're here, feel free to do whatever you like. We're going to have lunch inside after we're done out here, so..."

"I know. Crystal told me back at my house when she invite me." The tomboy then turned her head towards the pool next to her, before looking behind herself for a second, then facing the three people in front of her again. "Well, I hate to break it to you, but I don't know how to swim, so...I think I'm just going to sunbathe over there." She then pointed behind herself at the beach-chairs that were by the left side of the backyard. "Is that cool with you, dude."

All Chaz could do in response was just shrug his shoulders with a smile. "That's fine, and to tell you the truth, Tim doesn't know how to swim either."

"Wow...thanks for bringing that up..." Tim mutters in a sarcastic tone of voice.

"Either way, just enjoy yourself while you're here." Chaz then pats her on the arm, before smiling. "I'm glad you could it here, Katie." The biker then walks off to collect himself a drink from the cooler nearby, as Katie smiled at him while he walked away.

"No problem." As the biker walked away from her, Crystal then walked up to her best friend. "Hey Crystal, what's up?"

Crystal points at the book that was in her best friend's hand. "That dentistry book that you're holding..." She said, before glaring at Katie with a disapproving look on her face. "...You couldn't have just left that home?"

"Hey, you know I bring this everywhere and anywhere I go." Katie said to her best friend, before raising an eyebrow at her. "Also, what did you expect when you invited me over here? My options in a gathering like this one are kind of limited here. You knew I couldn't swim."

"Well, the least you could've done was not do something focused on work or teeth." Crystal then turns around and sighed. "I don't have time to argue about this bullshit right now. If any of you guys need me, I'm going to be in the shed thinking about...something that I'm going to ask Chaz about later."

Tim could only just stand there and watch as Crystal heads over to the shed to enter it, now leaving him alone with the tomboyish dentist. He then faces forward at Katie, raising an eyebrow at her. "What she going to ask Chaz about later?" Tim asked her.

The only response that Katie could give him was just a shrug, not really feeling like going into detail about their conversation earlier today. "It's a long story, dude..." She simply told the blue-haired man.

"Oh...alright then."

It was at that moment, Tim fell completely silent. He glanced over to Chaz for a moment, seeing that he had just collected himself a can of soda from the cooler for himself. Remembering the conversation that he, along with him and Crystal, had moments prior, Tim decided that maybe he should get an opinion from Katie about his situation involving Pinky. Hopefully, the tomboy doesn't also assume that the girl in blue invited him on a date too.

"Hey, this is going to sound awkward of me to ask, but...do you mind if I ask you something?" Tim asked while scratching the back of his head.

Katie seemed a bit confused by this, but nodded her head anyway as she was curious with what question Tim had to ask her. "Sure, go right ahead, dude." She said as they began to make their way over to the beach-chairs.

"Alright...so...remember that girl who was with me back at Gino's Pizzeria when I first met you?" The dentist nodded her head at the blue-haired man's question. "Well...earlier today, she invited me to her house tonight, where we plan on eating dinner together and then watching a movie afterwards. Now...here's where things become...kind of crazy, because to Chaz and Crystal...since they weren't invited to her house, and only I was...those two automatically assume that this is a date." The two finally approached the chairs nearby, as Katie sat down. "Now...please tell me, is it date or not?"

Katie just gave the biker's best friend a weird look. "Um...just to be clear, that girl you were referring to...did she tell you that it was a date?"

"Well...no, she never said anything about dating when I encountered her this morning."

"Oh, okay then. So it's not a date, simple as that." Katie then laid down onto the beach-chair she was currently sitting on, before proceeding to talk about the blue-haired man's situation some more. "I'm pretty sure it's only a date unless she told you that it was. As for what your friends are making it out to be, I wouldn't listen to what they're telling you on all of this. From what you're telling me, I'm sure this is nothing more but a complete misunderstanding on their part."

Hearing all of this being said caused Tim to let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you." The man said with a smile. "To think that you would've agreed with Chaz and Crystal on this one."

"No problem."

Tim then glanced over to where Chaz was at, before pointing off towards his direction. "Anyways, I'm going to go talk to Chaz about something now. I'll talk to you later, Katie."

"Alright." Tim walks off to where his best friend was, allowing Katie to sunbathe by her lonesome now.
