Season 5 Episode 3:
(SG-1 returns to Abydos, but sense it is Conrad's first time, he is greeted with a strange welcome.).
Jack and Conrad were fishing once again. They sat on the chairs with the rods in hand. "I missed this when I was fighting the Ori." He said. Jack looked at him. "You never told us what happened." He remarked. Conrad sighed. "Nothing much, but to be honest, I prefer to forget.". Jack nods. "So, Sam moved in yet?" he asked. Conrad nods. "Yeah. Her stuff is in storage until we buy a house, we were only engaged for a month.". Jack then decided to go dirty. "How is she in bed?" he asked. Conrad laughs. "None ye business.". Jack's phone rang. "O'Neill, yes sir. On our way sir.". Jack got up. "We're going to Abydos.". Conrad got up. "Let's go.".
When they arrived at base, Sam was in her lab, facing away from the door. She felt to arms wrapping around her waist. Sam smiled. Conrad whispered. "Whatcha doing beautiful?" he asked. Sam then shivered lightly. "Just working.". Conrad let's her go which Sam didn't approve. By now the whole base knew. Which didn't bother them. Sam dropped the thing she was working on and grabs Conrad by the shirt. Kissing him. She closed the door with her foot. Conrad then got the idea. "Not in the lab." He begged. Sam smiles. "I wasn't planning on it.".
Conrad then stopped her after five minutes. "We're going to Abydos.". Sam then pulled back. "Again?" she asked. Conrad shrugs. "Never been there before.". Sam smiles. "Well then flyboy, grab your gear.". Conrad nods. "Yes ma'am.".
SG-1 was ready to roll. They walked up to the ramp and arrived in 5 seconds on Abydos. Once there, a man greeted them. Jack smiled. "O'Neill, it is good to see you." The man said. Jack replied. "Sure is Skaara.". Then an older man appears. Daniel greets him. "Good father.". The man replies. "Good son.". No one other then Kasuf. Kasuf greeted them all. Though he stopped at Conrad. "Who are you dear stranger?" he asked. Conrad held his hand out. "Captain Conrad Baird.". Kasuf then gasps for some reason. "You are the Cha'tahr? Come, come with me.".
He pulls Conrad through the corridors. He then stopped in front of a cage. Conrad took a look and was shocked. "Adria?!".
Sam followed in. "Conrad what's going on? Who's she?" she asked. Conrad spoke very carefully. "This is, Adria, the Ori who kidnaped me.". Adria stood up. "Conrad, it's been to long, I missed you.". Conrad steps back. "I really hoped to never see you again." He said. Adria then touched her chest. "Baby, I am hurt.". Sam then understood. "This the psycho chick?" she asked. Conrad nodded. "That's her.". Jack then arrived. "What's going on here? What, who is the girl?" he asked. Conrad then dragged his foot in the sand. "Remember when I said I would rather not talk about my time fighting the Ori?". Jack nodded. Conrad pointed to Adria. "That's why.". Adria then turned to Sam. "Are you the woman he kept thinking about?" she asked. Before Sam could answer, Conrad jumped in. "No, she is not." But he turned to her and winked. Adria rolled her eyes. "I could see you winking.". Conrad snapped. "Damn, using my left eye?". Adria giggled slightly.
Now Conrad just walked out. "If you would excuse me, I am going into the dessert and scream my lungs out.". Sam tried her best not to laugh. Before she could say something, they heard a loud yell. Adria turned to Sam. "I met another version of you. She was married to O'Neill.". Jack huffed. "Yeah don't remind us.". Teel'c approached them. "I believe Captain Baird has relieved himself from his anger." He assured.
Conrad was in the dessert looking at the sky. He was at the doorway from the pyramid. He sat the and breathed in the dessert air. "I hate this day already.". Skaara then approached him. "You then one called Baird?" he asked. Conrad nodded. "Yeah.". Skaara sat next to him. "I believe I was the host to your brother.". Conrad turned to Skaara. "I don't have a brother.". Skaara lifted his brow. "You are the son of Apophis, correct?". Conrad nods. "What I don't get, am I related to the host, or the snake.". Skaara then made a slight Hmmmm sound. "Good question.".
Conrad continued. "But if I have a Symbiote as a brother, I would question my sanity.". Skaara laughs. "I would too.". Conrad looks into the dessert. "Wasn't Daniel married to your sister?" he asked. Skaara nods. "She died, a long time ago.". Conrad nodded too. "I never knew my mother. My birth mother to be correct." He said. Skaara nods. "Adopted?" he asked.
Conrad nods. "Yeah, found out when I was five.". Skaara winced. "At that young age? I feel sorry for you.". Conrad chuckled. "I never asked why, because I always had a feeling there was a story behind the story.".
Sam then approached him and sat I front of him, he wrapped his arms around her. Skaara lifted a brow. "I always believed you and O'Neill would be together." He admitted. Sam chuckles. "I get that a lot.". Conrad just laughs. "Shit, I forgot about the other you being married to him. That was embarrassing.".
That night, Sam and Conrad were sleeping in each other's arms. Conrad was smiling while he had a dream. Him and Sam on a porch, sipping beer with new addition to the family, a son. Conrad turned to his wife in this dream.
But his smile dropped. Getting up he magically pulls a gun out. "Why are you in my head Adria?" he demanded. Sam then took form of Adria. Conrad woke up and didn't move. Sam was tucked in his grip. He held on, he won't let Adria ruin their relationship.
The next morning, Adria was restrained and the gate was active. Conrad was holding his P90 near his touch, he wants this over with. Adria looks at him. "I am not gonna hurt you." She promised. Conrad kept his gaze. "That's what you said when kept me prisoner!" he reminded her. They walked through and when they arrived, the had a nasty surprise. A different SG-1, then one Conrad recognized. "Mitchell?" he asked. Camron saluted lightly. "Hey.". Conrad then saw Teel'c with hair. "I still gotta get used to that.".
The other Sam greeted him with a hug. Conrad was a little unsure. His Sam just kept her laugh in for it was funny the way he reacted.
After a second he hugged her back. Vala was last to speak. "Hello muscles, been a while.". Conrad then covered his face with his hand. "I hate that nickname.". Jack then registered what was said. "Muscles?" he asked. Conrad sighed. "Don't ask.". Sam then felt a little jealous.
Hammond then came to them. "So you met them?" he asked Conrad. Conrad nods. "Long story.". Hammond just kept quiet. "My office. Captain." He lightly orders. Conrad obeyed and went to the office.
Hammond was obviously not happy. "What the hell is going on here?" he asked. Conrad shrugged. "I don't know, I try to figure it out. Adria is here for me, let me talk to her, I can get her to leave.". Hammond sighs. "You have a go.". Conrad salutes and goes to the holding cell. Adria seemed to be waiting for him.
"I knew you were coming." She said. Conrad huffs. "You read my mind, again. That's really disturbing.". Adria smiles. "So, this is your world?" she asked. Conrad crossed his arms. "Yes, and if you think on getting people to believe in origin, you are mistaken.". Adria just looked at him. "That's not what I am here." She said. Conrad then moved a little. "You're not?".
Adria nods. "I came for other reasons.". Conrad then understood. "Oh, no. I am not going anywhere with you.". Adria chuckles. "I am not taking you, I am staying here.". Now, he was quiet. "WHAT?" was all he said. She continued. "I want you to get me to stay." She said.
Hammond was after a few minutes of talking very mad. "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" he said. Conrad laughed in relief. "Thank you!". Hammond kept his tone. "She refuses to leave?" he asked. Conrad nods at this. "Yes sir. She wants to stay with me. I told her no.". Hammond then called in another group. "Prepare the prisoner for transport. Mitchell will over see this, you sit this out." He ordered. Conrad answered. "Understood.".
Adria was now being taken to the gate. She didn't understand. But when they arrived at the gate. She saw she wasn't staying on Earth. She then used her powers to break loose and made a run for the elevator. Conrad was watching over the cameras. "Lock the elevators down! Mobilize her movement." He ordered. She made it to the stairs. "What's on the next level?" he asked. He checked and got a cold sweat. "Sam's lab." He said. He grabbed a Zat and 9 mil and ran for the stairs. He climbed like the hole set. He heard a rustle and kicked Sam's lab door opened and pointed the 9 mil ahead. Adria had a knife against Sam's throat. And Sam was pinned to the wall.
"ADRIA!" Conrad yelled. Adria didn't look at him. "It's her, she's the one. Once she is gone, we can be together." She said. Conrad felt a lump in his throat. Sam then understood. "You're in love with him?" she asked. Conrad answered before Adria could. "No, I am her best chance at winning the war." He said. Adria started shedding tears. "No, it's not that. I just want happiness." She said. Conrad then placed his gun down. "Okay, my weapon is put away. Listen, I am not right for you. I am like, years older then you. Plus, you will live forever. I will die at the end." He said. Adria still didn't look at him. "I can teach you ascension." She offered. Conrad then snapped. "It won't help! This, this figure of mine, I will only have it for a few years. My body will age, and I will die.". Adria then said. "I can fix that. You just need some of my DNA.". Conrad then asked: "How am I supposed to get it?" he asked.
Adria then kept quiet. Conrad formed a frown. "Oh, oh no. I can't do that to you." He said. Adria shrugged. "It will be fun." She said. Conrad shook his head. "No it won't! I am ENGAGED!" he yelled. Adria then dropped the knife. She collapsed on the floor. "What have I done?" she asked herself. Conrad then kicked the knife to Sam and hugged Adria. "It's okay, it's okay, you didn't know. You didn't know.".
The gate activated and Adria was standing next to her mother. "Do you think your world will except me mother?" she asked. Vala nodded. "I think so, just, don't call me mother in public, it will look weird. Call me, Vala then.". Adria didn't understand. The two Sam's were talking. "Engaged, congratulations." Said the one Sam. Sam just smiled. "I know, let's hope it works out this time.".
Mitchell and Jack were talking. "So you still lead SG-1?" he asked to Jack. Jack replies. "Yeah, General didn't sound like my thing.". Daniel was speaking with his other self. Teel'c was speaking with his double. Conrad was getting medical attention for some reason. But he looked at Sam. "I am a lucky man." He said. Janet nods. "You sure are. Well looks like you weren't exposed to anything." She said.
Conrad looks at her. "That's why you jabbed me with needles?" he asked. Adria then stood before him. "I am sorry, I was wrong.". Conrad chuckled at her words. "Hey, love hurts, but, everyone gets someone, even the unlucky once.". Adria then kissed his cheek and walked with the others through the gate.
Conrad was just standing there. "Sam's gonna kill me." He though to himself.
