Amy and Scourge walked side by side to a park that was just up the road from the diner. He wanted to find a secluded bench that he could spill the news to her, but he was afraid of how she would react. Would she be mad at him for not telling her immediately? Would she hate him? Would she think he was lying to cover himself?

Scourge was silent the entire walk there. Although it was only a couple of blocks, it felt like an eternity to Amy as her mind raced to all possibilities. She was scared of Scourge, fearing that he was going to tell her that he was the one that hurt her. She had finally put the pieces together of what happened, but she didn't know who, or what exactly happened. But she did have an idea. She felt violated, like her body didn't belong to her anymore. She felt as if her insides had been exposed for the world to see. They found a bench that was shaded by a large oak tree. The city had recently mowed the grass, as the fresh earthy scent was lingering in the air. A few monarch butterflies fluttered by some flowers that were planted beside the tree. However, this spot that seemed as a totally romantic picnic getaway to most felt like a prison to Amy, and Scourge was marching her to her cell to be trapped, unable to move freely. Scourge sat down on one end of the bench. The tension was so thick, one could have cut it with a knife. He cleared his throat.

"Amy... I need you to trust what I am about to tell you, okay?" he said. Amy gulped. "We will see about that," she said as she sat across from the green one. "Well, at the party, you had a little too much to drink-" "Yea, I already know that. I don't remember very much, just some foggy visions. Get to the point," she ran her finger along the weathered wood, tracing her middle right finger around a knot engrained in it. "Amy, I just want to say that I'm sorry," he said. Amy's emerald eyes met his blue ones. "Scourge, stop leading me on. I already know that something bad happened to me. All I remember was being held down. I remember a weight on top of me, someone pulling my pants down. I remember seeing you. There was someone else in the room, I don't know who.." she trailed off as she watched a lady bug land on the corner of the table. "Sonic." Scourge stated, a monotone voice as if he had no heart or feelings. Amy was stunned. "Sonic? What? He wouldn't," Amy couldn't believe her ears. "Listen. I'm not sure what all might have happened before I found you. All I know is that you ran off, I couldn't find you or Blaze anywhere. I searched every room, including the bathroom, until I heard noises coming from where I found you and..." he hesitated. "And what?" tears streamed down Amy's face. "Sonic was trying to have sex with you. It hurt me so much, at first I thought you might of wanted to. I knew you have wanted Sonic to love you for a long time. But, something was wrong, Amy. You weren't conscious. That's when I knew that you didn't run off to have sex with him. He was going to rape you."

Amy stood from the bench to run, but Scourge caught her arm. "Scourge, I need to go," she said. She hurt deep in her chest. She had never felt so wrong in her life, she felt suicidal. She hoped this was all just a dream, that she would wake up and life would go back to normal. But she knew that wasn't going to happen. "Amy, I beat his ass and took you home. I didn't want to leave you there. I didn't even search for your friend anymore, all I was able to do was take you back to my house. I wanted to protect you Amy, I didn't even sleep once we got back. I watched over you, your every breath. I've never felt this way towards anyone, but it scares me. You woke up in my clothes because I wanted to make you more comfortable. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you, I was hoping that you wouldn't even remember anything because I didn't want to lose the happy go lucky girl that I... started to love as soon as I laid eyes on."

Scourge had pulled Amy closer to him with every word, their faces only inches apart. One hand held her arm that he grabbed while the other encircled around her waist. Amy felt like her whole world was crashing down.

"When you called, I was busy trying to tame down the beast that you awoke in me. I might have been with another, but you were the only one I could think about or want," Scourge added.

Amy didn't know what to do at this point. She had such mixed emotions, she couldn't think of anything else. She thought she wanted to run, to pull away, to find peace. For some reason, the closer to this green hedgehog she got, she felt like the waters were calmer than ever. So, Amy did the only thing she could think to do in that moment.

She threw herself into him, landing her soft lips onto his passionately. Scourge was surprised at first, but quickly melted into the kiss with her. He snaked his hands up her thighs, waist, until finally cupping her face in both of them. He slid his warm tongue into her mouth, playing with hers. Her knees shook. Her heart raced. She pulled away slowly, but stayed close.

"Scourge... I... I really need t-to g-go." she stuttered. Scourge smiled, his heart feeling full for the first time in a long time. Scourge kissed her forehead. "If you need anything, please call or text me. I need to know you are okay. I don't want to leave you alone, but if space is what you need to clear your mind or determine what it is that you want to do about this, then I will grant you that. But you have to promise me that you will let me know as soon as you are in a safe space," he said. Amy nodded and walked away. She had no idea what just happened, but she knew that if anyone was going to help her through this, it would be him.

Her new hedgehog.
