Later that night...
It was already time for Tim to head off to Pinky's house...
So far, for both Chaz and Tim, this day hasn't been all that good for either one of them. The get-together at their house wasn't even as fun and relaxing as they were hoping that it was. They even had to end their hangout moments after Crystal had stormed out of the house in an angry fit. All in all, pretty much none of the four had left the hangout with a smile. Hopefully, tonight was going to be a lot better for both of them, with Chaz going off to enjoy a night at Club Candy and Tim heading off to Pinky's house to have dinner with her.
Outside of Tim's house, Chaz just sat there in his car waiting for his best friend to get ready for his night with Pinky. During his wait, he just sat there in the driver's seat with his phone set aside next to him. He was debating calling or texting Katie about everything that had happened earlier today, but felt like now wasn't a good idea. Not only did he assume that she was still probably angry with him, but since Katie and her father would be having dinner around this time, he doubts that right now is even a good time to attempt an apology to her. So, for right now, he decided to wait until midnight to give Katie a call, just like the last time he called her.
Aside from Katie, Chaz also attempted to give Crystal a call too. He also remembered that the rebel girl had left his house in an angry fit after slipping and falling into his pool earlier today. Considering that incident happened about seven or eight hours ago already, Chaz felt like now was a good enough time to call her to see if she was okay. Unfortunately, when he attempted to call her, she didn't answer. He even tried to text her after that, but she still wasn't responding to him. So, it seems like she's still angry with him after being humiliated at his house by accident. Sighing in defeat, Chaz places his phone away and just decided to continue waiting for his best friend to come out of his house.
Eventually, Tim finally came out of his house. Instead of his causal outfit, the man was now wearing an orange buttoned-down dress shirt with black dress-pants and black dress-shoes. He didn't have his usual dog hat on his head like he normally does, and his blue hair appeared to be a lot more combed than it usually was. He hadn't worn this outfit in about two years, with the last time being the time that he went to Senior prom in high school. To him, he guess he was lucky enough to still have kept this outfit for an occasion like this one.
Without letting another minute pass him by, Tim went over to his best friend's car, entering the vehicle once he approached it. "There you are, Tim." Chaz said as he immediately took notice of his best friend now next to him. "Nice outfit, by the way."
Tim smiled at the compliment that the biker had given him. "Thanks man. I appreciate it." The blue-haired man said with a smile.
"I thought you said that this wasn't a date though. All you're going to be doing over there is have dinner and watch a movie with her. Why dress so formally?"
"Well...I know that I could just go over there in what I usually wear, but keep in mind, Pinky graduated from Simport Prep, not the Royal Academy. So...I felt like maybe I should dress a little more nicer rather than...well, a dog hat and overalls. So, I decided that I should wear this one instead."
"Alright then." Chaz then started up his car, before his best friend pulled the piece of paper with the address Pinky gave him out of his shirt pocket.
"Hold on, Chaz. Don't you want the address that she gave me?"
"No, I already know where her house is. Besides, the day that we met her, she asked us to drop her off at her house when we were leaving the mall."
"Really?" Tim then looks down at the small piece of paper that he was still holding, a bit confused about something. "Then why did she give me the address to her house if you already know where she lives?"
"She probably thought you forgot, so she gave you her it just in case you did. It had been days since either you or me dropped her off at her house anyway." The biker then grabbed a hold of the steering wheel in front of him, before letting out a bit of a scoff. "Although, knowing that she lives in the only house on her street that's painted blue, I doubt it would've been too hard to even find her house."
"I guess..." Tim then places the paper back into his pocket, before pointing forward at the street ahead of them. "Anyways, we should probably get going now. Pinky's probably wondering where I am."
"Alright." After that was said, Chaz began to drive his way to the street where Pinky's house was on.
After a few minutes of driving, the two men finally arrived at Pinky's house...
Once the two were parked, Tim got out of his best friend's car, then turned around to wave 'goodbye' to his best friend before heading up to the house. Chaz smiled back at his best friend before proceeding to drive off so that he can spend some time over at Club Candy. Afterwards, Tim finally turned around and began to make his way over to the front door of the blue house that stood right before him.
Approaching the front door of the house, Tim decided to take a bit of a look at everything that was on the front porch for a few seconds. Literately, like the house itself, everything that he could see around him on the porch was blue. The lawn chairs were blue, mailbox on the wall beside it was blue, even the flowers that were in the bushes were blue. The only things that wasn't blue that he had seen so far is the front door, which was the color white instead. Tim wouldn't be surprised if Pinky has even more things that were the color blue inside her house.
After looking at everything on the porch, Tim finally decided to knock on the door to alert Pinky that he was here. He took a step back as the girl answered the door within seconds. The moment that Pinky saw the blue-haired man standing there outside on her porch, she smiled at him.
"Tim! You're finally here!" Pinky nearly shouts in excitement. "You're just in time too, I was just ready to cook our dinner for us right now."
"Alright." Tim said with a smile, before pointing at himself. "Do you want me to help you out?"
"Sure, of course you can help." Pinky then steps backwards away from the door, before pointing behind herself. "Please, follow me to the kitchen."
"Okay then." Pinky proceeded to head off to where her kitchen is, as Tim followed her into her house.
Walking inside Pinky's house, Tim looked around for a bit and was immediately surprised at how neat her house actually looked. Almost every piece of furniture in her house was blue...which wasn't much of a surprise...but he was still quite amazed by how nice and neat everything is, compared to his house. The living room had your typical couch, coffee table, and lamps...but there was a flat-screen TV and a record player too. This was literately the first room in Pinky's house that Tim was been in, and so far, he was quite awestruck by everything that he was seeing so far.
"Tim, are you coming in here or what?!" Pinky shouts from the kitchen.
Tim immediately snapped out of his thoughts after he heard Pinky shout that. He was so distracted by his surroundings that he had completely forgotten that he offered the girl in blue to help her cook dinner for themselves. Rubbing the side of his head a bit, Tim glanced over to the walkway that leads into the kitchen, seeing Pinky poking her head out from behind the wall, staring at him with a look of confusion. He chuckled nervously, before proceeding to head into the next room to help cook with his friend.
Right as he entered the kitchen, Pinky began to collect some of the items that they need to cook themselves their dinner, while Tim just...remained standing there confused. The more he thought about it, he realized that he doesn't actually know what food that Pinky had planned for them to have tonight. She didn't actually mention anything about that when they stumbled upon each other earlier this morning.
"Um...what exactly did you have in mind for dinner tonight exactly?" Tim asked his new friend, who was still looking through the refrigerator for some food.
"Well, I was thinking that the both of us could have some baked potatoes with a side of carrots." She then glanced over her own shoulder to look at the blue-haired man still standing behind him. "I probably should've mentioned this earlier, and I'm sorry that I haven't. Either way, are you okay with this for dinner, Tim?"
"Yeah, I don't see why not."
Tim then walked over to the side of the counter that was right next to the refrigerator. Once there, Pinky pulls out a few potatoes, then handed them over to the blue-haired man to her right. She then reaches into the refrigerator once again, taking out a small bundle of carrots that she had been keeping in there too, then proceeded to look through the cabinets to find her colander in order to wash the vegetables that they had collected. Once she found it, both her and Tim brought all of the items over to the kitchen sink.
"You know, it's not everyday that somebody I invite over to my house actually helps me cook dinner for them." Pinky told the blue-haired man. "Usually, whenever it's one of my friends from Simport Prep, they would always never help me out with cooking whatsoever. Heck, whenever I'm cooking dinner for me and BeeBee, she would always be too busy with talking with her boyfriend on the phone...or playing with one of her pet rabbits...or both, and just completely ignore me whenever I ask her to help me out." She then turns the sink's faucet on, before turning her head towards Tim who was just standing right next to her. "I'm actually glad that one of my friends is willing to lend me a helping hand whenever I need one."
Tim chuckles a bit, before waving a hand at her. "Hey, I'm willing to help any of my friends." He said through restrained laughter.
"Oh...that's what I like about you, Tim. You're so kind, and so generous to help too." Pinky then pats the blue-haired man on his shoulder, before leaning on the counter behind her. "It's rare that I even know a person who is such a gentleman like you. Sometimes, I question how you and I never met each other until...well, days ago."
"Well...we did go to two different schools back then, and both of them are in two different sections of the entire town." Tim then shrugged his shoulders, before smiling at her once again. "But hey...look on the bright side here, Pinky...at least we met each other now rather than never, am I right?"
"Yeah. You're totally right." Pinky then crosses her arms, before chuckling a bit once again. "So...I guess I'm just asking because I've been curious about it for awhile...how was the Royal Academy when you were a student there?"
"Oh...well...there's nothing really special about it." Tim explains to her as he went over to lean on the counter to her left. "I mean, me and Chaz had some good times and some bad times throughout our high school years there. We loved the field trips, we loved the school dances, we met Summer while we were there..." Mentioning that caused him to cringe, remembering what had happened earlier this week. He closed his eyes and shook his head, not wanting to remember the breakup his best friend went through. "...We also met Crystal while we were there too. Those are really the only good things I can really remember about me and Chaz's time there."
"I see..."
"For the most part, the only thing that I can really say that was bad was that Chaz used to be a bully throughout his time during high school, mostly because his parents had...unfortunately divorced when he was in the ninth grade..." Tim gives the girl a sad smile, before continuing to talk. "He pretty much stopped bullying for the better ever since we graduated, but...a few students still hate our guts..." He then frowned, lowering his head to look at the floor. "A girl named Liberty still hates him...I don't think Ian or Amelia forgave him yet...I know James and Jenny definitely still hates him..."
"Ouch...I'm sorry to hear..." She then rubs the back of her neck, before giving him a reassuring smile. "But hey, at least he no longer bullies others...right?"
"Yeah...at least..." Tim lets out a depressed sigh, before turning his head towards his new friend. "Um...how about you? How was Simport Prep when you went there?"
"Just like you, I had good times and bad times. Like you, I went on some of the field trips and I enjoyed some of the school formals at times. I also met BeeBee and her boyfriend Preston there when we were all in the tenth grade together." She then frowned. "However...I never exactly had a crush on anyone there. I never even had a boyfriend before either. Heck, I never even went to my Senior Prom since I was one of the only students there who didn't have a boyfriend..." She then scoffs a bit, as a smirk formed on her face. "Although...I guess that's a good thing, since BeeBee ended up bringing one of her pet rabbits to the prom with her, and let's just say that Preston left there covered in fruit punch."
"That's interesting to hear." Tim said, almost chuckling at that being said.
"Yeah...but, other than that, nothing really special to say about my school."
It was at that moment, Pinky started to feel something weird on her hands. She didn't know what it was at first, but all she knew was that it felt wet and it felt like it was all over her counter. It almost felt exactly like...water.
Taking the idea that she was feeling water in her hand in account, she immediately looked towards the counter, quickly realizing what was going on. Her sink was beginning to overfill with water. Some of the water was literately coming out of the sink and dripping onto the floor in front of it. Both the carrots and potatoes were floating in the water inside of the sink. It would seem like they have placed the colander on top of where the drain was by accident.
"Oh my!" Pinky nearly shouts, immediately grabbing a hold of the faucet handle.
Pinky quickly turns the water off and reaches into her flooded sink in order to grab the colander. She pulled the colander out of the water, taking the floating potatoes and carrots in the process. Afterwards, all of the water that was still inside the sink began to quickly go down the drain.
"That was close..." Pinky muttered, as she placed the colander and vegetables aside. "Hey Tim, could you hand me the paper towels over there, please?"
"Yeah...sure..." Tim said as he went to the other end of the counter to grab the roll of paper towels that were there. He took the roll, then brought them over to hand it over to Pinky. "Here you go."
"Thanks."
Pinky then proceeded to wipe down everything that was wet from the incident. Tim felt just as responsible for what had almost happened while they were distracted talking to each other, so he decided to help her out with wiping off the parts of the counter that was wet. He took some of the paper towels and began wiping down the sides of the counters that were wet.
After the top part of the counter was dried off, both of them had the same idea to clean off the floor. They then tried to grab a hold of the paper towels, only for both of them to end at grabbing the roll at the same exact time, and even more so, accidentally touched each other's hand in the process. Both of them quickly realized this, then turned their heads towards each other. They both blushed the moment that they made eye contact.
"Oh...sorry, I was just..." Tim said as he backed his hand away from the paper towel roll.
Pinky softly lets out a bit of a chuckle, before taking some paper towels and wiping the floor. She then threw the papers away before standing up from the floor, helping Tim back onto his feet in the process. "I think we should just continue on with cooking dinner." The girl said, still visibly blushing. "Do you know how to cook baked potatoes?"
Tim nodded his head. "Yeah. I cooked them before during cooking class once."
"Great." After that was said, both of them proceeded to continue cooking their food.
