Indy, Sallah, Henry, Brody, and the girls rode into the canyon. The wind was wailing and there was a biting cold feeling that foreshadows the danger up ahead. But the girls felt something else too.

"Hey, do you guys feel that?" Akko asked.

"Yeah, I feel something," Lotte said.

"This feeling is so familiar, but I don't know where I know it from," Amanda said.

"It is as if this is the same feeling that was in the Arcturus Forest," Barbara said.

"But it can't be, not here. There is no evidence that magic flows through this place," Diana added.

"Let me check something," Akko said. While she was riding her horse, Akko put the harness in her mouth and took out her wand. She saw that her wand's bar is fully charged, like a battery. She was surprised about this.

"Hey guys, either the sun is making me have a mirage or my wand is fully charge," Akko called out.

The girls stopped and checked their wands out. They were surprised that all of their wands were completely full. Indy, Sallah, Henry, and Brody stopped as soon as they heard the loud cheers of the girls. They were confused at what was happening, with Indy trotting towards the girls.

"You guys need to keep it down," Indy whispered.

"Sorry, but we have some good news. Our magic back," Akko said, happily. Indy was taken aback of this, not knowing what to do.

"Your magic is back?" Indy asked.

"Yeah, surprisingly," Barbara said.

Henry rode close to Indy, seeing what is going on. "Junior, what did the young ladies say?" he asked.

"Their magic is back. But I don't understand, I thought you guys say that there has to be a Weyland line," Indy said, confused.

"We did, but that is what is confusing us. There is no note of this place having a Weyland line," Diana told Indy.

"Well, through my studies, I did find some things on how the Crescent Moon gives off supernatural energy. It is as if God is watching us," Henry recalled.

"That actually makes sense. I did read in some books that other than the Weyland lines, other forms of magic have more of a religious background. The most common are a Wiccan form of magic and Voodoo, but there are also the ones that a bigger magical being gives off. The most common name for this being is…" Diana said.

"Jehovah," Indy interrupted.

"Yup Jehovah," Diana confirmed.

The group made their way to the hidden city. Its spectacular Grecian façade is carved directly into the rocks. It is a stunning sight, leaving the girls in awe. "This has to be one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen," Akko said. She got her wand and conjured a camera out of midair. She took a picture of the façade, which surprise the men. She then made the camera disappeared, saving the pictures with them. "Man, do I miss my magic," Akko said happily. The group stopped at the mouth of the entrance and exited off their horses. They enter through the façade crept forward. Everyone hid behind the rock to see a terrified Turkish soldier walking slowly. His eyes were darting everywhere, muttering a prayer under his breath.

"What's going on?" Akko whispered. She was shushed by Diana, as she was focusing on the soldier.

The soldier was standing alone in the center of the temple. The temple itself was very dark with giant columns filled with statues of lions in each column. Amanda saw Elsa and Donovan standing behind the Turk, watching him from a safe distance. The Turkish soldier was approaching the temple. As he was walking into the temple, he saw the dozens of dead Turkish soldiers, all of them having their heads chopped off. As he took one more step, there was a roaring sound and a whoosh of air. The next thing that happens was something flying out of the temple bouncing off of the steps. Hannah and Barbara squinted their eyes to see what flew out but then gasped in horror. Diana notices this and saw what they were looking at. Everybody was in horror at the sight of a body-less head. As Donovan was ordering for another volunteer, Akko turned around trying to grasp what happened to the soldier. As she turned around, she was met by a muzzle of a pistol. She pointed at the outside trying to understand what the mysterious person was saying. At that moment the sound of a gun being cocked was heard through the temple, with a couple of soldiers forcing them forward.

Elsa was happy to see Indy not dead. She controlled herself and said coldly, "I never expected to see you two again."

"We are a monkey in the wrench," Amanda said, "More of a pain in the ass to you guys, who you can never kill."

"Amanda is right, we are like a bad penny. We always turn up," Indy said confidently.

"Step back now, Doctor Schneider. Give Dr. Jones some room. He's going to recover the grail for us," Donovan said smugly.

Indy and the girls started laughing.

"Impossible? What do you say, Jones? Ready to go down in history?" Donovan asked in surprised.

"As what? A Nazi stooge like you?" Indy asked in a spiteful tone.

"Nazis?! Is that the limit of your vision?! The Nazis want to write themselves into the Grail legend and takes on the world. Well, they're welcome to. But I want the Grail itself. The cup that gives everlasting life. Hitler can have the world, but he can't take it with him. I'm going to be drinking my own health when he's gone the way of the dodo," Donovan explained scornfully He then drew his pistol and pointed it at Indy. "The grail is mine, and you're going to get it for me."

"Shooting me won't get you anywhere," Indy said.

"You know something, Dr. Jones? You're absolutely right," Donovan said. He then shifts his aim just a bit and shoots Henry. The bullet went through his side below the ribs.

"Dad?!" Indy yelled out.

"Mr. Henry!" the girls shouted in pain.

"Junior, Girls," Henry said, collapsing.

"No!" Elsa said in shocked.

"Get back," Donovan order Elsa.

Blood was flowing from Henry's wound. Brody, Sallah, and the girls rushed to his assistance. Diana took out her wand and tried every spell she can think of.

"Diana, can you do something?!" Akko pleaded.

"I am trying to, but this is my first time trying to stop a bullet wound," Diana said in a panic. She then thought of an idea and cast a spell, which stopped the bleeding for a bit. "Here this should stop the bleeding for some time," Diana said.

Indy spun towards Donovan with murder in his eyes. Donovan pointed the gun and then warned Indy, "You can't save him when you're dead." Indy hesitated for a bit, with Donovan continuing, "The healing power of the Grail is the only thing that can save your father now. It's time to ask yourself what you believe."

Indy took in the situation that is being presented. The two decapitated men lying a few yards in front of him. Diana and Akko walked up to Indy and whispered, "Remember what we told you on the zeppelin about the traps," Diana told Indy.

Indy nodded and walked to the entranceway, guarded by two stone lions. Indy proceeded forward warily. He opened the Grail diary and walked very cautiously. "The breath of god… Only the penitent man will pass. Kneel before God. Only the penitent man will pass…" Indy whispered under his breath. He takes a few steps forward. "The penitent man will pass. He kneels. The penitent man…" Indy stops. He is about to reach the spot where two men have died. Henry looks at Indy and Indy looked back at him.

"Only the penitent man will pass. Only the penitent man will pass," Henry said in a raspy voice.

"The penitent man will pass. He kneels. The penitent… the penitent. The penitent man…" Indy kept on repeating. Indy pressed forward through the cobwebs. "The penitent man is humble before God," Indy recalled.

"Penitent, penitent," Henry kept repeating

"The penitent man is humble," Indy recalled, now the cobwebs beginning to move, "He kneels before God. Kneel!" Indy said to himself in a panic. With the rush of air, Indy knelt, with his hat knocked off and his hair flying in his face. As an instinct, Indy rolled forward on the ground out of harm's way. Looking up from his new position, he was able to see what was causing the trouble. It was a razor-sharp triple pendulum. Indy gets up cautiously to his feet, seeing the pendulum that has been guarding a small corridor. It turned a corner to the left fifty yards ahead. Wooden wheels turned, the mechanism controlling the spinning blades. Indy looped the rope around the wheels, jamming the mechanism and stopping the blades in mid-swipe.

"I'm through!" Indy shouted to Donovan.

"We're through!" Donovan said happily.

Brody and Sallah smiled, relieved. The girls let out a breath of relief. But that was until Akko and Diana remember the second trial.

"He's all right," Sallah reassured Henry.

"No, no, he is not," Akko said.

Indy now entered another room. Holding the Grail Diary, with his fedora now covered in cobwebs, he was reading once again. "' The second challenge is the word of God. Only in the footsteps of God will he proceed.' The word of God… the word of…" Indy was thinking aloud. He pulled some cobwebs out of the way, revealing a path. Each cobble is engraved with a letter. "Proceed in the footsteps of the Word," Indy told himself.

Henry lifted his head painfully. "The word of God…" Henry began to say. Diana saw this and try to lay him back.

"Mr. Henry, try not to use a lot of energy," she said.

Akko, in a trance-like state, was staring into the temple. No one was paying attention to her, everyone focused on Henry. She then saw a very beautiful young woman standing inside the temple. The woman had a mysterious aurora surrounding her. Her eyes were very kind and understanding. Akko somehow felt a connection. As the lady walked further into the temple, Akko began to follow her. She was able to pass the first challenge without getting hurt. She walked past a very confuse Donovan and Elsa who tried to pull her back, but to no avail. Akko walked up to Indy, who was studying the stones.

"The Name of God…" Indy said in his thoughts.

"Jehovah," Akko said. Indy flinched, scared by Akko who didn't react.

Indy grabbed Akko's shoulder and asked, "Akko, what the hell you doing here? This is very dangerous. Go back to Diana and the others."

Akko did not listen, still under her hypnotic trance. She then hopped on stones and made it safely across the room. Indy notices that the stones she hopped on were the correct ones that spelled out Jehovah. But instead of a J, it was an I due to the Latin phonetic. Indy followed Akko's steps, calling the letters out to Donovan, and was able to make it to the other side.

Going back to the rest of the girls and Henry, Amanda turned around to see that Akko is nowhere to be found. "Um, guys, where is Akko?" she asked. Everyone, except the guards, looked around frantically. Diana walked near the temple and notice Akko's footprints leading into it.

"No, it can't be," Diana thought.

"Um guys I think I have an idea where Akko went," Diana said, pointing towards the temple.

"Shit, we can't do anything now. I do hope that she is safe," Amanda said.

Back with Indy, he followed Akko into the last trial. When he enters the room, he saw Akko floating in midair. Indy confused, seeing no bridge, investigated the Diary again. "The path of God. Only in the leap from the lion's head will he prove his worth," he read.

Indy looked around and then he notices that inscribed into the rock above his head is the head of the lion. "Impossible! Nobody can jump this!" Indy thought in confusion and in despair.

"Poor Dr. Henry Jones Junior. A mere mortal afraid of death, while his father is lying on the floor drench with his own blood. You must believe Dr. Jones, you must believe. You have seen magic in the girls, such as this one I am possessing now. You have experience magic, with the staff of the moon. The girls looked up to you, so all you have to do is believe," Akko said in a dreamy voice.

Indy finally see that Akko is not herself, asked, "And who are you?"

"A mere guide and protector. I have always protected you and the girls you care about so much from death. Like on the bridge and the tank. I was the one who granted you the power of the staff. I worked in the shadows, but I have been fond of your treatment towards the witches. An almost fatherlike role like your father. My name changes per each culture, but my favorable name is Athena," the possessed Akko explained.

"Goddess of wisdom and justice. Oh, that is great," Indy said, rolling his head around. He heard Brody shouting, telling him to hurry up.

"So, Dr. Jones, what is your choice?" the possessed Akko asked dreamily.

Indy thought for a second. He then closed his eyes, his hand on his heart, and he picked up his left foot. His other hand clenching the wall, he then took a leap of faith. As soon as he leaped, his foot had planted itself on top of the thin air. Indy opened his eyes to see that he is still alive. He looked around and down to see why he is still floating in the air. And then he figured it.

"The first crusaders have painted a pathway to align with the rocks 100 feet below. A highly evolved camouflage that makes people believe they are walking on air," Indy told the magical being.

"You never fail to amaze you know that Dr. Jones. Now come on, we still have to help your father," she said. Indy tipped his hat and followed the possessed girl. When he reached the end of the bridge, he knelt down and threw some dirt on the bridge.

Indy followed the possessed young girl through a small opening in the side of the cliff. They entered a temple. There was a vast array of chalices that were displayed on the altar. There were many sizes, with many shapes. Some were gold, others were silver, but they all glitter and shine. Indy was mesmerized by this sight. The possessed Akko got Indy's attention and pointed to a man praying at the altar. His back was turned to Indy, but Indy notices him as one of the grail knights. When the grail knight sees Indy and Akko, he wearily gets to his feet and surprisingly prepares to give combat. Taking up his two-handed broadsword, he comes at Indy and Akko, attempting to swing the huge, heavy sword but finding the effort almost too much. Indy dodged the attacks, with the possessed Akko gracefully moving side to side. Neither of them made any attempt to fight back. The knight was exhausted, dropping his sword and collapsing.

"I knew you'd two come, but my strength has left me," the knight said exhausted.

"Who are you?" Indy asked in curiosity.

"The last of three brothers who swore an oath to find the Grail and to guard it," the knight explained.

"That was seven hundred years ago," Indy said in surprise.

"A long time to wait," the knight said. He then approached the two and fingered their clothing. "You two are strangely dressed for a knight and a young maiden."

"We are not exactly a knight and maiden," Indy corrected, "But, what do you mean?"

"I was chosen because I was the bravest and the most worthy. The honor was mine until another came to challenge me to single combat. I pass it to you who will vanquish me," the knight explained. The grail knight held his sword out to Indy.

"We have not come to kill you, kind mortal," the possessed Akko said, with a look of sympathy towards the old knight.

The knight looked confused, but Indy cleared up what Akko meant. "Don't mind her. But listen, I don't have to explain. You see…" Indy began. But then he got cut off by Donovan and Elsa who appeared. Donovan turned to see the display of the cups. Indy was about to intervene, but the possessed Akko put her arm across his chest.

"Which one is it?" Donovan asked.

"You must choose. But choose wisely. For as the true Grail will bring you life, the false grail will take it from you," the knight explained.

"I'm not a historian. I have no idea what it looks like. Which one is it?" Donovan asked in despair.

"Let me choose," Elsa volunteered.

"Thank you, Doctor," Donovan said gratefully.

Elsa looked at Indy and Akko. She became frightened when she saw into Akko's eyes. It was not the eyes of a young schoolgirl, but something way, way, worse. They were eyes of a more furious and supernatural force. Indy notice this and smirked. Elsa gulped and started looking around for a cup. She chose a cup that had a solid gold, emerald encrust on it. She gave it to Donovan who took it instantly away from her.

"Oh yes. This is more beautiful than I'd ever imagined. This certainly is the cup of the King of Kings," Donovan said triumphantly. He rushed to the well and filled the goblet with water. "To eternal life!" he blessed. He drank the goblet. The possessed Akko gave a sinister smile which Donovan and Elsa noticed. Donovan's body started to convulse, with his face contorting in agony. Donovan grabbed his stomach and turned toward Akko.

"What have you done to me?" he asked in pain.

"A man who sides with evil should never be the one who holds the power of the grail," the possessed witch said.

Donovan started to age fast. His hair was growing at an alarming rate. It was gray and brittle. His face was sinking in, fingernails were curling back on themselves. Milk cataracts were forming underneath his eyes. Elsa was screaming, while the witch was laughing manically. Indy looked on with horror at what was happening to Donovan.

"What…is…. happening?" Donovan asked in shock. His skin was turning brown and leathery and was stretched across his bones until it splits. His skeletal hands reach for Akko's throat, choking her. Akko was still laughing maniacally while Indy rushed forward and pushed Donovan away. As he fell, his body broke into flames, shattering against the wall.

"He chose poorly," the knight said solemnly.

Indy looked at the knight in horror. He then looked at the chalices and study them. Akko stopped him before he chose any of them. "Dr. Jones, the cup will be one not made of jewel," she advised.

Indy nodded and picked up a cup that is of a simple earthenware jug. He examined it and said, "That's the cup of a carpenter." He, Akko, and Elsa exchanged a look.

"There is only one way to find out Dr. Jones," Akko told Indy. Indy went to the well and filled the jug with water. Pausing, fearing that he only has one chance, Indy brings the jug to his lips and takes several large swallows. There was a strange sensation that overcame him, a feeling of peace and contentment. Indy's wounds also began to heal.

"You have chosen wisely. But the grail cannot pass beyond the great seal. That is the boundary and the price of immortality," the knight warned.

Indy nodded and ran off, with Elsa and Akko following behind him. Indy came forward with the grail towards his father, with Elsa standing by him and Akko watching from afar. Diana notices this and, examining her friend, notices that she is acting differently as if someone is possessing her. Akko pupils were not their usual colors and were not black like a demon. They were almost a white and angelic color. As Indy made his way to his father, the two Germans guards were in shock by the possessors of the grail. They put down their guns and kneeled to them.

Indy knelt by his father's side and tilted his forward, holding the grail to his lips. Henry was too weak to even open his eyes. Henry swallowed some of the water, with much of it running down the corners of his mouth. Indy finally poured the rest of the water over the wound, and everyone watched in astonishment as the wound and bloodstain disappear before their eyes. The color returned to Henry's face. The possessed witch who was overseeing this smiled at the reunion between father and son. The powerful spirit who has taken over Akko's body left, causing the young witch to faint. Diana ran to her friend making sure she was ok. Akko's eyes were shut for a few minutes, but then she opened her eyes smiling. Diana smiled back too, hugging her friend with all the love she can shower over her. While they were hugging, Henry's eyes opened with the first thing he saw was the grail. His face lit up with glee, with his attention turning to his son.

The soldiers try to rush forward, but Sallah stopped them, pointing a rifle at the Germans. "Drop your guns, please," he ordered. The Nazis did as they were told with their arms in surrender.

"Dad, come on. Get to your feet," Indy said, helping his father out. The witches were watching this, smiling, but their direction turned to Elsa. She picked up the grail and turned facing everyone alight with possession of the grail.

"Elsa, what the fuck are you doing?" Amanda shouted back knowing that the Austrian doctor is going to fuck something up.

"We have got it guys, come on," Elsa said in delight. She stepped onto the edge of the great seal.

Indy notices this and try to stop her, "Elsa! Elsa, don't move!" he ordered.

"It's ours, Indy. Yours and mine," Elsa said.

"Elsa are you fucking stupid, Indy said not to move," Amanda shouted.

"And why would I listen to you girls. You guys are too young," Elsa said.

"Even though we are too young, we know to listen to advice from an ancient knight," Akko said weakly, remembering what the spirit made her watch. Everyone was surprised, with Indy and Elsa being in more of a shock than everyone else. They didn't know that Akko was still in her body when the spirit took control of her body.

Indy's shock worn out with his attention towards the Austrian woman. "Listen to the girls Elsa. The knight warned us not to cross the seal and to the grail from here," Indy warned.

All of a sudden a rumbling sound is heard, with the ground roaring and shifting. "Oh that is not good," Sucy said, "Earthquake!" Dirt was falling from the ceiling of the cavern with Elsa falling on the great seal. The grail bounced away from her grasp. Elsa tries reaching for it, but the ground beneath her begins to split open. Elsa slips into the crevasse, screaming. Elsa is hanging perilously in the abyss, with the grail almost within her reach.

"Dad! You, Brody, and Sallah get the girls out of here," Indy ordered. His father did what he was told, helping the girls escaped from the collapsing temple. Indy slides forward, managing to grab one of Elsa's hands.

When all the girls got out of the temple, with Marcus and Sallah leading them out, Henry went back inside looking for his son. "Junior! Junior!" Henry called out.

With her free hand, Elsa is trying to reach the grail. Indy was having trouble saving her, due to her not giving Indy her free hand. "Elsa, don't do it. Elsa, Elsa, you have to give me your other hand, honey. I can't hold you," Indy said in a strained voice, trying to hold onto her.

"I can reach it, I can…" Elsa said, reaching for the grail. Her hand was beginning to slip from Indy's grasp.

"Elsa! Give me your other hand!" Indy yelled out. Elsa just manages to grab the grail. In doing so, she has tipped the balance too far, with Indy sliding another yard. Elsa lost her grip and fell to her death, screaming. "Elsa!" Indy shouted in horror. The ledge Indy was lying upon began to break apart. Henry grabbed onto one of his son's hands, as Indy was struggling to reach the Grail, the same way Elsa try to do.

"Junior, give me your other hand! I can't hold on!" Henry shouted in a strained voice.

"I can get it, I can almost reach it, Dad," Indy said, trying to reach the grail.

"Indiana. Indiana." Henry said calmly. Indy snapped up, looking up to his father, who never called him this before. "Let it go," Henry continued. Indy abandons the grail, grabbing onto his father with both of his hands. His father pulled him up to safety.

The grail knight was looking over the chaos that is happening. Henry caught sight of the knight, who rose his hand to him. "Dad…," Indy started trying to pulling him away, "Please, Dad." Indy and Henry went down to a passageway, just as a huge stone column tumbles down upon the spot where they stood. The grail knight lowered his arm, as he watches them leave. Accepting his fate, the knight sat down on a stone.

Indy, Henry, Sallah, the girls, and Brody emerged from the mountain temple through the Grecian façade. Within the temple, the roar of walls caving in is heard, with clouds of dust and smoke billowing out from the entrance.

"You have to be kidding me, that bitch had ruined our chance to get back home," Amanda screamed out, kicking the sand.

The girls were saddened with the realization, knowing they might never go back home. That was until Akko heard a familiar voice whispering into her ear. "Check your pockets. I left you a gift for the trouble I put you through my young witch," the voice whispered. Akko searched her pockets, feeling inside them. There, in her right pocket, was something lumpy and heavy that was not there before. She took out the item and examine it. The item was a red stone, shiny through the African sun.

"Umm guys," Akko shouted. Her friends didn't pay attention to her, still sad that they are not going home. "Guys!" Akko shouted, this time louder. The girls now paid attention, and what they saw gave them a huge shock.

"How did you get that? When did you get that?" Amanda asked in confusion.

Diana then realized what happened. "It was the spirit. The one who possessed you. She was the one who gave you the stone," Diana said. Akko nodded in embarrassment.

While the girls were talking, Indy was looking at the enclosed temple. His father walked up to him and said, "Elsa never really believed in the grail. She thought she'd found a prize."

"What did you find, Dad?" Indy asked turning to his dad.

"Me?" Henry started, but he had to think about it for a second. He replied with, "Illumination." Henry and Indy were mounting their horses when the girls notice they were about to leave. As the girls were getting on their horses, Henry turned back to his son and asked, "What did you find, Junior?"

Indy turned to his dad, still annoyed at that name. "Junior?! Dad…" he begins to say but was interrupted by Sallah.

"Please, what does it always mean, this, this 'Junior'?" Sallah asked.

"That's his name, Henry Jones, Junior," Henry answered.

"I like Indiana," Indy said in defeat.

"We named the dog Indiana," Henry said.

"Wait you were named after a dog. Ha, oh now that is some comedy gold," Amanda said, starting to laugh her ass off. Sallah, Sucy, and Akko joined in laughing at the situation and origin of Indy's name.

"May we go home now, please?" Brody pleaded.

"Wow, you were named after a dog. I will say not the worse origin of a name," Akko said, still laughing.

"I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog," Indy said, embarrassed at the situation. A moment has passed with everyone ready their mounts and Sallah, Sucy, and Akko continuing laughing at Indy's expense.

"Ready?" Indy asked his father.

"Ready," Henry confirmed.

"Indy! Henry! Girls! Follow me, I know the way! Haa!" Brody shouted, galloping fast out of the temple.

"Don't worry Indy, I will get him," Amanda said, and with a haa, her horse galloped faster catching up to Brody.

Indy, Sallah, Henry, and the rest of the girls watched on, with Henry asking Indy, "Got lost in his own museum, huh?"

"Uh-huh," Indy answered.

"After you, Junior," Henry said.

"Yes sir! Haaa!" Indy said, galloping through the canyons. The girls smiled and followed him, with Henry and Sallah being behind them. They thunder through the canyon, whose towering walls were threatening to collapse upon them. Everyone was riding from the canyon toward the setting sun, with the speed matching each other.
