During the campaign against Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao would host bonding exercises between the allied forces. An especially popular game was said to be the "Bao Po Yuen Xinli Robot Taisen" (lit. "Three legs, steamed bun upon spoon race"). Anybody who paired up with Zhang He would lose the race, because Zhang He was said to have auspicious long legs. Xu Chu's steamed bun would always mysteriously disappear, disqualifying him. On one occasion, Cheng Pu accidentally threw his spoon ten thousand paces yonder. The spoon lodged itself in Hua Xiong's neck and ended his life.
