Joey told Connor to stay quiet as she walked towards the door. She unlocks it and opens it. "Hey, Parker. What are you doing here?" She asks. "I just wanted to make sure you're okay." Parker starts walking forward and Joey is forced to allow Parker in. "I'm fine, really." Parker looks around the living room. "Connor is still out there, and Mindy hasn't been found. You need to be extra careful."

"Mindy wasn't caught?"

"No. No one has seen her since the incident." Joey contemplates whether or not she should tell Parker that Connor is here. Should she explain everything and ask for help? Before she could make a decision, a thump came from Joeys room, and it instantly made Parker pull out his gun. "No! It's okay! I didn't know if I should say this but..." Joeys train of thought left her when Connor slowly came out of her room. Parker points the gun at Connor. "Connor came here to hide. Please, put the gun down and let me explain." Joey pleaded, but Parker wasn't having it. "Get behind me, Joey. He's dangerous!" Connor looks anxiously at Joey. "Mindy is the one to blame. Fischer explained that Mindy passed deviancy onto Connor. Mindy wanted to use Connor to start a revolution, but Connor refused. That's why he is here. Mindy is the dangerous one."

Parker feels conflicted.

"We need to take him back to Cyberlife."

"I can't let that happen. They'll kill Connor."

Parker scoffs at what Joey said. "Kill? You mean deactivated."

"The same thing. Parker, please. Help us escape. There's gotta be a place we can hide until this all blows over and Mindy is caught." Parker shakes his head. "Joey, this is wrong. You know what they'll do to you if anyone finds out you're harboring a deviant? I can't. I won't!"

"Maybe there's something here, Parker. Something we don't understand about deviants. Maybe deviants aren't what we think they are. Maybe they can be more human than we believe they are capable of. We can't know for sure. But I saw it... and you saw it too." Joey walks over to Connor and intertwines her hand with his. Even though Joey is uncomfortable and embarrassed by the action, she wants Parker to see that Connor is not a threat. Connors heart rate increases. "Oh...I get it." Parker lowers the gun, and puts it back in the holster. Parker scratches his head and sighs. "I would say Canada, but you probably know no one there, right?" Joey nods. "I have a private vacation home in Cuba. No one knows I own it. It's isolated, and not so easily found. You guys can stay there until the coast is clear, if it ever is. I will let the airport know to prepare my private jet to fly tomorrow morning to Florida. We will fly into the Miami airport and drive the two hours to the Florida keys. There will be a boat waiting for you to board that will take you to Cuba. From then on, you're on your own." Joey runs up to Parker and hugs him. "Thank you! I'll go pack now!" Joey turns to go to her room when Parker grabs her wrist gently. "Are you sure about this?" Parker questions. Joey understands now that Parker took her gesture as a romantic one towards Connor, which isn't entirely false. Parker was hurt by Joeys gesture towards Connor. Even though they haven't been together for a couple years, Joey still had a place in Parker's heart. But instead of Joey directly confessing the feelings she has for Connor, she decides to leave Parker with the words, "I have to try." Parker let's Joeys wrist go and walks towards the kitchen on a quest to find alcohol. Joey packs a small backpack with essentials. Once done, she lays out her clothes for the trip tomorrow on her chair and gets ready for bed. "I'll be back by 7:30am tomorrow!" Parker leaves for the night.

Joey is dressed for bed and Connor is sitting on her bed, petting Snowy. "Connor, you're gonna have to stay in the living room." Joey kicks Connor out without letting him have a say in anything. Connor sits on the couch and turns on the tv. On the news, they are broadcasting live a space launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A test for a new rocket that will supposedly make space flight more sustainable. Also, will lead commercial space flight more accessible to the common people.

Interesting.

Connor thinks.

I'd like to go to space. Connor flips to the next channel and it is a telenovela. In the scene, a women is crying and punching at a mans broad chest. He grabs her by the wrist and with one husky romantic words of, "Mi amor", the women wraps her arms around the man, and he does the same. They passionately kiss. Connor leans forward.

Is that what people in love do?

Joey is laying in bed, not being able to sleep. She is rethinking all that she's done.

Why did I kick Connor out? I don't want him to be out there alone.

Joey notices she has always been that way. Always been independent, not relying on anybody. Joey believes that's the real reason why Joey and Parker's marriage ended. Joey starts thinking about the crazy trip she will be taking with Connor. A dangerous trip.

I don't even like Connor that much. It's only a crush.

Joey thinks about the times they spent together. One certain time that she remembers is when Joey gave Connor a small thinking test.

She asked him to close his eyes and imagine a forest. "Is the forest quiet, or loud?" Joey asks. "Both." Joey writes down his answer. "In this serene forest, what do you see?" "I see a deer. With a fawn. And she's looking at me. No, not looking at me. Through me. She understands me." Joey writes down what he says, in awe at his imagination. "How does that make you feel?" "I feel at peace." Connor smiles. Joey almost misses it, but she looks up from her clipboard right on time. Connors smile is innocent. Joey can't help but smile as well. "You can open your eyes now, Connor." Connor opens his eyes, and looks at Joey. No, not looking at Joey. Through her. Joeys heart starts picking up speed. It was as if in this moment, they've known each other their whole lives. They were connected. Both mind and heart together. Maybe this is when Joey started having deeper affection for Connor. And maybe this is when Connor started feeling the same way. Because they both were caught up in the moment, Joey couldn't see that Connor was a deviant from the beginning. She chose to look past it.

Joey got up from her bed and cracked open her door. She saw Connor watching tv.

Weird.

She still isn't used to androids acting out of program. She walks towards the couch and sits next to Connor. "I just wanted to make sure you knew, i kicked you out of my room for privacy, not for any other reason." Connor smiles, "It's fine." Joey puts her hand on Connors and looks him in the eye. Connor looks back.

There goes the feeling again.

He continues not to break eye contact. He starts to lean in towards Joey, and she reflexively does the same. Before their lips could meet, Connor softly says, "mi amor". Which makes Joey stop. "What?" She says with a smile. "I saw it on tv." Connor says innocently. Joey laughs and gets up from the couch. Connor is a bit disappointed he didn't get to feel what the people in the show felt. But, he felt something on his cheek. His sensory registered it as a warm light feeling. Joey kisses Connors cheek. With a smile and a light wave, Joey went back to her room and shut the door. She definitely wasn't ready to admit her feelings, but she was close to it. Connor stayed on the couch, holding his cheek and smiling uncontrollably.
