Stinky and Claudette were in their den sitting down next to each other pouting their fur were messy and dirty from their fighting.

Stinky had a bandage wrapped around his head for his head,Humphrey along with Runt was standing infront of them "Ok what started it?"Humphrey asked demanding answers "She was talking about me."Stinky said glaring at Claudette "He touched me."Claudette said glaring back.

Humphrey looked between them completely stunned "wha?!" "Dad She was talking about me behind my back like a coward to her friends."Stinky said Humphrey looked at Claudette "Claudette is that true?"

Claudette looked away knowing that she couldn't lie to her father "Yes." Stinky pointed at Claudette in anger "See she admits she's a yellow bellied coward!" Claudette slapped stinky's hand away "I made you eat dirt with my magnificent combat skills."she said with a proud smile.

Stinky looked at her like she was insane "Magnificent?!,She fights dirty dad she even pulled my tail!" "You pulled my hair!"Claudette barked back "That's because you sat on my head with your mountain sized butt!"Stinky shouted "Shut up!"Claudette roared about to hit stinky but Humphrey stopped her.

"Stop it guys come on."Humphrey exclaimed looking at Claudette and Stinky who crossed their arms looking away from each other.

"For Fenrir's sake you're brother and sister you're supposed to be family you're supposed to love and care for each other not be enemies,what happened to you two you used to laugh and train together?"

"I'll tell you what happened daddy:Stinky's ego got more and more gigantic to the point were i couldn't take it anymore."Claudette said Stinky scoffed "i do not have a gigantic ego." Causing Claudette to glare at him "Yeah you do stinky if you didn't you would not have pulled that stunt last night."

Stinky faced her with a angry expression "what are you talking about i was trying to protect my family!" "Against what stinky?!" "The intruders last night!" "Oh you mean the two jerks that came here last night to freak out everyone the ones mom scared away?"

When everyone started asking questions on what that noise was kate said that it was a couple of lone wolves trying to scare everyone. Stinky scoffed then he look at Claudette with a confused expression as he realized something off "Wait a second two you mean three?" Claudette runt and Humphrey looked at Stinky in confusion.

"Three,there was a third wolf?"Humphrey asked in confusion Stinky nodded his head "yeah i saw a jet black shape zoom past some trees." this caught the attention of Runt who looked at Stinky curiously.

Claudette crossed her arms with skepticism at Stinky's claim to had seen a third wolf knowing that the dark can play tricks on the mind. "And did this black shape have any wolf like features on it like a tail or ears?"Claudette asked "I didn't get a good look at it ok it was dark and it moved too fast." Stinky said annoyed.

"Then how do you know it was a wolf?"Claudette asked Stinky looked at her like she was stupid "Aw come on it had to have been a wolf if it wasn't a wolf what was i chasing after?!"Stinky exclaimed in wonder.

After that dead silence filled the room as everyone else starting think the same thing however Runt has got a pretty good idea as too what it was.

"Maybe it was the Shade."Runt said with a hint of fear but Stinky wasn't gonna take that for an answer as he crossed his arms glaring at runt in disbelief "Seriously runt the Shade?"

Runt nodded and stinky just scoffed "you're gonna let Hunter get to you about his bogus story about meeting The shade in the dark forest?"

"Yes i am,you wanna know why because Hunter wasn't the only one who saw it."Runt said then he turned to Humphrey who looked at him with a confused expression "Dad there's something i wanted to tell you and mom for a while but i was afraid of being made fun of but right now i don't care anymore."

"Runt what's going on?"Humphrey asked Runt took a deep breath and began speaking "Before our class left the Dark Forest i saw the Shade although it wasn't in full view it was only it's eyes it glared at me from the black cave,i really wanted to tell you and mom but you guys would just tell me i was imagining it so i didn't say anything."

Stinky scoffed in annoyance not convinced by Runt's story "You did imagine it Runt the shade is not real,you can't be that gullible." "I didn't imagine it Stinky the shade is real,and i feel guilty for not saying anything sooner regardless of the risk of being laughed at because maybe if i had we wouldn't have gone back to that forest and maybe hunter wouldn't have went to the Dark Forest by himself too."

"It wouldn't have made a difference if you said something or not because no one would believe you runt because there's nothing in that forest or that cave in fact I'm going to prove it to you and everyone once and for all." Stinky said running outside to the confusion of of his family "uh where is he going?"Runt asked in confusion and nervousness "Stinky where are you going get back here!"Humphrey shouted as he watched Stinky run off.

"Hey everyone follow me i have something really cool to show you!"Stinky shouted loudly for the whole tribe to hear who look at Stinky curiously and followed him curious to what cool thing he wants to show them. Humphrey,Runt and Claudette all watched as the Whole tribe followed stinky to the Dark Forest "Unbelievable."Claudette said in annoyance "Ok Runt Claudette you try and talk Stinky out of whatever he's about to do I'm going to go get your mother." then Humphrey ran away with Runt and Claudette running towards stinky who was leading the crowd.

Runt and Claudette ran up beside Stinky who just kept looking forward walking "Stinky what are you doing?!"Claudette hissed through clenched teeth "I'm disproving a myth."Stinky just said as he walked ahead of Claudette and runt who just clenched her fists in frustration at Stinky.

Meanwhile

Kate was walking through a field of grass completely lost in her own mind she was trying to process the situation that was in front of her she wasn't entirely sure whether or not to believe Link and Lyle's claim to have been captured by the shade even though they looked like they've been through a lot.

She's one of those people that would require physical evidence to be staring at them in the face to believe and she knew there was one way to get physical evidence and she wasn't going to go into the dark forest again due to it's unsettling nature.

Kate sighed as she stop and began staring at the ground unsure of what to do next until she heard someone call her name multiple times Kate looked around in confusion and saw Humphrey running towards her in a panic Humphrey stopped in front of her and began talking really fast which Kate couldn't understand "Humphrey Humphrey slow down deep breaths." Humphrey took several deep breaths to calm him which worked "Now what were you trying to say?"Kate asked.

"Stinky's lost his blasted mind,he's leading the entire tribe to the dark forest."Humphrey said in a slight panicked tone Kate's eyes widened in anger that Stinky would go to the Dark Forest after banning travel there and confusion as too why stinky would do that "what when...Why would he do that?"

"To prove to everyone that the shade isn't real."Humphrey said Kate looked at Humphrey dumbfounded then she frowned extremely angry that her son would do something so potentially dangerous and stupid. Kate began stomping in the direction the tribe went with fire in her eyes as she headed towards the Dark Forest with the intent to embarrass Stinky infront of the tribe.
