The Next Morning
Confusion that's all there was throughout the morning as Kate along with half the alphas were trying to figure out the message before them,the omegas and the pups of the tribe don't exactly know what's going on because Kate was trying to keep everything contained and kept behind the bush to avoid unwanted panic.
Link and Lyle told Kate everything that happened to them when they entered the Dark Forest including what happened when they were captured by the Shade he kept them in the black cave for a little while he didn't harm them physically then he brought them back home.
She scolded link and Lyle for disobeying her in going to the dark forest then ordered link and Lyle not to say anything to anyone else until Kate figures out what to do.
Kate along with Garth,Hutch,claws and Candu all sat in the den link and Lyle were found in "Kate do you believe them?"Garth asked curiously but kate didn't respond "I don't i mean it's obvious they are trying to scare us."Candu said crossing his arms "i don't know candu did you see the looks on their faces that's true fear nobody can fake easily."Hutch said Kate knew hutch was right on that in fact their faces reminded her the expression on Hunter's face when he told her of his encounter it too was realistic.
"Kate what do you think?"Garth asked again but Kate still didn't have a straight answer for him she just shook her head and left the den much to the confusion of the others.
Meanwhile
Out in a field Humphrey was sitting down along with Lilly watching A few omega pups play tag and sitting between them was Runt and Stinky who was grounded for his stunt last night Humphrey made him sit with him for the day which he absolutely hated. "Dad this is boring I'm an alpha i don't watch omegas have fun this is cruel and unusual punishment."Stinky complained to which Humphrey snorted "Well maybe you should of thought about that before you pulled that very stupid stunt last night."
Now it was Runt's turn to rip into Stinky "Seriously stinky what were you thinking you could've gotten kidnapped or worse?"Runt asked looking at Stinky who rolled his eyes in annoyance "well excuse me for defending my family,Man it seems like everyone is riding me."
"Everyone is riding you because you're not thinking before you act stinky you're always heading into dangerous situations without a solid plan it's like you're trying to prove something."Humphrey said with complete disappointment causing Stinky to frown "Maybe i was."he mumbled in anger causing Humphrey's ears to perk up as he heard stinky mumble something "What was that?" Humphrey ask with a little bit of anger that his eldest son probably said something slick to him "I said maybe i was,maybe i was trying to prove something maybe i was trying to prove that I'm the toughest bravest Future alpha that ever lived maybe i was trying to prove that I'm a better choice to lead this tribe than Claudette."
Humphrey and Lilly all stared at at Stinky in disbelief except runt who stared blankly at Stinky who just huffed and and stood up and began to walk away "Where are you going?"Humphrey asked "Home."Stinky replied harshly walking away runt made his personal mission to make sure he gets home without going anywhere else Humphrey shook his head watching his sons leave as he groaned in annoyance.
"What is with him?"Humphrey asked himself and lilly who just shrugged "i don't know Humphrey maybe it's an alpha thing maybe he is trying to prove he's all those things he said." "for what exactly?"Humphrey asked "Humphrey you're asking the wrong person these questions look just wait until Kate comes home and you both can sit down with Stinky and talk to him."
Humphrey nodded his head as he thought that was a great idea giving Kate is a alpha and his mother she would be better equipped to handle stinky, "Now how about we change the subject and talk about something positive?" lilly suggested Humphrey just sat there pouting as he couldn't think of anything "I got nothing,stinky killed my good mood." Lilly sighed shaking her head and getting up "and now you've killed mine."she said walking away Humphrey didn't watch her leave he just sat there staring at the grass.
Meanwhile
Stinky was stomping through the grass with Runt following close behind him which didn't go unnoticed by stinky "Why are you following me Stinky?"Stinky asked in a annoyed tone "Just making sure you make it home ok." Stinky groaned in annoyance "I don't need an escort runt go play with your friends or something leave me alone." Stinky said brushing runt off but Runt still followed him which began to really irritate Stinky.
"I mean it Runt go away."Stinky said with rising anger but Runt refused to go away which really began to make stinky's blood boil "If you don't go a way i swear I'll...Oww!" Stinky was so caught up in threatening runt that he didn't see he was walking towards a tree which he smack really hard not enough to draw blood but enough to give him a good bump.
Stinky winced holding his forehead glaring at the tree in front of him and then at runt who just looked at him with a blank expression "Not one word." Stinky walked away from the tree head still hurting from the impact then he continued walking rubbing his aching head in a direction the den wasn't located which was the other way.
"Uh Stinky?"Runt began but Stinky growled "I said not one word." "Where are you going the den is back this way."Runt said pointing behind him to which Stinky looked then huffed as he continued walking "Where I'm going is away from you." Runt paused then shook his head and decided to leave stinky alone to his head ache and decided to go back to Humphrey and Lilly.
Stinky paused for a moment then decided to go to the tribe healer den for his head but before he could he noticed Claudette with other female pups were talking about Stinky's failed attempt to act tough last night.
Stinky knew this because he heard Claudette say his name then said some snarky comment then the girls laughed. Stinky officially having enough of Claudette's mouth he decided to have a few words with her.
Stinky stomped over to them causing them to stop laughing and look at him "Don't talk about people behind their backs Claudette that's too cowardly you something to say to me be the strong alpha you claim to be and say it to my face."Stinky hissed Claudette only glared at him in annoyance.
"We weren't talking about you stinky."Claudette lied but Stinky did buy that one bit "Don't play the stupid game with me Claudette i have a headache and I'm not in the mood." Claudette noticed the bump on his head "Yeah i can see that why don't you go sit down somewhere before you lose consciousness."
Stinky took that as a threat and growled "How about i make you lose consciousness?!" this caused Claudette to jump up and stare down at Stinky. "You wanna go big Bro?" Claudette's friends all quietly slipped away cause everything started to get too intense.
"Yeah i wanna go."Stinky growled "Take your best shot,i dare you put one finger on me."Claudette said showing no fear towards her brother Stinky grinned at her and raised one hand in the air and very gently placed his pointer finger on her temple making Claudette narrow her eyes in fury.
Meanwhile
Humphrey and Runt were sitting next to each other except for lilly who went home for the day,Runt had his head down while still thinking about the very thing that's been tearing at him for the past couple of days and that was when will he tell his father about what he saw in the Dark Forest the answer is now.
Mustering up the courage runt spoke "Dad i need to talk to you about the day we went in the Dark Forest." Humphrey looked at his son with confusion but before he could say another word salty ran up to Humphrey in a panicked State "Humphrey,Stinky and Claudette are fighting."
Humphrey sighed in annoyance and quickly stood up and followed salty towards his battling Son and Daughter with runt close behind "oh for Fenrir's Sake..."Humphrey mumbled under his breath as he ran.
