Meanwhile...

For Ray and Victoria, that hangout seemed to have been a bust. Both of them were expecting a very good day at the carnival and nothing more, but instead they got a fight between them and the biggest bully in this town. Victoria was especially shocked by everything that had happened right before her moments ago. She had never seen Ray in a fight before, nor did she ever had the intention of wanting to see or hear him being in one. The fact that she had to witness the injuries he had received during the fight didn't help either. This entire ordeal was beginning to become intolerable all around for her.

After their trip to the carnival, the two headed their way to Ray's house. They could've went off to the Louiston residence instead, however, just by walking on foot alone, that location was too far away for the both of them to get to. Not to mention, Victoria doubts that Ray would even want to walk that far considering his injuries. So, with all of that in mind, the two decided that the goth's house was the better option in this situation.

Upon entering the house, the two immediately made their way over to the dining room area. Ray sat down at his dining room table, while Victoria searched through the cabinets around the kitchen in order to find the first-aid-kit. She was told by her friend that it should be in one of the cabinets, specifically one of the bottom ones. Eventually, she ended up finding it in the cabinet under the sink.

After Victoria found the first-aid-kit, she brought it over to the dining room and placed it down onto the table. She opened it up and pulled out the roll of bandages that was inside it. Once she pulled them out, she turned towards Ray who was now currently taking off his jacket, revealing the many bruises that were on his arms and hands. Seeing this caused Victoria to cringe in horror at the sight of it. To think that the bruises on his face were bad, it seemed like his arms and hands got it a lot worse.

"My word, Ray..." Victoria said, choking out her words as she spoke while her eyes were getting misty. "This is just...dreadful...horribly dreadful..."

"I'm sorry that you had to witness that, Victoria." Ray said as he held his left arm out towards his friend. The British girl started to roll the bandages around his arm as he continued to talk. "That prick deserved it for what he did to you though. If he stole from me...then whatever...but if he steals from one of my closest friends, then knocks them down onto the ground...that's where I cross the line."

"I understand that, and I appreciate you standing up for me back there when Derek was taunting me, but..." Victoria stared at the multiple bruises that were all over her crush's arms, still horrified by the outcome of what happened. "Damn it, Ray...that brute was a lot more stronger than you. Derek could've had you sent to the hospital if that fight continued any further...or worse..."

Ray stared at Victoria's eyes, seeing a tear rolling down her face. He uses the arm that wasn't being wrapped in bandages to wipe the eye from her face. "Hey, no need for you to cry. I'm okay...and honestly, I really should be thanking you right now."

"Thanking me? For what?"

"For trying to intervene before the fight got any worse." The goth began to frown, visibly guilty about something else that had happened back there during the fight. "I...guess I also should've asked this moments ago when it happened, but...Derek didn't hurt you, did he? You fell to the ground pretty roughly when he threw you off of his arm."

"There's really no need for you to worry about that, Ray. He didn't hurt me." Victoria finished up wrapping the bandages around Ray's left arm, then proceeded to wrap more around his other arm. "I...do feel a slight pain in my arm after I fell down, but other than that, I am perfectly alright."

The goth nodded his head to the girl's words. "I'm glad to hear that you're alright." The two smiled at each other for a second, before the drama girl continued wrapping up her friends arm.

Immediately after that was done, both of them suddenly began to realize something appeared to be amiss. When they looked out one of the nearby windows, they quickly took notice how dark it was becoming outside. This seemed to be a bit peculiar for both of them, considering that it was still daylight outside when they first arrived here. Both of them shrugged it off though, only believing that nightfall had came quicker than they expected. Neither one of them really paid attention to the time throughout the entire day, since they were too busy having fun doing the carnival's games and rides. It was a shame if that's the case though, they were beginning to enjoy this day of hanging out together.

Right before Victoria could stand up and decide to head on home, a bright light came flashing through the window for a brief second, and a loud sound of thunder shook the entire house. Afterwards, the sound of raindrops rapidly hitting the roof could be heard up above. Looking outside, they could see that the wind was just as potent as the rain coming down from the clouds. With how hectic this storm seemed to be, walking out into that would pretty much be considered suicide.

Both of them were caught off-guard by this storm. Neither of them heard anything about this anywhere today, nor earlier on in the week. This storm just came completely out of nowhere for the two of them. With how violent this hurricane was looking, Victoria just hoped that this end up lasting long. For now, it seems like she was going to be trapped at her crush's house for awhile until this storm comes to an end.

Upon seeing this, Victoria stood up from her chair while pulling her phone out of her pocket, seeing that it was ringing. She went over to the living room to answer the call, while Ray remained standing there next to the window, watching the rain coming out of the sky. Answering the phone call, Victoria stood in front of Ray's couch and spoke with whoever was calling her. Much to her surprise, it was James's mother.

"Victoria! Where are you?!" The mother said sounding extremely worried.

"Hello there, Emily." Victoria said, calmly. "I am currently at Ray's house at the moment. I am...unfortunately trapped here at his house until this rain dissolves..."

"Well...I hate to break it to you, but I was trying to warn you about this earlier this morning. I tried to inform you about this, but you left before I could tell you." The British girl raises an eyebrow after hearing this, as her step-mother just continued talking. "I'm glad to hear that you're somewhere safe, but...unfortunately, you're going to be stuck there until morning."

"What?! Emily, thou mustn't just allow me to remain forsaken here!" The drama girl then places a hand over her mouth and phone, walking over to the living room window to stay a bit far away from letting Ray hear her. "If thou hast not heard me correctly, I am currently at Ray's house!" She whispers loudly to her step-mother.

"Victoria, I wish there was something that I can do, but I can't, not even Trevor can do anything to help you. The storm out there is too dangerous for us to come get you." The drama girl smacks her own forehead, letting out an irritated groan after hearing this. "All I can tell you is that you might want to try to ask Ray if you're allowed to stay at his house for the night. I'll try to see if I can pick you up in the morning."

"Very well, fair Emily..." The British woman mutters, before rubbing her hand down her face. "I guess I shalt talk to thee soon, I suppose."

"I suppose, yes. I'll talk to you later, Victoria." After that was said, the phone call ended there.

"Well, this is just brilliant..." The drama girl mutters, while Ray enters the living room. "My step-mother told me that this hurricane is going to last all night. So I am unfortunately going to be trapped here until morning."

"I'm sorry to hear, Victoria." Ray said with a look of remorse on his face. "You're allowed to stay here for the night..."

"Oh no, I mustn't...thou hast done a lot for me already. I mustn't be too much of a burden for thee, dearest Ray."

"Hey, it's totally fine by me. The only way that you would've been told to leave is if my dad was here, but since he's still in Boston right now, he's not here to denounce this decision."

"Very well..." The drama girl bowed her head, before finally making her decision. "Then I shall stay here for the night."

"Alright then." The goth gave his friend a thumbs up, before taking a step back. "Well, the night is still young, so...what do you want to do right now?"

"I...guess since I don't really see anything else for us to do...I guess we can watch TV together."

"Good idea."

After they both agreed on that, both Ray and Victoria went straight to the coffee table to pick up the TV remote. The two both grabbed a hold of the it at the same exact time, both of their hands touching the other. Both of them turned their heads towards each other, before blushing and chuckling nervously at this. They then stood back up, feeling a bit flustered that this happened.

"I'm...terribly sorry about that..." Victoria said through giggles.

"Um...I'm sorry too." Ray said while rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. He then backs away from Victoria, before pointing at the kitchen. "I...uh...think I'm going to just make us some popcorn. Is that alright with you?"

"I honestly don't think I've eaten anything all day, aside from pancakes." Victoria nodded her head as she sat down onto the couch. "Why certainly, dearest Ray. Do you mind if I try to find us a show to watch?"

"Sure. Go right ahead."

"Brilliant." Ray heads over to the kitchen, while Victoria remained sitting on the couch, finding something for them to watch together.

In the kitchen, Ray went over to one of the cabinets and pulled out a packet of popcorn kernels. He places the small pack into the microwave, then waited by the side of the counter so that he can wait for it to cook. While he stood there waiting, the goth couldn't help but glance over to Victoria in the living room, who was still trying to find something for them to watch together.

'What a day this has been...' Ray said in his thoughts as he stared at his best friend from his spot. 'A day at the carnival, I teaches a lesson to that asshole Derek, and now here I am spending my night with Victoria. Just me and her...it's like we're the only two people on Earth how much we...' It was at this moment, the goth's calm smile turned into a shocked look, suddenly realizing what was going on in his thoughts. 'Wait, what am I even saying?! I'm acting like I'm actually interested in Victoria, she's my best friend! I already have a girlfriend!' He glanced over to the British girl again. 'But then again...she's probably one nicest girls that I have ever met in Simport. She's kind, she's thoughtful, and...dare I saw...beautiful...'

The goth was taken out of his thoughts for a moment when he heard the sound of the microwave making a beep sound, signaling to Ray that the popcorn was finally done. He took the bag out of the microwave, then pulled out a large bowl that was in one of the cabinets. He poured the popcorn into it, then carried it over to the living room.

'Just ignore those random feelings, Ray.' The goth told himself in his own thoughts. 'You and Victoria are just friends, and are probably only going to be friends and nothing more.'

Meanwhile...

With Katie...

For the tomboy and her father, neither of them had to go to work today. The dentist building was made aware of time that the storm was on its way to Simport, so they, along with the other dentists who work there, all mutually decided that it would be a safe option if the dentist building stayed closed today. It wasn't like anyone actually called in for any appointments anyway. So, pretty much, she and her father just remained at their house and did absolutely nothing all day.

At the moment, Katie was busy in the living room playing video games by herself, all while her father was busy on his laptop in the dining room. The two had finished up dinner a few minutes ago, and now they were just busy doing their own things to pass the time. All was calm and all was silent with the sole exception of the rain, the lightning and thunder that was going on outside their house. It didn't seem like anything could really disrupt such a peaceful night like this one.

Without any sort of warning, a knock suddenly was heard on the front door, startling both dentists. Neither of them were expecting anyone to be coming to the house. They were actually surprised that somebody was willing to somehow be even out there during a dangerous hurricane such as that one. The two made their way over to the front door, as Katie's father opened the door for whoever was outside.

Upon opening the door, both of them saw Sapphire standing there on their front porch. She was wearing a light blue raincoat and rain-hat, and was carrying a dark red umbrella. She closes her umbrella, before waving at the two dentists.

"Hello Dr. Morris!" Sapphire said to the older one of the two. She then turns her head towards the tomboy next to him. "Hello Katie."

"Uh...hey, Sapphire..." Katie said, sounding very confused about the party girl just randomly showing up at her house. "What are you doing here?"

"I was like, walking through the neighborhood, enjoying this totally beautiful sunny day outside, until this hurricane like, totally came out of nowhere." The party girl stepped into the house, placing her umbrella by the side of the door. She then took off her raincoat and rain-hat, placing both of them onto the nearby coat-rack. "I was about to go and ask James's mother if I could like, stay at their house for the night, also because I needed to talk to her son about something, but I wasn't able to. Also, James is in like, a sour mood, because he like, totally had to walk home from work...in the rain."

"So, you decide to just come to my house of all places?"

"Hey, I wanted to like, go to my girlfriend's house or my own instead, but those two places are too far away from here. I could've roller-skated there to make the way there more quicker, but it started raining right when I was about to do just that. My options were kind of limited at the moment."

"You got a point on both of those reasons."

"Indeed." Katie's father said, agreeing with his daughter.

"So, yeah, I'm totally sorry for all of the sudden showing up and asking you guys this, but can you guys let me like, stay here for the night?" Sapphire asked. "I don't want to risk my life trying to get home in a storm like that."

"You know, dad, we could give Sapphire the guest room upstairs." Katie suggested to her father.

"Well, yes indeed, Kathryn...but weren't we planning to give that room to Vance once he arrives here in Simport later on?" Her father asked.

"Yeah, I know. But Vance isn't going to be here until later on in the year or so, isn't he? I don't see why lending her that room for a day could hurt." The tomboy then looks over at Sapphire, before pointing upstairs. "The only problem with the spare bedroom we have up there is that it's a bit...cluttered with some things that me and my dad don't really use. There's nothing really too huge, most of them are just boxes, but..."

"No need to tell me about it. I doubt I would even mind it at all." Sapphire told her. "Besides, it's not like I brought anything along with me other than my phone."

"Oh, okay then." Katie's father began to head back over to the dining room so that he can continue working on his laptop, while his daughter remained standing there talking with the party girl. "Well, all I can tell you now is just make yourself at home. Just know that me and my dad will be heading off to bed in about two hours, so don't expect us to be up all night like you normally are."

"Alright. Thanks again for letting me stay here for the night."

"No problem."

"Also..." Sapphire said, now whispering. "...I want you to come to me later on tonight. I have something important to talk to you about."

"Wait, what?" Right as the tomboy said that, Sapphire began to head over to the kitchen to collect herself something to drink. Katie stood there feeling dumbfounded for a few more seconds, before rolling her eyes and heading back into the living room to play more video games by herself.
