I wrote this fanfiction a very long time ago, it must be nearly ten years ago now. So I thought I'd dust it off and retell this story, it will be nice reliving it again. I wanted to write about the Wammy House, the school always interested me.

I first remember reading Another Note, I immediately took a shining to Beyond Birthday a.k.a BB or Backup. I love the anime series too, it's still holds its own until this very day.

-I don't own Death Note.

-My laptop charger decided to die on me - I'm sorry for any spelling errors and silly mistakes.

-Thank you for the reviews, faves and alerts!

-This opening chapter is from my oc Elizabeth's point of view, my writing style will change after this chapter.

Enjoy!

Chapter 15!

Months Later

The months had flown by since the horrible events that had happened that night at The Wammy House, the memories from that night had become more clear for Elizabeth. But she was trying to forget about them, she had nightmares for months about The Midnight Slasher after that night's events at the orphanage. Her Aunt Thora had sent her to have some therapy at the local hospital because she was worried about her Great Niece's mental health. Elizabeth hadn't visited the orphanage since then, her Aunt wouldn't allow it. She was allowed to stay in touch with A though, she rang him twice a week and wrote him letters sometimes. She missed him and a few of the other children from The Wammy House, but she understand why her Aunt was keeping her away from the orphanage.

Zipping up her blue duffel bag Elizabeth was getting ready for a trip, she was going visit her Mum's friend Bella in Oxford for a week. She hadn't seen her since she was nine, she was looking forward to seeing her again. They had stayed in touch with each other over the years like they had promised. Bella had a little boy of her own now and Elizabeth was looking forward to meeting him in person. His name was Jamie, she had been sent a few photographs of him over the years that she kept on her bedroom wall near her bed.

" Elizabeth, your taxi is here!" Rose yelled from downstairs. " Are you ready yet?!"

" Just give me a moment!" Elizabeth replied.

" I'll tell the taxi driver five minutes then!" Rose yelled back. " I know what you're like!"

Elizabeth put her red coat on and hung her bag over her shoulder, she needed to hurry because the train left the station at 10:45am. She left her bedroom and hurried down the staircase. Elizabeth gave Rose a hug and a quick kiss on her cheek, she would miss her while she was gone. Rose told Elizabeth ring her the moment she arrived in Oxford, she then made sure the young girl had her train ticket in her bag.

" Are you sure you don't want me to come with you to Oxford?" Rose asked while she buttoned up her coat." I know you want your independence, but you're only thirteen after all..."

" I'll be fine!" Elizabeth said with a sigh. " Stop worrying about me! Aunt Thora said it's fine for me to travel alone. Besides, Bella will be meeting me at the train station in Oxford."

" Do remember where you've arranged to meet her?" Rose asked.

" Yes, I'm meeting Bella by the clock lamp post near the paper shop on the platform." Elizabeth replied. " So stop worrying about me, I'll be fine!"

" I know, but I'll still worry about you until you ring us!" Rose smiled before she straightened out the collar on the Elizabeth's coat." Do you have your purse in your bag too? Your Aunt has put £20 in your purse, there's also some change in your purse in case you need to make a phone call for any reason."

" Yes, I have my purse." Elizabeth replied with a sigh. " I'm all set to go!"

" Miss Havisham!" Rose called. " Elizabeth is ready to leave now!"

Elizabeth looked over her shoulder when she heard a walking cane tapping along the wooden floor of the lounge, she turned around to face the lounge's doorway. Her Aunt walked through the doorway, she tucked some of her hair behind her ear while her Aunt gave her one of her stern expressions before she took a step towards her.

" I hope you have a pleasant train journey to Oxford." Thora said, she held a medium sized white cardboard box towards her with a couple of red coloured envelopes balanced on top it. " This parcel arrived this morning., it's from The Wammy House."

" Thank you." Elizabeth said.

" These cards are for Bella and her family from me, I would like you to thank her on my behalf for letting you stay at her home for the next week." Thora said. " I think this little break from Winchester will do you some good, also will you give her my seasonal greetings and remember to greet her in the correct manner!"

" Okay, I'll will pass on your message." Elizabeth smiled.

" Do you have your train ticket and spending money for the train journey?" Thora asked.

" Yes, I put my train ticket and my purse in my bag last night before I went to bed." Elizabeth replied before she put her woolly hat on her head. " I double checked that I had them both in my bag this morning. Rose just checked too, so I'm all set to go!"

" Very good!" Thora smiled, she looked over at Rose. " I think Elizabeth will be needing a bag for those cards and box. Did you get that gift bag from my study like I asked you this morning?"

" Yes Miss Havisham, I have it right here." Rose replied.

Elizabeth took the box and envelopes from her Aunt, she then carefully placed them in the Christmas gift bag Rose was holding open for her. She said her goodbyes to her family and hurried along the pathway from the cottage, she then waved to them both before she got into the taxi.

The Train Station

It wasn't long until Elizabeth arrived at Winchester Train Station, it was now 10:30am. She got out of the taxi and grabbed her duffel bag before she took the gift bag from the backseat of the taxi. She thanked the taxi driver before she ventured into the train station, but she stopped outside of a shop inside of the station and brought herself some lunch for the train journey. Elizabeth smiled to herself when she noticed some little shark snapper toys in a blue bucket outside of the shop, she remembered Bella buying her one when she first arrived in Winchester. She decided to buy Jamie one, she paid for the toy and made her way to the platform. She sat down on a bench near a little cafe and watched passengers walking up and down the platform.

It wasn't that busy at this hour, she thought there would have been more people around though since it was the festive period. There was just twenty-two days left until Christmas. It wasn't long until the train to Oxford pulled into the station, she picked up her bags and stood there for moment while she watched people boarding the train. She took one last look around the platform before she boarded the train. She chose a train compartment to sit in and placed her bags down on a red passenger seat, the train soon left the station.

" What should I do for the next hour and a half?" Elizabeth asked.

Elizabeth's glaze soon wandered to the Christmas bag on the seat next to her, she decided to see what was in the box from the orphanage. She took the box from the gift bag and pulled the pieces of sellotape from around the lid before she broke the wax steal on the box. She noticed an inked Gothic A inside of the box when she removed the lid, it seemed liked the gift was from A. She let a soft laugh escape her lips while she took a book from the box, the title said Great Expectations.

" I should have known!" Elizabeth smiled.

For some reason A thought the book was written about Elizabeth's Aunt Thora just because she shared the same surname has one of the characters in the book. He even made fun of Elizabeth sometimes saying she was her Aunt's young ward like Estella in the book to Miss Havisham. She knew her Aunt was stern and quiet cold at times with her, but she didn't think she using her for a tool to avenge her broken heart or something silly like that. Placing the book down next to her on the seat she rummaged around in the box and took a bag of strawberry flavoured bootlaces from it. There was many random things in the box. Toffees, round badges, stickers of cats, pencils, bottles of red glitter, a little bottle of glue, sequins, cherry flavoured lip gloss, gold stars and a green coloured tree air freshener.

Elizabeth put the box back into the gift bag and picked the book up from the seat while she unfastened her coat. She pulled her knees to her chest and leaned back against the passenger seat, she then began to read the book to kill some of the train journey time.

A Few Hours Later

It wasn't long until the train pulled into Oxford Station, she put her duffel bag on and picked the gift bag up from the seat. Elizabeth left the compartment and made her way down the corridor with the other passengers, she jumped from the step of the train's doorway and continued walking along the platform. The Oxford train was still the same, it hadn't changed much over the years. The little cafe was still on the corner of the station where she once had tea with her Mum, the newspaper shop was still in the same place too. Christmas music was playing from the train station's ticket offices, it felt festive.

Stopping near the clock lamp post where she had arranged to meet Bella she took a strawberry boot lace from the gift bag and let the lace hang from her mouth while she ate it slowly. Elizabeth leaned her shoulder against the lamp post and sucked the rest of the bootlace into her mouth. A woman's voice from behind her caught her attention.

" Elizabeth, is that you?"

Elizabeth wiped some drool away from her chin and turned around to face the woman. A tall blonde haired woman was standing behind her, she was wearing a long black fluffy coat and she was holding a yellow umbrella in her hand. Elizabeth looked her up and down with a smile on her face, it was Bella.

" Bella!" Elizabeth said before she wrapped her arms around her waist. " I'm so happy to make your acquaintance again after all of these years! I've been looking forward to seeing you since you agreed that I could come and visit you!"

" Look at you!" Bella smiled, she wrapped her arms around the girl. " You look just like your Mother when she was your age, how was your train journey? I can't believe how grownup you look and the way you speak, you sound so posh! I can't believe you're the same little girl I took to Winchester all those years ago!"

" My train journey was fine, it was kind of boring though..." Elizabeth replied while she pulled herself away from the woman. " I brought Jamie a shark snapper toy, I thought he would like one. I can remember you buying me one when I first arrived at the train station in Winchester, I still have it my bedroom back at my Aunt's cottage."

" I guess things never change, you complained about being bored every two minutes when I took you to Winchester to live with your Aunt." Bella smiled, she put her arm around Elizabeth and led her towards the entrance of the train station. " Come on, let's you get warmed up! There's someone dying to meet you back at my house, but he maybe having his afternoon nap by now."

" Okay, I can't wait to meet him!" Elizabeth smiled.

" So, how is your Aunt?" Bella asked. " Rose told me that she was ill a few months ago, is she feeling better now?"

" Oh yes, she's feeling much better now!" Elizabeth replied, she looked at Bella. " My Aunt Thora told me to give you her seasonal greetings too, I have some Christmas cards for you from her. Will it be okay if I use your house telephone when we arrive at your house? I promised Rose and my Aunt that I would ring them when I arrived in Oxford."

" That's good, I'm glad she is feeling better now." Rose replied with smile. " Of course you can use my phone sweetie, I would like you to treat my home has your own while you're staying with me."

" Really?" Elizabeth asked.

" Yeah, I want you to feel at home." Bella replied before she took her car keys from her coat pocket. " I hope you still like beans on toast, that's all I've got in until I go food shopping tomorrow."

" Of course, it's one of my favorite meals still!" Elizabeth replied with a smile. "Can I come food shopping with you tomorrow? I would love to see Oxford town center again. Will there also be a chance for me to visit my Mum and Grandmother's grave? It's been years since I last visited them..."

" Sure, we can do that." Bella replied.

" Cool, I can't wait!" Elizabeth smiled.
