Meanwhile...
Back at the Louiston's Residence...
When she returned home, Victoria remained in her bedroom for about a majority of the morning. After everything that she and Ray did the night prior, she felt like it was only best to be alone to her thoughts. Also, she didn't want to face her step-brother, knowing that he'd probably question her about her time at Ray's house. Knowing that her step-mother is James's mother, Victoria can only assume that she would inform her son about her whereabouts after their phone call. Being confronted by her step-brother was the last thing that she really needed right now. The only times when she went downstairs was to eat breakfast and to talk to her father about her whereabouts before he went off to work.
At the moment, Victoria was sitting at her desk reading one of the romance novels that she has on her bookshelf. She also has the stuffed-animal that Ray had got for her on the desk beside her. She would glance at it time to time, giving it a smile in delight whenever she did. It was the first gift that her goth friend had ever given her after all, and she doubts that it will be the last knowing their friendship reformed...as well as their somewhat started relationship.
Despite her happiness, she couldn't help but wonder how Ray is doing with his girlfriend, as well as if he had gotten the text she sent him seconds ago. After what had happened between them last night, she felt it was only necessary that they'd talk about it later on. Her first kiss with Ray felt magical to her, but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty knowing that Raven trusts her after everything that went down at Goth Boy's house days ago. Not to mention, she knew James was going to be furious with her the moment he figures out about this too. Whatever happens later on, she hopes that them finding out doesn't end up dampening her friendship with Ray.
While she just sat there, she heard a sound coming from downstairs. It sounded like the front door slamming shut. She was a bit confused at first, since she didn't hear the sound of either her father or step-mother's car pulling into the driveway, but that was when she heard her step-brother shouting for her.
"Victoria?! Are you home?!" James asked.
'Oh, jolly wonderful...the incompetent buffoon is here.' Victoria said in her thoughts while rolling her eyes.
"Yes, I'm here!" She then shouts while turning her head for a second to glare at the door behind her.
Now getting a little irritated, Victoria places the romance novel she was reading aside, then picked up the gift Ray had given her. Just as she picked it up, she heard what sounded like footsteps coming up the stairs close by and making her way over to her bedroom. She turned her head towards the bedroom door as it slowly began to open, revealing James on the other side...and from the look on his face, he was anything but happy. Not that it really mattered to her at all. An angry look is always what she has to expect when it comes to somebody like James. Getting even more irritated, she places her gift aside and glared at her step-brother.
"Oh blimey, must I even ask why thou be in such a terrible mood...once again?" Victoria asked in a clearly disinterested tone of voice.
"Well...what do you think?!" James asked her sarcastically, sounding very annoyed and upset. "Jenny thinks she has a 'Secret Admirer' over a mistake I made on my letter to her, and I have a secret admirer of my own out of complete nowhere, and I have to meet up with them later tonight! If you haven't noticed, I'm kind of stressed out right now!" The goth ranted while throwing his arms into the air.
"Well, I genuinely don't know why you're telling me this..."
"Oh, that's not all, Verily! I also figured out about everything that went down at Ray's house last night?"
"What?!" Victoria exclaims in surprise, before recoiling so that she can try to deny everything the goth was saying. "I-I haven't got a single clue what you are talking about. I was only staying at Ray's house overnight."
"Oh, really?!" The drama girl nodded her head to James's question, before the goth proceeded to call her out for lying to him. "So...I guess it wasn't you who texted Ray while me, Ghostly, and Raven were all hanging out together at the coffee shop together?! I'm guessing Raven didn't end up seeing a text from you telling Ray that you guys kissed and then banged afterwards...while she had her boyfriend's phone in her hands, might I add!"
"Wait, Raven had Ray's phone on her?" Her step-brother nodded his head to what she asked, still glaring at her in pure anger and hatred. "Why?!"
"Does it really matter why?!" James asked, starting to get frustrated again. "You just destroyed their relationship!"
"They broke up?!" The drama girl asked in surprise.
"Yes, they did...and it's all because of you, Victoria! RAVEN IS FURIOUS WITH HIM, AND SO AM I!" After screaming that, the geeky goth took a few seconds to calm himself down, still glaring at his step-sister as he did. It took a few seconds, but James was able to calm down a little bit before continuing to talk. "I can't exactly say that I'm as furious with you as Raven is right now...I feel a lot more disappointed then I am angry talking with you about this. This was exactly what I was worried about when you started to become friends with him again...and now that it has happened...I can't exactly say that I'm angry with you, let alone, furious...but I'm just disappointed with you, Victoria. I just hope you know that you destroyed my friendship with Ray, as well as his relationship with his childhood friend on a day that I feel like is the worst day of my entire life..." The goth steps out of her bedroom, before glaring behind himself one last time. "I just hope your relationship with him will be wonderful despite every consequence that comes with it." After that was said, James closes the door and heads off to his own bedroom.
Despite everything that James had criticized her for, the only thing that Victoria could do was glare at her bedroom door. She already knew that what went down between her and Ray would've been found out one way or the other, and she did somewhat felt guilty about this happening, but the fact that her step-brother was the one who called her out on it first didn't make her happy whatsoever. To her, the only people who mattered in this entire situation was her, Raven, and Ray. She did not care how any of this affects James, mostly due to their past together.
Right as she was about to go back to her desk to think to herself, she began to hear a beeping sound coming from her phone. She picks it up, seeing that she had gotten a text from somebody. When she saw the text, she wasn't surprised to be seeing that it came from none other than Ray. He hasn't responded to the previous two texts that she sent him seconds ago, but now it seems like he finally did. She reads the text silently to herself.
'Hey Victoria. Sorry I didn't respond to you right away...long story short, me and Raven broke up. She found out about what happened last night. Right now, I'm a little overwhelmed with emotion after she chewed me out for my actions, and other than Goth Boy, Yuki, and Crystal, I don't think I have anyone else to turn to about all of this other than you. I want to talk more about this with you, and if you want a place to meet up at, I'll be at the Royal Academy later tonight...I believe you know which spot I'm going to be at. I would meet up now, but...I need some time right now before I can actually talk about any of this. I hope to meet you there later tonight, Victoria.' Ray's text said.
'Of course, Ray. I'll see you there.' Victoria texted back, before sitting down at her desk to continue reading the romance novel she was reading moments ago.
A few hours later...
With Katie...
Now that her father was somewhat cool with meeting up with Chaz, the tomboy had one more person to talk to about her feelings for him. She knew it wasn't going to be easy, let alone civil, but she couldn't just leave her in the dark about her feelings, especially after she called the biker out for rejecting her. It was probably the stupidest thing that she could do in this entire situation, but it was only right that she does this before she can actually date the biker later on. She felt like now felt was a better time than ever to finally inform Crystal about her feelings for Chaz.
After work, Katie called her best friend in order to hang out with her this afternoon, which Crystal willingly agreed to. Both of them are currently enjoying each other's time at the skatepark that's a few blocks away from the Main Street area, which both of them tend to hang out around there at times. While the two were there, right before they could go off and ride on their skateboards, the two sat down at one of the few benches around the park so that Katie can explain everything that went down during her phone-call with Chaz days ago, as well as the night prior where Sapphire came to visit. After everything was explained to the rebel, the only thing that Crystal could do was lean back on the bench they were sitting on and let out a depressed sigh.
"So, let me get this straight...Chaz is in love with you and not me...and you're in love with him too?" Crystal asked, clearly sounding annoyed and stressed out.
"I hate to say it, but yes." Katie says while nodding her head to the rebel girl's question.
Crystal sighed again, before leaning forward onto her own knees. "So...why the hell are you telling me all of this for?"
"Well, I just thought..."
"Considering the fact that I made myself look like an absolute chump right in front of my crush, do you really think I want to be hearing this bullshit?!" From the sound of her voice, the rebel's anger was clearly beginning to grow as she was continuing to talk. Katie was about to say something in order to get her friend to calm down, but the girl continued, not giving her a chance to speak. "Also, since when the hell were you in love with him?! I don't remember hearing you say anything about being in love with him!"
"I know, I know...and I didn't have feelings for him, at first...it's just that after he told me that he had feelings for me, I didn't know how to feel about it. Then Sapphire came along...she and I talked a bit...and then she made me realize I too have feelings for him." The tomboy shrugged her shoulders, before looking at the ground for a second. "I don't know how she did it, but she somehow made me see that I'm in love with him just as much as you do."
"So...I'm guessing that both my attempts to try to get Chaz to be mine were all for nothing, huh?" Katie could only sit there shaking her head in silence, before Crystal stood up from the bench with an eye-roll. "Well...this is just great. To think that nothing could've gotten worse after he rejected me."
"Crystal, come on...don't be like that." Katie said as she stood up from the bench, all while her best friend was beginning to walk away from her. "I'm sorry that Chaz wasn't into you, and I wish I tried to convince him overwise when I was confronting him two nights ago, but his mind's made up. He's into me." Crystal just kept her back turned to her best friend, as the tomboy continued to talk. "Look, I don't know if saying this will make you feel a bit better, but there's other fish in the sea for someone like you. One of these days, you'll probably find another guy who's just as nice, tough, and handsome as Chaz."
Despite her words of encouragement, Crystal still didn't respond to anything that her best friend was saying. The only thing that the rebel did that was remotely close to a response was placing her skateboard down in front of her. She then got onto the skateboard and began to skate her way over to the park's exit, most likely heading either back home or to one of her goth friend's houses, leaving Katie all by her lonesome at the skatepark.
Seeing her best friend heading out of the skatepark, all Katie could do was just watch her leave while letting out a distressed sigh. She didn't say anything, nor did she even attempt to try to reach out to stop her from leaving. She already knew that attempting to try to talk to Crystal whenever she's angry isn't going to do anything but make things worse. The last thing that the tomboy needed was for their friendship to end all because of this. That is...if their friendship isn't already destroyed because of Chaz's decision. She honestly hopes that's not the case here.
Letting out a depressed sigh, Katie looks down at her skateboard before placing it down onto the ground in front of her. "Well...I guess it's just you and me now, Allison." The tomboy softly said to her skateboard. "Sometimes, you can't make everyone happy...am I right?" Sighing to herself again, Katie pushes herself onto her own skateboard and then headed off to one of the ramps around here to enjoy some skateboarding to herself.
