Technoes. Technoes were everywhere.
Technoes are ancient machines meant to protect people, specifically the people of Flordonia, however, the god of evil, Chaos Gargantua, rose from the dead and seized the castle, killing the sacred Warriors and claiming the Sacred Animals as his own. This is the story of a post-apocalyptic kingdom, now in ruins.

S1x01: Cliffside
Joseph, who has blonde hair, fair skin, green eyes, and a well-shaped body, found himself in nothing but his underwear in what appeared to be a locked room, with a pedestal with a holder on it in the shape of a rectangle. It was glowing orange.
He swung his legs over the Freezing chamber, and stood up. He looked down, and realized that he was only wearing navy blue underwear.
Go up to the pedestal and take the Shadow Tablet- the rectangular object placed there.
Joseph walked up to the pedestal and grabbed this Shadow Tablet.
The door opened.
Joseph entered the next room, and found a dull, beige shirt, brown pants, and boots laying on a table.
He clothed himself, and noticed that he had entered yet another locked room.
Place the Shadow Tablet in the holder.
Joseph placed the Shadow Tablet in the holder, and the door opened, letting the sunlight engulf the room.
Joseph, you are the light, our light, the light that must shine upon Flordonia! Go forth.
Joseph walked forward onto a patch of grass with a giant puddle. He kept walking forward until he reached a rock wall. He climbed the small rock wall, no bigger than maybe five feet in height, and walked outside.
Joseph walked all the way to the edge of a cliff, and got a complete view of Flordonia: The castle to the northwest, Flordonia Mountain directly north, Twin Mountaintops to the northeast, a forest below him, and a whole village of people nearby. Joseph does not know the names of these places yet, but he will come to know them very well eventually.
To Joseph's right was a declivity, and at the base of that declivity was an old man in a black hood, brown shirt, brown pants, and black boots. He is holding a lantern as well, but it was the kind of lantern that was attached to a rod. Behind him was a little alcove in the rock where he had a campfire set up. Further back was a small pond and even further behind was what seemed to be an abandoned temple, now filled with people.
Joseph walked down the declivity towards the old man.
"Hello," the old man said. "I saw you at the top of that incline. The view is stupendous, I assume."
Joseph nodded. "Yes, quite."
"This, my young friend, is Cliffside," the old man said. "It is one of the few safe areas left. No monsters. No Technoes. Nada. Just people living out a peaceful life."
"Why did I wake up in that place over there," Joseph said, pointing to the chamber he just left.
"That place is the Temple of Restoration," the old man said. "100 years ago, this beautiful kingdom of Flordonia was brutally attacked by Chaos Gargantua. Many lives were lost, mainly in Flordonia Castle and Flordonia Castle Town, as well as any surrounding areas. Some Technoes did manage to climb the wall and do some damage, but they eventually broke down and became sedentary. Rumor has it that you were placed there due to fatal injuries."
"Fatal injuries?"
"Yes," the old man said. "That's about as much as I know."
"What about that place," Joseph asked, pointing at the destroyed temple behind the old man.
"That place is known as the Ancient Temple," the old man said. "It's been around for thousands of years. Now it sits here, a shell of its former self."
"Hmm."
"If you need anything else, let me know," the old man said, and walked away.
Joseph continued past the old man and towards the central square, where people converged or minded their own business.
Joseph walked past, many people giving him odd looks.
Joseph. Joseph. Go to the place marked on your Shadow Tablet.
Joseph pulled out his Shadow Tablet, and a yellow dot appeared.
He looked up, and saw some structure hidden within a pile of rocks.
He walked towards the structure, and saw another pedestal that was glowing orange.
He placed the Shadow Tablet in the rectangular space, and the pedestal turned blue.
There was a halo sound.
The ground rumbled.
The last thing Joseph remembered was being knocked out by something.
--
The ground rumbled, birds flew from trees, and squirrels looked up.
A silver haired girl, wearing a black v-neck shirt, jeans, black boots, had purple eyes, and was sitting on a log, looked up. She seemed to be around 20 years old.
The structure beneath the rocks rose, causing the rocks to burst and fall to the ground.
All across Flordonia, similar structures rose from the ground, each with an orange glow.
--
Joseph woke up.
He noticed that he was lying on some sort of black tile.
He stood up, and looked around. He was much higher now, and noticed he was atop some sort of tower.
There were some new features of the kingdom Joseph hadn't noticed before though: There were towers everywhere, glowing a bright orange.
Joseph looked out at the castle, and there was a tremor.
A black smoke began to swirl around the castle, and some of the smoke became a hot pink, and a sort of pig shadow creature with yellow eyes appeared. It let out a loud roar.
Please save me, Joseph. Hurry, before it's too late.
The voice had to be coming from the castle, Flordonia Castle.
Joseph brushed it off, and descended the tower.
Once he reached the base, he noticed that everyone was staring at the tower.
The old man paraglided down to Joseph.
"Ho ho ho," the old man said. "So that's what caused the earthquakes huh? If you don't mind me asking, what happened up there?"
"I heard a voice."
"Did you recognize this voice?"
"No."
"I see," the old man said. "Do you intend on making your way to that castle?"
"A little bit."
"Hmmm," the old man said. "Well, there's no way you're leaving this Cliffside. There are steep cliffs on all sides. No death could be more certain… or more foolish."
Joseph gulped.
"I mean, I COULD give you my paraglider," the old man said.
"May I," Joseph asked.
"Nothing in this world is free son," the old man said. "I'll exchange it for some treasure that sleeps nearby."
The old man looked to the right and pointed at a weird structure that was also glowing orange.
"That there is a Temple," the old man said. "I will give you my paraglider IF you find the treasure that most likely slumbers there."
Joseph nodded, and casually jogged to the Temple.
He used his Shadow Tablet, and activated it.
"Hey!"
Joseph spun around, and saw the silver-haired girl.
"Um…," Joseph began. "Who are you?"
"I'm Elena," the girl said. "I saw you activate that tower. Don't you need a weapon for that Temple?"
"No…?"
"Wrong, you do," Elena said. "See this place? This is Cliffside. We are a peaceful community isolated from the horrors of this awful world. I know one thing for sure: if there is, by chance, any treasure there, you're gonna need this."
Elena handed Joseph the wooden spear she was holding.
"Now go."
Joseph did as told and entered the Temple.
He saw a Shadow Tablet pedestal, and he activated it.
A magnet icon appeared on the Tablet.
He went down into the opening in the ground, and walked through the little mini-tunnel.
He climbed a ladder, and saw that his path was blocked by many stone blocks and one metallic block, all of which were stacked.
"Hmmm," Joseph thought. "Maybe if I use this magnet power, I can use the metallic block to shove the stone ones out of the way?"
After fidgeting with his Shadow Tablet for a good five minutes, he figured out how to use this "Levitation" power, grabbed the metallic block, and pushed the stone blocks out of the way.
On the other side was a Techno Trooper, a miniature version of a Techno.
It began to target him.
Acting quickly, Joseph jumped over the tumbled blocks and shoved the spear through the Techno Trooper's eyes.
The Techno Trooper dropped some parts.
They turned into blue particles and went into the Shadow Tablet.
Joseph checked the Tablet, and saw that an "Ancient Gear" slot was added.
"Hmm," Joseph said.
He used the Levitation to pick up a broken door, and used it as a bridge to cross the next two platforms until he got to the platform with two, gigantic metal doors.
He used Levitation to open them, and saw a gray old man in a giant point hat, sitting inside this blue cube, praying.
He walked up the steps to the cube.
He reached out, and touched it.
His touch made an indent, which then formed ripples. The ripples made the sound of water dripping.
The cube glowed white, then exploded into many blue particles.
"I am Oman Au, of the Oman Au Temple you just completed," the priest said. For your brave efforts, I shall give you a divine gift called a Spirit Orb. You can use these to become more immune to enemy attacks or increase your stamina levels."
A purple ball with an intricate design appeared, and it flew straight into Joseph's chest.
"Go, in the name of the Goddess Flordonia, and restore peace to the land."
They both disappeared in a puff of green particles.
--
Joseph found himself back outside of the Temple.
Elena and the old man were waiting for him.
"What was in there," Elena asked.
"Was there any treasure," the old man asked.
"Nah," Joseph said. "This old dude just gave me a Spirit Orb thing and I got this magnet power."
"A Spirit Orb," the old man said. "That counts as treasure. Long ago, Shadow priests would protect them with their lives, but that was before the Chaos."
Elena nodded.
"So…," Joseph began. "May I have that paraglider?"
"Not yet," the old man said. "There are about three other Temples like this one scattered around Cliffside. Go to them."
"Hey, that wasn't part of the agreement!"
"Agreements do change, my friend," the old man said. "If you climb up that tower, you may see the Temple glowing orange."
Joseph sighed, and the man walked away.
"Don't worry, uh…," Elena began.
"Joseph," Joseph said. "My name is Joseph."
"Joseph, right," Elena said. "Don't worry Joseph! I know where the Temples are!"
"Then take me to 'em!"
They walked all the way over to the Eastern Abbey, which was just a bunch of overgrown ruins with decayed Technoes scattered about.
They made their way to the center of the abbey, where the next Temple was.
"This is the bomb trial Temple," Elena said. "These are the most advanced bombs in the country, and you can use your Tablet there to control it."
"H-How did you know about this Tablet," Joseph said in shock.
"Calm down," Elena said. "It's an ancient Shadow device. Everyone here knows about it."
Joseph sighed, and he entered the Temple.
