Meanwhile...
Back with Chaz...
It was an hour before midnight and the party still continued on with no sign of stopping anytime soon. The song 'I Gotta Feeling' by the Black Eyed Peas was heard throughout the entirety of the club. Everybody who had came here were still enjoying themselves on the dance-floor, waving glow-sticks in the air as they dance, while some were standing around and either drinking or hanging out with their friends. Seeing this sight in her club puts a smile on Candy's face every single time she looks at it.
Speaking of Candy, the tomboy had searched everywhere in the club for Sapphire, but was unable to find her. She wasn't around the dance-floor as she expecting, nor was she at either the kitchen that was behind the snack-bar or the restrooms. She was a bit confused, until she realized that she hadn't checked the break-room upstairs yet. She checked pretty much everywhere in the downstairs area of the building, and the break-room was the only room that was actually upstairs. Seeing no other area that Sapphire could be at, Candy decided to investigate the break-room.
Upon entering, Candy glanced around the area for her girlfriend. She pretty much saw the usual sights that she'd normally see whenever she was up here. Just the same old vending machine to the left of the area, along with the ping-pong table in the middle. She then glanced over to the right seeing the arcade machine that was in the corner, along with a flat-screen TV along with a PlayStation 4 underneath it and two bean-bag chairs that were in front of said TV...in one of the chairs was actually Sapphire, appearing to be doing something on her phone, most likely texting somebody. The tomboy just gave the party girl a smirk, deciding to go up to talk with her.
Candy walked over to the side of the bean-bag chair that Sapphire was sitting at, then sat down beside her. After waiting about a minute or two, the blonde tomboy leans in and kisses her girlfriend on the cheek, catching her by surprise in the process. Sapphire giggled after she took notice of her girlfriend's kiss, then places her phone back into her pocket so that she can talk with her. She kisses the blonde tomboy on the cheek, before finally saying something to her.
"Hey sweetie." Sapphire said as she smiled at her girlfriend. "What are you doing up here?"
"I was about to ask you the same exact question." Candy said as she moved her way over to the other bean-bag chair. "What are you doing up here? I've been looking for you everywhere downstairs."
"I was just seeing if James has texted me lately today or not. That's all."
"You're still helping that dork out with his love problems?"
"Yes, I totally am. Ever since I discovered that he's been too shy to confess his love to Jenny, I've been wanting to help him get together with her." Sapphire then turned her head to the right, looking at her girlfriend with a puzzled look on her face. "By the way...are we like, totally free to go on a date somewhere Saturday night?"
Candy shrugged her shoulders to her girlfriend's question. "Well...Zack's going to be busy at his uncle's house that day, and it has been awhile since me and you had any weekend dates, so...yeah, I'm totally down for having a date that day..." Sapphire smiled to what her girlfriend has said. "Why do you ask?"
Sapphire remained silent for a few seconds, just continuing to smile. "Oh...I was just asking..."
"Oh, let me guess..." The tomboy raises an eyebrow, before proceeding to continue talking. "...You want to go to wherever you want James and Jenny to finally confess their love for each other at for our date?"
"Well...yeah...I kind of do." Sapphire then scoots her chair a little bit closer to her girlfriend's chair, before leaning closer to give her a kiss on the cheek once again. "But even if that's the case, it would totally be nice that we go somewhere romantic together rather than this club. Believe me, I like, totally picked the best place for those two to finally confess their feelings for each other."
Candy stared at her girlfriend for a few seconds, before a smiled formed on her face as she chuckled. "Okay, babe...I guess I'm going to have to take your word for it on this one."
"Oh trust me, Candy..." The party girl then points at herself. "I pretty much know every single place in Simport that's the most romantic to take someone on a date to."
Candy chuckled to herself once again. "That's probably one of the reasons why I'm lucky to be dating somebody like you."
"Like, totally."
It was at this moment, Candy decided to turn her head towards the window that was on the wall to her left. It was long window that went from one end of the room to the other, and instead of the outside area of the club building...it just shows the dance-floor area from above. Candy really only uses the window to see if everybody who came to the club are enjoying the party or not, while other times, she uses it to see if Zack or Sapphire were on break or not. She wondered how everybody was doing downstairs, so she stood up from her chair and headed over to the window to check outside of it.
Walking over to the window, Candy glanced out of it, looking at everything down below to see everybody on the dance-floor. Everybody here still seems to be enjoying this party so far. She glanced over to where the snack bar was, still seeing Chaz and Crystal sitting there talking to each other. The rebel ended up leaving the biker to head off to go to the bathroom, as the biker just sat there looking rather depressed once again.
"Things have been hard on that guy ever since Summer cheated on him." Candy said as her girlfriend walked up beside her. "Do you think that he needs a talk, dude? I hate seeing him like this."
Sapphire gave her girlfriend a smile and a nod before turning to face the door nearby. "I believe that I could be able to comfort him about his situation." She said. "I'll be right back then, sweetie."
"Alright." After their conversation had ended there, Sapphire headed downstairs leaving Candy to be alone up in the break-room now.
Downstairs...
Sapphire made her way over to the snack bar where Chaz was sitting at. She then sat down in one of the stools that weren't taken next to him. Unfortunately, when she sat down beside him, he didn't seem to bat an eye at her, he just simply ignored her. Sapphire was kind of expecting this though, considering that Candy was the one who interacted with the biker a lot more than she did. Regardless, the party girl decided to finally get his attention.
"Hey!" Sapphire said, causing the biker to turn his head towards her. Now she's got his attention. "Me and Candy were just looking at you sitting over here, and...well, I am like, totally the first girl that anyone goes to whenever they have romance troubles..."
"You point is?" Chaz asked the party girl sounding very uninterested with where this was even going.
"Me and Candy just saw you were still depressed, so...I felt like I should come over here to try to help you." Sapphire leans back onto the counter, before pulling a can of her favorite energy drink that she usually carries in her jacket. "Are you still bummed out about Summer cheating on you?"
"Oh, thanks for bringing THAT up to me again..." Chaz muttered in an irritated tone of voice. "But...yes, and also...no, that's not entirely why I'm depressed right now." He took a sip of the new bottle of beer that he had received moments ago, before continuing to explain to Sapphire about how he was feeling right now. "I mean...for awhile now, I kept believing that Crystal would be the next girl that I would end up with after Summer left me, but...I don't know, I'm just not really into her relationship-wise...I really only see her as just as friend and that's it." Shaking his head, he decided to bring up another reason why he wouldn't really want to date the rebel girl. "Not to mention, there's still the fact that she was one of the major reasons why Summer dumped me in the first place...I like Crystal, but she still caused my break-up in the first place..."
"Well...you did hang out with the girl Summer like, totally hates. You can't like, completely blame Crystal for that part."
Chaz was about to say something to go against what Sapphire had just said, but couldn't. He knew that she was right. Despite knowing that Summer hated her, he still thought that Crystal was cool and allowed her to hang out with them. Looking at that part of the situation now, he couldn't help but now see that he had a lot more blame there than Crystal.
"Is there any other girl that you're interested in dating?" Sapphire asked him.
"I don't really know, Saph...every girl who I've met throughout my entire time at Royal Academy ends up either with someone or ends up hating me."
"Now that can't be true..."
"I already said my piece on Crystal and Summer...Liberty hates me and is now engaged to Travis...Jenny hates me...Victoria hates me...Amelia hates me...I could've dated Candy back when I first met her years back, but then she later discovered that she was a lesbian...and then there's Violet, and she's already dating somebody." Chaz then taps the side of his drink. "The only girl that's really left in my life is...Katie."
"Katie? You mean that girl who works at the dentist?"
"Yeah...how'd you know?"
"Just a hutch." The party girl gave the man a smile, before questioning him further about his feelings for the tomboyish dentist. "Do you...like her?"
Chaz smirked lightly, before nodding his head. "Yeah, she's pretty cool. I'm surprised that I've never met her back then." He took another sip of his drink, before continuing to talk about his new friend. "I wish I did though...because ever since me and Tim met her, she has been just so...I don't know, there's something about her that I like, and yet I can't explain it."
Sapphire chuckles, before poking the man in his shoulder. "I had a hutch about that too..." The biker seemed confused by what she meant by that, before she decided to bluntly say it out loud to him. "...You're in love with her."
"What the?" Chaz blushes, before leaning forward on the counter. "I-I wouldn't go THAT far when it comes to me and her...she's cool and all...and she likes a lot of the same stuff that I do...and she's...kind of cute when she's angry..." He then turns his head towards the party girl, seeing the smirk on her face causing him to blush even more at the sight of it. Placing a hand on his forehead, Chaz lets out an annoyed groan before finally confessing his feelings about his friend. "Fine...you caught me! I'm in love with Katie Morris! Are you happy now, Sapphire?!"
"Very!"
"But even then...a relationship between us, it's impossible...it'll never happen..."
"Oh I like, totally doubt it."
"Well...we only met a week ago, she's still probably pissed at me for teasing Tim earlier this morning, and I doubt her father would even approve of us dating. So there's three things to worry about."
Sapphire cringed hearing those three examples. The first thing said, to her, seemed pretty petty...however, the same can't be said for the other two. However, she didn't seem all too worried about it, as she had heard situations like these before. She wasn't too sure what had happened earlier this morning, let alone knew what Chaz was teasing Tim about in the first place, but whatever the case may be, she felt like an apology to Katie was warranted. As for the tomboy's father not approving, she had an idea already. Chaz might see it as a horrible idea, but she told the same advice to another and it worked out perfectly.
"I believe the first two you said could be resolved easily...but I'll give you some advice on the third example that you said." Sapphire said. Chaz raises an eyebrow feeling unsure about what idea the party girl has in mind, but that was when she continued to explain her idea. "One of these days, you should probably just introduce yourself to Katie's father."
"So...go up to Katie's house, knock on her door, and when her father sees me standing outside his house..." Chaz paused for a second to frown at this idea, believing that he knows exactly how all of this is going to end. "...Then get the door slammed in my face?"
"That's...not the point I'm trying to get across here..."
"That being your point or not, this is a bad idea all around. Katie's father isn't the kind of father who'd let their daughter date a bad boy."
"Hmm...you know, I totally have to like, stay to the advice that I like, just gave you. It worked out totally well for somebody when I told them that, and I bet it would totally work between you and Dr. Morris. Trust me."
"I still don't know about this, Sapphire..."
"Just trust me. Just stop by the Morris's house later on in the week and try to talk to Katie's father about your friendship with his daughter. It'll work."
Chaz just stared at the bottle that was in his hand for a second, still unsure whether or not to actually go ahead with Sapphire's idea or not. He still thought all of this is a completely horrible idea. Heck, he already knew that Katie was also going to think that this is a horrible idea too. But at the same time, he knew that Sapphire's advice on romance, as ridiculous as he might see it, tends to always work. It's pretty much a leap of faith of him to be trusting Sapphire on this either way.
With a sigh, he finally said something to the party girl in regards to her advice. "Well...I'll have to see what Katie has to say about it..." He said, before standing up from his stool. "Thanks for the talk, Sapphire."
"No problem, but..." Sapphire pauses for a second, seeing Chaz throwing out his drink. "...Are you heading home now?"
"Yeah...I think I had enough partying for one night..." Chaz then looks over to where the bathrooms were seeing Crystal was finally exiting them. "But first, I think I need to inform Crystal about everything that we talked about."
"Okay." Sapphire just remained sitting where she was, while Chaz headed off to go talk to Crystal.
Chaz headed over to where his friend was, ready to finally tell her about his supposed feelings for Katie. Right as he was about to tell her about them, the rebel held a hand preventing him from saying anything to her. Instead, she decided to say something to him. What she ended up telling him was exactly what he was expecting her to say when she returned to him.
"Alright...look, I know today's been...awful for both of us, but that doesn't mean that it has to end awful, because I have a way that could make up for all of it." Crystal took a pause so that she can smile at the biker in front of him. She places a hand on his shoulder, before taking another step closer so that she can finally tell him what she's been meaning to tell him all day. "You see...throughout the entire day, I've been trying to tell you something, but...things just kept getting in the way, and...I felt like right now, is a better time than ever, to tell you that..."
"...You want to date me." Chaz said, interrupting the rebel girl before she could even finish her sentence. Crystal just stared at him in surprise, as he backed away from her so that he can continue talking. "I've been thinking about it for awhile too. You and I have been friends for a long time, and you like a lot of the things that I do, and...as always...you're a very cool girl to me. But...I've been thinking about it some more, and..." He took a bit of a pause, rubbing a hand through his hair as he sighed. "...I'm sorry, Crystal...I just don't think it will actually work out between the both of us..."
"Wait, what?!" Crystal was now angry that she was being rejected by her own crush, one of her best friends even. "Why the hell not?!"
"Look...it's just complicated to explain, alright?" Chaz backed away, before letting out one more sigh. "I'm just...sorry." The biker finally turned around and headed off to the club's exit, as his friend tried to reach a hand out to him as he walked away from her.
As she just watched her own crush walk away from her, Crystal just stood there feeling dumbfounded at what had just happened. Everything just happened so fast to her. She couldn't believe that she was just rejected by her own crush. Nothing but shock, despair, and anger grew inside the rebel girl's mind...finding it unbelievable that all of the stress of waiting to tell Chaz her feelings, the disaster at the hangout earlier this morning, and then coming all the way out here to finally tell him was all for nothing. Tears flooded the rebel's eyes as she angrily went off to exit the club through the back-door.
It was at this moment, after Crystal had stormed out of the club, that Candy finally came back downstairs to see what had happened. But when she entered the dance-floor area, she ended up witnessing the rebel running passed her in tears. Shocked, Candy turned her head towards Sapphire, who appeared to be nodding her head to the entire conversation that had just happened, as if she was expecting that that was going to happen.
"Should I even ask what had happened?" Candy asked, still rather confused by what's going on.
"Let's just say that I finally was able to open that man's eyes about who he's truly in love with." Sapphire answered before taking a sip of her drink.
